Best ribs I have ever had

Heaven on Earth , chili cheese Ripperl with honig -dill-senf best recomendation.

Fantastic veggie burger and tasty ribs!Well priced with a good selection of food. Everyone else in there also looked satisfied.They even had an English menu on hand when they spotted my terrible German.

We had lunch attracted by the good vives of the place. Its somehow hidden but we had a wonderul experience. The restaurant was very good looking, the hamburguers were delicious and the service was excellent. Its a shame we will be only here one day, but I recommend it for anyone who wants to have a good time

TDLR version: burger was overpowered by rucola, potatoes were delicious, service was great.Small BBQ ribs: 4.5 ⭐- tasty and the bone fell off easily- the sauce was a little too sweet for my taste- had better tho in terms of texture, flavour and aspect.Jack bbq sauce: 4 ⭐- word of caution - its very sweet. Delicious but sweetLocal Baked potatoes: 3 ⭐- a little hard almost feeling undercooked.- very good taste even if the texture was strangeRibs burger: 2 ⭐- Bun was soggy and not grilled- pulled ribs meat was bland and chewy- proportions were messed up. The burger was swimming in rucola and carrots and other random veggies.- sauce wouldve probably been better if the bun was grilledFries: 5 ⭐- excellent. Nothing to comment, best dish we ordered.Gravy: 5 ⭐- delicious, especially good when paired with fries.Service: 5 ⭐- only comment is that we got a not so nice table next to the green fence and insects were sometimes bothering. Otherwise, service was spotless!

Its okay for Linz

The food and service were excellent. I had the brisket burger and it was delicious and well balanced.I will clarify about the atmosphere; we were sitting outside and it was a nice private courtyard with a canopy and trees. Away from the street.

Delicious but too little meat on the ribs and way too many bones. Nearly felt like I paid for the bones and got some extra meat.

They are really specialist for ribs!You can chose the size and a taste you prefer. It is a really nice place, also the garden really appreciate in summer. Good service and prices.

The ribs have 2 types basically there are small and big ribs. Quite pricy for a portion of ribs however the taste are good, delicious. The meat is also soft and it combines with various sauce that you could choose. Overall is good.

Friendly and careful team full of passion for the world of grill. Were open and flexible to share their room capacities for a regular quiz game at a very comfortable rate. Highly recommended for those in love with ribs, less so for vegetarians and if youre on a tight budget.

We ordered 3 large Hot spare Ribs of 700grm: 17.50euros each Unfortunately meat is not fresh ( I suppose Ribs meat from the old stock and not tender. It was really not worth for the money. highly disappointed

The environment is very comfy and great for groups. Their price is affordable and the food is original.The attendants were very kind and most of them speaks English. They also have a menu in English, which is very helpful for tourists.

One of the best rib meat I have had in Europe and definitely the best in Linz. The drink selection was awesome as well. I tried the elderberry drink with Russian schnapps, which was vet refreshing and strong.Ribs are also available in burgers and quesadillas and I absolutely loved mine.Service was friendly and prompt. Will for sure visit again when I am in town and I highly recommended to check them out if you are in town.

First time at the Jack the Ripperl. Came here upon friends recommendation. Very nice place, cozy and with its own atmosphere, tasty dishes, quick service, and very friendly staff.

Great ribs with lots of choice regarding seasoning, sauces and side dishes. Unfortunately, the restaurant does have some fast food flair, which is a pity. There would be so much more that would be possible (e.g. see De Gekroonde Hoofden in Gent, Belgium). Pricing is a little higher, but still OK. Service was nice, location is great.

Highly enjoyable, ribs are fairly decent (could be a bit spicer - bring on the Carolina Reaper!). Nice garden out the back and great for a casual dinner on a school night

I am in general a big BBQ lover and one of my favourite dishes are ribs. They rank up very high on my list of tasty grill delicacies. Let me just say that I was totally blown away by my chilli cheese ribs at Jack. Beautiful balance between spices and flavor, all around great taste. Also the blueberry kumquat dessert was amazing. Loved the cozy atmosphere, good service and friendly staff. I can hardly wait to try something else the next time Im in Linz. Highly recommended!

Lovely ribs, good service!!

It was very nice. The waiters were very professional. The ripperl schmaltz was incredible, I could eat it as a spread every morning and would be happy.

Quite okay prices, nice staff. Burgers rather small and tasted below average as they werent seasoned quite well. Potatoes were half undone and half soaked in oil. As a dip I had mango-onion chutney which I already had much better this kind of chutney. Good place for people who wanna grab a quick bite and dont want to go to McDon two blocks away from here.

Friendly staff and friendly owner.I went there with 2 friends and we ordered3 Bauchripperl: 300g BBQ ribs + garlic baguette + cheedar dip500g chilli cheese ribs + spicy wedges + cheedar dip500g hot ripperl + spicy wedges + cheedar dipWe tried the three kind of ribs and it was super delicious.I totally recommend.

Friendly staff and quick service. Great local brews, and very good ribs. It is not a Texas BBQ place, nor is it trying to be. Tender meat and good sides nonetheless!

The theme of "Jack the Ripperl" continues straight through the restaurant but has nothing in common with The Ripper... Very fast and friendly staff, the food is nice as well. One star less for the fast-food flair of the interior.

Amazingly tender ribs mmmm, I got takeaway and it was ready in like 5 minutes. The ribs just fell off the bone, and the BBQ sauce was delicious. The chips were crunchy too, even after getting home. The person who served me was very helpful too as I cant speak German. Its worth coming to linz just for this! 😬

BBQ aficionado here.Were these the best ribs I had outside Texas? YesWere these among top 5 ribs I ever had? YesWas staff great all over ,helped me from embarrassing myself with my rusty German, and got food on the table in under 5 minutes? Yes, yes, and Yes!Did it hurt my wallet? It made a dent but was worth every euro.Will be back for sure the next time Im in Linz.

Absolutely MUST FOR VISIT is one loves ribs! Service is super fast and friendly! They always find you the place to sit even if they are super crowded! Yummy dips and side dishes. And even though it is a place famous for ribs, the burger is very good too.

Tasty pulled pork sandwich and very fast service...especially for a Saturday night. Skip the fries as a side...too soggy.

I came to this place by surprise and what really surprised me is that the atmosphere is very cozy, interior is clean and neat and the food, mainly ribs, is excellent. I will stop by next time.

A clear case of the marketing person being clearly better at the job than the chef. We were very disappointed by the disingenuous food seasoning and lack of flavour. While the produce were all of good quality, their preparation was lacking any skill. My harissa marinade was burnt and apart from being hot utterly bland. The tomato-cranberry dip turned out to be just concentrated tomato puree from the tin. By all appearances nothing else had been added. The kids had their ribs fried in a bread-like chewy batter that smothered all flavours with ridiculous amounts of blank cumin. Not acceptable to a childs palate.

This is the place I visit everytime Im in Linz. Definitely recommend.

Ribs were very tender - they know what they are doing! Classig Rub is a little bit boring, BBQ is just excellent. The service is okay, nothing special - the restaurant is quite modern - we liked it :)

Amazing new restaurant in Linz! The food is extremely good, the location is modern and comfortable and service is great! I will surely go there more often!
