Inn on Long Lake in Nanaimo

Great local hotel, exceptionally clean and superb facilities. Lovely outlook onto the lake. Staff are so friendly. Breakfast is self service but perfectly adequate. Many thanks.

To start out, I would stay here again if I’m in the Nanaimo area. It’s a suburban motel, but Nanaimo is basically all suburb, so that’s reasonable.It’s right on long lake, which is basically right on the highway. There are several chain restaurants within a 10 minute drive, and it’s a good stopping point if you come in on a late ferry.We were charged $9 for parking, which kinda seems ridiculous given the huge lot on premises and that our booking website said it was free. But they said they would investigate, and I never heard anything.That being said, The staff is really nice. They seem to care, and the room and grounds were in pretty good shape. It’s not a real resort, but you can swim in the lake and the spa/sauna were clean.

Beautiful location for a hotel. The hotel is easily accessible from the highway. The room was nice and clean. The room had a nice balcony overlooking the lake. The hotel staff were kind and professional. I will definitely stay at the Inn on Long Lake on my next visit to Nanaimo.

Very nice stay, pretty setting by the lake, dock to swim off, hot tub was great, nice sized rooms, good wifi. Only comment is that they could improve breakfast offering with some protein, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, cold cuts, etc

DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE. Extremely disappointing. Very poor customer service. Attendant at front desk was a nightmare to deal with. Made us feel unwelcome. Had issues that were dismissed and not resolved in any means. Ended up going to a different hotel. Horrible staff horrible manager. If I could give zero stars I would.

I’ll start this off by saying we have stayed here a few times and everytime has been wonderful. This time we came we walked in and noticed about 12 obvious ginormous stains on the floor, but it is a pet room okay fine (but they didn’t even look cleanedafter walking around after 10 minutes we noticed our feet were caked BLACK. The carpet has obviously not been cleaned in a long time, we put our shoes on and dealt with it. But then, we looked in the shower which was filled with hair. This was super disappointing and gross, on top of that the beds were caved in and we all woke up with a very sore body. When we come to a hotel we expect it to atleast be clean, I really hope the hotel starts atleast carpet cleaning between pet stays as there was obvious urine stains ALL over the carpet. If people are paying pet deposit fees for a stay, where’s the clean up?

Nice view of lake, decent room and modest breakfast options.Wouldve given 5 star if bf had some options hot options like boiled/scrambled eggs. Also bathroom shouldnt be inside kitchenette which is ultra small.

Such a beautiful place.I visited again this place with my elderly mother to enjoy the view and relax.But I heard construction noise in the morning instead of birds.Bed sheets were clean but the blanket was dirty. It would be nice if they can check out the details.

Very good stay! Hot tub area is perfect, with sauna and showers. Soap dispensers and water cooler as well as lounge chairs. Windows super clean so our view was perfect. Robes in room are a great touch. Rooms are clean and grounds are very well kept. Breakfast is a little too basic but it is early post covid. I will absolutely recommend.

Beautiful Inn. Nicely tucked away, near the lake. We loved the quiet of no noise from the city and the chance to see all kinds of wild life. The beds were extremely comfortable and the breakfast included was great.

Clean rooms, good curtains & good temperature regulation.Great view of the lake and quick access to grass/walkways for pets. Great pet-friendly option.Continental breakfast was nothing fancy but exceeded expectations.

We really appreciated the amenities in the room, including bath robes, real cups and glasses, and refrigerator. The view was wonderful. The only small negative was the lack of a hot breakfast. Would highly recommend.
