I had an amazing day. The only reason i do not give it five stars cause i had to wait a long time for my cocktails. Other than that, an amazing experience

Twas an interesting experience, the lady who helped us was also well informed and was able to answer any question we had. Has always been my fav drink cos their non-alcoholic range tastes real good for me(I don’t drink alcohol). And so I had to choose this wine tasting experience of all the wineries around the Cape.

No words can describe this experience. Highly recommend having a tasting if you looking for something elegant to do

By far the worst experience I’ve had at any wine tasting/ restaurant. I took a friend there for her birthday - the waitress asked us to pay our bill in the middle of the pizza and wine tasting? We then ordered a bottle to drink outside which never came. After we eventually got our bottle, we drank half of it and asked if we could have a cork to take the rest home. The waitress said the cork had been thrown away but brought us something to cover the top. As our Uber arrived, another man came running up to us and said we were not allowed to take an opened bottle off the premises even though we had paid for it and took it away. Since our Uber had just arrived, we didn’t have the opportunity to stay and drink the rest. No apology was offered. I regret spending any money at this place and will never support JC le Roux again.

Only found the estate thanks to Google maps as there are no sign posts on the main road outside at all...but what a lovely surprise! It was packed upstairs, so we opted to sit downstairs where it was quieter. We had the cheesecake and J C le Roux pairing which was exceptional, and led by a lovely host (I didnt get her name unfortunately). The pairing was perfect, and brought out the various flavours of the cheesecakes and the sparkling wines. We will definitely be back!!

Lovely tasting rooms. Great pairings with generous portions. Well priced and friendly staff. PS, got a free glass of bubbles because it was my birthday, so they add cute touches to your day :)

My first and long overdue visit today with friends. Everything was excellent. From the lovely attentive trainee waiter, Dillon, to the prawn pasta, lasagne and chardonay. Will definitely be back. Well worth a few more visits..... ⚘⚘⚘

Amazing..Phenomenal....Absolutely love it.It is a total must to book a wine tasting and/or a table at the restaurant.

This was an unusual experience for me. I have never had a cheese cake tasting with champagne before. The location and setting is lovely so we sat outside for the tasting. There is ample indoor seating should you prefer this. There were 3 types of champagne accompanied by complementing cheesecakes. Our host gave us a brief introduction to the champagne and suggested how we approach the tasting. I was told later that some hosts are better than others. Our host appeared to be in a hurry and was not engaging. After the tasting you can buy your preferred champagne from the store. If you are looking for something out of the ordinary then this experience is worth a try.

The Cucina Di Giovanni restaurant @ The House of JC Le Roux ticks all the boxes. I have got only positive things to say about my experience at such a beautiful estate. Delicious food, breath-taking views of the vineyards and mountains, and awesome atmosphere. To live this experience on weekends, booking must be made at least a week in advance. I cannot wait to do it again!!!

1 star, because I cant give you a zero! Wow... in the worst sense of the word. We waited at the door because the host counter was empty. Thereafter, a man approached us and asked for our booking. Walked away and called another guy, another rude guy! He handed our party of 6 one singular menu to look at the tastings available then realized that one menu isnt enough for 6 people and gave us one more. He then walked away. We were left standing by the door. We were still standing there and he made us pay for the tastings first before being accompanied to the seating. His approach was completely rude and he behaved like he was doing us a favor as paying patrons to be there.The reason for all the delay and wait was because they had an unexpected party of 20, yet we had made a booking about a month in advance.Anywayyy, poor service, overpriced tastings, confusion and mayhem. Not worth the time and effort.P.S. I used your wifi to write this review.P.P.S tasting didnt even last 30 mins. We were basically harassed by the waitress for why we didnt enjoy our experience. Oh, I dont know. It could have been the rude introduction and service, the fact that we had to pay and wait by the door with 2 menus, or maybe even that you put the crate with the tasting glasses on the dirty floor before serving us.Pathetic. Do better.Kind regards 😄

Stunning venue, service impeccable, amazing food!

Loved the bubbly experience. Take it with nougat, cheesecake or pizza. We tried all of them. Definitely recommend a visit. What a delightful day we had.

Amazing atmosphere, stunning views and awesome service. Pairing are generous and plentiful. The combinations are truly meant for all tastes. Very inviting staff and Thembi made our day with her knowledge of the bubbly and the assistance with the menu. Although the seating areas we busy not once did we feel like we stuffed into a corner. It was a very informative, relaxed and fun vibe. Definitely worth a second and third visit. Maybe they could have the menu stretched to the deck area outside where we could enjoy some the edibles on the menu from the restaurant on weekends. Maybe for future renovations they could extend on the deck area to allow for more scenic photos. The entrance to the farm down plays what you actually get when you inside and ambience. Made a reservation, got there, seemed like they forgot to make the reservation. The service was terrible. Waited a long time to be served, even though the host took us to a table. Had to eventually call a waiter over. The waiter still asked if we have been served or not.Finally got wine, after the wait. Which had almost no sparkle in them, the wine was flat. Would not recommend.I have been there before multiple times and this was just terrible.

Woow the place is wonderfull, beautiful and accomodating, food was fabulous especially their sea food pizza, and mostly to their waitresses, you rock guys, you know your story very well and keep up the good work.

Absolutely stunning after Simon, who was a fabulous host and even arranged for our omelettes to have decent bacon made after the bacon was originally over fried, definitely a Top Class asset to the business, he even organized whipped cream for our cappuccino which the establishment doesnt offer. We will definitely be back and hopefully Simon will be a promoted.Nosipho was very thorough with explaining the wine tasting,very informative and friendly.Overall a fabulous experience and well definitely be back to visit Simon.

JC Le Roux is a great vineyard to visit for wine connoisseurs and newbies alike! The sparking wine and nougat pairing is a unique and enjoyable experience. Our guide, Lovemore, was well versed, friendly and an absolute pleasure to be around!I was disappointed that we weren’t allowed to sit outside due to the wind. We were told that the wind blows the glasses over but there were at least 5 groups sitting outside and we were the only ones sitting inside.

It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Beautiful set up inside and out. Amazing scenery especially if you wanting to take some good pictures. We were a group of 4 and we did the wine paired with pizza. Everything was explained to us very nicely and the lovely lady took us through the process of how to eat and drink in order to get the proper experience. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was when the pizza arrived it was cold. Perhaps the wine should be brought first and the pizza last to ensure it arrives warm. Other than that we will definitely be back to experience and enjoy everything else that is offered.

If you havent done a tasting here yet, do it now! The venue is beautiful and a great place to have some lunch. You can purchase all the JC le Roux sparkling wines and MCCs on premises, as well as Pongracz. There are lovely private spaces to use for bridal showers, etc, as well as a cinema style venue for meetings and presentations. You are guaranteed to have a great day out!

Had an awesome pizza pairing 🍕 🍷 . The pizzas were amazing and just went well with the sparkling wines provided🥂. I would certainly recommend it. I little far outside Capetown but well worth the trip. Was responsibly priced and well presented 💵. They have a on site shop stocked with all your favorite JC products 🍾. When booking make sure that they know your order so you dont have to wait even though we recieved a complimentary glass of bubbly ☺. When you leave make sure to taste their ice lollies 🙊. They are to die for. Enjoy!

Our reservation was at 1 Pm, however we were sat in the waiting area for roughly 30 mins, we didnt mind as they said to be setting up and we had the most amazing welcoming drink. However, upon our arrival to the table, we were super disappointed...Our pizzas were ice, ice cold and there was no serviettes so all a mess.The service was pathetic, for the price it was not worth it.This was suppose to be a birthday gift to my partner and Im deeply regretting my decision to go for this experience.

A great looking location and building with a classy feel and vibe however staff could level up a bit to fit in with this a bit better. The tasting and pairings were really good and spot on and the staff knew what they were talking about. There is plenty of free parking and the place is wheelchair friendly.NB: its advisable to book before you go and do watch the opening times for the restaurant vs the tasting.

Loved the experience! Ive always liked JC Le Roux sparkling wine for special occasions but the wine tasting and restaurant experience was truly lovely. The seafood salad was the best Ive had 😋 The restaurant booking had some snags but Im hoping it was a once off as I would like to go back soon 😊

This was a beautiful experience , ive always wanted to go bit never had the time but today was the perfect day. The guy that assisted us was amazing and very knowledgeable. Will definitely recommend the nougat and bubbly pairing and the pizza and bubbly pairing ( lol i could resist i had both.

Good for a certain market I guess. Glitz, glam and glass - not so much my scene. Had breakfast at the restaurant with family and the service was quite disappointing, good menu, but food not served as described. Followed with a sparkling wine tasting which was a fun experience even though I am more of an MCC fan.

My family and I came to Cape Town for the weekend and we decided to attend a few wine farms. First on our list was the iconic JC Le Roux. We were so excited only to be greated by the sales consultant who was less than welcoming. Unfortunately we were unaware that you need to make a booking. The sales consultant asked if we had made a booking and we confirmed that we were unaware that it was necessary. I have never made a booking previously furthermore being that it was 10 in the morning it was empty. Only after informing him that we were unaware and that the place was empty did he allow us to stay. The sales consultant really dampened the mood but the waiter kyle was of 5 star quality. Overall we were underwhelmed.

Second time here and always a pleasant experience.They have the most divine nougat and champagne pairings. Quality experience and value for money.Its a pity that they discontinued the olive and champagne pairings though.

J.C Le Roux is the idea venue for a celebration . They cater delicious food en tasty wine. I had a blast when i visited them. They have friendly staff and beautiful veiws of the mountains and vineyards. I would definitely recommend this place for any occasion. I had a lot of fun.

Delightful experience. The wine pairings with something to nibble is quite exquisite. The location is simply gorgeous and the interior setup amazingly appealing. I definitely recommend a visit if you are in the mood for some bubbly and great scenery.

Lovely venue and location. Did the nougat and bubbly pairing which was divine. I did the same pairing a few years ago and liked the fact that the nougat and bubbles were different to last time. The assistance at the front desk and the person who took us through the pairing gave great service! One small downside is that the prices of the bottles were pretty much what they cost in stores.

Great food and mcc. Their desserts were a bit disappointing as something tasted a bit off and was flavorless for the price - but staff was nice enough to remove from the bill.
