Bit expensive but very good and friendly staff. Home made ice tea was very good.

Meih. I can only assume the pattys are not homemade and the overall flavour of the burger was mediocre at best. If you do decide to come here, prepare to wait long. Or get drunk while waiting, I recommend getting drunk. The burger will probably taste better, unfortunately I was sober.

nothing to get overly excited about, the burgers are okay but not tasty enough to match the price thats charged. the interior is done tastefully, and the beer selection is decent.

Burgers were very good, great quality meat but a bit dry in terms of sauce. Beer battered onion rings were tasty! Downside: desserts were disappointing and overpriced for how much you get.. service was nice and friendly 👍🏻

Clean, nice atmosphere, very kind staff. If youre ginger you can even get a free beer if you ask for it. Good food and beverages. Definitely would go again.

Very disappointing.Everything is prepared in advance and re-heated. As a result, the salad is not fresh and the burger is dry and overcooked. You need a LOT of mayonnaise to make it go down.Taste is OK, but not the juicy fresh burger I was hoping for.

Fast and friendly service, great burgers and beer. The Rostekop beer their housebeer is good. Im a fan of the onion rings.

Good place to go if youre vegan and dining with non-vegan friends. The vegan burgers were rather dry (mostly due to the dry bun, I guess it works better with meat), but the burgers themselves and the toppings were okay. Vegan sharing plate was great. Prices are high, but service is very friendly.

Very good burgers, with a large variety of choices for veggies and non veggies. Also, the kids menu is really nice and inexpensive.

I am not sure what I feel about this place. I had chicken sandwich and my husband got a burger with fries on the side. Both of them was super dry. Fries were not the best ones. Soft and greasy. I liked the way they serve the sandwich tho (see the pic). The cole slaw was quite delicious. Our server was very nice. But at the end would I ever go there again? Not sure. One burger, one chicken sandwich, two beers cost around 45 €. I think I can find better food in Gent for that price.

For the price you pay, the burgers are quite average compared to other burger joints in the city. It does have a cosy setting though.

This is a really great restaurant. Came recommended by friends and will do the same. Had an absolutely great burger and fries, my girlfriend really enjoyed her veggie burger and we had a pleasant evening. Make sure to get reservations, its a busy place!

Impressively wide range of burgers, but not too many veg, pork or chicken burgers for those who dont eat red meat and/or meat at all. My friend said her burger was too dry while mine was a bit crumbly. However, I will give it the benefit of the doubt and try again another time.

Long waiting time, burgers were just mediocre they did not provide any extra value. Meat was also little dry.

You can eat better burgers for half of the price somwhere else in Ghent. The meat and the tartar was the only thing you could taste on the burger. And for the setting I do not like having a stuffed deer head looking at me.

Too expensive for what you get. The meat that I got tasted like rubber, probably some cheap frozen burger... The fries were good, but we had to pay extra for that and we only knew that when we got the receipt.

Long waiting time before getting served. Ordered a drink before dinner and complementary drinks with the burger, but at the time the before dinner drinks arrived the burger was already there. So we canceled the matching drinks for the burgers. For the burger itself: the meat was dry and it was a small piece compared to the complete burger. There was no time to have a desert because you only have a 30 minutes window to eat. We were sitting close to the kitchen, the door was open and the music was very loud in the kitchen, that music even went over the music in the restaurant itself.General conclusion: way overpriced for the received service and quality of food: payed €45 for 2 burgers and 2 drinks.

The service was rather slow so I read the story in the menu and it sounded good. Then still had to wait a bit longer.The burgers lacked flavour and werent that big for the price.On top of that the fries were extra.So for a burger, fries and a beer it was expensive.I dont recommend it.Theres better places around Gent for a burger.

Really bad expensive. They offer you chips like free but its just a trick. Super greasy low quality food.

I would be rather writting a good review after an enjoyable meal and experience but I can´t. The air conditioning was not working, which is still excusable as technical difficulties occur from time to time, but the service was just awful. We waited for 2 hours for our burgers in a half empty resturant and then we have decided to leave. I will do my best to avoid this place if I ever visit Ghent again.

We waited more than 2 hours for our burgers. Then we left. About 5 tables that came after us got their food before us. Also theres no air Conditioning, we had about over 40C° inside. The burgers of the more privileged guests looked questionable.

It is a nice setting and service is friendly. However I left paying double what I expected for a buger and fries with a beer 28 euro, and unsatisfied with the burger quality (mainly the meat). The coleslaw did not seem fresh.

Too expensive for this quality. Both the burger and the meat was small for this price and dry. For 3 EUR less you can have much better burger in Gent.

The burgers were good, but the service was really slow. It took us one hour and 20 minutes to get our food and the fries were cold. Nobody offered us an apology for the delay, so I am assuming that is "normal". Uncles Babe has less vegetarian options but it is still my favourite burger place in Ghent.

Friendly, charming and motivated personel. They know their menu and are willing to help. This was my first time at Jilles but I hope to have the opportunity to come more.Awesome beer-menu and some quality burgers.I ate the Ill Commodore burger and drank a Pampero Especial (without iceand a Rostekop, their house brewed Amber beer. Which I recommend, although not being the best beer Ive had it most certainly is one of the better house-brewed beers Ive had.The only remark I have is the price of the Burgers, which isnt cheap but very much understandable for the service and qualify you get. The second is that not all beers were in stock, especially the VanDerGhinste Oud Bruin, a beer I would have loved to try.We were served by Steven and Merel, which both did an awesome job!Keep it up!

On my personal point of view the Burger was to dense, overcooked and overpriced (16€ without the fries).. even with the little included coleslaw.The place is clean and welcoming. Service was ok

Nice waiter, food was acceptable but way overpriced.Other establishments ( Wunderbaroffer better for less.The main thing Jilles Beer & Burgers has to offer is its proximity to Kinepolis.

Cozy place with excellent burgers, fries and beers. We really enjoyed our Hot Gillians that were deliciously spiced. Two-ingredient salad was boring and redundant. Great collection of available beers.

Nice environment and good burgers but overpriced for that food quality and service. Especially on saturdays, it is overly crowded and waiting times around 45 minutes is hard to avoid.

The burgers are good, also a nice veggie selection. I like the pairing suggestions with their beerselection. But they are way overpriced in my opinion. I dont mind paying for good food, but 15 + euros for a (veggie)burger with some salad is just too much. Add to that the costs of the sides and beers and you are paying restaurant prices for a (decentburger in a crowded place.

Food is very good. If youre into burgers, make sure to check this place out, even though its not the cheapest. Reservations recommended.
