Isabella Pizza in Philadelphia

I used to like this place but they seem to have a new team every month and theyre closed most of the time. Theyve been closed at least the last two weeks but they still have hours posted... Not sure what happened but Im bummed out this place cant seem to stay open.

Isabella Pizza, 1824 E Passyunk ave. Phila.PA, 19148.. The owners Steve and Linda Martorano are lying, cheating, thieves. They dont like to PAY their employees! Ive now been out of work for a month, (with the promise of pay)waiting for a call back date, because he decided to file a fraudulent insurance claim (i was there when the "fire" took place on 4/30 and heard what lies he told other employees to say for a false police report for insurance purposesand re-do the entire store. I spoke with him last Monday which he stated he would have my 2 checks that Wednesday (text message proofcome Wednesday he said i dont get them because i didnt go in to clean, hmmm pay was NEVER contingent on cleaning. (Im a cashierHe received money for all employees through the insurance and is now trying to back out. He stopped answering me after that but goes through another employee to send such messages. To date he has only given other employees 1 check, they (weshould have received 3 at this point. I previously reported him for what he does to lots of people, he likes to hire undocumented workers, use them to work like dogs for weeks at a time and then fire them and NEVER pays them! So scummy!He also dont like paying people when they quit, in the short time i was there (7monthssooo many people had come in looking for him so they could collect their pay, sometimes months after!He still owes me money for a previous bounced check, which was very common there. I had gone almost a month at one point without a check because they alllll bounced.

Delivery during non-peak hours took almost two hours and our order was wrong. The pasta and the pizzas were way over-cooked. When I called, I spoke to Steve the owner. He said that I must have ordered wrong and gave the wrong address. What?! This guy just doesnt care.

I love their breakfast pizza but for whatever reason they never answer their phones

After 2 years of frustration with one of my favorite places in the city to order from, Isabellas is finally back! The new cooks are great and the food is amazing. Just do yourself a favor and pick it up. Delivery took almost 2 hours and at least youll know everything is good before you leave the restaurant. I really wish they could be as consistent as the beginning of this post was but that was when I picked it up in store.

Not sure what happened to this place. They used to have the best chicken parm sandy in town but the last 2 times we ordered over the last few months the food has been horrible. Seems frozen now, not fresh. Reduced portion size and much more so the quality of the food. It has to be under new management. Will never order from them again. So disappointing.

The fries are so good and so is the pizza ! The employees are also very nice

An hour and half for delivery, food arrived cold, with item missing. And hour and 15 min for replacement item, also arrived cold

I ordered at 6:07pm and it’s currently 8:40pm. We have not received anything & no one is answering the phone. If you wanna waste your time & money then go ahead.

We used to love this place, but something has changed. All of our recent orders have been sub par and in several cases incomplete or just wrong. Our most recent pasta order was the wrong dish in one case and a gloppy mess in the other. When I called to complain I was offered a credit. However when I tried to use the credit a few days later, surprise no credit. To add insult to injury they put the order through as a cash order. We scrambled around to scrap up enough for the delivery guy and a tip. Wasn’t his faultMoving on there are a lot of pizza pasta delivery options in the city.

Got the Mediterranean app which was missing tomatoes and pita. They did offer a new one if we returned this one. The chicken cheese steak hoagie also pictured was missing Mayo but did have a inch think Roma tomato and equally as thick onions. As for taste both were okay, good not great.

Guest Eater Kevin Byrne. Isabella Pizza and Separatist Beer Project are my new favorite Cheesesteak and Brewery pairing. We got the Cheesesteak Bella. Nice big well made cheesesteak with Broccoli Rabe, provolone, roasted peppers and a long hot. Isabella Pizza has an extensive cheesesteak menu. Spearatist beer project has a diverse beer menu. They make a great pair. Everyone should be able to find a favorite beer at Separatist. If you can’t or you drink your way through their entire beer list. Their mixed drinks sounded pretty tasty. Separatist Beer Project was host to the 2021 March Cheesesteak Madness final four.

Food undercooked I called to get it replaced here is what I got. Horrible. All got put in the trash

Very pleased!! i had to revisit to review again..as it is consistently delicious food, Our favs are the pastas so plentiful the gravy aka sauce very tasty.. try the meat sauce etc. steak sandwiches & specialty sandwiches (pork etcare great as are the wings and got to mention the Soup you get with a dinner or entre are just so delicious.. i love the tortellini chicken soup and others veg pasta type and chili.. they really package nicely give u all u need w/utensils napkins cheese bread.. i mean u get a lot for your money.. and check out the hoagies Stromboli and pizza..its one of our top Go To places.. Way to go guys.. always enjoy

If your looking for a great Italian pork sandwich, you have found it!!!! Isabella’s Pizza is by far the best pork sandwich that I’ve found in a LONG TIME!!!! The pork italiano is delicious!!!! Everything is separate containers!!! And bag stapled. I ordered from a guy named Terry and he was wonderful, polite and I Recommend you try this place!! It’s my NEW FAVORITE PLACE!!!!!

Ive been ordering from Isabellas for about 5 months maybe 6 months love the pizza recipe one of my favorite items was the Calamari tried a saute dish and was disappointed didnt get what I ordered no Alfredo sauce in my dish and the last couple time the Calamari has been all stuck together like either not cooking them right or somebodys not breading them right major disappointed...love the pizza but idk about the quality in the other products..???

Wings and pizza were ok, salad was just a $12 bowl of iceberg lettuce, but the hoagie was legit an inedible pile of slime. I wish I had taken a pic before we threw it away I was pretty shocked at how bad it was. Would not try again.

Had a great experience here with my girlfriend. The food arrived quick and the service is just fantastic. Prices are fair.

The WORST wings Ive ever had in my life. I ordered hot wings and they were dry and barely any sauce on them. Very disappointing!!!

I ordered pizza and fries with cheese on the side. The delivery person walked the food to my house with out a warming bag on a frezzing cold day. By the time he got to my house the food was cold and the cheese whiz was ice cold as if it was not warmed up,at all. I called to talk to them and I could hear the owner or manager yelling at the girl who answer the phone. That my food was sent out hot. Yes it may have been but walking hot food on freezing cold day will make hot food cold!! When I asked to speak to him directly he refused to,get on the phone. Ignorant , rude service and cold food!! Do not order from here !!

I hate to give this place a poor star rating because the food is well done, but whoever the manager or the person claiming to be the manager there tonight 11/7/ 2019 was beyond rude. After inquiring about a credit that they offered to place on my account because they ran out of a dessert last week after it had already been charged to my credit card, I was absolutely ok with this credit and was placing a new order but instead was told not to order and was treated rather disgustingly. This is a terrible way to treat customers and I tried to explain several times there had been no food complaint previously made, but I digress. This place should do better with customer service, absolutely despicable the way I was berated.

Chicken tenders beat all options in the area. Pizza is great. Delivery service is on point. 5 stars all around

Average pizza, but cheap and open late. Garbage Texas tommies. They have pink lemonade fountain drinks, which is nice. During the summer, this place gets hotter than an oven.

This is my familys go to place throughout the year for a solid pizza pie that is always good and wont break the bank. Good salads, pasta and sandwiches as well.

I went there just for a slice . Went back to work around the corner. The quality of the pizza was too much for me to focus on work. I had to go back and get large pie .. its a Italian power house.. highly recommend.

After waiting an hour and 48 minutes , My food FINALLY came. The pizza was cold , Cheese was put on the hoagie after being asked not to and they forgot the dressing for my salad. Isabellas used to be my favorite place but I am now beyond dissapointed.

Overall, the pizza was delicious and filling. The crust was not too thin and not too thick, and perfectly cooked. The sauce tasted unique although I prefer a bit more spice in my sauce. Good and efficient service too

I will not go to this place or anywhere else that litters my neighborhood with their menus as a way to advertise. I work hard to keep my block clean. Respect your neighbors.

I think this place is pretty good. The slow deliveries have had a bad impact on their ratings but the food is tasty. Im going to give them 5 stars to make up for it!

the food used to always be so good. now every time i order it’s wrong. they always seem to mess it up just a little bit that it’s not worth it for me to send back but still annoying like wrong cheese on a cheesesteak. i always loved their pizza fries but now they’re just okay and this time there was a long hair in it ☹️

DISGUSTING. MY THIRD TIME GETTING HAIR IN MY FOOD. SHORT HAIR THE FIRST TIME ON BOTH SLICE OF PIZZA. SECOND TIME ON A WRAP. TODAY U GOT A LONG PIECE OF HAIR IN MY PHILLY CHEESESTEAK. THEY ARE SO UNSANITARY. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL UNLESS YOU WANT DIRTY FOOD.

The WORST place to order from!On Saturday afternoon I ordered a saladAfter an hour passed by I called to see if it left.The nasty lady on the phone couldn’t find my order. The next day I ordered a pizza after 1 1/2 hours I called only to find out they had a problem with the oven and if I wanted something else. They should of called me and asked me. Their oven had an issue how I’m I supposed to know this? I cancelled.Never again

THIS IS IS HORRIBLE!!! THEY RECENTLY HAD A MAJOR WATER LEAKING. WATER IN THE CEILING TILES AND YOU CAN SMELL THE MILDEW AND MOLD HAS SET IN! LOOK UP AT THE SOILED TILES AND THE FOOD TASTE OLD AND UF ITS STORED WHERE THERES MOLD! THE PIZZA SIT OUT IN THE OPEN AREA AND RIGHT ABOVE THERES BAD CEILING TILES!! BEHIND THE WHITE FREEZE THATS BACKED UP TO THE COUNTER TO THE FAR RIGHT, THERES TRASH BEHIND THERE!!🤔🤨🤔🤨🤔🤨🤨THAT PLACE IS A MAJOR HEALTH HAZZARD! I made an online order tonight for unbreaded shrimp and curly fries. After waiting an hour, I received chicken wings. I dont even eat meat. I told them I wanted my money back they told me they were closed and asked me what I wanted them to do........Needless to say I am not from the area and have to travel back tomorrow to the location to physically...hopefully... get my money back.

I’ve been here on a few occasions for lunch, the staff is always nice and the lady that takes the orders always makes sure the customers are satisfied. Great service and delicious food

I am officially done with this place I have ordered numerous times because of location and convenience but I have sacrifice quality Everything that I ordered Today was awful one of the items was bella grilled chicken salad The chicken was like Iron, am in a state of shock everything was fatty and hard And your pizza Was awful this is not rocket science This place is now without a doubt one of the worst in South philly and they have a big turn over with there help this is a big Problem with their service

This is the best place to get a good Philly steak sandwich and pizza in Philadelphia. We always get Phillys to go and bring them back to Columbus Ohio. They are very accommodating and the staff there is super friendly. This place is highly recommended.

First few times I ordered here were pretty good .. after it went down hill .. eggs shells in my breakfast sandwich , cold food , forgetting certain topppins on food.. & it took an hour and 25mins to get here. When I only live blocks away.. lol . then they want a tip .. 🤣

First time I ordered they were over an hour late with the completely wrong pizza... second time I ordered to give them the benefit of the doubt they literally never came... called at 10 they closed at 12 never got a call to even say they couldnt make it

This place is currently closed until further notice for MAJOR health code violations. If you walk by they have a "cease operations" sign up from the board of health. You need your head examined if you ever decide to eat here

Just a basic pizza place. Nothing special but it isnt as horrible as it seems in some reviews. Delivery has been quick the last few times Ive ordered

We as a group of at least 5 people ordered from them. Only 3 orders were O.K. One of the dishes we asked for them to specifically separate the sandwhich( 1 egg bacon and advicado7$ and dont add bread since they didnt have the bread preferred. When we received the food it was an big omelet with cheese folded up with toast on the side. She wasnt happy with that so when we asked for a refund for food they said they can only give us a credit for what wasnt sent and that was the bacon. What type of customer service is that. So she finally got someone to bring a another platter and THAT was wrong. On to the next person the sausages were all under cooked. THIS PLACE LOST OUR BUSINESS WE WILL NEVER EVER EVER ORDER FROM THIS INCONSIDERATE INCONSISTENT INCONVENIENT place they call a " restaurant again "

When we first started ordering from Isabella Pizza they were great. Then some of their sandwiches didnt taste the same. They even massed up an order. Our last experience was that they got the second part of an order wrong and after calling them on it, we were told that they would correct it. But the correction was also wrong. We were told after calling about the mistake, that we needed to call the next day and talk with the manager. Our solution is not to order from them again! 😖

Isabella Pizza is all about their location and ease of ordering online. Its within close proximity to where I work so I eat there a lot. Their food is okay. Probably the best thing Ive gotten from them was the chicken tenders or the pizza fries. The chicken tenders are good because they are huge pieces of chicken with a delicious seasoning underneath the breading, and they give you home made dipping sauce. The pizza fries are good all around, they are only $4 and you will be full after eating them. Theyre a tin full of french fries topped with pizza marinara sauce and loaded with cheese then baked. I hate to say their pizza is just okay, but at least they have a wide variety of options. Also its kinda silly but two of their employees who are regulars (the cashier woman and a taller guy with glassesare like ALWAYS arguing over something haha

Something has really gone wrong with this place. Weve ordered religiously from here almost every week. There have been ups and downs but this past experience is the last straw. First of all received their menu and said 10% off all online orders with promo code 2016. Tried it and said it was expired or invalid. Ok no problem Ill call. Called and the lady answering was a little less than happy which I get (its lunch time fine). But the rest just took the cake. The hot dogs are a joke. A not even bun size hot dog on an hoagie sized italian roll with some chopped tomatoes and onions on it is ridiculous. They should have just given me bread cause thats all I tasted. The "Cuban hot Sandwich" which is listed under "Hot Sandwiches" came in as a panini. Yes the cuban is listed under sandwiches and paninis. I specifically asked for sandwich not panini and was not asked to clarify. I know I asked for fries with a side of ranch. Ranch came with no fries and when I called back was given extremely rude answers. As you can probably tell the place I have recommended and ordered from for the past few years will no longer receive my orders.I wondered why there were 1 star reviews. Now I know. Good luck.

I ordered breakfast from here for the first time & it was awful! It was probably the worst breakfast Ive ever had. I cant even imagine how you would mess pancakes this badly..they were tough & couldnt even be cut! Im so glad I wasted $22 on 3 orders of pancakes, only to end up cooking breakfast myself!

Horrible. Food isnt good and service is even worse! They advertise until 11pm or midnight yet answer the phone at quarter of to say they are closed. I went for 4 years because they are close by and yet never did the service improve and there wasnt any customer loyalty. They are rude, argue with customers and the manager doesnt care. Last time I walked in the counter girls were yelling and cursing telling an inappropriate story in a place of business while ignoring my food ready to be given to me. Theres absolutely no professionalism. It is not a good neighborhood pizza shop, the food is frozen and just frankly not good. If you live in South Philly there are plenty of good pizza places you can order from, however I do not suggest Isabellas by any means.

Well, I live fairly close to them, maybe less then five minutes to walk there, and it usually takes them over an hour to get my food here. I just ordered from there and my burger was soggy, my fried shrimp was a bit under cooked, and my milk shake was horrible. It was warm, had air bubbles in it, and wasnt creamy at all. There very expensive, and the food isnt that good. I would suggest spending money somewhere else.

Went to pick up an order, got all the way back to my apartment before finding out they hadnt given me everything. Went back, and they seemed confused before realizing they had left part of my order in the oven (not at all apologetic). I then asked why the prices on the receipt didnt match the prices of their website where I ordered online, and three different employees gave me three different stories about how the prices on their website didnt reflect their real prices. They then held on to my receipt and told me the manager would call me the next day to settle it, which never happened. I had been there before, and the food was ok, but a little inconsistent (items crispy or soggy when they shouldnt be). After this encounter, I cant recommend them to anyone.

Isabellas is delicious! Our family has ordered just about everything off their menu, and its absolutely amazing! Their mushrooms on their pizza are like nothing youve ever tasted before... they have a crunch to them; its perfect! The pizza is amazing! The strombolis are HUGE!On the downside, the person who answers the phone (I believe her name is "Alexis"is very rude, talks extremely fast, and will often hang up the phone before youre finished talking!Isabellas also take a while to deliver, but other than that and the hasty phone service, Id say they have great food!Oh, and I would NOT recommend J&Js. They have horrible customer service and do not take responsibility for their actions.
