A cluster of historic buildings, including a church, barn & windmill, re-creates a bygone lifestyle.
A splendid park packed with history
Love the open space, and the apple festival. Stop fun to Play frisbee, pokestops, soccer, RC vehicles, fly kites, catch. Great open area space. I’ve seen many photoshoots taken there also.
The entertainment was good had fun,
Beautiful place for photo opps
Beautiful!
Nice small suburban space. Was there for Apple Fair this October 2022. Some historic buildings.
Nice park. Very good farmers market with some good products.
My fiance and I had a bridal shoot for our upcoming wedding. The whole area was the perfect look for what we envisioned. I cant wait to see the final proofs. This would also be a great date spot for picnics. Dog friendly. I didnt see any bathrooms in the area we were in. But still very peaceful and pretty.
I havent been there.
Love the Farmers market !!
Pickleball lines are now on 2 of the 6 tennis courts. Nice place to play. Hopefully they add lines to the 3rd court soon!
Great atmosphere, first time in the park using tennis courts.
Wonderful place to take dogs, everyone there is always friendly
Great field to run around with the kids. Totally new playground for the kids
Went to the farmers market there and picked up some local products from the vendors there.
Supposed to go to the Apple Festival today. But Town of Islip cancelled the event. I did get a nice bottle of wine from Wine u Design.
Islip grange park is a great park with huge grassy fields and the occasional flea market located inside of the parks lower area near main street heading south on broadway , it also includes a farmers market. Also a seafood restaurant right across the street with some of Long Islands best seafood !!
Nice little park. Great with the farmers market
I love this place for family photos and the farmer’s market is awesome!
Best Farmsrs Market on Long Island... Saturdays 9-2pm
The Sayville Farmers Market is here every Saturday 9am.
One of my favorite spots on long Island
Its a bummer that after 2 months the Islip town parks dept still hasnt completed the tennis courts renovation, only 3 courts available out of 6.
Very nice, open and plenty of great places to take pictures.
Well lets start with *oogle tracking..Im in towing so at 2:30 am while Im near this location. Im winching a car off a telephone pole with electrical wires all around me. In the dark , AND *OOGLE WANTS ME TO REVIEW "THE GRANGE" HAHAHAHAHA
We went for the Saturday farm stand. The booths are very spread out for covid safe shopping.
Now that I had Google fix this address, all is fine. A very busy place for weddings. Absolutely beautiful. So many very old buildings
Historic buildings, farmers market and a wedding in progress at the old church. . All on a sunny Saturday in October #ScenebyNorm
I go with my Sweets and walk his dog. I love when we play catch too. Swing set YeY!!!
Beautiful day for walk. All dog walkers there today. My pup likes it.
Spend some time getting to know your local history. Outside of the Apple Festival, Farmers market and other community events, Ive taken the kids to the civil war reenactment, sledding in the winter, etc.
This is a nice quiet place to walk my dog. We have also been here for festivals and farmers markets.
This is a cute little park right up along Montauk hwy. It has a nice field to play in and bring your kids. Its a pretty basic park, but great place to bring the dog and the kids to hang out and play in the park. Its right by a friends house, so its a great place to just chill hang out and unwind.
If you are looking for quiet, serene and an oasis away from the hustle and bustle, this is it.It feels like the world literally stops here, and you are back in time. Enjoy the sights and scenes as well as the calming walk. The
A nice and small piece of Long Island history from around the Civil War Era.
Tennis courts are serious need of repairs, maintenance and paint its been years for paint alone. Its completely worn off certain spots. Lighting works well.
Interesting historical site with old buildings. They also have very nice farmers markets and other event throughout the year.
Beautiful place to walk around and enjoy the scenery and some historic buildings
Members of the Bayport Aerodrome Society (BASwere at The Grange 06-08-19 with an SE5 aircraft scale model which was a popular photo opportunity for lots of inspired children and their parents and grandparents.
Nice local park. Some town events and carnivals take place here.
The collection of buildings were not all originally here. Like Bethpage Restoration Village they were saved and relocated here. It is a kind of museum you may not usually find anywhere else. Bethpage however, is more to my liking where you will find people in period garb performing daily tasks. I have not experienced this at Islip Grange. My experience was to look at the exterior of the buildings. Yeah, its a thrill a minute. Not really. This place could be so much more. There should be docents to interpret Long Island history for visitors and students.
I rate this 4 stars, because i believe it is under developed. I wish there were better family fun options for that park and a better used space for teens to do something constructive instead of hanging out in front of stores in Sayville
Nice park with handball courts baseball fields and a play set with swings and slides. There is also an old village with houses from different time periods and a small windmill.
Football and baseball fields as well as handball and paddle ball. Little kiddie area. Renaissance players on some weekends.
Great public sports complex but sad how its being ignored by the town of sayville/Islip. 6 Tennis courts but theyre not being taken care of, they need to be resurfaced and court-nets need to be changed. Residents pay thousands of dollars in taxes every year, they deserve better than this
HOME OF THE APPLE FESTIVALThis is a great park year round, I have been attending the AF here for a long time..Held in October, the 2017 Festival was the Best! The weather cooperated and was warm and everyone came out for the Food- and Rides for the kids..I love the Fall and enjoy the Vendors and the inspiration of their crafts..back in the early 90s I was a vendor, selling floral designs and baskets..and the Charm of Long Island Festival season has not withered within me.. I credit the vendors for their participation, because they show up- rain or shine. TY Town of Islip for a great show
Lots of open spaces and some cool architecture at one end with a sports field and a playground at the other.
Nice open area with a park for the kids..sport courts and athletic fields.Fairs often held on the grounds.
Some of the oldest remaining homes, a barn, and a small church from the Sayville area were brought here to be preserved about 40 years ago. Quiet walks can be taken almost any day. Saturdays there is usually a "Farmers Market" (Curiously, just about impossible to buy farm fresh fruit or vegetables there).
Really cute park but I wish the concession stand had been open at the time
