J K's Kitchen - Breakfast restaurant in Asheville, United States
Their answering machine message says they will reopen in mid September under new ownership.
The only decent breakfast in Asheville . Best staff offered friendly, fast, reliable service. We will truly miss you all.
Clean, fast workers. Great eating environment
My wife and I love coming here, they have good food and staff are great.
The food here is yummy and the staff are fantastic!!
Great local breakfast/lunch place. Small, friendly place with great home cooking. Great prices and wonderful homey, old time atmosphere.
Always consistently good food and great service.
Good standard breakfast fare, great service!
You will not find a better place to eat. I promise you, you will love the staff, the down home atmosphere, the food and you are served your meal quicker than any place in Asheville. Its my go to for breakfast. Its going to be cooked well and served quick. Love the staff, always attentive.
Quick Sunday brunch! Very kind people and affordable prices!
Stuff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was very good! Will definitely be going back again.
Good southern breakfast. Definitely a place the locals go. Friendly atmosphere and amazing food.
I recommend this diner for Breakfast. Very good food and friendly people.
Service was good, price was fair, food was ok nothing special.
Great food, only let down is I was hoping for hashbrowns, but they didnt have any.
Always always always great quick service. Home town cooking thats always always always MOST EXCELLENT! Needless to say I love this inexpensive clean generous serving place and because of the wait on the weekends tells me I am NOT ALONE. If you try it youre going to LOVE IT!
Awesome! Breakfast was fabulous! Service outstanding - very quick!
Good home cooking, great service.
1st time eating here. Clean restaurant with good breakfast. Courteous and attentive waitress.
We enjoyed this place. Everyone was friendly and the workers were perfessional. The food was very tasty.
The friendly staff was a highlight. Food was so good!
Food is great! Affordable, service is great also, I just wish they stayed open longer…😢
Great breakfast spot! Obviously the place to eat for breakfast. All the locals go here. So good there is often a line to get in. All of the items are spot on. The best breakfast service and after a few times they will remember your name!
A good no frills breakfast and lunch spot. Good food at a good price. Ive never had fried squash before and I liked it.
My husband and I were late-comers to JKs , but now we are regulars. It has a friendly, low-key vibe. We like that its not noisy. The food is excellent and the servers genuinely understand and provide friendliness and good service. If you havent tried JKs, do yourself a favor. Go hungry!
Always good food. Only complaint is that theres no waiting area to speak of so when youre waiting youre out in the cold :-)
My friends and I visited for breakfast. We all order different items and everything was delicious. Our waitress kept a check on us and kept the drinks full. Will go again for lunch next time.
LOVE this quaint, warm family place.. staff/wait staff friendly & attentive. REALLY GOOD homey FOOD, especially breakfast!
Affordable, delicious. Great service. Will be back. Good fresh food!
Normally this place is good in person. If you want pick up during a busy time look else where. The hostess hung up on me twice after being on hold bc , Im assuming, she couldnt do her job. Get there in person or dont call
A local icon in the restaurant business. These folks are superb at what they do. Highly recommend this as a breakfast or lunch stop. Friendliest servers in Asheville. A menu with many home cooking feel options.
I have visited on a busy Sunday for lunch and during a Wednesday slow day and its been consistently good and high quality food. Dont come expecting a 30 dollar ribeye but for a good filling lunch for the whole family at a great price this is the place to be! You will not be disappointed!
It was very busy and they were incredible, getting us our breakfast rapidly. Also, the price was great for the amount of food you received!
Excellent service. Delicious food. Family friendly atmosphere. Reasonably prices. First time eating here, and we will absolutely be back.
This is our favorite gathering spot to eat and see people weve met and grown to love over many years. All the wonderful staff are like family. The food is very good and so are the prices. They sure pile the county ham on those biscuits! Great place!
Love this place! Delicious breakfast and cozy family atmosphere 😋
It’s a small place like mom and pops place! The Serivce was awesome the food was off the chain! We was goin to go to Cracker Barrel but I’m so glad we changed our mind and went with them! They don’t have much of a lunch meat but their Breakfast lots of choice. Our waitress was on point
Love this place! Locally owned, food is always delicious and fresh. Service is always great. Highly recommend the yummy eggs benedict with tomato and a delicious hot cup of coffee with vanilla cream. Prices are VERY reasonable.
Delicious breakfast, great little place, would definitely recommend! Thanks guys it was awesome
Very good service, very good food. A bit pricey. Expect to spend some time waiting on a seat. Personally I find the breakfast at waffle house just down the road a short way. to better, with bigger servings, at a lot cheaper price. And I can see exactly how it is being cooked and played.
This restaurant is such a delight! Great service, great food, great price. They need a bigger parking area but other than that everything was great. Got a lot of food for just 7.25. (Eggs, bacon, biscuit and coffeewaitress really friendly as CD on top of things. Live how they have mismatched coffee cups and salt and pepper shakes, adds to a homey feel. Highly recommend!
JK’s kitchen is, in many ways, the quintessential small town diner. The waitresses were cheery and pleasant, the food options straight-forward and delicious, the coffee black and hot, and the restaurant clean and welcoming.Located between Asheville and Hendersonville, I definitely recommend stopping in for a nice relaxing breakfast on mountain time, and let the rush of the city fade away while you sip some coffee and chat.Note—it looks like JK’s is going to be open for dinner on some nights as well.
Their breakfast is great and their service is always really good. You never have to wait long to get your food here. It’s a no frills place unlike the touristy/trendy spots in town. If you’re a local who doesn’t need to feel like a cool tourist who waits an hour for breakfast, come here. I especially like their random assortment of coffee mugs. No two mugs are the same.
Great menu selection they even had a senior citizens menu. I went for breakfast and the food was absolutely delicious and the prices were so pocket friendly. Ex friend and I ordered a large French toast (6pieces), meat omlette, bacon egg and cheese bagle (hugetwo sides of grits, coffee and tea for $25. It is so worth it 😋😋😋 enjoy!!
Step back in time and eat lunch or breakfast at one of my favorite places for fine food and friendly service for n Asheville. Good place to stop before airport.
If youre looking for a simple and quick breakfast that wont break the bank, this is the place.
We ate there recently after church with family. We are part of a quite large group and was surprised how quickly they were able to serve everyone in a group of well over 12 people. The food was good, but not spectacular. I was most impressed by the service and with the prices it really could not be beat. If youre looking for a casual breakfast and you can certainly do a lot worse and its worth a try
They have the best breakfast ever! And their lunch menu is extremely good too. Theyre only open until 2 pm, which is sad because I crave their eggs benedict for dinner sometimes hahaha
The place has a wonderful atmosphere, the servers are fast and very friendly. I go with a group of guys on Saturdays and they take very good care of us. The food is delicious and prepared perfectly. Not too greasy, not dry, its a wonderful family friendly breakfast dinner.
Service was quick and efficient, and the breakfast was great! Prices werent bad either. $17 for 2 adults. Busy because of Sunday traffic, but we were seated in 10-15 min. Id eat here again without a doubt.
