Sehr nettes Kastell mit einer kurzen, aber netten und informativen Führung.

Das Kastell wie auch der kleine Ort Jagua, an der Einfahrt zur Bucht von Cienfuegos gelegen, sind ein Halbtagsausflug wert.Wenn man die 35 km westlich der Bucht fährt, passiert man auch die erschreckend aussehende Bauruine des einzigen in Kuba geplanten Kernkraftwerkes. Die Bauarbeiten sind seit dem Jahr 2000 endgültig eingestellt.Kürzer mit 26 km und auch schöner ist die Fahrt östlich um die Bucht über Playa Rancho Luna zum Hotel Pascaballo. Unterhalb des Hotels fährt eine kleine Personenfähre etwa 1mal stündlich nach Jagua. Parkplätze sind nahe dem Fähranleger vorhanden.

Eines der Highlights unserer Kuba Reise 2015.insbesondere wegen der privaten Führung. So lange und so ausführlich hatte ich noch nie eine Führung. Ob es der Aufbau des Castello, die Abwehranlagen an Land und gegen Schieffe, der gewählte Bauort, alles wurde uns ganz ausführlich erklärt. Das Beste war, dass ich zum ersten Mal in meinem Leben eine funktionierende Zugbrücke bedienen durfte.

Das Castle war ganz nett für einen Nachmittagsausflug, der Eintritt mit 5 CUC aber relativ hoch, schöne Ausblicke, aber leider gastronomisch null.Was wirklich spektakulär war und kubanisches Feeling pur vermittelt hat, war die Boots-Überfahrt von etwas über 1 Stunde Dauer. Wir befanden uns auf einer gefühlt uralten Fähre inmittten kubanischer Arbeiter mit Schubkarrren, Kanistern, Dünger- oder Hühnersäcken, Schulkindern und eher weniger Touristen, aber hoffnungslos überfüllt. Nirgendwo auf Kuba sonst ist mir das kubanische Lebensgefühl und die Hilfsbereitschaft so vermittelt worden wie auf dieser Bootsfahrt. Chaotisch aber absolut eindrucksvoll!

If youre randomly in this little nook of Cuba, the Jagua castle is really cool. Very cheap tour and fascinating look into the history of the area. The guide spoke very little English, but spoke Spanish slowly and repeated herself until we understood the gist.Getting here involved finding a ride at a hospital in nearby Cienfuegos (still not exactly sure how we managed thatand a 30+ minute drive to the odd Soviet-era hotel across the bay. Then we somehow managed our way onto a ferry that left us alone on a dirt road, and a super nice dude with a horse and carriage rolled up and gave us a ride in for about $1. I think you can take the ferry more directly, but we got off early to check out the nearby defunct Soviet power plant.All in all, a fantastic little place with a fun jaunt into Cuban history. Nearby local restaurants are a great way to kill time until the ferry returns!

A nice day trip by boat across the river. The castle is very interesting with a small museum and a guide (Spanishis helpful. The views are spectacular. The steps and spiral staircase might be difficult to navigate so wear good shoes. There is a working draw bridge which is very interesting and rare so do t miss this.

Uno de los castillos más importantes de la isla. Vale la pena visitarlo. Con el ferry es muy fácil de encontrar.

美しい景色の場所です。城内に礼拝堂があり、主祭壇側の床下に一人の死者（白骨）が埋葬されて居ました。博物館員が言うには、人物の特定はできないが、その死者がスペイン人であることは確かだそうです。この一帯は墓地で沢山の人達が埋葬されて居たということでした。少し神妙な気持ちになりました。

Die Festung Jagua ( Castillo de Jagua befindet sich in der Nähe des Eingangs zur Cienfuegos Bay. Es lohnt sich, sie zu besuchen. Mit einer Führung bekommst Du viele Informationen.

Место достойное и обязательное для посещения . От отеля Пасокабайо ходит катерочек. Образец испанской колониальной фортификации. Со смотровой площадки открывается великолепный вид на вход в бухту.

Precioso lugar

Very attractive old fort rebuilt according the old plans. Its strategical position enabled to protect the important waterway with very simple means. The Blue Dame story is special.

Chateau et village tranquille, une "lancha" permet dy accéder depuis la route en face mais également depuis la zone portuaire de Cienfuegos, petit prix, on peut manger sur place dans des casas au bord de l eau a discuter avec rabatteuses au quai d arrivée, bonne occasion de manger de la langouste a petit prix !

Non deve mancare una escursione al Castillo de jagua. Il battello sempre affollato da paura ma il panorama è molto bello. Consiglio a fermarsi sul pontile a degustare i piatti locali

Sitio obligado. En la entrada de la Bahía de Cienfuegos. Hay que tomar un Ferri para llegar ahí. La entrada no excede los 8 CUC que incluye la visita guiada. El tiempo de recorrido es de 30 minutos máximo.Los administradores son muy amables

No es una de las mayores, ni mejores, fortalezas de Cuba pero merece la pena una visita.

A very well kept castle. Built to defend the bay of Cienfuegos from pirates and other undesirables. There is a little Soviet era history in the area too. Its worth a trip if youre in the Cienfuegos area for some time.Take a taxi down to the opposite side of the inlet and take the ferry across. Also, not far away and well worth the trip is Luna beach. It is truly beautiful

Castillo muy bien cuidado me he sorprendido de lo bien mantenido que está su puerta pasillo que comunica para pasar el foso funciona perfectamente cosa que no he visto en muchos castillos el algives es una pasada con sus escaleras en el lateral para bajar las vistas buenas vale lapena verlo una pena que sea tan pequeño
