Love the steak sandwich! Staff very pleasant and helpful with questions you might have.

So last year I gave them a 5 star. I just changed to 3 stars & thats only because Ive been a customer over 25 years & this is the 1st time my food SUCKED. Last week 9/28/22 I picked up dinner. Italian sub with french fries my regular as always. Chicken, bacon ranch sub with perogies for the hubby. It was terrible, SO DISAPPOINTED Nothing was fresh as it always was. The bread was hard on both sandwiches. My lettuce was brown & the part of the roll that wasnt hard was soggy. French fries & perogies tasted as though it was fried in oil they havent cleaned in over a week. I love to cook & it makes me happy to make sure the people I cook for have a great experience & enjoy there fresh hot meals. This was nothing like that, ugh. Very disappointed please go back to serving sandwiches on fresh bread, veggies & please clean your oil everyday. Thank you!

Terrific! I used to go when I was a kid to the one in Allentown on 15th St (when I skipped school, dont tell my mom). As good as I remember. Loved that chesesteak & fries!

The best cheesesteaks in the whole Lehigh Valley bar none. If you want a great cheesesteak, go there. Service is excellent too.

Onion rings and fries were obviously cooked in used Oil and the sandwiches are just horribly made. It was better back in the 90s

Hadnt had Js since I left Allentown in 1996. I thought they were long gone, but no. Stefko Blvd with the win!!! Original Js with pierogies!!! Boom!!!

Great food! Had a cheese steak and a cold cut and both were delicious.Get the pirogis!

Steak sandwich was ok, the fried food not so much. We had onion rings, they were fried and swimming in old burnt brown oil and they were inedible. Never again

Yummy cheese steaks and very large portion on the sides. All was yummy.

Got a 6” American sub, when he brought it out said my mistake and your gain he used the 12” bun. I thanked him and was not disappointed. Great taste and quick service.

I found out tonight they dont make roast beef subs, so I opted for a burger & a hot dog, food was average.

Best combination of cheese steak and perogies. Plus the funnel cake fries are a must have.

Not as good as Tony Lukes or Jims but one of the best in the lehigh valley

we ate from here today and the steaks were good. but ANYTHING fried??? yea no. i work at a drive in where half the menu is fried and i can tell just from the smell of the fries that they need to change the oil. not to mention the funky taste. take care of the establishment and it will show in the reviews.

First time and last time here. Cant eat a soggy cheesesteak sandwich.. I would understand a little bit. But for the whole sandwich to be soggy, and I bought 4 sandwiches. Not good.

Spectacular cheesesteaks (one of the best in the Lehigh valley on a rapidly decreased list of the bestand a great variety of them, plus a number of other excellent items on their menu as well. Very nice staff, and credibly clean facility. A true pleasure to come back here and highly recommended

Got my Cheesesteak to go and its still reminded me of Js steaks & subs I used to get when I was a kid.

Wish I could have eaten it but after watching the obscene amounts of cross contamination happen, i threw it in the trash on the way out. This is a management problem not an employee problem. Gloves defeat the purpose of keeping anyone safe if you use the same gloves for your touching monitors, to personal cell phones, to handling food to licking the sauce off your fingers back to handling food and equipment.

I ordered a 10" cheesesteak and let me warn you. It may be 10" long but its girth is not to be triffled with. The thing is massive, Im the type to finish what I started, but with this cheesesteak I had to save it because there was just so much meat. And it was delicious!Family owned, small business, nice customer service. Will be informing my parents about this place.

Typical cheesesteak sandwich. I do like the finely chopped meat. I prefer my roll toasted, not wet. The fries tasted like they were cooked in old oil...definitely time to change the oil in the deepfryer.

Dirty tables. All of them. Drove from west Allentown, walked in, saw all the tables were dirty and walked out. If you cant keep the place clean during Covid you might as well just close. Disappointed.

Amazing cheesesteaks that are packed with meat. Good price for the amount of food. Light fryer stuff is also good and good priced.

Not impressed. Ordered through Uber eats. Subs were super soggy. Could have delt with that somewhat considering it was delivery. I could literally squeeze the grease out of the funnel fries. Perogies came with no sour cream. Fries came with no ketchup. Specially asked for napkins, utensils and condiments. None were included. We most likely will not be ordering here again.

The food was great. We had a party of 10 with a variety of needs, so the order was complicated. The food took more than a half hour to get to is, which wasnt ideal, and there were a couple of mishaps with the orders. However, it appeared the staff was young and still training. We will come back because, bottom line, everyone enjoyed their food.

I love J subs but the last few times I am very specific on how Ill like my sub yet... Its ALWAYS messed up the "I didnt see". I went down the road not even 1 min today. My sub was gross! And of course missing my toppings. Smfh. I think Ill be staying away!!!

Was in Friday night 10 minutes before J’s Closed... the two young gentlemen behind the counter were nothing but respectful and extremely clean while making my dinner. Was very happy to see the workers wearing gloves... CLEAN!!

First time there and the guy was nice and friendly, he made my tuna sandwich great. It was just really nice, clean. And excellent customer service

Good place for a sub, younger employees offend talking and ignoring people. But when a manager is around, they are fully interested in furfilling order. Could be cleaner, so many rust spots on tables.

I go there sometime cause cant always cant afford it but when I can I go there but now twice I got California cheese steak and no cheese or Mayo on it except at the end of the steak sandwich I spend over$11 on it and I want cheese and Mayo on it .you ywings are good though.

Great food love the pierogies and steak sandwiches. My only gripe is they still use styrofoam cups so they are promoting death to our environment.

I love this place! Inexpensive and great food when you cant decide if you want to join in the burger wars on Stefko or just get something else good and on your family budget, this is the spot! And if youre watching the playoffs or gaming this weekend, this would be the better choice and cheaper than Woodys. #IJS #BallinOnABudget

Horrible food and horrible service. Messed up on two different orders. The lady had an attitude to begin with. Fell sick after I ate the food. Was trying to give them a second chance but after today no more chances. Will never go there again

Somewhere between fast food and overpriced local bar food is Js.Service is friendly and prompt, but best to order ahead for fast takeout. Well ventilated eating-in space is also available and the staff regularly maintain cleanliness of tables and chairs.Although, avoid at all costs the arcade game museum of horrors on the side wall. Who knows what secrets lie between the plastic cracks and well worn joysticks.

We go here to satisfy our cravings and get a jumbo cheesesteak (no red sauce, please!), jumbo pierogies, & drink for $15. Its a good deal & they load the steaks w/meat & onions! Check them out in Bethlehem & Easton stores!

Paid for extra cheese and could barely taste or let alone even see any cheese. Taste was good other than that. Portion size was good. Corn nuggets were good too. Ill be back.

Best subs and cheesteaks..It is worth driving an hour for. Got the american with oil and vinegar on it and cheesteak wiyh sauce onion and pickle. Very good. One of our favorite sub shops.

I worked here as a teen 35 years ago. The ch steaks are awesome and roll is packed. Lady behind the counter said she has been there 37 years. Congratulations to u and thank u for serving us for so long. Thanks to the cook for the great food and getting my order correct. Will be back.

Used to have the absolute best BLT. Still pretty good but something is just a tad off now... but still better than anyone else. Steak sandwiches better than others and taste the same.

Food was meh... Hubby and I ordered cheesesteaks. They were bland and dry. However, we picked up burgers and fries for out boys and they said the good was fantastic! Oh, and they have some pretty good pierogies. Just disappointed that a steak shops steak sandwiches are so boring. Also note, Its a bit over priced in my opinion. Lastly, the staff were not very good at listening and got some things wrong and didnt seem to care. First visit and it will have been my last. Ill stick with pizza Mart or charles pizza in allentown instead.

The cheesesteak today was so packed that you couldve made a whole other sandwich. It was beyond delicious. Its been sometime since my last visit....but I would not hesitate to recommend this "Js" on Stefko Blvd!!! Enjoy!!

We decided to try this place on a whim driving by. Moms got a chicken sandwich that was good, she did order fries that she didnt get but didnt pay for it either. I ordered a cheese steak and they put red sauce on a cheesesteak hoagie Im not a fan of that.

Still one of my favorite places for a cheese steak. Theyve been around since I was a kid and there arent too many left. Since I grew up with them they are classic, are far as cheese steaks go.

Absolutely one of the best steal sandwiches around. The customer service is also excellent! We drive 35 minutes just to eat here!

First time at js.. Ordered cheesesteak sub with fries.. It was ok.. I dont feel that there is anything special with the cheesesteak. It was good enough but I probably wont be back any time soon.

Their food is good however their staff needs some help. The girl who picked up the phone was very rude so I hung up before even placing my order. I think they should consider training their staff how to politely speak to customers, or hire people who want to be there.

Great food and reasonably priced. Perogies, subs, cheeseteaks in particular are a must. I questioned the sauce at first but it is homemade and delicious and really compliments the sandwiches. Staff are all friendly and polite and one male employee is very attractive. ;)
