Iuliu Hațieganu Sports Park in Zalau

Almost in the middle of the city, There is a great park and a sportive base where you can do a lot of things such as ( running, tennis, soccer, basket, swimming, etcor enjoying the fresh air and just walking.

Many play areas for kids and adults. And many trees for shadow which is great on Summer days.

A bit like left behind 20 years but cool in a wierd way!

Proper sports center. The occasional hillbilly, but its Romania, whatchu gonna do???

Its great to go there for a run, the prices for accessing the park and the track are low, just make sure that you have where to leave your things. They have a few lockers there, but its not what I would call safe.

You can practice lots of sports. Great for kids!

A very pleasant, shady and refreshing place to practice sports or just to go for a walk away from the hot city, especially in summer.

What a wonderful sports park it is! This is the former Babes park, where I spent a lot of my university years training in the track & field team. The track rocks, refurbished and well maintained.

Very close the river, wonderful view in the evening, splendid location for a night walk.

Long clean alleys, very green, fresh air. Nice skatepark, lots of kids.

Its a nice place to take children, there are a lot of sliders, slings, sports fields and a lot of green space, benches, covered little houses near the tables sets for the old people playing chess. 👍👌❤

It was awesome, but I still dont get why blacks cannot mix freely with the white during free plays, i feel it kinda help both colors bond more..

In this Park you can spend your free time playing sports. It is an athletic field, a mini-football field, a tennis court and a large, covered swimming pool. In order to use the Athletics Track you must pay 10 Ron. Unfortunately you have no place to take a shower (thats why I gave 4 starsonly if you use the swimming pool (where you pay an entrance fee.

Beautiful park;, and a great spot to do and practice sports. Starting with swimming untill calisthenics athletic sport or fitness.

I use the swimming pool. It is ok. Has a big olimpic pool and a small one for children. There are saunas.

Clean, a lot of trees and places to practice different sports. Also, not crowded. In case of only visiting the park, a tax is required.

One of the better places in Cluj for jogging/cycling or maybe even a romantic walk. Nice view and fresher air than in most parts of the city.

The park is beautiful and very clean. You can do lots of sports inside like volleyball, football, tennis, swimming.(for money of course, they are not free). Outside of it, along Someș river, there is a bike lane which is one of the longest ones in Cluj.

You can walk or run near the river Somes. Bicycle road is present, great place for children to use their bicycles, no motorized traffic allowed in this area.

A very green place, full of trees and peace. I like going there with my hammock. You can also run or do sporty stuff, but I personally prefer relaxing and watch the squirrels.

Kinda old and a little unattended.. this could be such a beautiful place if it had the attention it deserves.But still, its a nice place to go for a walk or spend a few hours of relaxation :)

The park is a nice place for keeping a baby outdoor but the alleys are not appropriate for strollers.

Excellent place to relax,to walk and let children play in the modules. You can also use the jogging trails or you can enjoy the multiple facilities nearby: the Olympic pool, the tennis courts, the basketball courts, the gym, the soccer or the rugby fields.

Perfect for kids and sports. Indoor olympic swimming pool and kid pool. Tennis courts. Free access to the synthetic running track. No bikes, no dogs allowed.

Its a nice quiet park and also a sports base. It has lots of sports utilities, like a swimming pool, running track, rugby, baskteball, football fields and more. The prices for the swimming pool are quite steep, but its worth it. There is an entrance fee.

Looks so nice, you can do a lot of activities like walking, jogging, playing tennis or football. Kids can play in a special place.

A university park next to the Somes river, quite, with plenty of paths, sport-fields, great shadows from the trees. A nice place to walk or run!

Well maintained sports park, clean and accessible. The entrance fee is more symbolic than an actual fee. You have a running track, swimming pool, tennis, etc. The swimming is treated separately, it requires its own fee but none for the park.

Very good to go for a run in the park or just using the fenced running track. You can leave your belongings in there, while you run. It is safe. (For me and others)

One of the most beautiful parks in Cluj-Napoca. The perfect place for sport lovers and not only. This place provides dedicated places for you to perform a large variety of sports including: running, tennis, basketball, swimming, , volleyball etc. For those of you who want a quite and enjoyable walk this place is perfect because it is situated in a small forest so you will feel connected with the nature. There is also a small church there for those of you who want to link the physical activity with the spiritual one ;)

First of all, my entire childhood made circles around this place. And there was always something to discover, as it still has some remains of the older, and bigger park which served as a biology studying filed. Nowdays its still nice, I aint a sports person but never heard someone complaining about this place and its quality

If you like to disconnect from the city routine, here you can do some workout or many sports activities. It has an olimpic pool, rugby, football, tennis, volley, basket and jogging track.

Quite beautiful place, clean and calm. Pity though you have to pay a fee to enter, even though its a really minor one of 0,5€).

Going there on a weekly basis, quite a nice olace for some sport, but is not bicicle accesible, and you have to leave it outside
