clean comfortable lovely outlook, would highly recommend this to stay.
Lovely stay at the Island Palms. Communications throughout the booking process and stay were excellent and I would certainly stay again if visiting Forster. Thanks for a nice stay, Gayle!
Near major shops. Lovely clean bathrooms etc, Close to clubs and pubs. Great rooms. Auto check in bit difficult but staff helpful and friendly.
Nice place to stay, mattress was a bit firm but apart from that nice, close to shops and pub, the Lovely lady in reception is wonderful
We have stayed in this motel twice for work trip. The first time we stayed the room was average (closer to reception areaand the bathroom was okay but very outdated (photos attached). The second time we stayed in room 23 which was alot better and the bathroom was usable and nice (as shown in photos). Free wifi is convenient and its close to stocklands. Although carpet had a few stains.
Meets the most relevant criteria for a motel, Clean and comfortable.
Well equipped, spacious, modern& clean. Very impressed!
We made a very late booking for 5 nights over Easter and normally we would stay in accommodation like the Novotel or Mantra chains this motel was one of the few left with a vacancy. We were up here to see my husbands mum who had just been put into a nursing home. Then we arrived the 24 hour check in was so easy and the surprise we got when entering our room - it was very spacious very clean and the bathroom had a massive round bathtub that my husband and I could both soak in together which we really needed to do.The room had a stone topped dining table, stone topped bedside tables very comfortable chairs and comfy bed and pillowsTo top it off a microwave, toaster and fridge, plenty of coffee and the bathroom shampoo and conditioner had a lovely scentWe were so surprised we thought we would just be putting our heads on pillows, but this room was larger than most motels, the housemaids were very accommodating, friendly and did a great jobThe price of this room was really economical, the Chinese meals at lakeside tavern were fantastic, we ate there a lot!!!We will definitely stay here again, we were so happy, we don’t leave until tomorrow and we could highly recommend staying here
We stayed in room 28 and it met our needs, being clean quiet and comfortable. The room was also spacious and had a nice view of green space. There is a small private sitting area outside directly outside the glass sliding door.We took up the breakfast option and enjoyed fried eggs and bacon on toast and added a hash brown. The meals was delicious and ample - we skipped lunch. This room does not have disability facilities but the hotel does have rooms for those who require disabled facilities.
I’ve never written a review ever, but I feel the experience is just too poor not to. Me and my partner had to travel late from Sydney and knew we needed to check in via the Check In Kiosk. We were having trouble doing so and rang the night bell and the first words we heard were “Sorry we can’t help you” after explaining we’d already paid for the 2 x nights over the phone the lady advised we must have insufficient funds. Again, we advised all three cards had more than enough for the security deposit. We got a call back from “Gayle” after realising our mistake and advised we no longer needed assistance to then another awful reply of “I wish you’d worked that out before calling me” (isn’t the point of a help button…. To get help?then we got hung up on. We left the next morning around 8:30am for a sport tournament expecting the room to be made up once we got back and unfortunately it was not. We called to ask for some fresh towels and again was insulted because we did not display the “please make up room” sign on the back of the “please do not disturb” sign. Initially my partner and I travel around a lot and generally don’t come across a “please make up room” sign therefore we were not aware this needed to be put out. Again we just wanted fresh towels and to be done with it. Woke up around 11pm that night with 2 police officers shining lights on my partner and I’s face asking for a person by a different name. Will never EVER be back at this accomodation.
nice room, big shower, very comfortable bed. have to plug key in doorside module for anything to work
Clean, good beds, nice green belt behind. Tv poor...no foxtel.Wifi terrible. Why do motels go for a cheap broadband option. The kids will find you out, believe me.
Worst place, would never go back! I left my daughters baby lounger in one of those rooms. Spoke to the manager Billie the next day to arrange to pick it up on our way home from holidays. Spoke with Billie at least 3 times over my holidays to arrange collection. Today a family member went to collect it and it’s not there. When I called and spoke to Billie he accused me of lying that the item wasn’t even left there and says they take no responsibility for what the cleaners take and refused to help me.I told Billie I’d be writing this review, he then threatened that I “would be blacklisted from all other accommodation”
Billy was super helpful and their SMSes are convenient and simple. Very spacious and clean room, good price and convenient location. 24hr check in a huge plus ~ thank you
Really beautiful place to stay, lovely rooms, nice pool, really friendly helpful staff, right across the road from main shopping centre. Really handy location.Would recommend to anyone
Always nice to stay at this motel. Very friendly and nothing is a problem
I gauge my rating by the way I am treated. Hence, why Ill never stay at Island Palms Motor Inn again for the following reasons:1I arrived after several hours of driving from Western Sydney, I found no one at the office in one corner at the front. I noticed across the way another office and no one was there as well. Until a lady, staff member (the only one I saw throughout my stay I saw and met on Saturday 12th June 2021 @ 12pm, she just looked at, not bothered to greet me, not smiling, not welcoming whatsoever. Will it hurt to smile? Will it be too distracting to say "Good Afternoon" to a PAYING customer? Instead the first thing that came out of her mouth was "You cant check in until 2pm"2There is no wi-fi even though one of their main marketed feature was free wi-fi. My daughter needed it to do a school assignment. We rang customer service and she said that Telstra was working on the cell tower and wont finish until 6pm. It was 8pm and still no service. I spoke to other tenants and they had to use their mobile service.I really dont appreciate being lied to. Customers are not dumb and are resourceful and can spot being deceived. The room (for family of 4was small, no separate tap for water to boil and so we had to use the bathroom tap for that and also to wash the utensils. TV was small than what other motels provide. The only memorable benefit or convenience is that the motel is a short walk to Stockland Shopping Centre. All this... (of the lack of itfor $430 for 2 nights. Upon the automated check-in, sliding my debit card, I was pended $100aud which took only 11 seconds to deduct, which is funds that I cannot use for my weekend away. Then on checkout, it took 11 days for the $100aud to be released. The effort just wasnt there for me to enjoy my stay. Ill never return to Island Palms Motor Inn.
I stayed with family on 6th JuneHave been charged twiceNobody bother to refund after multiple calls and emailsReally annoying that I m still waiting for my refund
Great accommodation rooms that are well looked after. Main reception facilities are looking tired and dated
We have stayed before, super accommodating and friendly. Our situation changed due to a sick toddler but lisa is an absolute pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend.
Its spacious and nice for at the bargain price. But do not make loud noise , next rooms can hear !
Nice & clean. Pool was very shallow. A bit dissappointing. It was only 1 metre deep.
These guys were saviours!! I am deaf and rely on cochlear implants and also a small service dog - having been turned away at 9pm at night by another pre-booked motel and left stranded these guys (and the local policecame to my rescue and I cant thank them enough.Additionally the Motor Inn itself was very clean and tidy with spacious rooms and the bed and pillows were super comfy. Definitely where I would stay again when back in Forster and highly recommend it.Thanks guys Rhonda (& Bailey)
Really good size standard room with super comfy king size bed, Room was was clean with all you need to relax . 3min walk to shopping centre and hosts were a pleasure to deal with, Will definitely be back .
Clean and comfortable, balcony door was broken and wouldnt slide in our room but overall a nice place to stay.
Stayed in the spa room. Was very outdated, in urgent need of updating! The spa was a bit worn out with scratches and paint peeling in the tub, which I didn’t use in the end. Think blue grade movie set if you get my drift? The upside was that it was clean and quiet and the staff were friendly.
Great place to stay. Really comfy and rooms are really quiet you cant hear other guests next door.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! The place was was very clean and well kept. Perfect for families!! Gallery and Billy were wonderful hosts!!! We will be back again :)
Great place to stay if you have a younger child. Nice pool and a good place for motorists. The privacy is great even being close with other residents. Rooms were very clean and better than expected; as bedrooms had a wall in between. Beautiful place for a cheap, good time!
Very comfortable, clean, friendly owners. Walking distance to shops. Close to beaches, restaurants and attractions
Blankets, not doonas. Well appointed, clean, tidy, friendly staff. TV only, no cable/DVD, just BYO USB with entertainment (or VGA, HDMI). Room equipped with microwave etc. and good price. But thin walled, so sound is a big problem. Ocean sound is OK but not neighbours (indoors and outsideand not dracaena trees rubbing on the fence squeaking all night.
Really enjoyed out two night stay apart from them declining our request to tidy our room after the first night because of coronavirus worries for their staff. Was a little out of town but quiet, the bed and room were comfortable but just across the road from Stocklands.
My room was very clean, well appointed and extremely well priced. Already booked for another stop over whilst going up the coast. Real close to supermarket, KFC and a tavern. (One day soon hopefully I can actually go into it)The Automatic Check in Kiosk is a bonus.
Lovely accommodation, comfy bed and good sized shower. Added option of brekkie is a plus. Central location to the shops like Woolworths and the supercentre. Will definitely stay again. Thanks for a very enjoyable stay :)
Due to evacuation with the fires we had to find a place very quickly and this hotel was fabulous. Clean rooms and great guy running the place at reception. Highly recommended.
The first room that was offered to us was dirty and out dated the colour pink made me want to vomit I asked to change rooms and the reception was very pleasant he offered another room that was average, only given the bare minimum and had to ask reception for wine classes. When weighing up the cost and the experience, we could have gotten a lot better for the price. The photos on the website dont give a true perspective of what you are getting
The room was dirty .. crumbs on benches an table from previous guest fridge had mould in it an the coffee cups were dirty an used .. shower was mouldy an spa was also dirty with previous guest medication on the ground .. yes was budget but gee the cleanliness was discussing
Functional family room, okay to our needs and okay value for money, although it surely needs refreshing. Tap in the bathroom leaked heavily and needed Herculean force to be shut, must have been ongoing for a while. Convenient 24-hour automated check in and for once in our many motel experience... the wireless internet (free of chargeworked reliably!! (Hence the 4 stars, no matter what they say 8 motels out of 10 have some sort of problems with the WiFi connection, not this one!)
Reasonable Accommodation for a reasonable price, like most of the accommodation in Forster its an 80s motor inn so it is what it is definitely not for a long stay with a young family. Was clean and tidy and definitely not outdated inside
Excellent budget motel. Stayed 15th to 17th March, 2019. Very clean, comfortable and accessible for senior using a walking stick. Staff lovely and helpful. Great outlook with back sliding glass door of room opening onto a private patio with view of bushland. Lots of birds to watch and enjoy. Very close to major shopping centre and near enough to town centre, tourist attractions and beaches to make visiting easy. This was third visit over 12 years for my husband and I and well definitely keep returning.
Room catered for a family of five. Was clean and comfortable with minimal traffic noise. Woolworths shopping center less than 200m away if you need antthing
The back sliding door lock was broken and a piece of wood put behind it instead. No microwave in room however the room was comfortable and very clean. The lady at desk was very friendly. A short drive to town or walking distance to a shopping centre.
I liked it. To get away for a few days. But the Restaurant Im toldisnt open anymore you have to go to the Tavern next door.If I wanted to go to a tavern, I would have booked in atthe Tavern.
Overpriced, needs renovations badly.Small room at $94 per night I stayed two nights, non school holidays too. Two cold nights , air conditioner/ heating( oldwas very loud on through the night and too cold to turn it off...no sleep for 2 nights. Needs painting, new carpet, exit mould for the bathroom. The rooms in the photos are very decieving . Not worth the price I paid ...very basic! Overcharged at that!! Not a good experience!
EW I JUST FOUND ORANGE COLOURED HAIR ON THE SHOWER WALL, NO ONE STAYING WITH ME HAS ORANGE HAIR!! So unhygienic, proves they dont clean very well. Otherwise great service and amenities but I wouldnt think about staying again
A very comfortable motel with the friendliest staff of any motel I have stayed in anywhere across Australia. Its worth staying there, just for the amazing omelette that is available at breakfast. Plenty of parking and all rooms are on the ground.
Sorry we were NOT happy with our stay at the hotel. The Room smelt funny the Fan to the bathroom was connected to the light switch was so noisey. The main light switch was broken very dangerous. There was water pipe hammer each morning at 5/30 am could not sleep after that. Sorry but best rating . 3 out of 10
Loved the pool, large room & large sliding doors - although needed some RP7 or the like to slide. Bathroom dated and needed renovating. Air conditioner way too small for such a large room - spent a very hot night there.
As good as you will find for a low cost motel. Friendly reception and made it easy for us to arrive after normal hours. The do the little extras too like plenty of towels, soaps, coffee etc well. Its also in easy range of the beaches which is likely why your up in Foster! Would recommend.
A very enjoyable stay for the price I paid! Really friendly staff, yummy dinner & breakfast, plus the best nights sleep Ive had in ages. Free wifi, too! Great value.
