Vegetarian main courses with a choice of sides and toppings, in a cafe setting with big windows.
Delightful tastes at great value
Always reliable. Enjoyed yet another excellent lunch of delicious veggie food.
One of Brightons finest veggie and vegan eatery 👍
Great food, was here on a course in Brighton and got recommended this place. Such good food and value!
Amazing beautiful food, beautiful people who working there, my son took me for lunch and I was blown away, I really wish I lived nearer to visit more often.
Best scrambled eggs Ive ever had. Really nice minimalist aesthetic, combined with knowledge that the food is fairly sourced, organic and healthy. Highly recommend the smoothies, and the Iydea breakfasts. Perfect for vegetarians and vegans. The staff were really humble, and very friendly and accommodating. Will make this a must-visit whenever I come to Brighton.
If you’re vegetarian/vegan looking for a casual place to eat this is great for lunch. There’s always a selection of different mains and sides to choose from and the food is always so tasty and fresh. Always feel comfortable coming and sitting in here alone and the staff are very friendly :)
Food was perfect for the hot weather!
I absolutely loved it. The food is nice and tasty and plenty of choices. That’s not overly priced and what’s more it is healthy!!
So delicious for such good value. The friendliest staff and lovely atmosphere.
The best restaurant in Brighton! Everything was really delicious, the prices were quite low and the waiters very attentive.
Very interesting selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes.
Lovely cafe with really friendly, helpful staff. Fresh, tasty food at a very reasonable price. Ingredients clearly listed so allergies easy to avoid.
Excellent, very vegan friendly place for lunch. Delicious food and super helpful Team
Great place for lunch, a big plate of yummy tasty healthy food for a very reasonable price. Friendly staff too🙂
Good variety and large portion size. Really recommend this place for vegetarians
We absolutely love visiting Lydea whenever we are in the Brighton Lanes.Fresh, healthy food with a revolving weekly menu. Lots of hot dishes, plus a variety of colourful salads. Pricing is reasonable and the portion size is decent. The staff are lovely and so accommodating. This is a very popular cafe... and it does get very busy on Saturdays, so maybe go slightly before or after 1pm to avoid the rush. Also because space is quite tight inside you may have to share your table with others.Well be back soon.👍
Every dish is amazing and the variety is fantastic. The produce they use is also always fresh. One of our favourite places to eat in Brighton
This place is just amazing. They should sell there recipes as I cant get enough of it.
Food is good. It is pure vegetarian and vegan restaurant in a small street
Love this cafe. Really healthy food in a relaxed, informal & cosy setting. No bookings - just rock up and wait your turn!
One of my favourite places to go for lunch in Brighton. Theres plenty of choice and they serve different dishes daily. The place was packed, but we were served quickly and only had to wait a few minutes to find a table. I also found the staff very friendly and helpful dispite them being so busy.
I loved it, I went with my brother both of us are meat eaters and the food was great with out, staff was friendly and cheery over all best place for food and coffee, cant wait to take my mum with me as I know she will love it too.
Had a fantastic lunch here. Two meals of generous proportion served up by friendly and efficient staff. Meal quality was excellent and prices reasonable too.
Very very busy restaurant, I managed to share a table with a couple. The food was amazing. The juice was lovely and refreshing. I will definitely come back. Highly recommend this place.
Great healthy tasty fresh food.Paid £7.50 for takeout (which got me 1 main, 2 salads and 2 toppings).Costs a pound or 2 more if you eat in (but then you also get more food, and they fill a plate for you). This is a buffet style serving, were the food/menu is continually changed over. Can recommend if your in the Lanes and looking for a healthy filling lunch.
Nice vegetarian canteen-style cafe, with a good variety of dishes - when we went they had things like enchiladas, caribbean bean stew, green curry and more. It was £8 for a main, rice, two sides and one topping, so its a big plate of food for a reasonable price. Good if you fancy a healthy lunch.
Been meaning to leave a review for some time now. Wonderful little place and definitely worth checking out when visiting the lanes. My wife being a vegetarian suggested lunch there once. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The variety each day is incredible and the food is absolutely fresh and delicious. I love how one can pick and choose between dishes offered that day. Great place and definitely an absolute must not only for vegetarians/vegans.
Very busy and cold with the door open most of the time. Small inside, so lucky to get a table. Probably on the pricey end of the spectrum. But food was lovely. Probably a mistake to have had the carrot and ginger drink with all the food, as was all a bit much for my stomach. Enchiladas were spicy.
So glad its back open. One of my favourite places to grab breakfast or lunch. Great selection of veggie & vegan dishes, packed full of flavour. As good as ever!
This restaurant was incredibly impressive in two main ways.Firstly, the ethos and style. So much of the fast food available today is processed and poisonous, and reflects a sad wider trends of calorie high nutrient poor diets - not to mention all of the detrimental impacts associated with this. This restaurant provides one possible blueprint to a remedy to this direction. I think I read on the front that all of the ingredients are organic, and you really feel like these are essentially very high quality home-cooked meals. You receive all the wonderful nutritional benefits and it probably arrived in less time and with far less wasteful packaging (nonethan a cheap greasy ultra-processed burger. While being quick, well-priced and authentic, the food was incredibly pleasurable to eat. To pick one thing out, we had the roasted carrots, somehow cooked to perfection with a rich and authentic flavour, despite being cooked in batches and kept hot under a counter.Very much enjoyed my experience here and would recommend others try it out
Popped in here in a whim and I was sooo pleasantly surprised (is that a back handed compliment? Its not meant as oneI went for a small meal, which was definitely not small! On size, on flavour, on anything. Absolutely delicious food, soooo filling, and very well priced. The staff were friendly and sweet, and the music on the speakers was absolutely top. Ive definitely found a new favourite place to eat.
Always a tasty amd creative meal to be had here. Been coming every time I visit Brighton and It never disappoints!!!
Amazing food, quick service, and super friendly menu for those that are gluten free and vegan. The chocolate tart (GF, vegan and sugar freewas hands down the best dessert we’ve had in years. A heaven on earth if you are vegans and/or gluten free. Every single item was DELICIOUS!
Simply incredible! Great, hearty "home-style" veggie food where you pick a main, a couple of sides, and a couple of toppings for around £10/head. Also try the green smoothie that sounds like it shouldnt work (broccoli and dates and nutmeg in a drink together...but is amazing- so good we went back for the next two days to get it to go! And, the staff are incredibly friendly and clearly love what they do (we were heading to the toy museum and needed some change for activities there, and the staff were absolutely lovely about swapping into 10p coins for us). If you like good food, lots of it, and want to support a friendly local restaurant with great staff, you HAVE to visit!
Well what can I say!! I popped down sunny Brighton to see My daughter and went out for some lunch. Im not a vegan but had a tasty meal(shock horrorlol. The staff were very friendly helpful and funny 👍The restaurant was busy with a good atmosphere, luckily they were dog friendly too. Thank you one and all 🤓
The food is incredible! Its all veggie and lots of vegan options too! There is so much variety with lots of lovely and healthy mains and sides to choose from! 🥗🍠🍛🥑Plus the punch was lush and greatly appreciated on this mega hot day! Oooo the smoothies are also amazing! 😍🍹The healthiest fast food/take out place around here for sure. You can eat in toooo. Its located in the very best street in the North Laines! There is outside seating too! Plus doggos are welcome 😍😍Highly recommended! The food is awesome! The staff are brilliant! The owners are beautiful!! 💜✨✨✨
A bite to remember!Recently we visited Iydea for a quick lunch, must have been a few Saturdays ago now.The staff were incredibly helpful with a great knowledge of their menu (this should be normal, but not always in my experience).Being a well-travelled individual, I know the struggles of getting healthy vegetarian/vegan food but Iydea came through with smashing flavours and healthy ingredients. You can really see they have put lots of thought into sourcing and making the food.I met one of the managers whose passion for food was contagious, he told me about his early days making bread in Taiwan. This place is a must go, if youre looking for drinks/lunch or dinner. I cant wait to try more soon!!!Thanks for making a lovely experience, places like Iydea make Brighton great :)
Went today, at absolutely loved it ✨ so vegan friendly and lovely vibe
Very good lunch varieties. Many Maincourses with a big selection of salads, sauces and toppings. Good prices.
Exquisitely seasoned and refreshing food, ideal for a peaceful lunch break. I personally got the arancini meal (£7.15 to takeaway)
A very bespoke "full english". Lovely hash browns bit more like bubble and squeak, beans were an exotic variety, veg sausages, fried mushrooms had advocado in with them giving them a nice twist and rye bread for toast. Busy but enough space. Very dog friendly, water bowl provided and he was offered a doggie treat too. This was a great place with great attention to detail.
This popular eatery serves deliciousvegetarian food, in friendly surrounds.Trays of beautiful dishes, and vegetables.Smoothies and juices. Coffee and tea.Sunny outside seating. Kensington Gdnsis pedestrians only. No WiFi. Dog friendly.Small toilet. No baby change.
If you are looking for a casual restaurant that represents Brighton, this is it. Amazing staff, honest and filling food, and a lovely atmosphere. What more could you ask for? Keep up the good work!!
The variety of food was great and it was good value for money with generous portions! Canteen style of service but the food was really fresh and hot to eat. Staff lovely and welcoming..go veggies!
Delicious veggie and vegan options in a pick n mix style cafe. Always tasty and filling. Eat in or take away and doggie friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating. Brighton classic 💖💖
Really good food! I stopped in for smoothie but ended up getting a plate - it looked so good - and it was a great choice. My plate looks like a mess ;I’m glad I went in!
Stumbled across this place whilst walking around the streets of Brighton. We ordered a large coffee, large chai latte, a big breakfast (vegetariana small breakfast (veganand the vegan raspberry and almond cake. Everything came to £21. We had to pay cash as the card machine was out of order. We were both happy with our breakfasts, they were very tasty. The tofu scramble was delicious! The cake was amazing too. Chocolate sauce spelled ‘cake yum!’ on the plate which was a nice touch! The service was great, the food and drinks arrived quickly and the staff were nice. The toilet was upstairs. It was a little chilly in there but I would definitely recommend it and eat here again!
The best vegan food in Brighton. Ive been coming to this restaurant for years and the food only gets better. The drinks are delicious and the staff are really friendly and service-oriented. I cant recommend them enough. You dont have to be vegan to eat here. I certainly am not, but I still love their food.
Come here and you definitely wont leave hungry. The meal portions are hearty and guaranteed to fill. Theres a good range of vegetarian and vegan food and sides to choose from, and most of the drinks are homemade.Staff are lovely and have good suggestions on whats good to eat if your not sure. The ambiance is warm and inviting with interesting artwork, although the space itself is quite small. This is only a drawback when its busy, as spaces fill up quickly, but during its quieter moments, its worth going.Price-wise its not too bad. This isnt a cafe you can pop-in and spend a few quid on something to eat, but if youre looking for a meal, this is much cheaper than a takeaway pizza, and will probably fill you up more.Alll in all, I would recommend this and will be returning to enjoy its food again.
