Rustic, kid-friendly place offering creative New American dishes, specialty cocktails & craft brews.
My wife and I shared a delicious fig salad as an appetizer. She had the Iron Burger with gluten free buns and I had the Lamb Curry burger. Both were absolutely delicious. The garlic fries sides were a bit small, but that was ok. I had a couple glasses of excellent Malbec. It was quiet for a Saturday night which tells me people were totally missing out on a great dining experience. Make sure to visit the Iron Rabbit!
Excellent service and food. We often sit in the comfy bar for dinner. You wont be disappointed.
The food was pretty good. I ordered a pickup order with a $3.00 side of coleslaw for my daughter it was in a container the size of a ketchup container and was only half full. I went back in and asked, is this the $3.00 side of Coleslaw? The server took it to the back and a cook took the lid off, stuffed more in and handed it back. Three bucks for 2 ounces of coleslaw is ridiculous. The dismisive response of the staff was not okay.
Very good experience and the food was great, would come again.
Wonderful first experience. We are from out of state and we were looking for a place to eat. We decided to try here. Couldn’t be happier. Our server Kevin was an absolute delight. I sure hope you share the positive reviews that are left with the employees. It will make them feel good in their efforts. Thanks.
Had a fantastic experience. Wife and I went for our anniversary. Our server recommended a dish for me. It was delicious. The service was professional, and friendly. When Im in the area again, Ill be back.
Attentive and friendly service and delicious eats. My friend and I were swinging in for a small bite and it was so nice to still be treated with the same quality of service as someone who would have ordered full rounds of food and drinks. Will definitely be back to try the burgers!
Amazing! Great and unique food.
We ate in the back bar area, which was cozy and offered some privacy. Staff was attentive, but bot intrusive. Menu is unique and offers a variety of dishes... something for every ones palate. I ordered the Drunken Sailor, which was perfect. Kitchen did an amazing job with taste and plating! The chef came out so we could thank him. Great job, Ford!
I came here to say that the food is magical and the server Kevin is magical. We ordered 2 fish and chips one with the curry sauce and some salads and a grilled cheese. The food was delicious and served on time. Kevin was sweet to my mother who has Alzheimers and showed a lot of tolerance to another family member who lacks social skills. Thank you so much! My sister and I will be back without the rest of the fam. You guys do an amazing job and the food is wonderful as well as the service.
Very tasty but also a little pricey for the portion sizes.
Chicken Cordon WHO, if you don’t immediately get in your car and order this dish - you are an idiot. Life changing. Sorcery. OF THE DEVIL.No one should be able to create something like this besides the devil or God himself
Wow! Amazing drinks and fantastic foods! The attention to detail for quality really shines here. Cant wait to go back. My Olympia Manhattan was great! I highly recommend the fiery Cauliflower for an app if you like a little heat. Their fish n chips are the best I have had outside of Alaska. Light and flaky. Perfectly cooked.
Staff is courteous and the service is reasonably quick. A couple of vegetarian options on the menu; a few other dishes can be modified to be vegetarian. Definitely worth a visit if you want a comfortable atmosphere with a more upscale menu.
This place never disappoints. Best lamb burger ever and always the best service. <3
The beef stew is amazing. Would highly recommend it. I also enjoyed the fresh lemonade. Staff were amazing and polite. No wait time and overall a great place.
It is the third time within the past month or so that my boyfriend and I have gone here for dinner. Each time, we were both getting the starter salad and irish stew. We definitely can’t realistically afford to do this consistently, but it is worth every dollar every time. Service is friendly and fast, but it is the stew we keep coming back for! This is an indescribably amazing stew and I hope it stays on the menu!
We had a nice experience at this restaurant. The Italian quesadilla was delicious. It had huge pieces of roasted garlic and some red peppers. The drunken sailor had shrimp and fish and was served with mash and a creamy gravy which tasted sweet to me. The fish and chips were yummy. Flavorful fries and succulent fish with a nice crunchy coating. The food took a little time to arrive but we were not in any rush.
Perfect place to take a friend with food allergies. I met a friend there for a quick bite and a drink. They have a good selection in the bar as well as non alcoholic drinks. The server was extremely helpful in checking for my friends allergens in the ingredients. We were able to find food we both enjoyed. They even sent it out with things separated so we could share.
Superb food, attentive and friendly service. Iron Rabbit is easily within the top three places around the world that Ive eaten at. The Chicken Cordon Who was tender and juicy. Masterfully done. I would rate it on par with Kali in Los Angeles.
Overall this is a place worth trying for the excellent food.I really wanted to give this place 5 stars all-round, but there were a couple of things that could use some improvement.Food: 4/5. I had the Sirloin Diablo which was cooked well, but flavors were not to my liking. The gravy of dish had savory middle eastern flavors like cummin and maybe a hint of turmeric, but also had a sweet American barbecue flavor to it and these flavors did not mix well for me, there was more sweetness than savory happening for me and that was unexpected from a dish with Diablo in the name.My wife had fish and chips, which were excellent in presentation and flavors.Unfortunately we arrived around 2:00pm and were kindly told we couldnt order from the dinner menu.Ambiance: 2/5. The pictures seem a bit deceiving. The restaurant was not as vibrant as seen in the photos and there is a strong oder that I can only describe as an old library book mixed with old people and a questionable hint of vomit. Thats was the worst part for me because the smell was throughout the restaurant and would not go away.Customer Service 5/5. The staff are friendly and attentive.I hyped this restaurant up to my wife for weeks because of the pictures of the food seen on google. She was not impressed with the interior and was really upset about the smell. Now I cant pick restaurants for a while... I Would eat from Iron Rabit again because the food was great, Id just be sure to get it to go.
Ive been here twice. Both times have been AMAZING! Ive had the beef stew and the artichoke heart alfredo and let me say its like an orgasm for your taste buds! Its a little bit on the spendy side BUT totally worth it! Why are you still reading this? GO EAT!
My boyfriend and I came in on a Saturday night for our date night. We instantly loved the atmosphere and quaintness of the place. Dani was our server and she was extremely attentive, pleasant and helpful during our meal. I got the Chicken Cordon Who and my boyfriend chose the Curry Burger. We both really enjoyed our food, I’m not a huge fan of curry but I tried a bite of his and really liked it. I really appreciate the portion sizes here, it’s not an overwhelming amount of food that you worry about wasting, especially with fries that tend to not reheat well. For dessert we got the berry cobbler, it came to us nice and hot with fresh ice cream on top, it was the perfect ratio and a great end to the night although we were stuffed and couldn’t finish. Thank you for the amazing dinner, we will certainly be back.
For a very nice dinner experience I recommend dining in the bar on a Friday around 7pm. The atmosphere is tranquil with dim lighting and excellent play list at optimal volume. Order drinks. Start with a 16oz Wanderlust for him and a Iron Margarita for her. For the starter: Sirloin Diablo. (Highly praised by both the host and server)The sauce is fantastic and easily shareable. Proceed to dinner: The Drunken Sailor and Marsala Chicken for the main dishes. This restaurant really has their sauce game locked down. Super tasty with good portions and addicting flavors. The kind of flavors where you just want to pick up your plate and lick it clean. When finished with dinner order another round and relax. The Iron Rabbit is a solid choice for dinner. Their menu is one of those that is hard to decide what to eat because everything sounds great. I love that. Id recommend this place to everyone. Ill surely be back for lunch another day.
We had some delicious burgers! The gluten free bun was yummy! The fish and chips were cooked perfectly and the bread pudding was delicious! Only one waitress and she did a really good job!😁
Great place for my birthday lunch. All of their food has a unique twist that shows real culinary talent. I was extremely curious about what an unusual combination like fig onion burger tasted like. It was wonderful!
The food here is always intriguingly delicious. The cream sauce is unique and well executed. High quality and fresh ingredients. Our server, Dani, did an amazing job introducing us the menus and providing us a relaxed yet fine dining experience.
Absolutely amazing food and service! Bethany was so attentive and kind. The food was heavenly!
The burgers are expensive. It was about $14 for one burger (without the fries). I was a bit disappointed at how little the amount of fries they give you especially since you have to pay for it separately, all while the burger being pricey. I thought the small amount of fries wouldn’t be enough but it turned out to be just enough. We went on a busy work day so only two other people were eating there. It was nice and quiet for the most part.
The Iron Ranch Burger was the best burger I ever had. We also had the quesadilla starter, which was super good. I enjoyed the place so much that I went again a few days later. Oops...
Good service and nice music played at a comfortable level. The food needs some attention. The fish and chips taste like they were cooked in very old oil. The carrot slaw is absolutely flavorless. The drunken sailor dish is served over mashed potatoes, bit would be much better over pasta.
Dont forget about the Iron Rabbit! Clean and comfortable environment with amazing food and great service. The Sirloin Diablo is one of favorites and great for sharing. The Artichoke Heart Alfredo will keep you wanting for more and The Chicken Cordon Who will blow your mind with cage free chicken, prosciutto, gorgonzola & stone ground mustard cream sauce. The clouds part!!!
I cannot in good conscience give 5 stars but am giving 4.75. We decided to try this restaurant based on the menu and photos we saw online. Unfortunately, both the appetizer and entrée I was looking forward to ordering were not listed on the limited menu and they were out of steak by the time we arrived for our dinner. The atmosphere was charming with unique character and great ambiance. I felt comfortable sitting at a table, semi center of the room which normally would have made me want to pass on the experience. There was only one server who did amazing for a place that was at COVID capacity when we arrived. We tried the Sicilian Quesadilla which did not disappoint with a Chipotle sour cream you could eat by the spoonful. The drunken Sailor just arrived and all disappointment has been washed away. Sweet, savory seafood laden in a creamy sauce gets all the tastebuds tingling. The bacon blue burger with garlic parmesan fries looked worthy of a healthy appetite. Love the roasted garlic pieces! I am leaving full mentally and physically and already preparing our next visit.
What a great little place! I found this Gem through fellow Yelpers and Im so glad I did.really enjoyed everything in here it was really a great experience for me in here
A cozy place with a simple yet varied menu. Portions were generous without being oversized. Friendly staff and skilled cooks. Rabbits were actually Iron.Bitter Rabbit house beer was a nice English Pale Ale.
Amazing food and wonderful service! The food was all top notch and generous portions! We all had something different so we could try more things and it was all fantastic. And try, if you can, to save room for the bread pudding!
Hidden gem in west Olympia! The whole menu looked delicious I wanted to try 5 different things. I decided on the wagyu steak. It was amazing! Already planning our next visit!
We made reservations here for a family celebration and were delighted. We had cocktails and the crab dip to start. Then enjoyed wine and a variety of main course meals. Our friendly waiter boxed up our desserts to go, as we were too full to eat another bite!
This is some good food! We both had burgers and basically inhaled them because they were so good. Great fresh, local ingredients. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the ambience is great. We splurged for dessert, too, and was not disappointed! Our server pointed out which options had fresh local fruit, which is a great touch!
Two words delicious and accommodating. We have serious allergies in my family so finding restaurants can be difficult. So after reading a few good yelp reviews we decided to cross our Fingers and see what the Iron Rabbit had to offer. Right off the bat we were able to talk to the manager about allergies and it all worked out. Everything was handled with care and the results were delicious. My two recommendations are the drunken sailor and the chicken cordon who. Not only was the food great but also the building was nice too. It had a quaint hometown feel and had clean bathrooms. I would definitely recommend stopping by.
I was on my way out of town and wanted to splurge on dinner so I decided to go here since it was in my list of restaurants to visit. I figured it would be a bit pricey since they dont have prices listed on the menu on their website.Overall the prices werent too bad. I got the buffalo cauliflower to start with and it was amazing!! Spicy and sweet with delicious chunky blue cheese dressing on the side. For my main course I opted to get the Wagyu Top steak instead of a burger but I wish I hadnt. For $32.00 it was very disappointing. It didnt have much flavor, was really dry and also over cooked. I asked for medium, hoping for some pink, but it was more medium well to well.My service was good, the guy who took care of me was friendly and attentive but after he dropped off the steak he never came back to ask how it was or else I would have told him it was too dry and over cooked. In the end I just checked it up to being part of the adventure of exploring new restaurants while on vacation. I will add that thw mashed potatoes were really good too!
The service is very good. Very friendly staff. Good for familys or alone. They have a fantastic homemade ginger ale and root beer that was very tasty. I had the unbeatable burger and the comdoments were very tasty. The vegetarian beet burger was dry and underwhelming. My companion had the fish and chips and they said it was serviceable. Id go back for the drinks.
Root beer was very tasty. Customer service is awesome! I had the polenta. It was delish!
I had the Bacon Bleu Burger. Awesome. The best burger Ive ever eaten. Deep fried onions on top of crispy bacon fresh greens on artisan bun. Absolutely awesome. 5 stars all day long bruh...
Super delicious. I had the Curry fish and chips, which were excellent (so, so good! Compliments!), and my girlfriend (not picturedhad the Grilled Cheese & Crab Bisque, which was decadent. I also tried their Bitter Rabbit ale, which they brew in house, and thought it was a great food beer.Atmosphere and service is top notch. Great restaurant.
Definitely give it a try. Known for their burgers; grain fed beef. Food was great. We are from OH and the price was worth what we paid. My meal was not as expected and they just "made to order" for me. We left our own to tip. (Saw the other reviewsthey have changed their policy. Glad we stopped.
We ate here for the first time on Friday night and it was wonderful. We shared the lamb meatballs as an appetizer, then I had a yummy salad and my husband had the Zola burger...excellent. My husband also had the Pot de Creme for dessert and said it was very good!
Very nice service and staff. Food was pretty good, I had the Sicilian burger and my hubby had the fish and chips. I hated the seating, the tables were pushed up close to your chest in the booths, and the tables are too high for the seating.
Bottom line first: local joint with good food and friendly staff that is at times overshadowed by a dull environment. ⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 (but Ill round up)Food was good, but not great. The atmosphere was kind of dull, but we were there late on a Friday. Dark bar with some TVs and no music. The lamb kofta kabobs were good and the tsatziki was definitely homemade and definitely good. The fish and chips are home made with a beer batter and panko encrusted. Good crust and well cooked. I was surprised in a good way by the curry. Great flavor. Got it with the chicken, which was not cooked into the dish. Was just placed on top of the curry as an afterthought. We really liked our bartender, Dominica. Great service and good company. She suggested some great drinks for us. Would go back to try more of their large gin collection.
Decided to come here for a late lunch on a day when it had been snowing profusely. I called ahead to make sure they were open and they were. This place is not super easy to see from the street. It has two entrances, the main one being the door on the right. The left door goes to the bar area. I am not sure how busy they are on a non "storm" day, but when I went it was 2pm and it was just me and another table. The manager sat me and explained the new items on the menu in detail as well as pointed out the 18% gratuity that was an auto add to the checks. I already knew this from browsing the website, but appreciated her letting me know. My take on that is if you are mandating customers pay gratuity then your service better be ON POINT.Menu- lunch consists of a variety of specialty burgers, sandwiches, some salads and a few entrees. It isnt overwhelming. For those who dont eat a lot of meat, they make their own veggie patties to substitute if needed on their burgers. My meal:Dungeness crab chowder- excellent. Flavor was savory, base was a mix between a cream and broth, with chunks of potatoes and other veggies that complimented it. I enjoyed it.Rancher burger with veggie burger patty substituted with side of carrot slaw- ate the slaw first. Nice mix of flavors. The semi sweet carrot flavored with a tangy honey mustard type vinagarette. I really enjoyed it. Now for the burger...the presentation was great, fresh veggies with onion straws, melted cheese, the veggie patty looked like a mix of quinoa and other things...I was excited. I bit into it and...what a disappointment. The veggie patty was mush. It pretty much oozed out of the bun. What was left had no texture or flavor. Im pretty sure the Costco bean patty burgers would have tasted better than what I just ate. Such a disappointment. Maybe they dont make them often. Im not sure, but it needs to be re formulated and perfected. It shouldnt be mush or taste like nothing.Cons- music was a weird selection and kind of loud. Expected better service for mandatory gratuity. Had to ask for more water and the server didnt offer any insight as to meal selections. Veggie burger patty was a fail, and if you are going to charge $17 for a burger, the veggie option should be just as good, otherwise charge less.Pros- if you are a beef eater, this place is a really good choice. Food was fresh and the selections have chef creativity behind them. They have a good selection of local brews too.Based on my experience 3 1/2 stars. I might have to come back and try something without the veggie burger Patty. Iron Rabbit chefs, if you change up your veggie Patty please let me know, I would definitely welcome a redemption challenge.
