The International Rice Research Institute being founded since 1960 has called Los Baños in the province of Laguna its home. This institution has been largely created thru the auspices of the Rockefeller and Ford foundations and has conducted scientific research towards the cultivation of rice as one of the worlds major food crops.

国际水稻所，里面还有关于中国的水稻史，还有袁隆平的照片。作为一个农业爱好者，此地是打卡必来处。研究室不对外开放，只有一个水稻历史博物馆对外开放，食堂也是开放的，味道还不错，价格也不贵

This place is fully airconditioned at about 20 degrees Celsius and is a world class museum about rice research and products across the world. It also includes a historical tour about rice cultivation and the different kinds of rice in different cultures.
