Much better of a hostel than expected, the only problem is with cleaning the pillows. The place overall could also be cleaner but very good for the price. Not much complaints

Rooms were bare minimum, no lockers or hooks. Walls are paper thin. Beds are slumped and incredibly creaky. Not a social atmosphere. Not worth it. Pretty good location.

if i could give less than 0 stars i would. this place is absolutely filthy. stains on the walls and sheets. 2 toilets PER FLOOR, that you have to share with everyone else. breakfast doesn’t look promising and i’m pretty sure there’s mold growing on the wall of our room. there isn’t even a sink to wash your hands by the toilets, you have to go back and do that in your room. oh and for some reason you absolutely cannot be in your roombetween 11 am and 3 pm? that feels very sketchy. considering abandoning this place early and booking a different place. absolutely disgusting. i would rather sleep on a park bench than this place not gonna lie

This place might be cheap but theres a reason. Not only do the rooms leave much to be desiered but from 11-3 pm everyday you will be kicked out if your room and unable to access your things. The wifi will also be completely turned off during this time and you will not be allowed to stay in the common areas. They do this for "cleaning" but our rooms looked exactly the same as we left them. Also check out is at 11 and they will start harassing you as early as 10 to get out. A man just came into our room this morning (at 10:05unannounced while I was changing, and quickly left when he realized we were still in there. And then they kept knocking on our door to "remind" us we needed to be out by 11. Absolutely disgraceful how this place is being run. I would highly recommend finding somewhere else to stay, saving the money was not worth it.

Perfectly OK for a bed for the night - less than 15 mins walk to Gare du Lyon so convenient for getting an early train the next morning. Its also less than 5 mins walk from the closest metro so easy to travel to other areas of Paris. Staff very friendly and helpful and our room had comfortable beds and its own shower and sink. Some of the toilets were out of order so at one point the closest one was a couple of floors down, but overall it seemed decent value for the location.

There are probably better prison cells in Paris than this, lots of rules that are not enforced, for example people smoking, which can be smelled quite distinctly in the corridors and is extremely dangerous in such a building with very narrow staircases, groups of people in rooms making lots of noise all night, people showering all night ( rule is not after 11pmvery expensive for what you get,not even a basic chair in a room which is not particularly clean or accommodating. The ONLY good point is its proximity to the Gare de Lyon, unfortunately when I asked the reception attendant which way to go on departure, he claimed not to know, other staff were suspicious and lacking in manners. My advice would be to only stay here if your desperate.

Beware of this place. I made a mistake in my reservation. I tried to cancel it but it was impossible to figure out who to talk to. Called, spoke to receptionist, could not help and said I have to write email. I wrote email back and forth for a 9 days, my wife wrote as well, they said the reservation was cancelled and would not be reimbursed for the deposit. Even then, I kept receiving messages asking me to check-in. I called again and the reservation was effectively not cancelled. So in the end what happens is that I will be a not-show, and they will validate their non-reimbursement policy. It is run almost as a scam, frictionless to book, a lot of friction to cancel.

If you just want a place to crash, go for it but dont expect anything except for bunk beds. Check-in is from 15:00, fair enough no complaints. But there is strange and weird rule that you have to leave your room before 11:00 in the morning. From 11:00 to 15:00 you cant be in your room which is I believe a pathetic rule. One day we were late and told by the rude receptionist that they may charge us full room price as a penalty. Wont return to this place ever.

It is basically the worst hostel I’ve ever been! The light in the room is soooooo dim and smells really bad. The room had a big musty smell. And the hot water in the room is not always on in the evening. The height of the bed is also very inappropriate, too low for sitting on the bed. The soundproofing effect of the room is not good. After 11 oclock, other people can be heard playing music loudly using Bluetooth speakers, and no one will deal with it. What’s worse there is no light in the bathroom and no hair dryer.

The twin bed room was changed to a bunk bed room without and there was no willingness to do anything about it. The blankets had brown stains on them and it took talking to several staff members to change them. Per hallway there were only two toilets which resulted in them being extremely dirty quickly every day. Also it was very noisy. The location in the city is good but all in all I would recommend to go to another place even if it is a bit more expensive.

Really bad hostel , no access to room for 4 hours a day! 0 Facilities, not working wifi, dirty walls. No soap and sanitizers during COVID time on floors or rooms, no ventilation. Many hidden costs. On our first morning, exactly at 11AM someone knocked our room and straight away entered the room, it was a man. I felt so insecure, so we left, as apparently they needed to clean room, on our return we were told we dont have access to room at all for 4 hours from 11 to 3pm even we were staying there for 5 days, you can not even grab your staff, like passport in emergency for example. Apparently, no one gave us any instructions while checking and when booking it doesn`t show clearly on main page that you wont have access at all for 4 hours. It was just mentioned that rooms are closed from 11 to 3, but no one said you will be refused to even access your own belongings. When we demanded to have access and questioned why we cant use it they could not give us any proper answer.2nd PointShower - zero stars. First a fall, there was no light at all for 3 days, so you shower in complete darkness, plus in one of the cabins handle was just falling off (for entire stay - 5 days)3rd pointROOMMattresses are kind of plastic so every move is super loud, every time i moved my sister was waking up. As sister slept on top bunk bed you can see how bed was bended inside, so you kinda sink inside of a mattress, so she slept very poorly all these days. Room doesnt have any ventilation and you have to open window if you want to breathe, bare in mind windows facing inner terrace where people are constantly speaking and laughing. There is no chair or a table, but there are no even simple hooks. in my room 106 curtains were dirty and 2nd safe was not working, so we were left with 1. Room is tiny but light was so poor that it was constantly dark.4th pointSTAFF - never seen such variety of receptionists, some did not care at all, some were super rude. You must to leave key with reception and guess what if you come back and want to collect your key, they ask for a paper that you stay there, and if you left your passport and paper in a room you wont be given they key! When you complain about important things they just don`t care, very inhuman. When we came late one night hotel door was closed and it was written that receptionist goes around the property, so we waited to be let in!5th POINT FACILITIESThere are literally ZERO - toilet seat broken in ladies and its only 1 women and men toilet on the whole floor. No light, no even SOAP or sanitizers next to common or room sinks (during covid times!so its not even COVID compliant place! They dont provide towels you need to rent them. On first evening we wanted to get towels but were told they rented all of them! so we could not even take shower!!! Forget about hair dryers or irons! Wifi never worked. No showers after 11PM.

It’s the first time in my life that I have to leave my room from 11:00 to 15:00 because the hotel want to “clean” although you can’t deny because is a rule, even if you booked the entire week. Wifi doesn’t work at all so you better have data. Rooms smell bad and looks like a jail. Outside looks amazing, but inside is really bad. You have to share one bathroom men and girls and the same with showers. If you want to visit Paris, check rooms with time. I know this place is cheap, but they probably care more about rooms and the stupid rules they have. The location was good, only the positive thing! Otherwise nothing good to say.

Worst experience ever. Safety is not a concern for them. My luggage got stolen in this hostel. If you ask them to store your luggage for you while you go out and visit the city, they will not take care of it or watch over it. They just let you put it in racks inside of a closet where everyone has access to, so anyone can take any bag at any time. When I told them what happened and asked them to help me, they just said they did not have access to the security footage and there was nothing else they could do. Anyone can take any bag at any time and just leave with it without the personnel of the hostel even caring.

We booked one month earlier and we paid 15€ per night each one for a double room.Obviously the hostel give only what is strectly necessary but I think is enough. The place is clean and we had no problem. Surely Its not a 5 star, but I think its a really valid option for a low budget trip.

Dont click ,,add local city tax" during booking by the hostel website, because they will make you pay the tax twice!! They made me pay local city tax, which was 1,40 per person per night and also 8 euro for something called ,,city tax package". Some scam. The room was ok.

The price for the location is good and the building it self is not bad for a €17 a night hostel full of youths, if you are a sensitive person and can’t sleep easily it is not a place for you, also there is one toilet and 3 showers in each floor, 1 power outlet beside a cup board out of your reach and you gotta get up early for having a place to eat your breakfast.Tips: 1- try to book a room on the ground floor so you take your breakfast in your room.2- buy Nutella or any cream you want for your breakfast because there is not any good one there.3- don’t forget to take slippers.

15€/Night is indeed really cheap and a Good option for people who wanna save some money. The location is amazing and near a metro station so you can get around quite easily. But that’s it for the good points.I had a twin girls dorm. It was small, had a loft bed and a sink. That’s it actually. Also the blanket had no bedding which was kinda gross, so I would recommend taking one with you.On the website it was stated that there will be residents aged 18-30, which is clearly false as there were men way older there too! And as young girls travelling that made me and my friend kinda uncomfortable. However what can u expect for 15€/night?I really recommend you to just pay a bit more for a decent hostel or hotel, just to make your stay more comfortable. But if you are fine with the things stated above, this might be a money saver for you!

Was fine to stay here one night. The price is one third of everything else in Paris. The staff seamed overwhelmed by there duties. They could not manage to create a key card for me. Fortunately my roommate let me in when I needed to :)Breakfast is included but not good at all. I was afraid my bed would collapse during the night. To add more light to the common showers would be a good idea. The location is fine. Specifically when you travel via train. Also to the seeights of Paris I could walk.

They have more guests than keys, so you are supposed to knock on the door of your room to be able to enter (if the person whos supposed to be inside is eating or in the toilet youre doomed). Theres only one plug in the whole room, so charging your phone becomes a real challenge. The toilet inside the room is small and dirty. We booked two beds in the same room and we were assigned two in different floors. We were expecting something different and much better. Not good value for money.

The rooms are not so clean, the first day we found spilled coffee over the lockers in the room, it remained the same until the next 3 days (we cleaned later with just a napkin), some staff are cool, but others, one guy in particular was really rude, and useless when you ask questions about the city. The security seems minimum, there were strange people inside sometimes. Its really bad and expensive! For what they charge per night the quality should be 10 times better!

I stayed at this hostel for 3 nights and wasnt exactly impressed. I have been travelling for over a month now around Europe and have stayed in roughly 5 hostels and this one is so far is the one Ive been the least pleased with. The things that werent great about my experience:- The breakfast is VERY basic (coffee/tea and ONLY a baguette with small jam and butter thats it, NO fruit, cereal etc.)- The rooms are closed from 10am-3pm everyday for cleaning, meaning that you can not be in your room at all during that time. They will come and ask you to leave if you try to stay (I was sick one morning and slept in but they asked me to leave at 10:30am and when I said I didnt mind if they cleaned while I was still in the room, they repeated again that I had to leave). If you leave your room during that time and you forgot something in the room, your key wont unlock the door anymore. You then have to go down to reception and ask for assistance.- There is only one tiny washroom (with no mirrorfor the an entire floor of around 10-15 rooms (you have a sink + mirror in your room, there are 3 showers). If you are in a mixed dorm and want to get changed in the washroom it isnt very easy.- You have to leave your key at reception whenever you leave and you must hold onto your receipt of payment to show them when you want the key back which isnt horrible but it is a little annoying.Good things:- The staff at reception were nice and accommodating.- Pretty good location with lots of restaurants etc. near by and 10-13 minute walk to transit.- Not a lot of cosy places to hang out in the common area (no couches, just chairs and tablesbut still some places to sit.- There are small safes that lock to put some of your things in each room.

Poor breakfast, there’s basically nothing to eat (just a piece of bread with some kinda “jam” and a pack of juice). In the room, seems like they never change bed linen. In the bathroom, the shower cabin is just a disaster, dirty and disgusting. With a mold on the floor and hairs everywhere. The private safe vault is just not functioning properly, we couldn’t keep our valuables in there. And the last but not least, there’s only one power socket in a four-people room.

Shabbiest hostel I’ve ever stayed.Perhaps even jail cells are better - at least they have there own toilet.Room:No chair or table in the room. Dim light. Only two sockets on the top of the shelf (which I can’t reach and since there’s no chair...Sheets included but no sheet for the blanket.Shared shower:Very dim with no hooks. Have to put clothes on the shelf which is in the shower.Other things:No soundproof with loins noise till at least 1am.Access forbidden to your own room everyday between 11am and 3pm.Unpleasant and cold staff. Not that cheap.

No contact with hostel, they never replied to my message sent more than month prior to planned stay - Im 7 month pregnant and I asked about lower floor - they gave me the room on the 4th(top floor- NO ELEVATOR in the building. Room was extremely dusty, tiny and dint look anything like on the photo. Whats more you cant take a shower after 11pm according to note made by hostel - no info when booking a room. Also there are only 3 showers shared for the whole floor - one of them was not working. No cushions in the room, all you have is a stinky pillow and dirty blanket. Ive stayed in a lot youth hostels and this one was so far the worst, most expensive.

The hostel is in close walking distance to a metro station and shops for food. Very well placed in Paris for travel to various sites.Rooms were cleaned daily. Showers were good, but there were only three per floor so timing may be an issue if not in an en suite room. Facilities in en suite room were good. There was however only one power outlet for the room and three people with different adaptors. There were four safes in the room (one per personwith mechanic locks opened by a password set by youself each time opened, with adequate space to store valuables and items.A microwave is on site but no fridge, so either eat out or have microwave food (the hostel was in very close proximity of several stores, so this is no problem). Breakfast is provided with extras being very cheap.Overall, very good value for money for a hostel in Paris. My only issue was the lack of power outlets, but that wasnt a major problem as sockets are available in the communal area downstairs.

What a dump. They have a lock out period from 11am to 3pm. Stupidest thing Ive ever come across. Apparently to "clean" the rooms. Only once out of the 5 nights our room was even cleaned? so what the hell do we get locked out for? the staff come slamming on the doors and walk right on in if they feel like it. so unprofessional. key cards werent working most of the time.Lots of schools kids running around blocking up hallways and making a huge amount of noise late at night.Internet was a disaster, disconnecting from the server every 15 minutes and barely working when you are connected.Staff so rude, we didnt even get hellos, goodbyes at one point the man dint even verbally respond to us, just rolled his eyes, tossed out keys and got back to his computer.I would recommend giving your money to a business that cares more about their customers.

The place isnt really all that great. Theres little to no ventillation in the rooms, mattresses and pillows are on the rather cheap side. On the other hand, breakfast was included and the the prices for rooms are exeptionally low. Service was ok, they were friendly people, nothing more to be said. Theres a common room downstairs, good for some talks with international students. If youre looking for comfort, this isnt the place to be. Its more of a place for a 1 night stay, or if you just really need a place to sleep. (For the record, paid 18 euros for a bed in a 2 person room with common bathroom)

The hostel is in a great location, and that is it. The hostel is old, dirty and cramped. The bathroom is disgusting and incredibly small and old. The water that comes out when you shower is cold and bring flip flops since the shower floor is brown and yellow and horribly dirty. The included breakfast is a cold mini baguette, madeleine muffin, orange juice box, and hot beverage. Nothing special, you can buy these items at the Fanprix down the street for 3/4 euros and have food for the week. The bunk beds are very old and noisy and the sheets have a few stains. Also in a room of four there was one outlet to charge the phones and no trash, save the trash in the bathroom. I would never recommend staying here, although staff are friendly.

1. GENERAL:Warning: no elevators, and a narrow staircase. We were on the 3rd floor, so we had to lug our suitcases up individually, blocking the entire staircase. In addition, there isnt really any seating offered beyond 9:45 am around the concierge area, so factor that into your situation. The WiFi was alright, a bit spotty and would keep requiring me to sign in every few hours. So a bit annoying but worked pretty well.Lastly the luggage room is basically in a cave underground where you can basically smell the boiler room (Im assuming the whole place is super moldy).2. WASHROOM/SHOWERS:There was one singular washroom (just the toilet pot and a dustbin in a tiny room), and 3 showers for the whole floor of approximately 10 rooms. The handwash basin was in your room so you couldnt really wash your hands immediately after using the loo.The showers were a bit small and there were NO HOOKS to hang your towel/clothes so be forewarned.Overall, only lacking the wash basin by the loo, kept pretty clean for a building this old.3. THE ROOM:I was in a room for two, with a single bunk bed. There are 2 outlets, but neither close to the bed or the mirror (which is installed above the free-standing wash basin). There were 2 fairly sized safes, and the room in itself is pretty secure (we didnt feel the need to padlock our bags in placebut we do have to return the key when we leave. The room was a bit musty and old, but the window solved that issue. Overall pretty decent room.

The hotel was poorly lit and desperately in need of renovations. Service was adequate but hostel has odd rules like no showers after 11:30 pm (due to the noise yet nothing was done about other noisy tenants), youre not allowed to enter your room between 11 am-3 pm for cleaning, and you must leave your room key with reception whenever leaving the building. Amenities are sparse. If youre on a budget and just need a place to lay your head that night, itll do for a night or two but I wouldnt recommend any sort of extended say.
