Indie Spice - Indian restaurant in Naas, Ireland
Went there for dinner recently. The food was really good and even on a quiet evening there was a good atmosphere in the room.
Best Indian restaurant I have ever found. Cannot say enough compliments about this restaurant.
Tried ordering tonight. Refused to deliver outside Naas as they were short on delivery drivers. Indian girl extremely rude on the telephone.
We have always loved this restaurant but in the last year the service is dreadful. Take away food arrives cold, the portions are incredibly tiny and the prices are much more expensive than other Indian restaurants. Food tastes great but its not worth it. We got one poppadom. We ordered aloo gobi and literally half a portion came tonight. There was hardly any chicken in the dish. We spent €98 for a family dinner of 5 and it was freezing cold. We had to heat in the microwave. I remember when we use to spend €50 and get a free bottle of wine. Portion sized were fair once upon a time also. I am getting so tired with this restaurant. Its expensive but we never minded paying because food was great and portions were good but this is no longer the case. Im so disappointed because I always lived this restaurant 😪
Phenomenal food, and great service. Very friendly staff
Food was amazing, and the staff were too.Highly recommended
very bad customer service , charged double delivery fee , very bad manners even on phone , the food was cold as well , not going to order
Great food, as always, friendly staff as always, service was a little slow and I would put that down to the end of a busy night. We booked a table for 9.15, travelling from Dublin, all ready for our normal visit, to one of our favourite restaurants which we have been frequenting for the last 15 years or so. We arrived a little early maybe 10 minutes or so. After a little of a slow start, we did manage to order our food, starters and mains, which as normal were fantastic. Unfortunately there was a sting in the tail. While at 10.45 just about to order our desert and a coffee to finish the evening, my wife was ordering a gin and tonic (which she thoroughly deservesto be informed that the bar is closed, we were also informed that the kitchen was closed. Maybe the opening times on the Web should be changed and customers should be informed of these times while booking a table so late. The manager (a very rude little excuse for a mansent a young nervous but very pleasant waiter over to inform us of the situation. My wife, 3 gins in, was none too pleased and called the manager to deal with the issue himself instead of sending the young waiter to do his bidding. I now understood that this excuse for a manager was actually a little old fashioned in his views of women as he totally ignored my wife, and as a little boy would, left others to do his dirty work. He did make his presence felt by talking quite loudly (not in English), while making his feelings felt by banging and pushing tables around, while still reverberating quite loudly to the staff of which we were in between both parties. Feeling quite uncomfortable we asked for the bill, which was wrong but not as you would think, we were undercharged, we did bring it to the attention of the waiter and asked for it to be corrected, as it was. I am sure he was a little stunned that we would do such a thing but that is the way we are. We then asked if we could leave a tip, again the waiter was apologetic and could not believe we were actually going to leave a tip, as we did. So for us now it is the end of a long loyal relationship and I hope the owners of this fantastic restaurant put a little more time into training their managers or choosing their managers, the one thing in business that I do know is, people deal with people they like.....and I think it is time for this little BOSS to be retrained. PS I will try to remember the good times, still fantastic food....but never again, I gave it one star because there was no option to give it less, all because of one rude little man.
My last review is below but standards are much improved recently !I have upgraded to 5 stars today by editstandards have dropped- you used to see eg cardamon pods and other component ingredientsNow you get a sauce of oil, tomato paste ,chilli powder and sugar.2 things are in their favour -competitors are even worse and staff are polite
Great food really tasty with attentive and friendly service. Great location and they also serve wonderful cocktails. Will definitely return
Best Indian food in town (Naaslittle bit pricy but it worth every single bite
Dont know whats going on with this restaurant have been eating here with years. The food has always been of a very high standard went their today arrived at 5.30 and by 6.20 had still not recieved are starter. To mention also that the portion size has gotten smaller as recently. The food quality has always been good at this restaurant but the last 2 times I ate here, I had to complain about food either being cold or wrong dish came out from what was ordered. We have always been loyal customers always returning but I feel the quality of service and food has gone down.
Great food ,would definitely recommended.
I considered going here because I was craving dessert.I was shocked by the managers response stating that we dont allow customers to have just dessert and this rule is made by the owner itself. They are permitting it this time, but not the following. I was quite disappointed by the experience here and will not return.
Proper Amazing Indian food for sit down or take away, Staff are Lovely, not overpriced for what you get, We have travelled 80km round trip to go here on special occasions, if your not from the area well worth a visit if travelling past Naas
Good Indian Food restaurant, tasty food , good portion size and price is decent.Clean toilets for guest.Parking is available off road.
The best food and drinks in Naas. Sohel is a genius with cocktails and a gentleman
Beautiful setting. Delicious food. Friendly workers. What more do you need.
Always enjoyed meal here but last 2 times was appalling service was very slow and when finally arrived was the wrong dish. Gone downhill wont be returning
Great food and amazing cocktail bar with an expert making cocktails of his own recipe and many classics too.... Well worth a visit!!
Have been here a few times, great food, service is very good, staff helpful & friendly.
Was very dissapointed with our meal...starter came out it was cold and small on a big plate.Main course I got 2 bits of Chicken in my dish and rice amount was very small and cold.Portion sizes have reduced and plates got bigger will not be doing a return visit and I used to love this restaurant. Overpriced for what you get to eat.
Went to Indie Spice on Saturday , ordered our food and waited for the popadoms to arrive and they never did,(quite disappointed). Our started arrived which was lovely , a shared veggie starter.I had ordered Tandoori started for my main as i don’t like a lot of meat, this is described as boneless chicken pieces (which i’ve had numerous timesbut came as a leg and some other part of a chicken? I brought this to the attention of a supervisor or manager i believe as he had a white shirt on and everyone else had a red and black shirt on. He proceeded to tell me i should have been given the option to order boneless or bones !!!!! Total excuse , should have apologised and taken it off the bill .Anyhow i ordered a side of masala sauce to go with my rice etc and to my horror realised when the bill came they charged me €7.50 for the sauce …..madness .It is such a pity because I love this restaurant and order takeaways quite regularly but you can see where they are trying to cut corners and make a profit instead of looking after their customers and they will comeback again and again.
Used the app for the second time for a takeaway. Impressed, very efficient system and we had been offered a discount which the app picked up and automatically but into the basket. Arrived at 6.55pm for a pick up at 7pm and left at 7.08pm. Food was fab, one of the best tasting Indians around.
Have eaten here quite a few times. It’s a lot better than some other Indian restaurants but there’s still room for improvement also. Food is quite heavy and there’s usually a pool of oil left on your plate after each dish. Service is good and always with a smile. A bit pricey though for what you get and not sure it’s worth the premium compared to others.
Not a great experience. My starter was still frozen in the middle and I received the incorrect maincourse. They were willing to change it for what I had ordered but I didnt want to waste the food so I ate what I was given. When finished, my original order arrived at the table 🙈 The staff are friendly and pleasant but I feel the food is incredibly overpriced for what we received. A tiny maincourse with 5 pieces of thinly sliced chicken. No plans to rush back.
Im over here working so needed somewhere to eat. Its a bit of an unusual layout. Takeaway downstairs restaurant upstairs. To get upstairs you feel like your walking through the kitchen. The decor and the staff are great. The food was also great for taste but it feels like just a taster dish. Chicken Tikka Massala. Lots of sauce, six very small bite size pieces of chicken €18 as a main dish of those size is not very good value for money in my opinion. Then garlic naan tasted more like plain no garlic. All in all woukd I return again NO due to cost V quantity.
Food is nice but delivery is always a nightmare. You can pick your delivery time on the app and they will never be on time. Could be as much as an hour earlier or even an hour later than the requested time. Even when it’s just asap you could be waiting forever. Maybe to suit other deliveries in the area? Not great, also very frustrating when you’re planning around kids bedtimes etc! They came once when we weren’t even back home yet!! It’s also quite expensive, and have recently increased their prices! It’s really an expensive takeaway if you’re eating in
Only one word to describe our first experience in Indie Spice tonight...appalling!! We usually go to the nicer restaurants in Naas but they were all booked up so we tried this establishment.Over-priced...€18.50 for Chicken Tikka Massala and you have to pay another €3.50 for rice...food was poor quality and the kids meals were very small and tasteless...service was slow and clumsy...never again!!!!
Over the years i have over looked a few issues like very late deliveries, and the price increases, very expensive in my opinion. But the final straw for me is that the last couple of orders they have barely put in a half chicken breast in dishes we have ordered.Personally i will never order from here again.
Amazing place with a good ambience and that to complemented with a great food by the chefs. Clean and refreshing. Most popular among the traveller groups and locals.
We recently got a take away from here and it was very disappointing. It is like they have changed the recipe of the tikka masala which used to be creamy and luxurious now seems to lack in flavour. My starter was burnt. Also, the extortionate pricing of one starter, two main courses with rice and one naan bread over €50.00! Will not be ordering again and it is a shame as we used to really enjoy the food from here.
I am a frequent customer of this restaurant I called to say I got a delivery and all my food was cold as ice the stuff was rude and when I asked to speak to a manager she hung up world recommend to t use this restaurant to anyone. As I was a loyal customer will never order again
Fantastic place and delicious food, everything is done with great care, staff very friendly and professional. Great Experience, thank you Indie Spice Naas
Always busy! One of the best in kildare
Horrendous experience, ordered takeout when delivery got to us 1Hr 45Mins later it was cold and had been sampled by someone else, so either delivery driver was hungry or he delivered it to wrong address and went back to retrieve it l when he realised his mistake. Rang the restaurant and they said they would immediately replace the order. 1 Hr later and 11.45 at night no sign of the order, rang and asked to speak to owner but was told he was busy. Asked for refund still waiting. They obviously need the money more than me because they have decided not to refund us. Avoid this place at all costs.
Ordered our food, it took 1 hour 45 minutes to get our food - it was cold and one of the 2 main courses ordered was missing. I was then told it would take 40 more minutes to replace the missing dish with no apology. Terrible service.
Excellent service and food and a good atmosphere in the restaurant
Absolutely delicious food and a lovely welcoming atmosphereI believe I had the Phamous Bambaiyya Bhel, the Karari Amchoori Bhindi and a Peshwari naan. It was all so amazing, the flavours were incredible I thoroughly enjoyedWill definitely come back next time Im in Naas!
Food great flavour. Food not hot enough though and plates cold so after 2 mouthfuls my meal was cold. But made us the food we wanted off menu and were so thrilled with the flavour.
Amazing costumer service and dishes that take you on a trip to the heart of India ! The place is clean and beautiful 5/5 will be back soon !
Overpriced for what we received for example just the korma sauce and a breast of chicken diced in it costs €16 with no rice or chips included. Beef was very tough. Our other meal came out without the sauce or the rice served with it until 10 minutes later.
Excellent food, amazing service. Dont let the small entrance fool you, there are huge flavors here. Big menu and great wine selection.
Good ambience, friendly people but food didnt taste good and portions in thali were tiny. Big chunks of potato curry, another curry was sweet, one portion of natural yoghurt was salty. May be it was wrong time in afternoon or 20€ thali was a bad idea.
Nice place with OK food. We love and know Indian cuisine but some dishes here were made just more in European style.Still great hospitality and welcoming staff. The second time we only came for mango lasi and were a bit disappointed as we got it in a lot smaller glass that was also mostly filled with the ice. In my opinion they should keep the things they are offering on the same menu-the same.
Good food, great presentatio and spectacular service. Would love to visit again 👏
Amazing Indian. 1000% coming back or going to one of there other restaurants. Its a proper fusion restaurant, displayed precisely, all of it tasted amazing, staff were so helpful and friendly. Well worth the money. Interior was very modern, looked like a cool bar. Everyone around seemed very pleased as well. Highly recommended Indie Spice
Just had a most wonderful dining experience at Indie Spice. The food was first class, the service so pleasant and helpful, the whole ambience was perfect; from the decor to the authentic music and classy dishes and plates. Cant recommend this place enough.
The most gorgeous place, food was absolutely amazing, staff was very good, strongly recommended place
A highly recommended choice for Indian food in Naas. The menu is diverse, and everything Ive had had been very flavorful and well prepared. The staff are polite and helpful, and the service is quick. The restaurant is clean and well appointed, and I was happy to see that the toilets were set up as three single use, unisex rooms. If you are in Naas I would highly recommend trying them out. I like my food very spicy and was not disappointed, while my wife and daughter both prefer their food mild and they were also quite happy.
