Intan Seafood Restaurant - Restaurant in Cukai, Malaysia
Intan Seafood Restaurant in Cukai
Description
Privilege
Overall the dining experience was quite ok. Food also not bad with good atmosphere. However, if the Tomyam Soup can be improved it will be a plus point.
MoreThis place is overrated. We were looking forward to the fried squid with salted egg as suggested in by one of the reviewers but we were disappointed. The tomyam seafood was watery and the kailan vege was not great. The worst was the fried oyster mushrooms. It had no taste at all although the portion was big. We enjoyed the cool iced nescafe though.
MoreWondetful seafood find in cherating. Tasty, and in good portions too. Will come back if in the area
MoreNice classic place to dine in. Got spacious parking area under a big tree. Just in front the beach where you can take a walk along it to feel the breeze.Ordered sotong tepung and udang harimau masak cili. Taste good! Sadly at that time we would like to hv udang biasa and mantao. But not availbale. Gonna come back and try soon.
MoreGood seafood options. Fried salted egg calamari was the best.
I liked this place. After being in glittering KL for 2 months it was good to stop here for lunch. Its not a modern fancy place but its an old, full of character and suits under a massive tree right on the beach. We were the only people there at 3pm and we wondered if they were open but we found someone behind the counter and they had our food out to us very efficiently. The soup was spicy and generously filled with seafood. The calamari was a bit oily but tasty. The stir fry vegetables were good.
MoreProbably the best place for dinner on Cherating beach. Seafood is fresh, tasty, affordable and the restaurant is rustic, breezy, friendly, and clean. Far enough from the beach to not get salt sprayed but close enough that you can still see the waves. Ample parking.
MoreNice kampung ambience restaurant serving home cooked malay and chinese style seafood. Service was fast and good, didnt have to wait long for our food. We have the silver pomfret cooked garlic and lemon style. Nicely deep fried, topped with garlic slices and pieces of lemon for squeezing. Fish was fresh and nicely deep fried. The chicken and cuttlefish tomyam was ok. The stir fry mixed vegetables was ok too. Liked the prawn Omelette which was light and flavourful. If you like prawns and crabs, I can tell you they looked really delicious on our next table.....hahaha 😋
MoreOne of the best place to dining fresh seafood.
Overrated. Price a bit on the high side. The taste of the food ordered are below par.
MoreOne of the best restaurants in the area. First come, first serve / walk-in only as they dont take reservations. Do check their IG intanseafoodcherating_ for latest updates and announcements
MoreThe foods are really good. The service is kinda okay but it was fast service. And the view is not good in the night but great in the day. The prices are okay affordable. I would say 30 bucks perperson.
MoreGood ambient of beach restaurants. Mantao sedap
The food is very good. Go get the prawn with dried chilli. Unfortunately crab is not available. The staff is very friendly and food comes really fast. The ambient is really really good but can add solar light at the parking for ease of parking during the night.
MoreWe are vegetarian, but were able to get a nice sizzling tofu, a plate of mantou (fried dough balls), garlic broccoli, and veggie rice. It was all really nice, and youre right next to the beach, so we could walk there from our accommodation. Quite reasonably priced and professional.
MoreGood taste of food, fresh seafood and reasonable pricing. Expect queueing up for table as they can only serve 7 tables at one time. Understaffed and need to wait a bit for food but service was nice.
MoreReally love it. Must try this restaurant. Very recommended , but please come early. First come, first serve.
MoreLoved the food and the atmosphere. Not too pricey for the food and service.
Really value for money + yummy. Well always order the butter prawn and chilli crab... they are so good!
MoreBeen here a few years back. However, it opens at 2pm whereas we got there at 1pm expecting to have lunch. We left since they are not ready and we are hungry 🤣
MoreThis has become my favourite restaurant to dine with family and friends in Cherating. The dishes are very tasty and fresh seafood served. We had the chili crab and steamed fish and it was really good. Excellent service by the staff and parking space for vehicles are readily available.
MoreHad excellent steamed fish and Kaylan. Never ate such fresh fish in a long time. My daughter had Sizzling chicken. Prices are reasonable. The sisters who run the family restaurant speak good English. Service was impeccable. It lacks the ambience of asophisticated food joint, but its spacious and clean. Good
MoreSurprised that a restaurant in a small hut served such delicious food. We had kailan garlic oyster sauce, sizzling prawns, siakap fish sambal, claypot beancurd, chili crabs and kepah steam ginger chili padi - the seafood was fresh and delicious. Its really worth the drive for this food.
Morereally nice location, secluded area by the beach. staff were super friendly. cheap prices and the seafood is sooooo good. wld totally come back!
MoreOrdered siakap sambal, lala ginger + cili and salted egg squid. Delicious! Workers are nice and good location
MoreOne of the Beach side Restaurant at popular Cherating Beach. Easy to locate and free public parking in around the place. Good range of local delicacies and see food in the menu with reasonable price. Friendly staff with prompt customer service.
MoreIts okay, seating limited, food is alright, sweet sour fish 2/5 because there was no 3 rasa, salted egg prawn 3/5 taste isnt really there, omelette 4/5 slightly salty gotta whisk that egg, tom yam chicken 3/5 hits the malay palette right just not enough meat, kailan with salted fish 4/5 nice watermelon juice jug 5/5 top notch no cap. Price was okay, total was RM171 for 5 people.
MoreCome dine here for a fresh and tasty seafood feast. However this place does not serve individual rice/noodle dishes, so be prepared to order for sharing portions, which is quiet large. Personally loved their chilli crab, which is best paired with fluffy mantou buns. Waiting time is quiet long, so make sure to order all dishes in one go, or else need to wait for longer time for additional dishes.
MoreWe were lucky to arrive there before peak hours. The menus are limited (no noodles, only white rice with varied lauk to choose from but no steamed fish on that day), taste was so-so. Small portions; for small sized servings theyre only enough for 1, so bear in mind if youre ordering for groups. Nice view though as its near the beach. We literally went there for the view.
MoreThe food is good. Located next to the beach. But theres a muslim cemetary near the entrance. So you need to be careful once you arrive at Jalan Kubur.
MoreA family run, local Malay seafood restaurant on the beach. The local restaurant was clean and well lit. We arrived closer to 8pm on a weekend and was able to get a table. Our server took our order and made great recommendations. We were impressed the menu is available in English and she was able to provide translation of the fish types. Was concerned the food would take long to come out but everything was served fairly quickly at the same time. We had:(Ample food for 2)- A jug of their freshly blended carrot and milk- Salted egg squid- Fried seabass (siakapwith sambal- Kailan garlic with oyster sauce- Foo yang (eggwith crab meat- Rice- Sambal belachan is a must if you enjoy spicy!Everything was so tasty, the Foo yang was a little too salty. We would come back again!
MoreThis restaurant is quite far but its okay because we can enjoy the view at the beach. I love the fact that this restaurant is near the beach because the air was so fresh and a bit windy,. I like it. The concept of this restaurant is just simple but the place is well managed and clean. The seafood that they served was so fresh and delicious, and the size also quite big. I really love their siakap 3 rasa and sotong goreng tepung. The price is affordable, suitable with the portion of the foods.I think because they dont have much workers that is why their service is quite slow. But overall im satisfied with the foods and the environment of the restaurant. I really recommend this place for a family dinner.
MoreBeen here twice. Reasonable price. Taste good. Salted prawn was nice and juicy! Nice view during dawn. Shall come again. 👍🏻
MoreThe kerapu goreng sambal was very delicious, as was the sotong goreng salted egg ♥️ we had asparagus with garlic too. Not many places in pahang seem to have asparagus, so that was nice. The restaurant was quiet because it was 6pm on a weekday, and had a beautiful view of the beach, accessible on foot. Parking is free too. Theres a large field next to it.The price was set in the menu and quite affordable, except for the fish. You need to ask what fish is available though. They only had kerapu and siakap today.
MoreGood seafood menu. Price also not expensive.
Food sedap, but had a small incident wt one of the lauk. 1st arrived, you can actually count the veges.. (1 small florets of broccoli, 4 small florets of cauliflower.. As pic below. But after highlighted to owner, they replaced it with a decent versionhowever, if you need to go to the toilet.. Better not la. Youd have nightmare.
MoreIt has a nice ambience. The food is just nice. Very friendly staff. Fast ordering process. Variety of food selection. We ordered salted squid, butter squid, broccoli garlic (really love this), asparagus and tomyam.I ordered shark fins soup. Doesnt suite my taste and totally different cooking style. However it is edible.
MoreNice seafood restaurant, reasonable price, come early before crowded on weekend.
No trip to Cherating would be complete without eating at Intan’s. Quite a large family-run restaurant, right next to Cherating beach. Ample parking. Lots of options on the menu and anything can be cooked to your own tastes - just ask. Great freshly squeezed fruit juices & tasty steamed fish. Very friendly and accommodating. In the evening, keep your eyes open for the hornbills that often visit.
MoreGood food, taste good, pawn and fish are fresh. Staff is nice.
~The place to enjoy fresh seafood with local taste. Affordable price make this restaurant always full. So, make your reservation or you’ll spending longer time waiting.
MoreSo good. The restaurant overlooks the sea and you can literally walk on the beach till youre food arrives. I highly reccomend the butter prawns; Mine were the size of my hand! The staff are very friendly and food is served relatively fast. I would definitely come back given the chance^^
MoreOverall we really satisfied with the food. 5 stars if u guys upgrade the service. Really slow. Keep up the good work ya. 🤗
MoreDefinitely well recommended, prawn salted eggs.. and also i like crab fried rice...
MoreSince I found the Legend Chereting restaurant average on food I needed another seafood restaurant, the locals guided me to Intan, and yes it was a great choice the butter crab was awesome, prawns etc and yes food wss reasonable must visit.
MoreWent there for dinner with family. Ordered seafood fried rice and chinese fried rice. Both fried rice turned out to be the same fried rice. Its only with 3 shrimps and 3 pcs of squid in the seafood fried rice. Ordered omelette. One was okay but another one was too salty. The fried calamari was okay. There stars for you guys.
MoreA bit off the path but unequivocally worth it. A restaurant for the locals and priced accordingly - various dishes including Malay and Western, beef, seafood or vegetarian. Fresh juices are spot on (as no alcohol is served 🤔). Staff made some excellent recommendations on Malay dishes which were all tasty. Some bugs were found but it is open air so it is to be expected.
Morethe besf sea cpod i had till date in Malaysia, and that too at quite reasonable price. highly recomend. also the ambiance of a laid back beach house add to the overall experience.
MoreGreat seafood by the beach. The dishes I ordered were too big for 2 people
Very good butter prawns. Steamed fish was very fresh. Very good value for money in terms of food quality. But you have to come before 7 pm. Once it gets dark, there are lots of insects that will be joining you for dinner. Some will fly into the food too.
