Indus - Indian restaurant in Bangkok, Thailand
That’s a pity that they don’t serve Panipuri on weekdays. I must go next time on weekends.
First time visit and have no idea about India food.Food is good quality.Nice and gentle staff.Male toilet should be renovated.
All around an excellent lunch! We went for the buffet option which is available from 11am-3pm every weekend and public holiday at 950++ per pax. For the quality and great service this was extremely worth it. The tandoor dishes were very tender and smoky, the naan was light and crisp and the curries were deeply flavourful. Creamy broccoli and the e-malai chicken were exceptional. Highly recommended.
Look no further for delectable Indian in BKK. It was a perfect April night so I dined in the verdant garden, but I also didnt have a reservation so Im lucky to have a table at all (kind thanks to the host for that). I enjoyed tender flaky white fish in a creamy red curry alongside fragrant garlic naan. Exquisite experience from beginning to end.
Excellent Indian food, the atmosphere is a bit dull but ok, outdoor area looked inviting and cozy. Service was excellent
Considering the taste, it is still good, but I think lately all the dishes are too expensive considering the same taste, like going two people spending each 1000 up for simply Indian food is a bit much. Also the cutlery are too oily and dirty, paying in such price we do expect to get a clean plate, the teapot was literally “oily” like it wasn’t washed properly:( so sad the we need to keep asking for plates or spoon to be changed!!! Not to mention how the waiter used his hand to change the complimentary dish, literally using his hands to remove:(I can’t imagine who would be the customer getting that!!!It used to be one of my favorite places, but my last visit changed my perspective
The food and desserts are really fantastic. Nice wooden entrance gate and interior. Perfect and shall revisit for sure.
Superb food and service. One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve visited in a while. Michelin. Definitely recommended
The most delicious Indian food we have ever tried. The desert was really tasty and the drink was very refreshing. The environment is so relaxing with attentive staff. Highly recommended!
Love the service and high quality food preparation.
Above average indian food for my taste and flavours are well balanced for most dishes and I really like the setting and decoration of the restaurant, its very beautiful house and comfortable to dine in.
I am surprised that the restaurant has a Michelin star because the staff is completely unprofessional, especially the managers name is Minto or Matto, I forgot now. He thought that I was of Pakistani nationality and started talking badly about Pakistanis and their restaurants and did not provide a table for me and my family. When he knew that I was rich and had experience in restaurants after arguing with him and that I had experience in restaurants that received a Michelin star, especially in Verona, Italy. He offered his apologies and offered me a table, but I did not accept from him
Average to a little above average Indian food. I think the decoration and ambiance was spectacular however the service was basic. Similar to another review I would say that the flavor of the food weren’t as strong as Indian food typically is so would be very good for foreigners or those new to Indian cuisine. Price was okay. Overall would come here again if prompted. The Chicken Tikka was very tender and yummy!Parking is available and service is excellent.
All-in-all a slightly above average experience. The best part was probably the comfortable setting and ambient. Food was average but could be much better for the price. The butter chicken was not as creamy as we would’ve liked but had a little kick that was quite refreshing. The chicken tikka was very tender but the flavors were on the more acidic or sour side. Regardless, the crispy crackers that came at the beginning was yummy. Very crunchy and had a smoky aroma. As for service, it was nothing special, just what you would expect as a minimum standard for a restaurant. Would come again if there is an occasion to do so but would not take initiative to come back.
a bit pricey but food is very good regardless
Indus is a very traditional, gorgeous Indian restaurant. The atmosphere is great with gentle music and attentive staff (some do not speak Thai fluently, but they are patient). Every dish is presented with classy styles, befitting of a Michelin Starred Restaurant as well as a price to match. The ingredients incredible, their tea is calming. Their portions are of the medium to small size, and the Lassi (milk looking drinkI want to say was interesting. I tried the salted lassi and let me tell you it was a great experience I will be trying once. If you want a cup, anything but salted will probably taste better, not to say the salted lassi was bad, it was just concerningly disconcerting to my tongue. However, the main gripe of this place, to me, is that this is very ‘bland’ Indian food when compared to most other Indian restaurants. Out of every Indian restaurant I’ve had, this is the weakest in flavor but however, it is by no means bad. This is most likely as the dishes are catered towards foreigners who may prefer more pleasant aromatic flavors rather than the striking dishes of most other restaurants. The restaurant has a very mellow flavoring in all dishes which I believe would be very much liked by any who may find most Indian food too strong. This is a good place to take someone who’s not good with strong flavors to introduce them to Indian food if you are willing to pay the price. Otherwise, if you are looking for, with all due respect to Indus for their gentle, finely crafted flavors (deserving of their star), “authentic” Indian food—head somewhere else.
a michelin level indian restaurant that boasts great dishes from all around indian provinces. i enjoyed the non-traditional take on dishes especially the okra and lamb rak. nice garden area and private rooms for large groups. worth to go once in a while. service was a little slow and unimpressive when the place was full
Brilliant taste. It is not traditional Indian taste so it make me to have it easily. The presentation is so nice and service is super. There are indoor and outdoor - you can select which area you prefer. I would recommend this restaurant.
Excellent fine dining Indian restaurant. Thoroughly enjoyed every dish. Servings were generously sized. Dishes were beautifully presented. Flavours were authentic and distinct. Service was quick, friendly and welcoming.
I would give them 4 stars ⭐️. 1 deduct for not wearing the mask properly. Although it’s free mask and most people already receive vaccines but I expect the staffs , especially cookers, chefs who work in F&B (not just hereare continuously wearing the mask as some customers have children, elderly, and family at home.Beside from that the food is great. It’s one of my favorite Indian restaurant in bangkok
Excellent!!!Cheese nan is a must. All grilled meat dishes are wonderful.
Excellent Indian food. Naan cheese was exceed expectations. But some menus are a bit pricy. A car park is available.
Fantastic Dinner here at Indus 🙏🙏This is my second time here. Great Location at Sukhumvit 26 .....Decorations here is really beautiful and Foods are delicious. Recommended everyone who love or want to try Indian foods...Yummy 😊😊
For the tourists 🇺🇸🇬🇧: SUPERB 2020/2021 MICHELIN DINING EXPERIENCE. A must visit for BKK Indian food. Service is remarkable. My waiter walked me to the ATM machine a few buildings away after the restaurant had closed when I asked about an ATM location. This is unheard of service in the modern era and deserves our patronage.
Requested for an outdoor table. The staff were polite and accommodating. Great tasted Indian food, not too spicy. The only complaint were about the price and cleanliness of our table. But liked it in overall.
I enjoyed the nice atmosphere and the food is very good. Was very happy with the requested extra spicy Mutton and if anyone is looking for a quiet place for Indian food in a nice place, this is certainly the place to go.
There was parking in the front...limit spot but was good enough for a restaurant in the middle of Sukhumvit. The starter and butter chinken look good but teste was fine, no wow factor, expected to be more since they even put ** on these on the menu. Even more surprise when they served us naan. Chinken tikka was delicious. The service was good yet still didnt really feel like dining in a Michelin.
Cocktail order took forever. Appetizers were amazing. Im a Chicken Tikka Masala connoisseur, too bad this menu at Indus didnt meet my standard.Price is reasonable for Michelin restaurant. Highly recommend for anyone who is new to Indian cuisine.
The food taste so good. Suit to us that we dont like the strong flavor. The services also very good. The restaurant ambience also so good. You can enjoy your food here. Recommended..
Ambience is nice, spreader over big Lang in center Bangkok near phrom pong mall. and manager / reception is hospitable.About Food I would say just okay not like indian because its made suitable for foreigners like sweet curry and not spicy. So for ambience and people 5 star 🌟 and for food 2-3 🌟.
Came in and they told us it was super busy and nearly full yet when we sat down there was many empty tables, waitress was very polite with us, butter chicken curry tasted pretty good, rice portion was decent, cheese nan was not very cheesy. Then the curry, saffron rice and cheese nan bread were not warm so we had to get a them replaced, price doesn’t match the quality here unfortunately, feeling underwhelmed.
Indian fine dinning cuisine, good tase but a bit expensive.
Delicious Indian food, great breads. Service impeccable. Wine unfortunately very expensive. Set menus are not available despite that you can find them on the website.
One of the best Indian restaurant in Bangkok. Deserved for Michelin.
Elegant atmsosphere with authentic decor...spacious garden for open parties, special room for dance floor and bollywood excitement...all indian main courses prepared very well, robust and tasefully served, great cocktails to go with the samosas...can grab order but a must dining experience..🥘🍹
I tried their buffet offering, quite pricy but the food are all well made. The meats are especially juicy, smoky and tender and the grilled broccoli are very creamy and flavourful despite it being grilled whole. I am also very enjoy the black lentil dal which both rich and creamy and going very well the selection of naan and pharata which are bot excellent. AllFlavours are kind of the same across the dishes though. It taste great but as an all you can eat, they tired me out after a while. The free palate cleanser drink works and very tasty but ultimately I wish they included a a menu with more varies flavour in the package.Ultimately most of their delightful at first bite but not that great by the end of the meal. Its still probably one of the better Indian restaurants you can find in Bangkok and wont leave you disappointed (if you know what youre ordering)
Pet friendly 🐶!!! (Outdoor)We went for a brunch, the price is affordable, many kinds of dishes to choose, and good quality also. If you gonna chose brunch buffet, better have some friends go together then you can try more type of foods, street foods is the best! 🥙🍗The service is very good and the staff are very professional. Even it’s outdoor, but there’s 3 big fans around our table, not hot at all. 👨🍳💁♂️About pets, they allow pets sit on sofa, and they will give you a towel to cover sofa first, dogs can walk a bit in the big yard. And they provide poo bag and some cleaning spray, really professional pet friendly service. Of course offering water etc.🦮🐕🦺🐕🐩This is the first Indian pet friendly restaurant I’ve been in Bangkok, had a really good experience with my friends. They deserve 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Me and my family not a big fan of Indian but Indus is exceptional. Not only me but especially my daughter she loves it, especially butter chicken and samosa. I love the tiger prawn.Today we tried new menu Scallops... excellent!
Very delicious Indian food. The staff were very polite and helpful. Lots of vegan choices. Recommend booking before going or you might not get a table!
solid indian food with a good mix of fusion and traditional. i wish the curries were stronger and spicier in flavour and the desserts were less sweet but otherwise, everything else tasted really good.
This place was AMAZING!!! the staff were super friendly and helpful, the decor is gorgeous and so is outside for sitting in after you eat.We chose the weekend brunch menu and for the price (950bahtwe got sooo much! The waiter suggested trying one of all the starters which was a great idea. Would definitely recommend it and will be back again for sure 😄
Best Indian food in town love the atmosphere inside and outside. Service is also best too. Food is very very nice very delicious. I really recommended Khatte Baingan (eggplant onebutter chicken too both are the best menu for me. For parking they have a little bit small parking area but they have valet parking for you don’t worry about it.
Loved it. Great food. They have gluten free and vegetarian options, which we need. We got the okra fries from the starters menu and they were delicious. We ordered 4 main vegetarian dishes that were good. Its pricey, but worth it. Staff were friendly and attentive. We would recommend this place to friends and eat here again for sure.
Good and diverse Indian menu. Liked paneer tiranga and kebab-e-malai. Also tried Khatte baingan and its not to everyones taste. Nice gulab jamun - sweet and as if made of cottage cheese. The interior is stylish, but the place is expensive.
The very best Indian food in Bangkok. Food is very refined and flavours are subtle. Service is attentive and excellent too. Well recommended!
Came here for the Sunday brunch. The food, service, atmosphere were all excellent. So many dishes, lots of choice, many vegetarian and non vegetarian options. Loved the onion bhaji, broccoli, paneer etc.. Hope to be back again soon. Thank you team Indus for the surprise at the end!
Great Indian restaurant. Located at the city center of Soi Aree. There are brunch menu all you can eat which served many of various Indian food from snacks, North and South part with a small portion so that you can try every single of them 😉. As my understanding this restaurant more specialize in Northern food.
Weekday lunch set is just 500.- per person. Its about 6-7 course for a meal. Garlic naan with butter chicken tikka is so good. I ordered chicken dum biryani and tandoori lamb chops both are yummy!
I’ve been in India before, all i can say is Indus is a lot better than many of restaurant there. The taste is very original and intensive.I’ve order around 4-5 dishes, included chicken and cheese here. But i can’t remember the name at all. There’s some complimentary crispy things, able to eat with indian sauce. Indus is One of the best indian food experience for me.
Somehow their brunch didn’t quite live up to my expectations. While the menu is large... it lacks something. I, unfortunately, can’t put my finger on what it is but something is definitely missing. Was a big fan of their curries but ones offered at brunch was only so so. Would still recommend them (for nowbut best going outside of the brunch hours.
