Upscale hotel in a 17th century island palace with stylish dining, lake views, a spa & a museum.
It is more of restaurant/bar than a tourist attraction, but still the view from middle of the lake Pichola is lovely. The boat ride to get there is also a part of that attraction, you get to veiw the whole City Palace from the ride in the lake. I have added some photos from the boat ride and from the Jagmandir Palace itself, and if they do any justice, youll find it amazing.
Beautiful place in the middle of lake. Must have experience. We had dinner at this place. Very courteous service and decent food.
This is well known attraction spot for tourists and is also called "Lake garden Palace. Overall best place for hanging sometime with pleasant atmosphere but the ticket price(500rsfor boating is too high and will increase in evening upto 300rs extra i. e 800rs.
Awesome Location. Right in the middle of the lake.Super fresh n greeny Place.Food was great however service super slow.Last boat departs at 6 for visitors.
One of the best place to chill out and see the real beauty of Udaipur. I went there with my closest friends and had a great time there. The only downside is the food & drinks were way too expensive 😅But overall it’s a great place to chill and enjoy Udaipur to the Fullest.Attaching one of my Reel to showcase most of the pictures of the Floating Palace! 🏰
Boat Ride from City Palace, Beautiful palace on an islandTook a boat ride from inside City Palace around 1pm. Ticket price was around 300-400 but increases in the evening.Takes around 15 minutes to reach the palace after getting views of Lake Pichhola. You can spend an hour on the island if just want to visit. There is a restaurant which costs about 1180 Rs. for a lunch buffet for a single person.Offers perfect views of the lake and has a beautiful palace, the perfect spots for clicking pictures. The return boat comes every 15 minutes and you can exit the drop spot from inside the city palace or move towards Karni Mata temple
You can take the boat from city palace to reach this place. I also heard that they have local boat as well which are not so expensive. There is garden and some spots where you can enjoy and take beautiful pictures. There are some restaurants as well but expensive.4 star because of the cost of reaching 500 rupees per person to this place.Of course amazing place and great view. Even boat ride is fun but 500 rupees just for the boat ride doesnt sound good.
Expensive but must experience place.. Food is also good.. Staff is also cooperative.. Best view and photo clicking spot with garden and peaceDinner 3500 + gst per couple and lunch is a la cart ..Entry includes pikup drop entry etc so 1000 rs + gstCar parking inside 350 rs
Well the place is quite beautifully located across river and boat is there from Pichola to take you to this point. Boat fares are 500 per person in afternoon and that increases to 800 in evening. It has restaurant with inner and outside seatings. Not a doubt you should opt for outside as you get beautiful views of lake Pichola along with food which makes you feel content and enjoy it. Menu prices are quite higher and quantity is less so it’s quite tough on pocket if you like to order things and have there. Otherwise you can just roam round and click some pictures which come out quite good. Return boat timings are every one hour and you can return to originating place which is boarding point in lake Pichola located near city museum.
The Jag mandir Island is no doubt beautiful but for a ticket price of 530/- per person till 3:00p.m and 830/- per person after 3:00 p.m is too much. (Mind you the fare only includes the boat ride and entry to the islandThere’s a garden and a couple of high end expensive restaurants on the island that serve food only after 6:00p.m in the evening, so if you plan to visit before 3:00p.m to save the extra 300 bucks believe me you are only ending up paying to visit a garden
Jag Mandir is an island palace and a private property between the popular lake pichola. You have to buy entry tickets to the city palace and then from the Palace compound you can buy boating tickets to visit Jag Mandir palace. Ticket cost per Indian adult and child for morning time is Rs. 500 and Rs. 250/- respectively. (Two way, Aug 2022)Evening ticket is 800/-
Ride to the Jag Mandir is extremely grateful.. Boat ride to the jag mandir gives you memorable time. If you go by night time it will be out the box experience..
Good property situated in between pichhola lake. So costly. Boat ride of Rs. 800 per person is not worth it. Royal family charge from visitors as per there own without thinking about general situations.
Good place, better to visit in Eve.For lunch buffet it costs around 1.2 k person and dinner for 2.5 k (approx)Coffee prices are much similar to familiar cafe franchises so thats one of the best part.We can kill around 1 hr so after visiting City palace we can go here by boat ride and can have some food.Entry from boat and exit are different dont get confused. After every 15-20 min boats will be available for pick and drop services.
Good place. No general cafeteria is there if you reach before 11 there. Make sure to full yourself so that you can enjoy the amazing place.
Great place to hangout and enjoy the lake. Enjoy good drinks and good food there. Be care of the boat timings. Don’t get stranded on the island and head to mainland before the last boat departs.
Wonderful place. Peaceful island in the middle of lake pichola. The boat ride is a treat, lovely views of aravali and a clean lake with birds. The place is so good and a must visit. Just fyi its super costly and boat leaves every hour. Your ticket before 2pm is 500 + 30 for entry to ticket area from in front of kings residence and after 2 pm its 800 +30
Want to go to Jag Mandir, for that have to purchase a ticket (which cost around 500/person from a city palace because through the boating you can reach the destination as its lake-centre. Views from the boating totally worth it. To spend time , theres a restaurant, a history telling building and a garden. But once youve done with all the activities over there than to get back to City palace have to wait for a boat which comes after every hour. So its kinda make you dependant.
Jag Mandir is a palace built on an island in the Lake Pichola. It is also called the "Lake Garden Palace". The palace is located in Udaipur city in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The royal family used the palace as a summer resort and pleasure palace for holding parties. It will welcomed by beatifully carved elephants. It have a nice garden.Boating through lake pichola will lead us to this palace. No xtra ticket fare is again taken from here. Can be spend 15-20min here till next boat comes to pick us. Inside some cafes are there.
Lovely experience travel through a boat to reach jagmandir which technically there is no mandir inside here.. peaceful atmosphere especially at evening with sunset..water bottle cost you around rs110 volcanic water, and a simple orange juice cost you 260rs because of its location and maintenance of area..
Takes 800rs per person to go on a boat from jetty to jagmandir.. it has a basic restaurant, serving very decent food.. charges average.. not something u would want to travel and go during Summers.. no sight seeing.. no attractions.. if u have plenty of time.. u may think of visiting..
The booking for jagmandi happens from city palace you can book lunch or dinner or else you can just book a ride to jagmandir and later decide to have food there. It a place to enjoy sunset.
Fantastic place at Udaipur amidst lake. Worth an evening. Do spare at least half a day for 2 way boat ride and some time there. Evenings preferred.
JAG MANDIR IS A PALACE BUILT ON ISLAND IN THE "LAKE PICHOLA" feels best when visited in golden hours ( sunset. Boat is what you will need from city palace to reach Jag Mandir ,fare for the boat ride which also gives you a small tour of pichola before landing you onto the Jag Mandir increases post 2 "o" clock.Jag Mandir has a restraunt by HRH group which has both indoor and outdoor door sitting along with a view of life time and also, the breath taking view of city palace especially at sunset which turns the entire palace into Gold .Food is on the expensive side but its worth the ambiance , music and the experienceAnd most importantly it tastes super delicious that you might end up over eating.Thay also have a buffet worth 1900 for each which you might think is expensive but its something you will never regret spending on.However the dining, food and cusine is equivalent or higher than that of Taj . Hence, I Found It worth.
Its a best experience of Rajasthani architecture. Located in the Lake Pichola. Its a beautiful structure seems like a marble floating in a lake. It is named as "Jagat Mandir" in honor of Maharana Jagat Singh and, also known as the "Lake Garden Palace".Constructed in the 17th century, and is a joint contribution of 3 Rajput rulers. A statue of an elephant made of white marble welcomes every tourist to Jag Mandir. We can reach Jag Mandir with the help of jetty facility from Bansi Ghat. The following structures are included with-in the campus of Jag MandirGul Mahal:Gul Mahal is surrounded by circular apartments which are made of red and black marbles. Each marble is engraved with murals and paintings. Also Jag mandir houses a small museum which is an attraction for all the historians.A must visit in Udaipur..Good luck.!!
Must visit place, in summer better to catch boat before 3pm at price of 500₹ , after 3pm boat charges 800₹, then explore and stay there till it gets closed (6pm)
Good for the boat ride which is too costly to 500 PP. Nothing much inside, good one time visit. Again long queues and poor management.Tickets ideally should have numbering so order is maintainedDo reach before 2 as price increase after that.Best way to get entry here is via SitlaMata Mandir gate, if you dont want to visit CityPalace.
Heaven in Lake a must visit boat ride and beautiful sunset view. Till 5 pm boat ride will cost u ₹800 per person.
Scenic place, garden open till 7 pm. Buffet and services are lacking. Order ala cart. Quite expensive.Boat ride was the high point.
Completely new experience to have candle light dinner at such a scenic place. Very beautiful architecture and cleanliness maintained. But expensive because the price they charge is not justifying for what they provide in buffet.
To reach the Jagmandir palace one has to take the boat ride from city palace premises. I would recommend to visit this place during sunset so that you get saved from the scorching sun and see the beautiful sunset during boating. The only bummer was that most of the Jagmandir palace area was closed and could not be visited by tourists.
We visited Jagmandir , Udaipur from Citipalace boat club. The sun set boat ride( to & frocosts Rs 800 plus Rs 30 GST tax. The last boat leaves at 5.30pm. The morning boat rides costs Rs 500.Jagmandir is a beautiful island palace built on Lake Pichola. One can easily spend more than an hour at this beautiful place. The sun setting view is wonderous.
Calm, serene and expensive this place was in the late 2020. It was worth spending few hours here and I recommend it to families on Udaipur trip. Delicious food and amenities rich this place is.. 👍👍
Place is well maintained and give us a point to click several photos. For explorers, nothing much to explore here.Place has a restaurant and a beautiful garden where you can spend some time.
Jagmandir is an amazing location right in the centre of Lake Pichhola to have your functions at, if you can afford to. Also they do have a restaurant as well. Really loved it
It is not what name suggest,Its not a temple but a restaurant built at centre of the Lake Pichhola.Scenic beauty around it with a view of almost all ghats of the Pichhola lake and Taj palace in distance.Ride to the Jagmandir is a boat ride from City palace for which charges depends on the time of day you are visiting.A best place to enjoy your sunset, so a sunset ride to be preferred in the evening. If you are planning to have something, its not pricy as such but yes in a manner it is. But its worth experiencing. And beauty of this, shall always be locked in your heart forever.
Jag Mandir, pretty well known tourist spot in udaipur, definitely has mist more than its being talked about. Lucky to get some rainbows during our visit, this place by pichola lake is just amazing for nice romantic cup of coffee with you BAE. Dont miss the walk at the garden, opposite the cafe
Jag Mandir is situated in the center of Lake Pichola in Udaipur. If you want to experience Jag Mandir you can go there for a dinner which costs around 2500+ 30 rupees for entry. Boat ride to Jag Mandir will give you goosebumps of the beauty in the middle of the lake.
Good place for a mandated photoshop. Lunch option is 1800 per person n dinner is 2500 per person. Didnt have the food there so cant comment on the food quality. All the boat rides do a stopover here so that people can eat , however most would simply do photoshoots. Most areas are only accessible to people who book with them. Otherwise ok place. Well maintained too. Went on Dec 29th 2021.
Such a scenic view to this place. Situated right in the center of Lake Pichola, Jagmandir offers a compete panaromic view of the city across the river. Best time to visit this place would be the evening time around 5-6pm... The view of sunset is something truly amazing. The food as expected is very very expensive but the view it offers while you are dining is second to none.
Nice place with beautiful views. Well maintained and clean.Gardens also beautifully kept.Support staff is polite.Photogenic place... With wonderful 180 degrees views of lake pichhola, Lake Palace and city palace.Public utilities neat and tidy.Must visit place.
Entry to Jagmandir is only possible if one opts for the Lake Pichola boat ride which the city palace offers. It costs 800Rs per ticket unlike the regular boat ride which govt offers at 130Rs. But there it is just a simple boat ride. Palace boats leaves the guests at Jagmandir and tourists can spend as much time as they need there. There is a cafe, not so big palace premise and a vast garden to walk around a click pics. Sunsetbif best viewed from this place. Totally wort the 800Rs ticket!
A stop by at the Jagmandir is part of the boat ride package from the city Palace. One can take a ticket from the counters at the palace walk till the docking bay at board the tour boat. The price of the boat tour is different for day and sunset time. Every tour boat drops everyone at Jagmandir and one can take any ride back (mostly once in half an hourto the mainland. At the point of drop one can either go straight to an eating area which has an outdoor cafe and an indoor buffet dining area run by the HRH group or the Royal family. On the right is a garden which is also rented out. The garden is pretty beautiful and well maintained. There are also a few rooms with a tariff of about 25k.Pros -1.There was almost no one at the garden since most of the crowd was busy in the dining area, we really liked the experience to just sit there in the silence and beautiful setting2. The archs make for some beautiful photo spots3. There is a small museum inside as well but there is scope of improving that to provide a better history to the place.Cons-1. Only buffet option in restaurant and limited food options in cafe2. Limited seating space in the cafe area. The place was full by the time we could reach.
The place is really beautiful. One has to take a boat to reach this place because this place is situated at the center of the lake.If you visit before sunset (till 3pmit t takes 530 rupees to buy the tickets of the boat. After 3pm it takes 830 rupees to do the sunset boating and reaching this temple.
It is very good place but carry your own food and water if you are planning to spend more time at this place. Nothing much to see but quality time can be spent here away from the hustle bustle of the city. Beautiful scenic view of the lake on all 4 sides. Serenity!!!
Another must visit when in Udaipur. Please go there for the sunset because it’s more beautiful post the sunset when they turn on the lights. The evening ride is a bit expensive (around 800 per personbut it’s worth it. The place is photogenic, there’s a cafe inside which is ₹₹₹. You’ll get the tickets from the City Palace. Free parking for 2-wheelers if you go from the other entrance.
The boating experience is beautiful to reach this place. Try to take the last boat after 5 or return by the boat after 5 as you will get a sunset view from boat which is phenomenal. Although the boating ticket price is in higher size (Rs 800). The palace lits up beautifully in the night.P.S: Do give a like if you find the review helpful.
Amazing architecture... Though the ticket is expensive 500 per head, considering theres nothing more than amazing architecture..You will be to Jag Mandir on a boat, they will show a other architecture nearby on the boat& then stop at Jag mandir..
We took boat ride to reach this place which cost Rs.300 per head. Quite beautiful place located in the middle of lake. Nothing much to do just relax and enjoy peaceful surrounding. Lots of beautiful pictures can be taken.
