You could not find a better place to stay for a trip to Portland! Between the friendly and helpful staff, the wonderful rooms and the location that puts you in a lovely neighborhood with easy access to public transport, you couldnt ask for more!
I really liked the place. I moved my son to Portland and this place was 4blocks from my son,s place. I will stay here with my wife if I can get a deal for a week. It had a full kitchen set.
Love the vibe and look, clean and kind people, good breakfast. Very helpful too. Great location! Will come again!
Great location, staff were PNW friendly and the rooms are nice. Our rooms bed headboard shared a wall with the elevator and if we would have been staying for more than a night that would have been a deal breaker as it was super noisy.
Room had a really bad smell. It seemed to be coming from the carpet. I got some febreze and arm and hammer order neutralizer for the carpet. It only worked for a little while then the smell was back. Stained carpet, large chips in the plaster on walls, trim in room needed repair, mold in shower, stained and worn furniture. Hotel needs updating. Free parking. Nice staff. Liked the color scheme of the hotel.
Great staff, coffee, rooms, decor. Right by a trolley stop with free passes. Great neighborhood that’s easily walkable. Free parking.
Decor is fun, Beds are soComfy, full kitchen is a great feature, breakfast had everything we needed and more, staff is friendly, free parking and lastly it’s nicely located to food and the market. We would definitely stay here again!👏 great job
Great location in NW PDX, with a relaxed atmosphere, and a colorful quirky look. The balconies and rooftop allow us to have a change of scene to relax from all the sight-seeing. Daily streetcar tickets & live transit/bike-share schedule posted in Lobby/Lounge makes it easier to get . The staff are down-to-earth and very accomodating to requests. Breakfast is nothing fancy, but staff continue to restock items through the morning and keep things clean.
The perfect blend of AirBnB and traditional hotel. Varied breakfast with varied cereal/bread options and lots of fresh fruit. Good coffee and milk/cheese/yogurt choices. Take to your kitchenette or dine in. Clean, though sheets are not changed every day. And right on trolley line (free tx at front deskor walk to lots of excellent and varied eateries. Staff is beyond helpful and freindl
3-night stay. Nice, spacious room. Clean. Kitchen was a great feature. I didnt take advantage of the stove like I was hoping, but it was nice to have. Full-size fridge was great for leftovers, half-gallon milk containers, water, sammiches, etc. Water pressure was very good. We take our showers in the evening, so we had plenty of hot water. Balcony was a plus. It was great to have 24 hour coffee machines at our disposal, but I personally didnt like the taste of coffee they offered. Its great that theyre using a local brand, but it wasnt for me.Floor shook at times, probably from the laundry facilities beneath us. Occasional noise from guests talking in the hallway. Can hear people walking around in the room above. Slept fine with brown noise playing during the night.WiFi was not at all stable. In most areas of our room, the signal dropped across different devices. Mac, Android, and iOS suffered from poor WiFi signal. Front desk attendant offered to give us a different room on the first floor, but could not guarantee that the signal would be stronger. I checked to see if the WiFi would be any better in the hallway outside of the room that was offered to us, but it was about the same.Breakfast was decent. Plenty of bread and bagels--some of which were GF. Fresh fruit, yogurt, cheese, hardboiled eggs, milk, cereal.Parking lot was tight, but manageable. Didnt worry about our vehicle, as parking area lighting was adequate, not easily accessible to the outside, and was permit-only.Room was very comfortable. Bed was great. My daughter slept on the sleeper sofa, and had no complaints.Only real issue was the WiFi. Its not a deal-breaker, but should not be an issue at $254/night. Will probably stay here again in the future.
I love the appliances (Stove, fridge, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, they were of high quality. Bed was Fairly comfortable. The stay was very good. Will book there again.
Such a cute hotel with a great vibe and location...customer service was amazing. Wish I was staying more than one night... highly recommend.
This is a wonderful hotel. Id give it the highest rating ever. Clean safe and centrally located in places I want to be. The staff was friendly and professional. Love it. I especially enjoyed the hospitality of your staff member Amaya. She was helpful and friendly.
Super cute. My wife and I stayed there and it we really liked it. Wish we could stay longer
Would have given 5 starts but our rooms bathroom sink went from a slow drain being a clogged our 1st day there, made getting a chore not being able to use it our first night there. The staff was made away and it was fixed upon our return, which was great. Otherwise it a nice facility with a friendly staff close to Slabtown and many restaurants bars and shopping.
However, I was really disappointed in their lack of environmental consideration at breakfast. Great location with comfortable rooms and the free parking is a great bonus. We had a double queen with balcony and there was plenty of room for the three of us. Beds are comfortable and I love having coffee, kettle, and fridge. The decor is equal parts dated and a bit tacky, but the hotel is clean and friendly, so I can forgive the decor! However, I was really disappointed in their lack of environmental consideration at breakfast. Milk is provided only in single serving plastic bottles which is utterly wasteful. Dozens and dozens are opened and "recycled" (most people dumped in the trashevery morning. Being there over Earth Day I was saddened that we (the general we herestill just are not thinking/caring/acting as we need to. Also half and half in those stupid plastic single serve cups (and most people need 2 or 3). They have the counter space to easily add a hotel pan with ice and a pitcher of milk and half and half. One morning I requested almond milk (kept behind the front deskfor my cereal which I had carried up to the desk. Instead of pouring directly into my bowl, they poured into a plastic cup to hand to me. These things just need to stop happening! Hello Portland, you had a heat wave of 115 degrees last summer, wake the f up!! I would stay here again but truly hope some changes are made.
Very nice customer service and great location walls are thin so it can be noisy in the morning but to be expected for a boutique hotel. Also the water didnt get hot in the morning but did at night. I really loved the decor though and it was well priced for a full kitchen.
The bed was a bit soft, but the rest of the room was good. The staff were pleasant to deal with and the location is very well located. 23rd is just a couple blocks away and the trolly station is right there. The hotel has two and a half hour passes for the trolly if you ask.
The Inn at Northrup Station delivered a home run in service, value, and amenities. Here is what I enjoyed the most about my recent stay:*Awesome vibe throughout the hotel with inviting colors and artistic decor.*Welcoming and personable front desk staff at check-in.*2 good-sized televisions in suite; perfect for my march madness viewing experience!*Wonderful specious kitchen with all the essentials (microwave, refrigerator, plates, bowls, cups etc.)*An "out of this world" mattress. 10/10 for comfort.
Stayed here for 4 nights and loved every second. Beautiful rooms, walking distance to restaurants, and professional staff. If I ever come back to Portland, I will stay here! Special thank you to Madison D. for being an amazing help.
My favorite place in Portland to stay! Rooms are always clean and quiet, not to mention fun! Highly recommended!
Like most reviews on here - really fantastic stay! The rooms were clean and super cute, I wish I would have taken some photos. It’s in a great location and the parking is great if you need it. Definitely will be back!
Went to visit friends down from Olympia as they were staying there. We all agreed that it is a Great place to stay in Portland!! In the past our staycation favorite. Wonderful amenities for going to carts & eating in for days of roaming & resting.
We always stay at the Northrop Station because it is in a nice part of NW P-town, with a trolley into downtown. Love the room sizes, the kitchen, and the parking situation. We’ve tried other places for some variety, but no more. This is the place.
Easy check in. Fantastic room layout. Extremely comfortable bed. Excellent shower. And amazing coffee at the front desk.
This is a great place to stay in Portland. The front desk was very friendly the entire time. The room colors were fun, and loved that there was a kitchen.
Cute, funky place in a vibrant neighborhood with great staff and amenities. I used to drive by it every day when I worked nearby and was always intrigued, so upon a recent return trip to Portland I was excited to stay here. Everything was great - no parking issues although we mainly walked and used the streetcar (really appreciated the complimentary passes!). Would definitely stay here again the next time I return to Portland.
I loved the vibe and atmosphere that yall presented. Everything had a funky, retro vibe, with psychedelic carpets. We especially loved the hand blown glass art that lined and shaded all of the lights along the hallways. Nice touch.Warm, big bed, great showers, thick towels, and a nice kitchen. It was a little apartment with a quaint balcony. And kudos on such a healthy, yet bountiful continental breakfast. We stayed twice, and were unable to enjoy the events that were held, but we had a great time outside, in the city. The staff were cool and explained the MAX, and bus system well and are so readily available that a nice dude opened the door on the second floor for me, so that I could float on through after a long night enjoying 23rd Street. Thankyou Sir, whoever you are, for I fumbled with the keypad. You helped me hover through unimpeded. Haha. Overall. Awesome place. Hope to see yall again soon. Stay classy.
We like it here, our go-to hotel in Portland. Its in a great neighborhood for restaurants and shopping, easy access to downtown with a Max stop literally on the doorstep. Each room is a suite with full kitchen--you dont have to go anywhere if you dont want to. Nice deck for an afternoon libation when weather permits. Great staff, nice breakfast. Good coffee. Rooms are exceptionally clean. And-they dont charge extra for parking!
Overall a great experience. Staff is friendly and location is great. Rooms are relatively clean and its great to have a kitchen and patio. Unfortunately, lot parking isnt always available but the front desk can offer street parking passes if needed.
What a unique place to stay! The decor was awesome and very different from any hotel/motel I have ever stayed in. Multiple televisions, a full kitchen with utensils, plates and glassware. I had a very pleasant experience.
Very chic. The decor is purposefully retro, which may bother some folks. But the space is great; with a full kitchen included and a patio. Its also within walking distance to MANY restaurants, bars, and other eateries. Recommended for local couples looking to spend a date (over)night, as well as out-of-towners.
Amazing place, highly recommended. We stayed with a baby and the staff was super helpful in accommodating us with pack-n-play and anything else we needed. Room was clean and super comfy with full amenities. Excellent location too. Thx!
Loved this hotel! My husband and I stayed 1 night here driving from Nor Cal to Seattle and were very pleased with our stay. Cute, funky little hotel with a great full stocked kitchen. It even had a full size dishwasher! Staff was friendly, hotel was quiet, clean and we slept great in the comfy bed. We will definitely return here if ever in Portland again. Check out Breakside Brewery around the corner for great beers and food!
Nice room. Excellent amenities. Kudos to the staff for keeping it going during Covid. Good continental breakfast.Love that it’s on the streetcar line and they give you free tickets. Makes it easy to get downtown.
Cute roof top, colorful fun room, easy location to enjoy food, bars, people watching. Has a parking lot that is free. Continental breakfast was convenient. Rooms have a full kitchen including real knives, bowls, cutlery.
Very modern and clean, with trendy decor and a lot of bright colors. The kitchenette had a stove, toaster, microwave and fridge with icebox and ice maker. The room had a safe that was super-skinny, so good for only a tablet or slim laptop. The hotel has mediocre noise proofing between the rooms, so is a poor choice for light sleepers. The streetcar runs on the street in front of the hotel and the front desk will give each person a free ticket each day.Due to COVID-19, you select a tray of breakfast food from the reception area and take it back to your room.
We stayed for 10 nights and absolutely loved the quirkiness and the lovely service from the front desk. They also offer tons of cute little amenities like wine Wednesday coupons and free street car tickets for 2.5 hours per person. The only reason why I give it a 3 is we asked 4 times explicitly to have them do a deep clean on Saturday and Sunday, and the cleaning staff only took out our trash and changed our towels. It was extremely disappointing because I was very clear on our expectations and didn’t want to nag, but still made myself clear. And yet, no one cleaned our room.
Very expensive for the quality of the rooms. I felt like the floors were a little dirty, and the shower wasn’t clean. We stayed on the first floor, and had a nice patio with chairs(very nice). Wish it was a little cheaper, but otherwise a great place!I will be giving this place another try soon! Thank you!
Amenities and space made this a far better decision than a standard hotel stay. They have done a great job with Covid adaptations. Its on the street car line, but noise was minimal. Great location, excellent shopping and dining options within walking distance. Felt very safe no concerns. Would stay here again!
Staff and facilities were more than accommodating. Centrally located to many of the excellent restaurants with the Portland area. Four Seasons Market is within walking distance should you choose to fix your own meals. The walls and the floors do allow for some noise. I must say that part of my sensitivity to this issue was greatly influenced by the lack of parental involvement of children running up and down the hall. 😊 Other wise, the coffee in the lobby is the best, Continental breakfast was well stocked and the garden terrace is a great place to enjoy some of the great Portland spring weather.
No security in parking lots - Beware of car break-ins!We have always stayed here whenever we are in Portland and our stay has always been pleasant. However on the early morning at about 6am on 20 May, 2021, our car got broken into. The whole back mirror on our car were broken and there were glass everywhere. We were parked on the first lot in the overflow parking lot and so it is actually very near to the hotel lobby. Another car was also broken into on the far end of the parking lot at the same time on the same day. Surveillance video showed it was done by 2 white males and they looked like professionals. It was shocking, we felt shaken and frustrated. They took 2 bags of new clothes and 1 bag of misc stuff with gifts for friends. We told the staff on duty that day what happen and he was emphatic and tried to be as helpful as he can since he was the only one at the front desk. From what we understand from him, this is something that happens quite often. And that is why there is a slip of paper upon check-in disclaiming that the hotel would not be responsible if the car is damaged or for any loss whilst parked in its premises. But i feel that this information should be disclosed to guests checking in so they would be made more aware of the risks. We didnt bother making a police report because honestly what use can it be. We are just really glad no one was hurt. I am not sure if the management is aware of these thefts and break-ins, and if so, what and if anything can be done about it? Im not sure if well be back to stay in this hotel wondering if my car would be broken into again. I seriously hope that the management can take some action and install more security measures to protect the safety of their guests as well as vehicles from damage or loss while staying within its premises.
We have found our home away from home when we visit Portland. I cannot think of a hotel that fits our needs better, anywhere. While not luxurious, who really needs those frills, Inn at Northrup Station has everything a person needs while visiting. Being older, our needs surpass most. The rooms are large, with full kitchens. Our king bed was comfortable, and with chairs, desks, a couch, theres always a place to sit to enjoy the two televisions. Location is amazing, restaurants, bars, shops galore, but real, not touristy. The Inn is in a Portland neighborhood, in a city that treasures neighborhoods. Service works hard, and is gracious. The funky design reminds me of the original Kimpton hotels, before they became corporate. Colorful and quirky, the Inn at Northrup Station represents the bohemian soul of Portland. I loved our stay. We will be back.
Love the eclectic design with bright bold colors. Every room has a full kitchen and balcony. Location is perfect with dining options all around and right at a streetcar stop for easy access to downtown. Staff is wonderful. Free parking is a Great bonus. Continental breakfast is small but high quality. Be sure to get the fresh made coffee in the lobby. Well be back here as often as possible.
We have a great time at this hotel only disappointment is that I wish the trip was longer. Our stay was only for one night. Staff was helpful when we asked for directions. We were also able to request a later check out. The room worked out well for our family of 4. It as clean, spacious and cozy. Having a kitchenette that was stocked was a bonus. The location was ideal- close to where I needed to go for my appointment and right on the street car route. Plus being downtown with parking and street car tickets included in the cost of the hotel was super convenient. We definitely will be back.
Unique, meticulously appointed units and public spaces, impeccable service and amenities.I stayed several nights (mid Covid! while exploring Portland. The soft top bed and pillows .... incredibly comfortable. Nicely equipped kitchenette, ample desk and workspace. Right on the streetcar line and with in walking distance to restaurants, bakeries, shopping. Almost perfection! My only minor critique is the living room furniture was a bit uncomfortable.
This is our fourth trip to this fantastic hotel. It’s in such a great area of Portland with awesome restaurants and bars nearby (and. Trader Joe’s down the street if you want to cook because they have kitchens in the rooms). The rooms are lovely and spacious with the most comfortable pillows and beds. Super clean and they took great safety measures to make us feel safe during our 3 night stay! We highly recommend this hotel! It’s our home in Portland!
By far my favorite hotel on our road trip across the country. I loved it from the minute I walked in with the vibrant colors and the friendly staff. The rooms are really spacious and have a really well equipped kitchen. In fact it has pretty much everything to make you feel at home (if there was a laundry facility, I might as well have moved in). There are plenty of fantastic restaurants in walking distance. The real kicker is the free tram tickets that you can use every day to see the beautiful city. Next time Im in Portland, I know where Ill be staying.
Clean, Comfortable, Highly Recommend for Long-term StaysGreat space in downtown Portland. Close to restaurants and NW 21st. Walking distance to New Seasons. The room was a great size, having a kitchen available was the prime selling point. They had a variety of pots and pans, even some bake-ware. It was pretty quiet, especially considering the streetcar passes directly in front of the hotel. Room was clean, the bed was fantastic, staff were extremely kind and friendly, good coffee available 24/7 for free, good internet.
I really loved this little place! It is filled with fun color! They do a wonderful job of staying in their theme. The rooms are clean. They even left 2 masks for us! What a nice addition. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooftop deck has a grill that you can use. It worked great for a late grilled dinner! The kitchens are stocked very well. We didnt feel like we were missing anything. I would recommend this place to anyone!! Definitely going back here!
