17th-century palace with dungeons, harems & a mosque built in Seljuk, Ottoman & Persian styles.
Beautiful place, and good restaurant besides
Beautiful Castle
İt is an amazing place to visit, very unique, special. I highly recommend to visit there.
Fantastic! Recommend it warmly.
Nice place but a little boring. Loved the view, though
It is a must to pass by this location. Despite the long road from Trabzon, we decided to make a detour of 1h before reaching our final destination Lake Van.Unfortunately I couldnt find more details about other spots around this palace, especially those walls build/carved behind the mosque. It was mentioned that is opened online at 4.25pm, we found it closed! But this astonishing view lets us still enjoy the moment.
Most amazing castle Ive been to in Turkiye! Must visit and the restaurant at the top of the hill is amazing too
I filmed video about this place!Follow me on YouTube. Put "Nikita Dmitriev" in search and you will find it!
Beautiful place, highly recommended to visit. You can afterwards keep going on the road for a picnic and seeing the landscape.
Masterpiece of rigorous work, in short its art. A must to see. Impressive both inside and outside of the palace.
Very interesting building. Great restauration job done.
Outstanding Palace in glorious mountain setting
Beautiful place. You will get lost while wandering all those finely decorated rooms. When we went there it wasnt busy which was also a nice surprise.
An incredible off the beaten track location. Must visit.
Its one of the most beautiful palaces Ive ever visited.
Very nice place to visit with a rich hystorical heritage!
It is a beautiful palace date back to 1685.if you think the time of the buildings it was a very modern palace with heating system, spa, wc ...facilities.However, I found restoration or added upper floor/roof is not matching with its historical past.
Amazing!
Wonderful
On the top ten of Turkey. Incredible.

The palace was closed on Monday morning when I was up there! But from the outside it is very impressive and the location is just amazing!

Magnificent ottoman palace
One of the most beautiful historical place in Doğu Beyazıt. Must visit if you have been in Ağrı. I wish they made better restoration of the palace.
Very amazing to realize that the structure is still looking very original and that people of so many ago had such architectural talent.

Ishak Pasha Palace, one of the most beautiful works of Turkish architectural history, is located in Ağrı. İshak Pasha Palace, which took 99 years to build, attracts great attention from local and foreign tourists.“There is a lake at four thousand two hundred meters on the slope of Mount Ararat, they call it the Küp lake. The lake is the size of a threshing floor. Its very deep. A well, not a lake. All around the lake, namely the mouth of the well, the swivel is surrounded by red, sharp, sparkling rocks like a knife blade. Then the blue of the lake begins. This is a completely different blue...Gülbahar lost Ahmed in Cube Lake. Since that day, those who pass by Küp Lake see Gülbahar sitting on the shore of the lake, with her long black hair flowing like light on her back, her head between her two hands, staring into the deep blue water. Every now and then, Ahmet appears in Gulbahars eyes in the waters of the lake, Gulbahar opens her arms and walks to Ahmed and says, "Ahmet, Ahmet!" he shouts. His voice echoes all over the mountain. The lake boils, Ahmet disappears, Gülbahar disappears, a small white bird comes and dips its wing into the deep blue of the water, and then the black shadow of a horse comes over the water."In his book The Legend of Mount Ararat, Yaşar Kemal describes the epic love between Gülbahar and Ahmed, who could not reunite, in İshak Pasha Palace.
The words are so less to explain this place, the architecture wonderful, so big so much rooms inside, there is a men side and women side, the view from the windows amazing, located in the best area ever, to go there from Doğubayazıt so quickly using taxi with 40 tl, and while coming back you can use minibüs or just hitchhiking 👍 , you can use museum carte if you have, and near it up part coffee shop, when you can sit and watch the view. I would like to come back there, I recommended ❤️
Make you hike around, this place is stunning. @somemenareislands
Really worthy of a visit. We had rain & fog, so not great weather. I must return in a different season. Entry is now 12.50 TL, and it opens at 9am.

Definately worth a visit. Signs are in English as well which was great for us Aussies. We are in a camper decided to stay at a campsite right near the Palace with a great view.
Nice place to visit. 25min with car from Dogubayazit. Good for picnic, tea and coffee of course ☕
Great place to visit and learn about the history of the place.
Great place with a history. Enough information in English, about one hour round trip. Cheap ticket price. Public toilet nearby.
This place must be seen. So cool historical place
Amazing Amazing placeHistorical and A palace and a mosque at the top of the mountain, the road is excellent
One of the few palaces that are still extant from the Ottoman era other than that of Sultans in Istanbul. Builded in the 18th century in near mountain skirts that dominates the large plain, the palace reflects a hybrid architecture that consisting of both European Baroque and Seljuk-Persian influences. A must see attraction in the Eastern Anatolia.
Too much people on weekends. But its worth visiting! Really huge and gorgeous

The view is amazing! Palace itself is mesmerising! You can feel the historical vibe from centuries ago. The doors, walls, windows... this place let you see the culture, the architecture that was protected for years! Its far from the city center but definitely worth visiting.
Amazing place to walk around and check out, huge with many rooms and you won’t get bored. Also go higher up the mountain looking over the palace, views are great
Its beautiful and well repaired. Interesting items together, palace, prisons, yards and bathrooms...I visited on winter 2020 (February 13, 2020in a snowy weather.Thank you to Mr. Ahmet Akman for accompanying me up to there and photos.
I have not enough words to express this place, it is apsolutely unworldly. You have to be there and breate the air, that is all i can say. You look at the remains of this amazing structure and trouble visualizing how is it possible to be more amazing once 🤔
Historical place that should be in the list for tourist in Doğubayazıt. About 10minutes from town. TL7 per head.
The history behind it is incredible. The palace/museum has information all around so a guide isnt needed.
