Good other than the salad bar was very low on items I would have liked and the fries were limp and very soggy.

Nice selection of items on the menu. Plenty of parking and easy to find. The staff is very nice and helpful. The restrooms are very clean. The service was fast and our meals were served quickly.

The young ladies working this past Friday and Saturday evening were extremely quick and friendly. They had my garlic bread waiting for me when I got to my table after getting the salad bar.

Food wasnt great, but it was good enough and the people were super friendly.

My son said his chicken fried steak breakfast was really good. Everyone else got the breakfast buffet and it was awful. French toast was hard to chew. The sausage was burnt. Everything was pretty inedible.

Went to vernal for an anniversary trip, found this place with decent reviews and decided to give it a try.I got an Angus Burger on sourdough and all I can say is it was disappointing. For starters the grade of the meat was simply terrible. It had an odd texture and was super fatty. There was also no form of seasoning or flavor to the meat so it was super bland. Adding to that the sourdough it came on tasted like regular toasted white bread (not a hint of sour to be mentioned).The only remotely redeeming quality was the short wait time and the kind waitress.Bottom line, I cant recommend

So service was decent but our chicken tenders and taco salad tasted like fish. Heres a tip JBs dont fry food in the same oil you fried fish in.

This was the best restaurant we visited during our entire trip to Vernal! Service was excellent! Food was amazing! We felt welcomed right away and felt we were important during our entire visit, which is very important to us since we come from working in the service industry before. We had an issue with cheese sticks being served a little cold, once addressed it was handled right away without any issues. We were very happy to have stopped here and happy that we had a MUCH BETTER experience here than the Vernal Brewing Co. We will probably never go to the other restuarant again and would much rather visit here again! We will be telling more people about this restaurant! 5 stars without a doubt!

I havent been to a JBs in years and mostly went for the nostalgic favor. The interior needs some TLC. It definitely shows its age. But the employees were super sweet, service was prompt and the food was just like I remembered.

Loved the experience here. It was quaint and quiet, not super busy. The staff was very kind, and the idea of the breakfast buffet was great for kids!

We were in the area over a 3 day weekend, visiting both sides of the Dino National Park. We havent seen a JBS restaurant in forever and when we drove passed this one we had to stop.They were quick to seat us. Our server was on it with asking for our drink orders and giving us time to decide what we wanted for dinner.The wife wanted the chicken fried chicken dinner, but they were out of the chicken fried chicken. So she had the green chili omelet. She said it was good and hit the spot.I had the Salmon with rice pilaf and a salad. Bake potatoes are available after 4pm. The Salmon was well prepared, I enjoyed the meal.The misses also had a slice of their apple pie that she said was tasty.Good service and everything was well prepared and we had a nice meal before making the drive west, to home. Wed definitely recommend this restaurant for your next adventure. Enjoy

The food was really good, the service was fantastic. Overall a great experience. We ordered the open face beef pot roast sandwich that comes with mashed potatoes, and we also ordered an appetizer of fried mushrooms (which can really go either way). These guys do awesome fried mushrooms! I will definitely be coming back.

Waitstaff was amazing, unfortunately, only 3 waitresses showed up on a Memorial Weekend/Graduation weekend Sunday! Every restaurant in town was packed. They did their best and we appreciated them. The buffet was delish and nicely serviced.

It seems like we got a cook on their first day, I don’t know otherwise how this place has a 4.1 on Google. We really wanted to like this place, we love eating breakfast at these kind of places, but almost the entirety of our meal was undercooked. The bacon looked like it barely just came out of the package, like it was heated on the grill for a minute, it didn’t seem like it was ready to be consumed quite yet. I had over easy eggs, but they were not quite over easy, there was still clear, mucus like egg, which should have been cooked more. We did ask for the bacon and eggs to be cooked more and they did so, but the second set of eggs were only slightly better, they were still very runny. The coffee was watered down and weak and my husbands pancakes were doughy and undercooked.As for pros, their sourdough toast was really good and the staff and our waitress were all very nice and pleasant. Just a big disappointment on food sadly.

I hadnt eaten at a jbs in 10 years. It was good then and is better know. I had the pot roast. It was the best ever, other than my moms. Yummy 👍. Great staff.

The food was cold and over cooked, and the waitress was very rude when it was pointed out to her. It was rundown, dirty, and when we asked to talk to a manager, apparently there was not one. It was a disappointing experience.

Went for weekend brunch. Food took 25-30 minutes from the time we ordered. Both meals were wrong when received. Food was good but nothing special. I wouldnt recommend and wouldnt return.

Had a nice lunch at this small town restaurant. We had a taco salad & chicken salad sandwich. Both exceeded our expectations. Our server was both very attentive and friendly. Service was super fast. I would stop here again.

I am dyslexic and thought this place was called BJS. I was very excited for obvious reasons. My original plan was not to come in and get pancakes, but thats what ended up happening, for obvious reasons. it was very tasty the food was amazing. it helped cure my disappointment for obvious reasons, i was disappointed for obvious reasons if you obviously couldnt tells. i dont think i can make this much more clear or obvious.

Wonderful place full of home style fresh food and lots of options. Includes a salad and soup bar. Our waitress Anna was the sweetest and most helpful to our entire family. Highly recommend. Clean place and nice restrooms.

They are usually really good. However, when its busy they get docked a star. We always get in right away. And they always have good food. Only have had one problem. On the January 1st we got on right away, but were forgotten. We were sat kitty corner from the people that arrived when we did. They were on their second round of coffee and had ordered before anyone asked what we wanted to drink. I watched the waitress work all the tables, filling coffee and checking on everyone but us. It took an hour to get our food. I received the wrong food, but hey it was still good.

Last time I went here was a few years ago. My experience was not that great. We tried again and the taco salad I ordered was delicious. Our waitress was patient and kind. I am not sure what her name was. ❤️

Enjoyed the Salad bar options. More than enough to get me buy for a lunch. Basic, but good salad options, good soups, and decent taco station. Would definitely lunch like this again!

Great place to eat traditional American food. My husband had meatloaf and mashed potatoes w/ brown gravy. I had an open faced hot turkey sandwich w/gravy.

Such a great place to dine in. Salad bar is ok always clean and well kept. Pie and just that home feeling you like to feel when dinning out. My whole family loves it.

It is a old none update restaurant in the middle of no where. But and it is a big BUT the food was incredible. We got a Meat Lover Omelette with Country Potatoes and Double Cheeseburger. I was not expecting much because of the reason that hes in the middle of nowhere. But everything was cooked at the moment it was fresh (and when I mean fresh it doesnt mean that it was not frozen meatat the flavor was really extremely good. On top of that you get the friendly amazing country customer service. Sorry if you definitely get offended by phrases like sweetie, honey babe this is not the restaurant for you because the ladies that help you serve your food they are really really kind people.

Small town Utah on a Sunday afternoon. Trying to find a restaurant open is like finding a pin in a haystack. JBs was open, food was good, they had a brunch buffet which was open. I had the turkey dinner. It was delicious 😋. There was so much food I couldnt eat it all. Our waitress was very pleasant with good humor 😄.

Clean & not over crowded. There was not a long wait although a sign stated thety were understaffed. Atmosphere was congenial. Good basic American food. Great waitress.

Had the Sunday brunch buffet. Wife had French toast w/ sausage & eggs. Overall good food, friendly staff. A large table put their order in just before ours so getting the wife’s brunch took a bit of time.

Wife and I stopped in for BFL (breakfast for lunchand a restroom break. I ordered the Denver Scramble. It was excellent but I couldnt eat it all. I saved half for lunch at home the next day. PS, wife gave A+ rating to the Ladies Room.

The food here was good and our waitress was super nice. They seemed short staffed and our food took longer then we would have liked but our waitress was very good about keeping us informed and taking care of us during our visit. We left full and happy.

Were just driving through and stopped by for brunch. I feel bad because the server provided excellent service but she was by herself and had a ton of work to deal with all alone. It took a bit longer then normal to get our food but I could completely understand the situation. I am thankful that shes very professional and handled the situation very well and if we ever get a chance to return we definitely will. The food was hot and good, the service was excellent.

Food isnt too bad for the price. My steak was a little dry, but nothing A1 couldnt fix. They did great at keeping my coffee filled. Would probably go back.

Excellent food and service! I had the salad bar. They have soups, salad, tacos, nachos, and fruit on their salad bar. My son had a steak, my husband had a sour dough burger, and my daughter had chicken strips. Everyone got exactly what they wanted!

I had the soup and salad bar which had a good variety of FRESH veggies. The corn chowder was surprisingly flavorful. This included a taco section, all for a reasonable price. My boyfriend got the sourdough burger which he thoroughly enjoyed. The restaurant was clean and our waitress was friendly and prompt.

I moved away from vernal several years ago. I loved eating here in high school, so while we’re visiting we decided to try it. The service was slow, but it’s a Sunday morning around brunch time so I’m not upset about that. The low rating is for the food. The French toast tasted stale. The coffee tasted burnt. And my over easy eggs were definitely overdone. Our server was friendly and the food was cheap, but definitely not super high quality. It was a bit disappointing. The potatoes were super delicious though.

We went here because I loved JBs as a kid. I got the chicken parmesan with the salad bar. Basically a chicken tender and spaghetti covered with marinara sauce. The pasta was complete mush -- way overdone. The restaurant is in pretty sorry shape, unfortunately, and looks like it needed some maintenance years ago. Broken windows held together by duct tape, the booths are falling apart, beaten up plastic plants everywhere... Really could use some loving care. Our service was not great. Overall, I would not recommend this spot, there are many better places to eat in Vernal.

2nd Annual Visit 19$ for a 10oz Ribeye add the salad bar for 4$ more and finished it all off with a chocolate shake. If you drive through Vernal wait to eat till you hit town. Comfort food galore. Itll make you think of the times your grandpa would put on his brown polyester pants and button up shirt and head to town with grandma.

The food was delicious!! And the waitress was super sweet!
