Lovely location overlooking the Waterfront, with such a tasty menu we couldn’t decide what to get so had the chefs special tasting and he decided for us. We loved the choices, the selection of 4 curries doesn’t look as filling as it was! The taste was excellent and they were all so good it was too hard to pick the favourite! Highly recommend you give them a try.

What a beautiful setting. Great food, extensive drinks menu and a fresh modern atmosphere. I have been here a few times now and always impressed. I like that they change up their menu but keep my favourite dishes. I especially love the bao, the butter chicken curry and the curry tasting set. The gold cutlery makes you feel like royalty!Staff are warm and friendly. My instagram followers always ask about this place when I add pics of the food to my stories. Highly recommend 👍

Third time dining at urban , delicious food every time , varieties of drinks selection, very good staffs . We will be back again

The worst biryani (Bombay biryani as they sayI have ever had. It tasted like I was having a microwaved chicken with some fried rice. The price is almost doubled the price you would gels elsewhere with better taste. Never again.

Ordered Bombay chicken biryani.Seriously this is by far the worst biryani that anyone could ever make. It was not even biryani. Chicken was cooked a couple of days ago it seems, there was no freshness and only left with smell. It appeared the rice was heated up in microwave at the last moment and was served. 28$ for this biryani is not at all worth.

The place is nice, the food is OK. But I dont like to be ripped off at all. Paid 40$ for their so called NT urban Barramundi and this is what we recieved. Had a chat with the person who call himself the ‘Manager’ and his excuse was his venue is expensive.Been to this resturant few times with family and friends but sadly this time i am waving Good bye to this place.

Incredible experience at this restaurant! Fantastic location and the food was unbelievable- good portion sizes and very tasty. A great range of different cocktails too which were tasty. Good vegetarian options. Would be nice to have a toilet in the restaurant (is around back of building and is accessible).

The food tastes as good as it smells. We got lured in by the smell from outside.Wow! Fantastic to say the least. The staff are friendly, food is amazing.., and the tables are normal size! Makes it easy to have a great share meal with a group. Definitely recommend and will be returning

Excellent meal great service. Cauliflower treats and lamb on naan for entrees were great, followed by a coconutty goan prawn curry and eggplant curry. Highly recommended.

Terrible customer service, they cant seem to put an order together correctly and blame the delivery service. Paying money for food and not receiving it is quite bad especially for the price. Food is average, too many bad experiences with this one!

Beautiful food .chef tasting plate is worth the try and great value.great if there a few of you as youll get a variety on your entrees. Cocktail selection is delicious too

I had read some bad reviews of this place but hey thought to try it anyway. Staff were lovely food was fantastic and served very promptly. I dont understand the negative reviews, yes staff could have been a little more on the ball, but overall it was a pleasant experience and yes I would hi back

Great dining experience. Friendly staff, tasty dishes ( we ordered cauliflower for entre, goat curry, chilli prawns, roti and nan and cardamom brûlée for dessert - all consistently above expectationsand very good collection of wines as well. The goat curry and the cardamom brûlée were exceptional. Despite busy evening and widespread impact of staff shortages our dishes arrived within minutes. Impressive. Highly recommend

Urban spice deserves nothing less than 5 stars. From the moment we arrived the level of customer service my partner and I received was astonishing, the staff were all very friendly and accommodating, the food was incredible, we have agreed its our new favourite restaurant! The service was quick, the portions were very generous and we were blown away with the prices, very affordable!Well done Urban spice, we will definitely be back!

We came to Urban Spice to celebrate our anniversary and it didn’t disappoint. The sharing plates are a great size and offer lots of variety. If you are coming to, or are in Darwin, put it on your list of places to eat at.

The best Indian restaurant I’ve eaten in, in years. The goat, prawn and chicken dishes were beautifully presented, succulent and delicious. We’ve ordered a lot of food and there was nothing I didn’t enjoy eating. Biryani and roti were just right, although I think I’d enjoy biryani even more if it had the meat requiring longer cooking than chicken normally does. Still very tasty!Simply put an array of aromas, spices and flavours joined together in a beautiful symphony by a master chef.This would normally be enough to win me over, but this place also have The Drinks, and these could stand on their own. They were very well thought through and put together, definitely an experience worth the money.Best food and drinks on the waterfront.The only thing that requires work is service, but this is true for most places after covid.I’m happy to put up with the wait and little lacking in attention to detail when it comes to service if the food and drinks arriving to the table are this delicious.

Had an amazing night tonight , food was great and amazing . although they were super busy they were able to greet us and provide us table . we had amazing experience and was worth waiting. customer service was superb and surely love to visit it again when we come to NT again.Great customer service 10/10food :10/10

Long wait on food! Had to walk out. Waited for an hour but food still wasn’t ready. I had to pay for drinks even tho we waited for an hour and for their slow service! No customer service or respect for others time. Extremely disappointed since this is second time we encountered it. If you are not equipped to serve that many people then dont take walk in and prioritise the book ins. Ruined our anniversary dinner. 😡😡😡

Apparently this is considered online bullying, be a good manager and learn to accept when you are in the wrong. Service at this place has always been bad and need to be reviewed, learn from your mistakes and your staffs mistakes, be open to YOUR costumers feedback. If you learn from mistakes then maybe you won’t have costumer give you bad feedback.

Do not book here online or they will call you to Harass you because they provided bad service. You don’t invade someone else’s privacy by calling them on personal number because it was given for booking purposes not to harass. They will tell you how wrong you were because they can’t serve customer. Worst customer service inside restaurant and outside too. Avoid this place at any cost if you don’t wanna get harassed. They will claim they are trying to help you but in very sarcastic tone.Just read reviews below how they reply to other customers too.

The staff here were lovely and super attentive, we were recommended the momo’s which were delicious. Also ordered Biryani which was a huge serve and we were able to take it home us -thanks- meals looked great and tasted better could not recommend this place more - yummy cocktails, nice atmosphere reasonable prices - Thanks so much for making our anniversary dinner amazing - will be back soon

The food was really good but their service was bad. They were all really lovely they were just not onto it. We were told to order drinks at the bar and then to go sit down and someone would attend to us. Took them forever to come to our table and it was hot, we were thirsty. Was alot of this during the night. Really nice food though, slow to come out but was the weekend so we all understand. It was fresh and tasty so made up for the issues in the end. They missed a few things on our order but they just fixed it up, gave my coke to someone else so we had to order another. At the end when we all tried to pay we were told by staff to goto 3 different spots to pay. Very confusing.They seemed unmanaged like staff were running around confused, seemed like they need more direction from a manager on shift or maybe more staff put on.

This review is a few weeks overdue. Really loved the execution and delicious ideas of the entrees, would have loved to see that spread more through the mains. Unfortunately our mains were forgotten so we waited over an hour but atleast the service was friendly. Will come back

Food tasty but not hot in temperature. Did send back entree as was too cold. New one came out a little hotter. Don’t think they were expecting do many people Expensive for what it is.

Food was delicious, and the environment was amicable as well. The only concern is with the incomplete marketing, advertised offer was one plus one free but the actual offer in house was cheaper one for free, the food we ordered was not much different in terms of value, but would have been better if i had known before i ordered.

Must have had an unlucky Saturday night. The Elderflower Martini tasted like lemonade with icy poles, no hint of elderflower. Raita was bland. Chicken Birijani was dry and tasteless. Did not taste like Birijani. You could see it was mixed with white rice. Prices are very high for what you get. Entrees were good. We had octopus and murghal chicken which were both good. Was a bit disappointing since the restaurant has so many good reviews.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant. Servers are great and always efficient, happy and polite. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal.

we ordered chicken madras, beef malabar, garlic naan and basmati rice. delicious but beef is fatty and grisly, not very good chunks.

Fantastic food, excellent flavours and amazing presentation. Good quality and attentive service. Tried several appetizers and two mains all received well. Would definitely recommend this for a modern Indian twist.

Urban Spice is now my new favourite restaurant in Darwin (have dined here a few times). On Saturday night we had our YourSmileDental Christmas Dinner and the experience was faultless. As always, the food & cocktails is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with the experience. The floor staff are great and always happy, attentive, accommodating and polite. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Darwin.

Great ambiance, good food. Loved the chicken bao, and lamb kebab. Didn’t like the butter chicken. The sauce was good. But the chicken was bland. Tad bit unhappy with the portions and the slow service. The coconut and passion dessert was good. Keen to come back to try other dishes.

I actually had a really great meal here, have only taken a star off as the feedback from the others in my group of 6 all remarked that their meals weren’t as nice. I guess my tip would be order the vegetarian options on the small plates menu. All very delicious and good portions. My friends that ordered meat options were not as happy as I was. Good service and a great drinks menu too.

Hands down best Indian food in all of oz. so so fresh and flavoursome. If you’re after good veggie food this place also dosnt miss!!!! Oh and cocktails are AMAZING!!! If you’re in Darwin you’d be a fool to pass this place

The food is exquisite. Beautifully presented and incredible flavours. The chefs clearly spend time and take effort with each dish. The best new restaurant in Darwin. Personal favorite are the cauliflower entree. I could bowls of them.We also tried as many of the cocktails as possible, they’re also great. Some rare and unusual drinks all delicious.We will be back!
