JAYA'S HOTEL & RESTAURANT - Bengali restaurant in Silchar, India
The ambiance, music, and food was amazing. I loved the lighting and decor. This place is perfect for date night. The drinks were really good too. I got butter chicken with broccoli which was really good. They had performs there the lady of fire and madame on the ring. I have photos to explain....
This place has a really nice vibe. Our server was friendly but slow. There were various acts throughout dinner service— with acrobatics, fire, dancing, etc. The highlight for me was the Truffle Dumplings. I live for truffles and these dumplings did not disappoint. I got the fried rice with shrimp for my entree as well as the Tom Kha Gai (coconut soupThe rice was very bland. It needed soy sauce, ginger, something. The soup was great. The Chili Passion Martini was excellent, spicy but different. Overall, I would recommend this place.
I was really looking forward for my bday dinner reservation and I was highly disappointed. It is an overrated spot. The food quality was poor. I had the the mushrooms, sushi, and the dumplings. And a raspberry dessert. The place has a nice ambiance, decor, and good service. They had fire dancers going around the tables which was fun. I would recommend this place only for a drink. It is a nice place, but the food wasn’t great.
Cool experience!Honestly, I think some of the food was great while the rest was just kind of OK I would come here again and this time I would know exactly what I want. The service was amazing and although the front staff was not really hopeful or friendly, I think our server made our day. The dumplings or a really good and same thing with the chai martini. We couldn’t stop drinking up and the chicken was really tasty as well. The gold martini was OK. I don’t think I do it again. Was it worth the $700? Mehhhh next time I would just know what to get & what to avoid.
What an evening. From the start, The Setai staff are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Knowing we were there for the Night Bazaar, we were thrilled to have a great view of the entertainment. Audie was our waitress who was so thoughtful, experienced, and made our evening such a joy. We ordered the Saigon Gimlet, overlaid with a basil leaf and Fresno Chile which gave the drink some nice spice. For dinner, we ordered the EB1 tiger shrimp nigiri and gyoza. The shrimp was fantastic quality. And the gyoza…just wow. There is really something to be said about the flavor and delicacy of wagyu which made these gyoza one of a kind. For dinner, two of us split the Thali platter, an Indian smorgasbord of all their main dishes. This was recommended, naturally, since the head chef Vijayudu Veena has an authentic lens worth experiencing. We ended the evening with the three mochis (mango, green tea, and strawberry), making it extra special to celebrate the birthday at our table. To see the night entertainment on Thursday’s through Saturday, ensure to sit outside and get a reservation around 7:30pm since the entertainment starts around 8pm.Can’t wait to come back!
Came here to celebrate my girlfriends birthday. Beautiful place and clean. We ordered off the spice menu. Apps good. Beyond that nothing else was even edible. My girls drink lemon drop had a funny taste. We order the same drinks but they didn’t taste the same. Our entrees arrived as soon as the hit the table, they had an awful feel. Rotten seafood, still we decided maybe it will taste better. No as soon as tasted it we know we were wrong. My chicken dish had a taste of fish. I couldn’t bring my self to eat it in total we had 1 bite of each plate. Decided we just wanted to go. The server could care less. He walk up asked are you done we said yes he cleared the table never even asking why we didn’t eat any of it. We were so upset we didn’t even notice we didn’t get our dessert we preordered and paid for. He don’t even ask if we would it boxed up. Now we return to our hotel room for a nap when my girl becomes ill. Sick for 24hrs with everything from fever, to vomiting etc. For $150 I will never return to eat here nor do I recommend it to anyone. Terrible way to spend a birthday!
The chive dim sum and sirloin steak was perfection!! The fried rice was lackluster for me. Oh and the chili passion martini is to die for. Just come here for those things and ambience of fire dancers and contortionist’s and aerial dancers. No military discount
Sitting in the courtyard is a must.... so beautiful and they have fans to keep you cool as well as most of the area is covered. I would recommend the veggie spring roll with the sweet chili sauce and the salmon for the entree.
Jaya is absolutely beautiful - indoor and outdoor. Romantic spot with great vibes. It’s been on my list to try for the longest!! The Truffle dumplings are so delicious and mouth-watering. The cocktails are also tasty! We loved the chicken curry, Branzino and coconut sticky rice!! Love this spot so much!
Amazing place. Best service I ever have in Miami Beach (I work in the industry).delicate kitchen, my sazerac (with sub cognac in place of the ryewas delicious. the staff is on top of you. I been for diner and lunch. its a place to go !
The show and DJ was entertaining. Also enjoyed my drink but the food was trash. Worst sushi and fried rice I ever had. Hostess pick and choose who they want to sit in the courtyard, mainly melanated people were asked to sit inside where you can’t see the show. Servers/waiter were friendly and helpful.
Excellent , beautiful and polished. The drinks , food and entertainment ..Definitely coming back. I was over charged by accident but , the waiter fixed it quickly. Love the place..feels almost magical.
Amazing restaurant. The ambiance is great. I loved the colors, music and food. The staff was awesome and helpful. I had my birthday dinner here and I had a great experience.
Top notch experience, top notch service Milo the chef is the best in Miami hands down! The performances were amazing as well! Food tasted perfect and very well made with the highest quality. But for me the service and experience is huge and Milo nailed it. Bravo!
Party of 4 for dinnerThis place is great!! They serve an asian fusion menu, with dishes from both China and India. I made a reservation about a week ahead of time via Open Table and requested outside seating. The restaurant is actually in a hotel so we utilized the hotel valet parking. You can get a portion of the parking validated when you eat at the restaurant. We walked from the parking roundabout through a narrow courtyard that led to the restaurant. We were seated immediately in the open air dining area, with pools of water everywhere. When we arrived it was not that crowded, but as the evening progressed it started to fill up. The restaurant has top notch service. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. We reviewed the menu and I ordered the Chicken Tikka and a Garlic Naan that everyone could taste and share . Wifey ordered Shrimp fried rice and my daughters ordered the Peking Duck dinner and the Salmon with Penang Curry respectively. The food came out unbelievably fast and it tasted even better than expected. Everything was delicious and the portions were big enough for us to share a little piece with another family member who wanted a little taste. We ordered a very fancy Rice Pudding dish for dessert, that came with a scoop of sorbet on top. It was perfect to top off our meal. This place is a winner for the exceptional service, delicious food and overall ambiance.
We had an excellent dinner at Jaya. The setting and the interior is exquisite with the indoor pond, the open space and the many plants. The food is Asian based and Thai inspired with classics like pad Thai and chicken panang. But they also serve more fusion inspired dishes like tuna tacos and truffle dumplings. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing. The dishes comes quickly and the plates are cleared from the table as soon as you finish. We had an excellent experience and expect to come back and try the dinner serving. There is easy access for people with disabilities. You can also choose to sit inside and though this might be even more air conditioned I would recommend the patio anytime.
Jaya at Setai. i had the sea bass with basmati rice (excellentand grilled octopus (very good and beautifully presented). the live entertainment was fun, and...well, lively. Pricey as you would expect; great for a special evening out. service was very good but restaurant management was "unapproachable".
Good things first : the ambience was great. It had a luxurious yet fun vibe. There was a live performance as well which was amazing. I ordered vegetable rolls, chives dumpling, and thaali. Everything was great. However o feel that the thaali was average in its taste. It had chicken makhni, yellow lentils, mushroom curry, chutney, samosa, cauliflower veg, mix veg curd, rice and naan. My husband had chicken makhni and he was not happy with it. It was not well cooked. That’s how he likes it. The yellow lentils were pretty basic. Overall, the thaali could be improved for its price. Test was great.
Very beautiful restaurant. I stopped by solo for lunch right before I hit the beach thats outside this restaurant and was blown away with the ambiance. I enjoyed some pasta & a few glasses of wine. If I had stayed longer in Miami I wouldve visited the restaurant for dinner as I hear they put on quite a show at dinner.
Beautiful place to celebrate. Indoor/outdoor experience. Great music on Saturday nights, plus an exotic show.
I came here Saturday night , customer service was okay could of been better. I got the California roll, Salmon roll, Framboise Vacherin , and Gianduja Tartlet. The food was great especially the desert, and the place is very nice. Saw a show of dancing and fire show. I would definitely recommend coming here 8/10.
Food was great! Don’t expect cheap prices in Miami Beach and Inside of a resort! Drinks were amazing. Our serve was fabulous but we could barely hear her because she spoke too low. The ambiance was immaculate BUT they claim to have a built-in retractable roof which was NOT open And it was absolutely HOT! They have fans around but with Florida heat I was so uncomfortable! It wasn’t even raining 😐
Really interesting experience. Overall ambiance is amazing. A performer was dancing in between every few tables, but didn’t stay long enough in my opinion (only 5 minutes). There was a small price difference between the menu and receipt but the server we had (Aliwas super nice and helpful. Food was normal: I had the fried rice with shrimp (26$and it was okay. It’s not a restaurant you would frequently go to but definitely recommend going once for the experience. 20% tip is added automatically.
The ambiance was great, our server was amazing, food tasted good but the biggest flaw was that all of the food was cold. Definitely had higher expectations.Food - 6/10Service - 9/10Ambiance- 9/10
Aesthetically, the restaurant is a great experience. To be sitting by the water and to watch the performers is really cool and exciting!!Nothing special about the service or the food. I had the Thali and it was painfully average apart from the fried fish which was succulent!
Very nice ambience, beautiful interior and lovely seating arrangements greeted us . Much to our liking there were lot of vegetarian food options from the Asian/eastern origins. Decent selection of cocktails and wines surprised us. Vegetarian Pad Thai, Fried rice without egg and Indian Thali platter with vegetarian dishes tasted really nice! Desert selections were limited and we were disappointed that they did not offer ice cream or espresso as desert options in their menu. Hospitality and Service were excellent and food was delivered within 10 mins from the time of ordering. They did honor my request to bring a birthday cake/setup at the end which I liked most! Expensive yet satisfying dinner at Jaya! 👍👏👏
Delicious food, amazing drinks and great atmosphere!Music is not loud at all and dj is playing very nice mixes.Definitely will be coming back when in Miami next time.Enjoyed the vibe a lot
My family and I visited Jaya at the Setai during the summer of 2016 and we had such a phenomenal time. After my dad passed away, my mom and I decided to book another dinner reservation to reminisce and experience another lovely evening. The food and service was amazing (I can’t say enough about the Indian Thali!, but the loud music really took away from the rest. I saw elderly couples struggling to hear each other, and my mom and I left with headaches.I know Miami restaurants love hosting dinner parties, but there was a different and new energy in Jaya that my mom and I didn’t enjoy. Please consider bringing back your serene and classy ambience and just lower your music on Tuesday nights
Great experience! Seating policy is somewhat strict. Everyone in your party has to be available at the same time, or you may lose your reservation. Service was fast, and food was great quality. Great entertainment with solo dancers and D.J. later on to the night! Great vibes, but music may be too loud if you like to carry a dinner conversation. My favorite entree, the Tahli Sampler!
Always love this place but this is the first time I review this place. I owe them a 5 star review. Food is delicious and service is good. Ambience is very very zen yet modern. This is one of my go tos in Miami if you want to try authentic Asian food with great ambiance. Enjoy.
Jaya is on our list whenever we’re in Miami. The food is really good and our service this time in particular was wonderful. The various performances throughout our dining experience were also very enjoyable. Great acts! The space is beautiful. I can see why so many people come here to be seen.Setting aside the crowd who were there for their social media exposure, Jaya offers a great dining experience. We will certainly be back.
We attended brunch at the Setai. Such a memorable experience! Very much worth the $95 per person. We will be back without a doubt! Our server, Lars, could not have been better. He was so attentive and friendly. Lars is the defintion of excellent service. When visiting the Setai, ask for Lars! The brunch was excellent. Full raw bar, american breakfast options plus a small sushi bar, Indian and Asian options as well
The best part about this restaurant is the music and ambiance. Unfortunately, the service is below average and the food is also subpar. Good news is if they improve the food and service, this place could easily be the #1 restaurant attraction in Miami.
Offset by the hypochondriacal situation around the world, enduring shortages with supplies and employees, Jaya remains steadfast with being willing to provide the very best experience for any guest. From an ever evolving menu, performances, and employees that do anything possible to please any guest, the attitude here is welcoming and warm, with an eagerness to wow. These characteristics are implemented by a back house that has remained dedicated to a product that leaves a plate empty, and a stomach happy and smiling.
A very cool dining experience with performers and nice ambience in their outdoor space. Great hospitality from all the staff, and the food and drinks were great as well. The truffle dumplings were incredible, special shout out to that truffle foam. I wanted to eat every last drop. The chicken makhani was also flavorful but lacked a little salt. The drinks were excellent, really interesting flavors and depth to them. Would totally recommend a visit.
A hip, trendy and eclectic restaurant located in the Art Deco District on Miami Beach. The cuisine is Asian fusion, with dishes from Southeast Asia, East Asia, and Indian cuisines. I ordered the Truffle Pizza and Brussel Sprouts. The pizza was supposed to be only available during lunch, but they gave me the wrong menu. The waiter kindly allow me to still order it. My friend ordered the Chicken Makhani, but I think it was too bland. The servers were attentive and courteous, and the performance was cool to watch. Note that 20% service charge is added to the bill automatically.
Words cannot describe this experience. Was seated 30 minutes after our scheduled reservation, only because some kind strangers (who’d waited an hourinvited us to their table. Then the host had the audacity to ask us to leave in an hour and 15 minutes for the next reservation when on Opentable they guarantee a 2 hour time for your table. The food was mediocre at best, drinks were fine and only ordered them because I was so stressed out from the whole experience. The performance was ok but have seen better. It is tourist trap that caters to a specific type of audience who’s looking for a cool Instagram story, if that’s not your vibe skip, if that is, live your life.
The tikka is amazing, my favorite dish amongst the whole menu is the sea bass tikka. Perfectly charred on the bed of a coal with mouth watering aroma. Cocktails wise the chili passion is pretty good! We actually didn’t have reservations but the host was kind enough to give us a table at last minute on a Sunday evening, when the whole courtyard is packed! We also enjoyed the live entertainment
Fashionable restaurant with a lot of movement with an artistic dance and fire show we used the valet parking because otherwise there is no place to leave the car we had reserved two months with two weeks in advance but a character attended us with a rude kick that He hadnt put it outside and that if we wanted to, he was inside in a corner, as punished I smiled at him and told him I take it at last its my night ... typical salaried loser who wont go far…. Returning to the topic, excellent service, the food was good, a fusion of Asia, India and Peru. The service is excellent and the wine is the best with a good selection menu and good service and suggestion…. Thanks to the waitress who attended us I will see the show again and have good wine and have a great time
Had a wonderful time dining at the Setai. We were visiting from NYC. Our server was Ali. He was great. Food and wines were just delicious. They also had a performer. Overall great experience, it’s on the pricey side but definitely worth it.
Great Restaurant for a one time celebration, menu includes a variety of popular dishes including indian, asian and fusion food. Drink selection is extensive but on the expensive side. We ordered several indian dishes, the lamb chops, sushi and the Macallan capuccino dessert, highly recommend this dessert for people that love spirit flavored sweets. Overall the food was outstanding and the service was quick and amicable. The only issue we found was water dripping from the celing or ac units around the main court, water puddles all over the floor, even in sections with a roof and loud music loud people around our table. Definitely not a quiet, relaxing restaurant, more of a classic Miami vibe. I would recommend for young people and friends nights out.
So let’s start with first impressions. Walking in the doors you just see this beautiful space. I was told the food was good here……it really is.The yellowfin tuna is delicious, the ribeye is devine. I’m about to try the sticky rice pudding……and yes it’s in keeping with everything else I have consumed this evening.Service is first-class here, and the food and wine list……well, I suggest you try that for yourself.I totally recommend this establishment, and my waiters name was Soe!
"Jaya was epic 👌🏼" was exactly what the birthday girl said the next day! I managed to book us a table for 4 thirty minutes ahead and must thank the hosts for accommodating us after arriving a bit late... lets just say, Saturday night at Jaya is buzzing with the trendiest of Miami. Cocktails were on point and the food didnt disappoint, but it was the entertainment that rounded off a great night! Fire/aerial dancing acts flowed throughout the dinner courses and the bass in the music was surely felt. We had the Lamb Chops, Chilean Seabass, Chicken Tikka and the Thali Platter. Our lead waiter missed my birthday memo when dessert was served, but remedied the situation with a "Happy Birthday" ice cream dessert. Word is Brunch is fantastic.. so Jaya at The Setai will see me again!
Oh man what an amazing place!I am so goad that i booked my table in advance.Boy it gets crazy crowded on the weekends. We had our dinner here on friday evening.Starting with the ambiance you would feel like you are in crazy posch restaurant , music was killer , i think they have djs on weekends.Quick service, such delicious and diverse food and mean mean drinks. My fav was fig old fashioned .Food: thali was good and it is sufficient for two to three people, sushi was also good.Def def recommend for a special occasion.I cant remember the name if the server but that guy was amazing, answered all of our questions and recommended food and drinks both.Expensive for sure but totally worth it.
Very luxurious restaurant. We went for Sunday Jazz Brunch. It’s fixed price buffet($95 x ppwith unlimited bubbles. It’s Asian fusion with American twist, you’ll see from sashimi, sushi to beef massaman curry to mini burgers. The service is impeccable, the place is beautiful and the food is ok.
I came here with my girlfriend for our 2 year anniversary! I had a couple friends recommend it and I started to see how nice it was onlineWe are so so so glad we came out because this place hit all the marks! Amazing Ambience, Amazing shows, amazing food, and most importantly amazing service. Our server Jacques was so funny and attentive throughout the night and even recommend some nice dishes. My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience and were surprised to see some live shows occur as well! Definitely are looking forward to coming back and trying new dishes. We had the wagyu dumplings, fried rice, salmon, and chicken inside the sauce. Everything was amazing especially fried rice !
It was all about the vibe. Since you walk in, you can feel it. Dinner performance was great. The food came out very fast. Everything tasted great. Cocktails were delicious. Only thing, I had to wait an hour after our reservation time.
Came for Miami Spice lunch menu. Beautiful setting. The food was good although portions were slightly small. Alcoholic cocktails started at $18, so pricey. Waiter lacked knowledge about the food and drinks.
Truly 5 star! IMO this is the best restaurant in Miami Beach right now. Impeccable service, Exquisite food, and a vibrant atmosphere. From the moment you walk in the front door you will be impressed. Enjoy!
Having dinner at Jaya at the Setai was an experience! The food, although a little pricey, tasted great. I was beyond satisfied with the service, the entire staff was very welcoming. The scenery alone is really worth the visit, I feel like going back just to take more pictures. I personally really enjoyed the music, and when the performers came to dance in the pond area, the night got really elevated. The combination of the decor, performances, music, and overall ambiance really made my night unforgettable! Id love to go back, and would highly recommend anyone to "experience" Jaya at the Setai!
