For me a no-brainer. The best indonesian food restaurant in The Hague. Wide variety of things and really tasty.

We tried Indonesian food for the first time and we really enjoyed the vegetarian menu! The food was special, with different spices and from very good quality. Service was fast and friendly, prices are fair.

Very nice food, they also serve pork which is a pleasant surprise for me ! The mango sparkling drink is top notch ! Satay mix is awesome !

We just had an awesome delicious meal at instana.We ordered Opor Ayam Kuning (Chicken in coconut sauce), Soto Ayam (Soupand Longtong (glued rice). The prices are very good!The service was so nice and the food came fast.Clear recommendation, when you are in Den Haag Chinatown.Thank you instana

Definitely the place to get good Indonesian food. I especially liked the Ikan penyet. Nice ambiance, good service and not expensive at all.

An unexpected change of plans led us here. 5-Stars for serendipity and delicious, lovely food. Our TEENAGE sons had their first rijsttafel. They would not stop eating and they want to come back ASAP, like Sunday. Hats off to our new favorite restaurant in Den Haag. HEEL LEKKER!!!

Really tasty food, full of flavor and colors. Ambiance is great too. Not cheap, but youll get quality.

Absolutely wonderful food. The service was excellent. I had the shrimp parcels to start which were well filled, crispy and light on oil. For mains I ordered the prawns which were coated in a shrimp garlic paste and sauteed veg, flavours were incredible. What surprised me the most was the tofu curry which came in a coconut sauce, this coupled with the spicy fried rice was the perfect combination. I would definitely come back here again as the small plate selection is very large and all look so appealing.

Ive come here several times - with my wife and now with my friends - and I always find their food super delicious. I could easily recommend a the dishes Ive tried so far, but if youre a meat lover, maybe you should try the meat plate - for two ppl. If you like meat and fish, go for the meat & fish plate. Youll get a very lovely mixture of all kinds of fried and stewed meat (and fishdishes in different sauces and spices, pickled stuff and rice or noodles.For me, this place was the real introduction to Indonesian food. Something new and exotic to my taste buds. And they never cease to impress me.Also the the service is super friendly and professional.

Very tasty food although it seems the portions are slightly small. Would maybe consider it slightly overpriced. We were also disappointed with the time it took to serve (over one hour).

Extremly expensive for really small portions.We asked for tap water but they brought bottle water instead and bottles were open so we couldn’t send them back so get charged 7.50 for 3 bottles.And then 1.5 for tap water.1.5 for a -literally- one teaspoon sambal.I mentioned and confırmed my food needs to be vegan at least 3 times but still found whole egg in my plate. After this experience I thought at least we will get water charges get off from our bill as an apology (that’s what I do as a person who works in service industrybut nope. Super overrated, overpriced and never again.

This restaurant offer a great concept of Indonesia food, so tasty and full of spice . And the staff are very polite and quick.We order meat and vis rice table, the many favour blended perfectly, each dishes have it own taste, some are spicy but just taste too good.

Really enjoyed this place. Friendly employees, nice cozy sitting arrangements. The waitress answered so many of our questions regarding the area, food, what to do as tourist etc.Food was really good, extremely tasty. Well made and served.We have ordered the rice rable and it was too much for three people. We could try different dishes. Specially I loved all the beef dishes a lot.Definitely recommended.

We ordered food to go since we wanted to dining anywhere indoors, the food was still nice and warm when we got back. We had the Babi Pangang, Daging Roedjak, Sayur Lodeh, Nasi Goreng Djawa and Bami Goreng. It was also surprisingly good for a random restaurant that I went into, we ended up getting food from here 2x in a row. Will definitely go back again if we are near! Especially for a quick take out meal to the beach, the fried rice was cheap and good! Fried noodles was a littttle on the oily side but just as good!

Food was good, the waiter was nice. However, in spite of repeatedly (!telling the waitress that she charged us the wrong rice dish on the bill (fried rice instead of the white rice we’d ordered), she REFUSED to change it and just kept the bill wrong on purpose. My boyfriend who was paying at the counter didn’t notice and thought she’d already corrected it. That was a pretty low move - lying and being all sneaky for one more euro? Won’t be coming back for sure.

Plenty of varieties - a great choice for everyone.The service was absolutely the best we had during our Netherlands trip.Absolutely recommended!!!

I am taking a break from eating to write this review because this place is just amazing! Some of the greatest spiced food I have had in my life, and as a Asian, I dont say it a lot! Absolutely tasty, yummy, heavenly! The service and the atmosphere just makes the experience unmatched!

Really nice restaurant, post covid so due to the distancing of is not as cozy as it could be.Food was excellent thou. It was our first Indonesian and we loved what we got. The staff was so friendly. Beware the menu is only in dutch (if you are visiting from abroadbut we used a translation app to understand it. Still very nice experience.

Great food and very nice service. Food seemed authentic and came out pretty quickly. Can do smaller plates and share a lot of dishes or do larger plates on your own. Also has some good spicy dishes. Would definately come back again!

We went twice since it changed hands in July 2019. First time the food was really great, tasty, flavoursome, the crispy duck was very good. Second time maybe a different chef, the spring rolls had more generic curry than Indonesian flavours, and the mains underwhelming. Maybe when the settle into consistency, the staff are nice.

The food here is really something special. On the mixed plate each meat has a different and unique flavor. Each flavor is really vibrant. The chili sauce brings spice, the fried rice is perfect and not too oily. Drinks are good, ambience is nice and waiters are friendly.

Excellent spot, recommended are the many variations of small chicken, pork or beef dishes - dumplings, in peanut sauce or others - order a wide selection of different small dishes and some rice and you will have such a fun, pleasant and tasty experience!Very tasty, very reasonably priced, great interior and many happy faces of the other diners.
