Ithaca Farmers Market - Farmers' market in Ithaca, United States
Ithaca Farmers Market in Ithaca
Description
Privilege
The market was both smaller and larger than expected! Going during a chillier ‘off-season’ time was still special - most of the vendors were there. Really nice vendors and awesome trick-or-treat vibes
MoreAn absolutely incredible farmers market - From food vendors, and coffee stands. Fresh flowers, leather worked goods, meat, milk. You name it, someone had it. Dogs were welcome on the outside of the pavilion!
MoreI loved this place! The only downfall is the parking, or lack of. Get there early folks and remember, there is handicapped parking near the market. I didnt know this. My handicapped ♿️ mother had to walk all the way from near the road to the actual market. I loved the vendors, especially Just A Few Acres! Thank you Pete for the home grown meat! Thank you as well for having one of my favorite YouTube channels that allowed me to know there was a farmers market in beautiful Ithaca!
MoreAbsolutely loved this farmers market. Its in a nice area by the water and by a biking/walking path. There were a good amount of vendors with vegetables, protein, clothing, plants, art, etc. Theres also lots of food options that were all delicious.
MoreOne of the best farmers markets! People are very nice and friendly! So many good things! Great food! A lot of fresh products! Lots of great souvenirs and gifts you can find here. Definitely worth to stop by and enjoy the time here!
MoreI love this Farmers Market, probably one of the best Ive been to in a while. It has a lot of options for vendors, you can grab breakfast/lunch there while shopping. They always have a great selection so be prepared to spend money! Its worth it!
MoreGreat market. Everything is locally sourced. Food, baked goods, fresh vegetables and fruit, plants and shirts, wines, all sorts of stuff.
MoreThe Cambodian food stall is really good. Asempe kitchen (on Sunday onlyand mango sticky rice at the Thai stall is good too. I buy chocolate milk every week from crosswinds farm and creamery and occasionally get the maple syrup to make an Indian dessert.
MoreSuch a lovely market, lots of cool food & goodies! Also amazing spot right by the water with plenty of benches. Definitely in must while in Ithaca:)
MoreOne of the coolest farmers markets in this part of the state. Though it’s all outside, it is totally covered so it’s shaded and not as hot in the summer months. The wooden structure that covers the market area is kind of rustic and picturesque, too.Every stand here is a local producer, not a reseller, so it’s all a unique selection.
MoreTons of great vendors!Stop and see Pete @ Just a Few Acres Farm! He is a YouTuber and small farmer who sells his meats and eggs. The Italian sausage is amazing.I would recommend you get there before it opens to get parking. It gets really busy.
MoreGreat market with plenty of artists and farmers from the area. Try the breakfast burritos. No one has photos because they’re so good, everyone eats them too quickly. The small and large are different in that the large has black beans. That said, it taste amazing without them so the black beans aren’t a must.Be sure to grab a few postcards or letters from the artist shops. Snag a maple candy from the maple syrup stand. Most of all, relax, take your time, and enjoy the easy morning.
MoreKhmer-Angkor Cambodian Food. All you need to know. Worth the wait, food is INSANE!
MoreWhat an amazing community of people! They love to share their history and their crafts. Parking is a little hectic so get there early! We are visiting the Finger Lakes from Scranton PA and this was a nice break from our urban environment. Cant wait to come back!
MoreParking was a bit of a challenge but totally worth the effort. Every produce vendor had amazing products and there was even a bunch of choices for yummy prepared food. We munched our way around the space while buying beautiful veggies.
MoreWhat a wonderful experience I am very grateful, I hope to return soon....
So cute! Great selection of vendors. I got coffee at Forty Roasters, vegetables from various stands, and breakfast pastries. very pleased to make this a part of my weekly routine :)
MoreThe most charming farmers market I have ever been. Located near a nice little lake, live acoustic music, interesting variety of products and food (like, Cambodian, etc). Only complaint is the parking situation, but well worth the hassle.
MoreI have loved going to the Ithaca Farmers Market since I was little. Everytime I visit the area, it’s a must to visit this place. Parking can be very difficult so plan to arrive early or walk a bit. They have so many food, drink, plant, clothes, jewelry, soap vendors here so there’s something for everyone. Everything here is locally made and sourced and fresh. Love it so much!
MoreIts a great big farmers market, with very nice food and views of the river
Great place for gourmet foods but parking is limited. Best to arrive early.
Great vibe, great food, good people. Only problem is parking. One tip: if you notice traffic backed up until Aldis then just turn around and find parking elsewhere because its gonna take you at least 15more mins to even reach the parking lot and goodness knows how much longer to actually score a spot.
MoreAte at "Khmer Angkor Cambodian Food", on the North end end of the curved stall area. What a disappointment. Same price as other stalls, but you got a few "Droplets of meat" on top. I never saw this before--ever! Couldnt have had 1oz of meat. The rest was vegetables. Should be calling their meat dishes "Vegetarian". I felt ripped.
MoreA great place for local food, plants, and products. Its next to the lake with a great view so its a nice way to spend an hour or two on a Saturday or Sunday. Dogs are not allowed in the pavilion though.
MoreAmazing selection of local craft vendors in an amazing location near the street. If its your first time, save room for lunch and make sure you look at all the booths before you decide. Blueberry wine, pita sandwiches, jerk chicken and crepes were awesome.
MoreIt happened to be a half way point between a lady I met online and she suggested it. I was amazed at the whole venue, great 1st date place, we had Asian food, it was awesome! Crafts and art like a gallery mixed in with farmers beautiful veggies, gorgeous plants (we bought sometasted wine and found the Best blueberry wine and brandy, (we had to buy somewe sat and watched, nice people out with their dogs, little music was being made, it is way more popular than parking allows, Aldis wishes you not to take their parking but,,, one way in and out you go, long wait at the light since you are getting on a main 2 lane,, oh and people will block all the traffic waiting for someone to get picked up. So plan for it
MoreThis under cover but open-air farmers market is located on beautiful lake Cayuga. The market provides much beyond fresh fruit and vegetables--gourmet bottled sauces, cider, wine, cheese, natural cosmetics, crafts and more. There are also many options for lunch and good coffee.
MoreReally lovely farmers market, definitly digging all the vendors and the vibe throughout. I wish I remember the two vendors I really liked. It was a bread merchant and an older gentleman who brewed his own brandy and one....try OOPS brandy if you get a chance. YUMMMMm!However, the worst live band Ive ever listened to was here and definitely made me leave early because it was just so unbearably bad.
MoreNeat place for fresh, local food. Great selection of different foods and handmade items. Went on a Sunday and it wasnt very crowded. A beautiful setting right on the water.
MoreThis place is so charming. I adore visiting every time I am in Ithaca on the weekends. This isn’t like your typical farmers market, but rather it’s an adorable experience with more arts/crafts instead of a no-frills produce market. There’s often live music by the water, and you can stroll for hours and get an incredible lunch or coffee at one of the vendors. A must-do for people visiting the area. Downsides could be the parking (gets full fastand the prices are a little higher than what most people would expect from a farmers market, but, for me, it doesn’t detract.
MoreGreat market! Theere ate many different vendors for foods and other items. Lots of seating spaces on the waterfront. Free tap for your reusable water bottles is available as well.
MoreExcellent farmers market with a wide variety of products, live music when I visited. Beautiful setting with seating along the water etc... I have included a ~2min video walkthrough you can view in Google maps.
MoreSuch a nice farmers market. Quite a variety of bakers, vegetable vendors, and other local makers of delicious things. Very well organized, everyone was so friendly; it made for a delightful experience. We picked up some goodies to take home as well as enjoyed breakfast by the lake in the back. Loved that there was parking and it wasnt a hunt. We managed to make it right at 9am. Those arriving after us had a longer wait for parking but nothing out of control.
MoreGreat food and lots of cool vendors! Stopped in on our trip and wish we were able to buy more. Our airbnb hostess told us about it and we are glad we were able to go!
MoreIt was not huge huge size but still fun to visit with friends amd/or family!Variety of products with freshy and yummy food! We tried Cambodian food there, veggie fries (3/5and spicy curry based chicken with lemongrass (4/5). Also we bought some maple syrup and cotton candy (5/5)!
MoreNice relaxing vibe with lots of great local produce and unique finds, plus a variety of international foods including Cambodian, West African, Thai, Indian samosas, crepes, gyros, handpies, and burritos...and amazing homemade ice cream with freshmade waffle cones! Highly recommend!
MoreI never comment or review much ...But Ithaca Farmers Market (the Venueis absolutely the best venue Ive ever been to. Ive lived in Hawaii and this is still 3-7x more stellar and magical.Oh my goodness.
MoreThe Ithaca Farmer’s Market is ALWAYS an event as there are children’s activities (puppet shows, book readings), live music from local bands, Cornell University and Ithaca College Crew races, and TONS of ethnic foods, fresh produce, organic meats, artisan wines/liquors, artisan wood working, artisan clothing, it goes on and on. There are cash machines on site if needed, parking is free and easily available. Each booth is different in how they do their transactions but most will now use cash, credit, and e-pay systems (e.g. Apple Pay).
MoreIt was a good Farmers Market. You can find a little bit of everything. The multi ethnic food was great. The bread lady had foccaia to die for.
MoreIts not a huge market but have a lot of variety. Beautiful farmers market with fresh high quality produce. Prices were bit of the higher side but quality of produce is top notch as well.We got some honey, soaps and bread. Wanted to get more things but market closed at 3pm.Parking is ample upfront but it was raining and it got all really muddy.
MoreFarmers Markets are one of my favorite places to be. Every time I travel I visit the ones I can. The Ithaca Farmers Market is a very special one. A great variety of vendors. A beautiful location too. A must go to suport local farms and the local economy overall. You can feel the unity of the community
Moreamazing farmers market! Wonderful vibes! Everything is thoughtfully arranged. The stalls were well stocked with desirable products like lemonade, soba noodles, momo, empanadas. The vendors are friendly. The atmosphere is super chillaxing. There’s even a musician performing for all to enjoy. A must visit!
MoreThis is an extremely well-done farmers market! I am a transplant from California and was pleasantly surprised with how much this place reminded me of home. The vendors are friendly, the selection is great, and there is a good mix of groceries, prepared goods, and craftsmanship. A lot of the vendors only accept cash, but theres an ATM on site in case youre caught unprepared. Parking fills up, but theres enough coming and going to make getting a space easy with a little patience.
MoreI couldn’t find what I was looking for (peanut butters.. variety of jams.. pie..however there were a lot of options and foods to try (Cambodian, Tibetan, Vietnamese)…I bought the Chilean empanadas (not sure why when I make good empanadas at home). The lemonade stand and ice mochiato was good. There were a lot of people at the farmers market..
MoreQuite lovely spot by the lake, with a good variety of eastern food and fresh produce. Also, very nice sets of local crafts(wo)men shops. Plants for all sizes, needs and tastes.
MoreOne of the better farmers markets I have been to. Its located on the water. Plenty of parking and plenty of stuff to eat and buy. This place gets slammed by lunch time.
MoreAmazing venue, fresh produce, meat, and dairy. Aggressively mediocre prepared foods from people doing their “take” on foods from other cultures - something got lost along the way (flavor and texture, mostly). I had some delicious ice cream and lemonade as a highlight and would recommend that. My daughter bought a clay ocarina from the nicest man who makes them by hand and he threw in a songbook. I will definitely come back if I am in the area again, it’s worth a visit. Grab an ice cream and go listen to the music on the lake bank!
MoreGot some incredible coffee, croissants, tomatoes, raspberries and an air plant. Well culled/cherry picked group of artisanal vendors. Very much worth the trip! I was there when they opened at 10 and it was PACKED. I actually arrived around 8 and got the best parking spot but went for a scooter ride to pass the time until the vendors were all set up. By the time I got back there were cars lining the surrounding streets for what seemed like miles.
MoreThis place was cute! Locals a bit uptight surrounding COVID but I guess I cannot blame them since the younger crowd is drawn in due to the local colleges and tourists seeking the lake. Very nice small businesses sourcing and selling here. I personally loved all the handmade goods, especially the soaps! They held up COVID restrictions and social distancing and mask wearing. Some vendors didn’t even let you touch their goods unless you were specifically buying that item. Which makes it hard.... how can you commit to buying something when you cannot “look” at it?
MoreWe had heard rumors of the Ithaca farm market since moving to Central New York. Today was the day we got a chance to explore it. Stacked with vendors there was a lot to take in. We found all sorts of things from fresh food to local arts and crafts. We purchased some beef bones for a soup we plan to make. After taking time to look around and purchase a few products we enjoyed a sandwich from one of the vendors. Parking was a little crazy but not enough for me to be disappointed. Do go and enjoy everything they have to offer but be prepared for some parking waits.
