Description
Privilege
Beautiful art gallery and fabulous place to visit.
Spectacular works, super friendly artists.
Amazing time!
Vibrant modern African art in the gallery and a relaxing coffee shop
A lovely and nice place in a quiet area in kigali. Loved the welcoming and cheerfulness of the staff and the vibes there.Higly recommended place for social and cultural events on weekends.
MoreThe art is breath taking and the African tea there is marvelous.
Lovely place with lovely art promoting local artists and training orphaned children and those living around the community. The latte I had at the cafe was also very good and every part of the center was artistic. There were local artsy items on display for sale like ornaments, bags etc and various collections from all around AfricaThere was a dance and song practice by the children in the evening also.
MoreThursday Happy Hour is back! Surprisingly it rained a little that night which made those of us there interact a bit more when we were under the covered areas. Nice vibe and atmosphere. Though I wish they could bring back food served by an outside restaurant like they used to e.g. Meze Fresh or Pats Bangers
MoreYou can find Rwandan contemporary arts
Overrated and very expensive gallery. Is not worth a visit unless you love expensive modern art.
MoreHad a great time. Happy hour (2 for 1drinks is back and the DJ was on point.
I found someone at the entrance who was very friendly. He showed me around, answered all my questions and even helped me find my way to the Rwanda Art Museum. The art pieces are amazing! The joint is worth stopping by if you are an art enthusiast and you find yourself in Kigali.
MoreGreat art gallery, lots of vibrant paintings. The artists are welcoming and it also have a cafe outside to sit and relax
MoreThursday Night! Start off the night here! Fun vibe. Interesting to meet local artists and have a couple cocktails
MoreA nice gallery set in a house with modern painting and a fun garden with sculptures. The visit takes about 15mn. The fact that this gallery is on the ‘to do list’ of Kigali says more about the limited number of attractions in the capital than about this gallery…
MoreAwesome collection!! A place to relax for creative inspiration.
Entry at Inema Arts Gallery is FREE. You get to see some very nice artwork from Creative artists. The best day to go is Thursday afternoon to evening coz they have a the local Rwandan Dance. The Inema Coffee Shop also has happy hour. You can also buy art to take home with you.
MoreVery lovely place and very beautiful art gallery and thank you for the amazing service
MoreWorking artists with gallery showing there beautiful artwork. Paintings, 3D art, very talented.
MoreIt was nice to meet local artists. They paint in a really difference styles, so any visitor can find something what fits there taste. Visit is free and you have an opportunity to buy something in the suvenir shop or to get one of the paintings. They got an amazing fog too.
MoreGreat paintings. I loved it!
Beautiful place! I was surprised that it was free to enter. The mastery of the art, is brilliant! Great space and a lot to absorb in.
MoreVery colourful cool place to see the joint work of many artists. My favourite artwork was the different portraits of women in the hallway. Absolutely stunning, feels like they are speaking to you. The manager showed me around and also told me that they teach children artwork for free. The souvenir shop sells handmade bags and wallets made by women in the neighbourhood. There is also a cafe where you can relax.
MorePerfect way to spend 1 or 2 hours in Kigali while supporting local artists with your donations or by taking painting/crafts classes. The surroundings are well done and invite you into the arts world of rwandan artists. There is a gift shop where you can purchase some artworks and craft. Part of revenue generated from the center goes towards the community
MoreVery kind service who is open for interesting conversations about the Rwandan art scene. Beautiful gallery with various paintings from different local artists.
MoreThe environment is peaceful and the artwork is amazing
Cool place. Worth a visit. Tranquil. Very welcoming and interesting things. Take your time and relax in the garden
MoreOne of the best Art centres in Africa.Good pieces of art.Good location.Small restaurant available.A source of inspiration and beauty.Photography is not accepted in this place, so I just took a few pictures and decided to take in the beauty.
MoreBest of oil on canvas arts by Rwandese artists.
Amazing art, breathtaking view of the hills out back, happy hour favorite spot and an amazing team of Artists
MoreWhat an experience!Inema Art centre has a rich display of great art collections in East Africa.I had goose bumps just reading the bio of the artists and seeing the great piece of art that they have hanging on the walls. Its such a place to also catch up with friends. There is music, drinks and place to seat, especially on Thursday and Friday night.I had fun, although I didnt stay for too long because of the loud music and needed a place to have a proper conversation with friends. If you visit Kigali, Inema Art Centre is a place to visit.. Confirmed!
MoreNice place to have a peace of mind and drinks. Art works are authentic and founders are kind gentlemen!
MoreFew places in Rwanda are so interesting and fun at the same time. World-class art like you wont find anywhere else in East Africa in a friendly setting. So inviting. All of the artists are world travelers and have probably been to your home town. Good fun, great art, nice place to visit. Go Thursday night for best cocktail party in Kigali.
MoreA family run affair, all the art here is made by four or five brothers. They are a great bunch, and it’s great to see a place like this in Kigali. They also support local artists and we had a great lunch here with our delegation. The garden is great and a wonderful afternoon can be spent here.
MoreNice gallery with some nice work and an outdoor terrace that hosts an after-work party on Thursdays.
MoreThe creativity of the art pieces was off the hook. Such an inspiration! Much love from Uganda.
MoreGreat, beautiful art; small studio; scenic views. Too expensive for the average joe, but great to look at. Wish I could have made it for the live music nights on thursdays. They also have yoga there as well which is pretty cool. I could see this being a cool place to just hang out for a drink with friends.
MoreLoved the Gallery. Every piece told a story and it was interesting to see their works super creative and talented artists in Rwanda.
MoreNot very impressed. Wont say bad but not something I would purposely make time to go see. Just happened to have some spare time to pass by.
MoreLoved this centre. The art work is stunning, with an amazing variety of artists and styles. Lovely little cafe for a drink on the premises. And if youre lucky enough, youll get to see the artists at work on new art works in the garden. Also a lovely souvenir shop on site.
MoreDefinitely worth checking out. A very creative, friendly, hip feel. The art is pretty amazing. Very talented artists. It is expensive but beautiful to wander the galleries. Worth 45 minutes to an hour of your time!
MoreI really appreciated this center and what it is trying to do in Kigali. Meeting one of the co-founders was a highlight. Emmanuel is humble and his positive energy is infectious.
MoreAlthough the majority of the art works are beyondthe purses of the average visitor dont let this stop you from calling in. There are affordable pieces from community artists. Helpful and welcoming staff and owners.
MoreInema is a gallery with a studio and cafe, displays from 10 regional artists from Rwanda and Uganda and apparently quite the spot on Thursday nights for their happy hour/night.
MoreA beautiful art gallery, nice for a quick stop. It was a very expensive beer though.
MoreSupercalifragilisticexpialidocious street artsy place. Felt a little like Berlin at their Thursday party with outdoor and indoor space, a dark dance floor DJ and a very colorful crowd. One of my favorite places in Kigali for sure.
MoreI visited Inema to view the amazing art. Entrance was free and I took absolutely amazing pictures. If I would go back to Rwanda, I would definitely pass by. Check out their hangouts on Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons...
MoreThe art works on display here are beautiful but be prepared to have deep pockets. The smallest pieces start at $300 and go up to $5000 for some. That said, I would gladly hang many of them on my walls. The centre was founded by brothers who are friendly and always happy to chat. There is also a small cafe that sells cocktails in the evenings.
MoreThere is a reason this place has a top spot on every Kigali list - 10 self taught artists, 6 of them brothers are represented here. Its the place for modern art in Ruwanda and if you find something you like, the ship internationally for free :The community work they do is very worth supporting and the whole place has such a cool, welcoming vibe that will remind you of Brooklyn, Shoreditch, Berlin.. highly recommend.
MoreVisited to see and learn a bit more about the Rwandan Art Scene, met the five brothers who talked about the art experience, saw some great pieces, loved the pewter pieces especially the submerged river hippo. Grabbed a bite and a glass of white wine at the cafe!
