Jafra Cafe - Coffee shop in As Salt, Jordan
Very nice experience with traditional jordanian food served (lamb ribs with rice and grilled vegetables). The staff was very friendly. And also the price was quite ok compared with the service. The menu is also translated in English and the staff was also speaking english.
Jafra was recommended by one of our Jordanian friend for lunch. It is in old downtown and well located with valet parking option available. The ambience was super cool with decorative pieces which you dont see regularly. The staff were friendly and gave some good recommendations of dishes to try. All the dishes tried were very good and we all enjoyed it.
Authentic old cafe, lovely atmosphere, and there is a singer who sings old songs using oriental string instrument.
Nice place for drinks and to chill. The food used to be much better but it is OK over all
Old downtown atmosphere. A lot of tourists and souvenir shops around. Menu is not as inclusive as before but include good dishes andwthnic side dishes such as 🍆🍆 🍖 🍇 leaves, fatteh and omelettes poured hot out of a clay container. Fresh juices, cafe menu and teas.
Good food, good coffee. Really nothing to complain about except maybe that it seemed a little bit too touristy. Still worth visiting.
We tried the chicken sajiyeh, the kebab and the cheese manakish. Everything was super tasty and I found the prices fair. The staff was super kind, even though their English was not enough sometimes. The balcony is super, we waited ~10 minutes to get a table outside and it was totally worth it.
The place is beautiful but too crowded and noisyAnd the prices didn’t match the quality
We had breakfast here several times. Food is awesome, many choices for all kind of foodies . Ambiance is great, Not expensive, value for money.
First experience of Arabic cuisine, and there was a live musician that added to the ambiance. Loved the experience.
If u want an arabic food with an arabic atmosphere... It is absolutely one of the best places to have it and if u got lucky and had a table on the balcony... U will be happy with the view of the downtown... Food is great even if it was a buffet on friday morning
One of the best cafe in Amman .. you can enjoy down town view with a great shiha .All staff were friendly and very kind to children .
A friend told me to go to Jafra to try some local food. He told me this was one of his favorite restaurant so I had to come and visit. The food was awesome. I wanted to try everything. The atmosphere was very cool too. The menu is on both Arabic and English.
Ordered a veg pizza, some grilled chicken and veg dish with a smoothie, cheese fries and houmous. Poking my veg pizza I found salami under the cheese so it had to be sent back. Food was ok but both my husband and I weren’t feeling well so we couldn’t finish the food, asked for it to be boxed up. The food had the tourist prices and the total came to 25.94 dinar, which is much for a meal in Jordan and to top it off, they charged us for water which isn’t common in Jordan. For thé payment I told the waiter to round up to 26 dinar, he appeared not to understand what I said and kept trying to put 27 dinar and after quite a few attempts I begrudgingly said ok, he then went ok ok and put what I told him to and he then reminded me that there was no service fees in the total bill. I didn’t respond, paid and left. Personally didn’t like that 1. he asked for a tip (tips should be given freely by the customer, not asked for2. he didn’t do anything to deserve a tip, wasn’t welcoming, table was dirty (sticky with crumbs etc.and didn’t even clean it after we sat down ( used my hand sanitiser and tissue to clean it myself3. we didn’t finish the food because we weren’t feeling well 4. The place was overpriced so if you want a tip on top of it all you have to at least not mess up the food (I.e. the pizza)
Really it’s afirest time I eat here with my family it was amazing in every thing the food is delicious & the price is reasonable special thank for tahini in the reception for her excellent accommodations 💕
This cafe just throws you back 50 years and you feel like to sit in Amman in the 60s (Not that i know what that would be like...but it would be close i guess😄)The food was good, the waiters were attentitive and the view on the downtown happening is just fun.So enjoy it with a the taste of tea in your mouth, with old arabic in your ears and and relaxation for your mind.
The place was nice with lovely old decorations that we were looking for, the food was not that good the spinach was hard with no taste, the chicken fattah was noce, overallaverage or a bot below average
Very beautiful traditional Cafe and Hooka.
The place looks really nice but having non-smoking option inside rather than outside on the balcony will be a great addition.
The taste has become amazing..the menu is diverse with so many options as a cafe or a restaurant
Beautiful place along with the crew that meets and exceeds your expectations, from Their knowledge of the menu if you have any questions to following up after meal is served these guys are awesome. Food is amazing , arabic ice-cream is heaven after the meal. Try them you wont be disappointed
Place is cool and has a particular aestheticDidnt find their food to be particularly delicious, though.Tried their four seasons cocktail and their Cheesecake cocktail/milkshake. Both were rather average.Their hummus plate is TINY.Their dough was not bad in the manaeesh.
They will bring the main course before the appetizers and get extremely defensive if you objected about it. We waited for the appetizers and kept our pasta a side till it got cold and saggy, we turned it back and still charged us for it. Not so great shisha. In general there are many places around with better food, better service and better shisha.
Very good and suitable for friends and families but it is a little bit pricey however their salads and appetizers are so good, my favorite part in this Cafe is the terrace and the traditional vibes of Amman city, I will always visit Jafra 🙏🏻🤍🤍
Argeeleh is super tasty, location is lovely if you wanna get a bit of Ammans busy vibe. The staff is super friendly and the ambience and design is just so vintage and lovely. You will feel the soul there 💜
One of my favourite places in Amman. The theme and overall atmosphere just brings you back home. The food is so good too, and I love visiting early in the day as it is not too crowded, there is AC, and its too relaxing and beautiful. Highly recommended.PS. Kids below 18 or 21 are not allowed.
Very nice place and view. Great shisha and good service.
Yesterday I have visited this place and it was not my first time to be here, for me the food was on spot, the shisha was very good. The negative part for me that sometimes the waiters they take time to give you the bill or to return the remaining of your money. Also, the singer his voice is too loud for me, I need to scream to my friends so, they can hear me.
A wonderful place to come -service is friendly, professional and unobtrusive, and the food is fresh and delicious. Portions are very generous, and prices vary reasonable. The balcony is lovely to sit on and enjoy watching the goings on in the street. Very highly recommended.
Located in downtown Amman in a very busy area, it is the twin cafe for rakwat Arab cafe .The atmosphere is very nice, friendly staff. Valet parking service is available. They have a very nice terrace to enjoy food if the weather is suitable, some musical activities in the weekend along with a breakfast open buffet. Its a good place for family gatherings too
Loved this place, its warm, traditional, and has a nice traditional singer. Spending time there was amazing, many people were over the place. I just enjoyed it alot
Quiet place, spacious, not crowded, traditional view
Nice place to have some food and shisha, relaxing and authentic ambience
Cozy and friendly ambiance
The place is considered one of the oldest cafés in Downtown, however the renovation outside and some renovations inside ruined its history a little bit, it has a small balcony overlooking at downtown street. It offers soups, starters, salds, main courses l, desert, soft drinks, hot drinks and cocktails and the infamous SHISHA(HUBBLY BUBBLY).The food quality is good, the portions are fair but it is overpriced for a place in downtown and i believe it became more expensive as it is considered as tourists Café.Staff are friendly and welcoming..... Overall experience was good.Ive shared the menu for you as well.
Jafra is one of my favorite restaurants in downtown Amman, amazing service, great staff. The place it self has the decoration that reflects the arabic-syrian culture.Food was delicious drinks as well. highly recommended.
I just love Jordan and for sure Coffee because i am Cafecetero. Jafra Cafe is a very nice place i love the fact that they have antiques the design is interesting and the employee that was making the coffee kindly showed me how it was done. Thank you with love from Nica/Canadian
Nice old café in downtown. I loved the ambiance of the place. Shisha was really nice. Service is a bit slow. Also I recommend to improve quality of cappuccino.
Favorite place to have Breakfast in the old downtown since years!! everything is perfect about this place, and Im in love with all the antique decorations!
It is a nice place to meet friends and family ... old faction style place with a lot of famous people pictures as a lot of Antiques around the seating ... The menu is Rich with different choices and traditional foods and drinks from different cultures ... There is a painting section and artists if you would like to get a painting of yourself ... Also there is a musician who plays Oud (an arabic musical instrument... The only this that you wont like is the AC it was hot inside ... But if you set outside you will see the old city center of Amman.
The food id delicious. For a touristic place, I was surprised to have a very delicious food. We were able to sit in the terrasse. The setting was really appealing. The service was impacble. The prices are very reasonable. I would 100% recommend.
Best place for relaxation of an exhausting week beside having sound conversations with the ones I dearly love and care about. This place is the only one that can help me recall the Arab nationalism and the reason of my existence on this Universe: Palestine.
Beautiful restaurant and Cafe!!! Staff are very friendly... Food is really good!!! The balcony is a nice sitting area, if you prefer to see downtown! Highly recommended 😊
The place is an atmospheric restaurant with an extensive local menu featuring various appetizers, main courses (generally chicken, lamb and vegetarian options), desserts, drinks (including fresh juices), coffees, teas and various types of shisha.Sometimes there is live music, we were lucky enough to catch it two evenings in a row (Sunday and Monday). The place itself is quite large with many tables - it was no problem to be seated without any reservation.
Chic place..with a good vibe and sheesha / shisha.Food was decent. Its overall a bit costly specially when you compare it with the other cafes and restaurants in the vicinity of the same kind. The staff and service was decent.
Great Jordanian and Palestinian food. The ambiance was awesome especially with the "oud" (musical instrument). Recommended.
One of the nicest restaurants I visited in Amman! The overall looks and feel of the entire place was magical! As local as it gets! The food there was A++We called for the Chicken and lamb clay pots.. Amazing flavour! So was the mixed grill... these three are a must order. The Chocolate mousse however was not that nice. They even have Sheeshas. We tried the Jafra special (initial hit of peach with an after taste of Mango). The staff was also very polite and friendly. Please visit when in Amman.
Tucked away in the centre of Amman, nice and discreet. You walk into a very welcoming atmosphere with Arabic music and lots of pictures on the walls. Very unique looking interior. Lots of fresh options, reasonable prices and friendly staff!
Great place to visit and have coffee and dessert. Its a nice location in the city centre downtown, especially after a long day. Staff are lovely. They take Visa, and MasterCard I had my Monzo card and it worked fine.
Located in downtown Amman in a very busy area, it is the twin cafe for rakwat Arab cafe .The atmosphere is very nice, friendly staff.
