Unpretentious Mexican eatery offering hearty platters of homestyle fare like enchiladas & fajitas.
Good food and a nice atmosphere. The only reason I dont give it a five-star rating is it felt just a tad overpriced. Otherwise, a Mexican restaurant I recommend.
I went on a Thursday night with a group of 8. Another large party was sat in the room where the put us. (They were doing shotsThey were also filling take out deliveries and the other side of the restaurant was BUSY.The waiter was pleasant enough, but clearly slammed, yet experienced. He took our orders, delivered our drinks and later our food. After a while he silently distributed boxes shortly followed by our bills. I do believe he asked part of the table if they wanted anything else. And then we filed out. I would love to come again with just my husband and son and see if that changes the feeling. My cocktail was good. My food was ok. I ordered off the vegetarian menu. (Vegetarian burrito Mexicana). I might order meat next time (my husband always says it isnt fair to judge a Mexican restaurant on their veggies meals. I disagree).
Fantastic staff and probably the best carnitas I’ve ever had. 100% recommend.
If your looking for good, Americanized Mexican food this place is solid. I ordered shrimp enchilada and it was quite good. Came with rice and beans smothered with cheese on a hot plate. Would be four stars but both baskets of chips served at the table were awful. They should have been tossed when they came from the fryer too dark to the point of tasting burned. Shame.
Fajitas are the best in town. Good size meat fresh veggies. It is the place to go
Always have a great experience here …I really enjoy eatting here!
Great food, a lot of food. Stagg is great, my kids love it, affordable. Great place
EXCELLENT!!! was there for a softball tournament so we gave this place a try. Our food was great. The homemade corn tortillas were the best!! Bought a dozen to take home. Staff were friendly and pleasant to talk to.
Food ok - but June 2022 - one seafood enchilada $20 and appeared to have no seafood in it! One lemon drop martini appeared to have little or no vodka $11.75 - add a "shot" of vodka - it was $8.75 so in my opinion nearly $20 (or 2 BOTTLES of vodka for one drink is extremely steep as was the one enchilada that my friend had. My enchilada, burrito taco combo at $20 was good and worth the money. BUT wont be going again - sorry
Entrees are always delicious!! Staff is incredible! A definite place to enjoy with family or friends.
When in Richland, "gotta try the Mexican restaurants" a neighbor once professed. Not so much in this case.Decent interior. There were a few other patrons in the dining room. Not much vibe otherwise. Brenda was very pleasant. We recd our to go styros and returned to the hotel. A lot of food for a lot of price, but unfortunately not a lot of sabor.Best for us to stick to our own home made. Oh well, got to try the Mexican food in Richland.
Friendly serviceTasty food..... homemade tortillas.Yummm.
Best Mexican food in town. You can even request personalized salsa with special peppers like the Carolina Reaper. Damn good salsa. Food is amazing. And get special michelada. Simply Amazing
OMG I love their food and service. Will always go there when I can.
Remarkably delicious food. Mouth watering and reminds me of when I lived in West Los Angeles in the 60s and had great Mexican food!
This was our first time eating at this establishment. We checked the reviews due to we wanted to try a new restaurant. Lo n behold we ordered nachos n it was to come w beans as well. No beans, nacho chips burnt along w the cheese. U could taste the scorched taste on the chips w the cheese. We asked for the jalapeños to be placed on the side. N nope they were spread out over the nachos. We asked the server if he could redue the nachos n we explained what was wrong. He said to us "Why didnt u tell me how u wanted them made." n it was said w a frustrated voice. I was like "Really Mr." I told him ummm we came in expecting ur cook knew how to make a platter of nachos. He takes the plate n storms away. We sat x from the kitchen n could hear him complaining about us to the cook. So unprofessional n this will be the last time we ever return to that place. I dont recommend this facility.
This place is pretty high priced. The average meal is $20-$30 for a combination plate. That’s just ridiculously priced for Mexican food. I had just a beer and a Pina Colada for me and the wife. The bill came out to 28 for just those two items. If I ended up eating at the restaurant it would’ve been over $100 bucks for just the two of us. The chips and salsa were also terrible.
Super duper great. Went for a late lunch, had a steak chimichanga and I couldnt have been happier.
Authentic Mexican cuisine. Large selection and portions! Well worth the prices. Been here several times. Never disappointed.
Right on target for medium priced Mexican food. Really like the more southern flavors too. Of course the margaritas were a little watery and the food was buried in cheese. BTW white monteray jack, goes a long way towards "authentic". Also the guacamole was above average
I have been coming here for ten years. This is my mom and I go to place. The staff is amazing and friendly. They food is exceptional. I have eaten over a dozen items on the menu and never been disappointed. On April 8th,2022 We brought six people in for my birthday. Our food took less than 20 minutes and they were a bit busy. Two of our party had never been there and both were amazed at the food and service. I tell everyone that asks about where to get great Mexican food in Richland to go here.
We dine in for business lunch on a weekly basis. The enchiladas, chimichanga, and fajitas are tasty. Service is prompt, professional but not over bearing.
Food was delicious, but over priced for what little we got. Service was fantastic! Our water glasses never got empty! Very prompt, courteous, friendly and a nice atmosphere!
Absolutely amazing! Sopritos were delicious. I had the Enchiladas; they were fantastic. Im not a fan of rice; theirs changed my mind. It was also delicious and looked too good to stop to get a picture, but trust me, some of the best Ive ever had! The salsa had the perfect amount of kick to go with the warm tortilla chips. I dont know if tortillas (flour or cornare made in-house, but they definitely arent a Sysco tortilla, thats for sure. I also had one soft taco; it was the best taco Ive ever had. The tortilla and the perfectly seasoned beef will definitely have me going back!!!!!
One of our family favorites. Service is amazing the inside is always clean and cozy and everything on their menu taste awesome. Obviously you get the chips and salsa and I personally like the salsa here better than most other Mexican restaurants. I would absolutely give this place a try
Awesome food with good beer on tap big menu. Only complaint is the tortilla chips suck in my opinion
Fast, standard food items, carne asada was just how I like it, beans and rice plain but enjoyable, missed the salsa bar (currently closed due to COVID). Funky fun decor, nice staff, will go again.
40 years and have eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants, this one here in Richland Washington is the only one that I have been to that charged extra on the ticket after replenishing the chips and salsa! I thought it was the weirdest thing. Food was mediocre and carne asada was over cooked. Wouldn’t recommend.
I visited this location for a friends birthday lunch. We had a large group and stayed longer than the average meal while we all were catching up with each other. The food was amazing and I highly recommend getting the banana daiquiri. I would have given four stars but a few of the orders in our group were wrong and the server brought our checks before we were finished instead of asking if we were done.
I love it here. The food is good, prices had to go up do to inflation but still worth it. The servers are always so wonderful and friendly. They must treat their employees well because I see the same people every time Im there. Its my favorite Mexican restaurant in Richland.
Great drinks and food. A little short staffed, but waitresses were awesome anyway!!
Excellent service & DELICIOUS FOOD!😋Their tortillas are made fresh right there too.....ssooooo good! My husband & I enjoyed the BEST steak, shrimp & chicken fajitas Ive had in years! AND their margaritas are yummy too! They have outdoor, patio dining & its "pet friendly" as well!---Perfect choice for a Summer day lunch or dinner!
Generous portions at a low price (including the margaritas!and attentive, friendly staff are definitely the strengths of this restaurant. However, the food is average, but you should know that just by pulling into the parking lot. Regardless, Id go back because mas margaritas is never a bad thing.
The food is great! Drinks were good. But as for all three times Ive been there the service is slow and first come does not mean your going to get waited on first. When we finally did get a waitress she did a good job. I believe the problem is with management not the staff. Wish management would wake up.
Sergio took great care of us. We got there after 8 pm because we were turned away by 3 margaritas. These guys were happy to stay open for us. Food was great. Will be back.
This used to be one of our favorite places to eat. In 2019 you could get 2 entrees and 4 cocktails for around $60. I went today with my fiancé after not being going for a while to enjoy one of our favorite meals. The service was awful, I had to ask them to refill our water and to remove the empty drinks after being oasses by multiple times. The portions have been halved, the tortillas served were quartered, a side of small guacamole for $5.99 and the overall cost was over $90.
One of our favorite spots for traditional full service Mexican food in the Tri-Cities. Theyve simply had better food than the other, more well known, places in the area. Service has been good each time as well, so they earn our repeat visits.
If youre looking for large portions of delicious Mexican fare, Isla Bonita is the place to go! The staff are all very accommodating and do their best to serve you even during busier hours. The vibe I get from the interior is definitely on-point, and theres so much to choose from on the menu.I went with the chimichanga marina - which (for some reasonI thought would be a quick and light bite to eat. For the price, I was surprised at how much food was presented at the table! The sauce used to top the deep-fried goodness was delicious, lending hints of cream, onion, and cheese. The chimichanga itself was stuffed with plenty of shrimp and crab in what seemed to be a tomato-based sauce that paired well with the topping. I was most surprised by the guacamole, which portrayed a smokey flavor that I couldnt quite pinpoint the source. This place is definitely a must try, and is definitely worth more than a single visit!
The food is so delicious and felt so welcomed there 😊😊👍
Nice Mexican place with decent food variety. I have been here twice and ordered their burrito , which is standard tasting one. Their chips and salsa on the table are pretty good and they refill it very efficiently. Altogether a decent Mexican place for a weekend dinner with your family.
Food was delicious, however the service was substandard. No one checked on me after my meal was delivered to the table to see if it was acceptable. No one checked to see if I needed a refill on my drink. I had to flag a server and ask for a to-go box. My check was never delivered so I had to go to the front counter and ask for it and the cashier walked away before I finished signing my charge slip and I was finally forced to leave it upside down under the stapler and hope no one took it before they put it in the till. In short, I was completely ignored after the food was delivered to the table. I will probably never eat there again or take friends there. The restaurant wasnt that busy, it wasnt close to closing - I simply wasnt important enough for even minimal service. Its a shame because the food is very good but I really didnt appreciate being treated like I was invisible. Truly a disappointing experience.
Generic Mexican restaurant with typical entrees. The salsa was pretty decent and had a bit of a bite. I felt that the entrees were a bit under seasoned and lacked flavor. I felt a bit saddened that I would have to pay extra for more salsa and chips. The dining room was a bit dark and could have used more light.
Maybe its just me, but whenever I come its just not a good time. Ive always found the food and service mediocre.A friend said they went a couple weeks ago and had a good taco salad. We decided to go for lunch today. We waited for half an hour and only received water and chips. All the tables seemed to have the same fate as us with lack of service and left with only chips and water.Pretty sure they only had one waitress working during the lunch time. Poor gal, she was clearly trying her best. We left after hearing another couple complaining about their incomplete order. Didnt want to chance lack of service and bad food.Been here about four times and this will probably be my last. I really want to give Isla Bonita a chance because its so close to home but I just cant do it anymore. Sorry.
The best Mexican weve ever had! Every dish was uniquely flavored and not to sound trite but the food really seemed to have been made with love and care. Like home-made. I had the spinach enchiladas and it was splendid. Special mention goes to the freshly made chips and tortillas. The staff was pleasant too. Definitely going back!
The food, the service and the atmosphere were so great! The plates were plentiful with food that tasted like the cook loved their job. The servers constantly checked to make sure we were doing okay. My kids can be a little loud and we still were treated wonderfully by the staff. Well definitely be returning.
Excellent shrimp - not just the seasoning but the full flavor. House platter for two was cooked to perfection. Steak, mushrooms, beans and rice - all excellent! Only complaint was the menu said it came with avocados and we got 2.25 slices. We had to order a side order for 2.99. And sour cream was 1.99.Service was great, if our waitress wasnt available other wait staff were willing to help without an attitude that we werent their table. Great teamwork!
Food was good, if not truly spectacular. Atmosphere was nice, especially with the fireplace lit during lunch hour. The chips and salsa were, honestly the worst Ive ever had in a Mexican restaurant. However, the enchiladas, beans and especially the rice were flavorful. The price was somewhat steep for lunch, I would expect those prices for dinner in this area, but they ought to offer better lunch prices even if it means offering smaller size servings. Service was excellent and attentive.
Great service, comfortable seating, decent Mexican food.
Great service and excellent food! Chips are always warm and the salsa is amazing. Ive tired just about everything on the menu and honestly you cant miss! All of the employees are super friendly and very attentive! If you get to meet the owners theyre real sweethearts also, always willing to make your experience a great one! Cant wait to return 😍🤤
Good service, delicious food, location is a bit odd, dont blink or youll miss the entrance. Shrimp cocktail awesome! Camarones a la diabla HOT!! Dont forget to visit the salsa bar, but be wise as to which one you choose!
