Istmo Brew Pub in Colon

Okay place to hang and chat. The "arañitas" were way too salty. Prices are moderate. Dont like the smoke, but its inevitable.

Pub with billiards. Younger crowd, hard rock. They make their own beer, and its pretty good, but they had a limited selection when I was there. (Saturday 10pm, half capacity. Not expensive. Friendly.

Ive really enjoyed this bar in the past but after the service tonight well think twice before returning. Having watched clients who arrived after us receive their cocktails before our beer... we left.

Employees are alert and willing to help but you have to check your consumption otherwise they will add without letting you know, definitely not recommended, pizzas are average, not that good,...beers are a bit pricy for the quality

Great staff. The wings were delicious cook perfectly. They have several microbrews on tap. Its off the beaten trail which means you get to hang with the locals!

I had a perfect pairing of an IPA and a cigar. Magnifico!

The place was on the road side and well run. Quite empty when I visited. Beer offered either on tap or bottles is nice and the taste is great. Local beers such as Fula are available. The pizza was nicely done and good to taste, the hamburger was full of caramelized onions which hampered the taste but still a good option.

Most of the beers were a bit boring and didnt have much flavor or body. I thought the Coclé (Bockwas the best. Service was friendly though and its nice to find a place in Panamá playing rock and roll instead of reggaeton for a change. Certainly wouldnt be a bad deal to come for the two-for-one beers during happy hour if you want to drink that early.

Great place for lovers of real ale. The tasting tray cantained about eight vastly different beers. Good atmosphere and snacks.

Rustic decoration, enough spacing for it to be comfortable, with a good variety of drinks and entertainment options; the music was excellent, excellent pub to visit without question!

Got "touristed". Ordered "some nacho chips". "We only have with cheese". All right. Got a mountain of nacho chips with cheese för $18. Beer was nice.

Nice place, they have a pool table and a terrace area. Their beers have a really good price-quality relation, I recommend the Colón one, it has a ver soft flavour and the highest alcohol percentage out of all the beers they offer😉

Good beers although the place is outrageously expensive, the service by the waitresses is bad because???? Oh you know young people who feel that maybe the world owes them something. But the worst is that in Panama the tip is voluntary, we the customers tip if we want... if good service/products were provided in a timely manner but not in Istmo. Beware ladies and gentlemen: if youre paying with a card they dont ask you if you want to tip the recommended 10 %, they just add it... no questions asked. Screw that type of service.

Left my hat there two weeks ago; not only did landlord recognise me, he also remembered Id left my hat. And the beer is still ace ....

Ghost town. Been here for an hour and no other customers. 1 person speaks English. 4 beers are brewed here and some are ok. Expensive, $6.50 a pint. Server was more interested in her phone than helping me.

This establishment has a good selection of beers and some decent food to go along with it. The primary downside is that it can be fairly expensive - $8+ dollars for some import beers.

Sorry, gonna be a beer snob. Being from Portland, Oregon, I would expect a place that calls itself a brew pub to serve an IPA. There are two on the menu and neither are made by Istmo Brewing. One wasnt available and the other testad suspiciously like one of the five lagers they have on draft. This isnt really a beer place. The pizza wasnt bad though. Heres a pic of my very pale gold "IPA."

Nice amber ale. Try the samples to find your favorite. I visited microbreweries in Bocas del Toro and Boquete too. Al of them serve fine beers...

Go here every time Im in panama. One of the few places with microbrews in the country, so I guess that means its one of the best, right? I believe they have four different styles, not sure on the ABV%They have good food too, so make sure to get some of their appetizers, they are worth it. Great place to go hang out and have a few drinks in the evening

Upon arrival, our server presented us with a sample of each of their house beers. She was very kind and attentive, and patient with my limited Spanish. The beer and food were very good, and the seating outside was quite pleasant.
