Elegant, upscale eatery with outdoor dining area serving modern and traditional South Asian dishes.
If you want to have a great Indian food, look no further. We had a great experience at Indian Zest and enjoyed one of the most authentic Indian Veg food.Kudos to the staff too. Rahul Singh was really helpful and ensured we had a great experience.
A lovely evening to dine out. Warmly and politely welcomed, we loved the curry we ordered. I had the Duck Anjeeri with lemon and ginger rice, super tasty and rich. Generous portion, I couldn’t finish my meal but I asked for takeout and was happy to finish my meal at home. Will definitely come back to get a taste of the rest of their menu.
What can I say other than an excellent Indian restaurant that I highly recommend.
I booked a table for 20 to celebrate Diwali with friends. Amit was very helpful and worked closely to ensure we had our menu sorted to avoid delays on the day, as it was a busy Saturday night. He even worked off a spreadsheet I sent him with everyone’s orders. We had a table for the adults and an adjacent one for the kids who were all teens. When we arrived the food came out quickly and beautifully presented. The wait staff took care of our group and everything went smoothly. The food was delicious including the desserts. They have some vegetarian options which you rarely find in Indian restaurants but are much loved, like the jackfruit (Kattalcurry and also for dessert a beetroot halwa similar to the more popular gajjar (carrothalwa and delicious. Overall a lovely night and the best part is that I did not have to micro manage as they were well organized and professional in their service. Ambience was charming too... the restaurant is a home which has been refurbished, so quite charming with a vintage feel including the wood staircase leading to the party seating area upstairs. There is a small paid parking lot right next to the restaurant in fact the restaurant entrance is via the lot, so that was convenient as well if you are able to get a spot there. Amit was very easy to connect with prior to the event, which made group planning much easier. Too many pics to post but have included a few. Will be back!
Service, food , decor and location is all 5 star. Upmarket indian restaurant but worth the extra pennies.
First and only visit whilst boating on the river Thames but we had a great meal. Quite trumpy prices but its Sunbury so 20% dearer but was a good curry and 8 people enjoyed it.
Great food, very tasty. Plenty of room to sit, tables not too close together. An enjoyable evening
Ambience was good👍Food was okay 👍Overall it was just about okay..nothing that you can visit again and again.
An authentic Indian restaurant that offers a near fine dining experience. This is a cut above the average Indian restaurant that offers freshly cooked dishes with a more sophisticated touch. The ambience is very good, the service is excellent, and the food is wonderful. Wish we had discovered it years ago. Wine by the bottle is reasonably priced but you pay a significant premium if you buy by the glass.
Authentic food, nice vibe. Lovely staff.
We have been a few times now, I love the authentic food & the staff are just lovely, I love the little shot glass your given with the warm (soupits now our favourite Indian restaurant
Amazing food and a good atmosphere. Very happy with the customer service
I had booked a table for 2 on Saturday night as it can get rather busy. Lovely atmosphere, great menu. We had the mixed starters and then king prawns and lamb chops. Small beetroot soup served as an appetiser. The food has subtle spicing and is delicious. I had taken my friend and it was her first visit, she was super impressed. Thanks
Bit disappointed to be honest - we had many good recommendations for Zest but personally I didn’t find the food that good… Maybe I had hyped it up too much, or possibly because it was a delivery but dishes were a little blandOn the plus side this is not a greasy, standard kind of food place. The prawn koliwada starter was very flavourful and gave me some false hope. What followed did not have the same level. A chicken biryani is always a good good benchmark (at least for meto how good or bad things can be. Zest’s was more boiled chicken with rice unfortunately. The chicken Makhani was too much tomato soup flavour and hid the other spices. Paneer spinach did deliver some improvementWe have not ruled this place out and will try again but to dine in. Perhaps we ordered the wrong dishes too so will also try something else off the menu
Normally have had good service here but few months back we had a booking and the head waiter looked at us blankly. We then sat upstairs and ordered our food. My father is a strict vegetarian yet they served him keema Nan which isnt even on the menu. They apologizedv and the same waiter from earlier offered us "free dessert". Pathetic they didnt even offer to not charge us for such an awful service. Their apology seemed half hearted as well.
What a lovely place , visited 1st time as just moved to Sunbury, very professional staff excellent service, food was outstanding, very high standard ! Will recommend this place to everyone.
Very bad at service ! Went for Lunch and reached at the restaurant around 14:25 as the closing time mentioned was 15:00. But there was a board already outside that it’s closed ! Someone from inside came and informed us that kitchen closes at 14:30. This is not a good service as they should mention all this online.
it used to be a very good indian restaurant, but that was before the pandemic, now , I dont know if they changed cook or for any other reason, the food is below average. Its a shame because I live in the neighbourhood and it was very handy having a good restaurant near by...
Decent food but serving size is small. Slight effort towards cleanliness would have helped as there were some house flies in the restaurant. The food quality was good.
Over priced. Food ok not the best. Staff lovely
Great restaurant, friendly staff, great food, lovely terrace especially in this weather, will go again
Quick service for takeaway even on a Saturday. Good food and a food selection/variety.
Great service and delicious food. Would definitely recommend and look forward to visiting again.
Exception food in beautiful setting, absolutely recommend this restaurant for any food lovers.
Best curry on the Sunbury Riviera and as close to a REAL Indian feast as you can get over here. Service, taste and setting are in perfect sync with this special restaurant set in a period house.
Really would recommend. The food is made ‘properly’ with everything marinated so you can actually feel the full flavours. This is not a ‘curry house’, the food is prepared diligently.I had some of the best onion bhaji’s I’ve ever had in here!Prices are very good, we went Sunday lunchtime and there was a special on for 2 courses. The decor is also very nice, seems to be based on 19th century & stafff were friendly.I would definitely recommend.
The lamb dhansak is a must. Great service and range of drinks. Very nice interior.
Great service.awesome food, my lamb dish was soooo tender and flavousome, onion bhaji very tasty highly reccomend. X
Phenomenal!THE BEST INDIAN RESTAURANT I HAVE BEEN TO (INC IN INDIA)Everything about this restaurant is five star. The food is authentic and of excellent quality, portion size is generous and service is superb. Price compared to an average Indian is higher, but compared to a top flight restaurant (which is what the compares to food wiseis actually much better value.Poppadoms (3 choiceswere tasty with no hint of grease. The dips were superb. The scallops as a starter were perfectThe thali was out of this world and well worth the price tag.Service was excellent, all in all a terrific dining experience.
Absolutely superb. A lovely Indian restaurant for a special occasion! Food is unbelievably good but it’s definitely on the pricier side. Definitely recommend!
This Indian Restaurant is truly a hidden gem in the heart of Sunbury on Thames. We truly enjoyed our meal there this afternoon with family visiting from Brisbane, Australia. The waiters were professional as always. The food is simply the best. Always fresh, delicious and truly authentic. Every mouthful was simply divine. We will be back again for sure. Highly recommended their vegetarian thali. The plus point is, parking is ample and its located a short walk from the scenic river view.
Ive been visiting this amazing restaurant for the past 7 years and they have always delivered great service and excellent food. Ive taken friends, family, clients and colleagues to this place and they have all enjoyed it. Its an absolute treasure in the village for dining.
We love this restaurant. After years of dining at many great Indian restaurants we could not believe that a whole new level was possible. But it is. The bakery options are unrivalled and virtually every dish is unique. You will never go anywhere else!
I was here for dinner with friends. Ambiance is good. Food tastes great. Service is great. Everything is perfect about this place. I would definitely recommend this place. Portions are sufficient. One extra perk, there is a paid parking right beside the restaurant.
A lovely restaurant, great food and interesting decor. This was our first visit since lockdown ended and we were not disappointed. We opted for the 2 course lunchtime menu which is always good value at £13.95. The chef will always adjust dishes to suit individual requirements. We took some vegan friends there a couple of years ago and they were delighted when the chef prepared vegan versions of the lunchtime menu just for them. A great restaurant.
Food and decor of a good standard. Would have been 5 star if there was a complimentary drink offered for the 10% service charge (like many Indian restaurants doAlso someone in our group ordered a chicken curry and a completely different dish was served. When questioned about this the waiter just said you ordered it and pointed to the menu, no attempt to ask if we wanted a different dish to enjoy our meal, as the one we were presented with was a spicy dish.Overall considering the price of the meal I’d say it was good but nothing special.
It was the best Indian restaurant I have tried till now.Non oily food, excellent blend of spices, good value for money, mouth watering and light food. Thanks to our friends to invite us in this lovely restaurant. 😍
Service excellent & food properly cooked with no fake colours used for a change. The best Indian Ive had for a few years now. Highly recommend. Cost was quite reasonable considering the quality of the food
Best Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to, food is exceptional and service impeccable, great atmosphere too!
Looks nice from the outside, but that doesnt do it justice. Inside the restaurant is nicely decorated, but the garden patio area is a lovely haven of tranquility. Then the menu is not your run of the mill Indian restaurant menu, but it has good variety, we had a lamb dish and chicken dish and both were tasty, well spiced and well cooked. On top of that, it is very fairly priced - £10-15 mains, £3-5 sides etc.Really cant fault this place and we will be back.
Best Indian Ive ever been to, they give you a spice drink first and then serve the most beautiful meal. Lovely fancy Indian place Ive ever been to!
So Ive given it 5 stars in the past and Ill generally stick by that. When Ive been previously, their food has been varied and tasty, the restaurant is a nice place, nice decor and staff have been friendly. My most recent visit was a bit more disappointing with a more limited menu and the staff werent as attentive HOWEVER this was at the beginning of May 2021 when we were slowly coming out of lockdown and they were probably still transitioning from their takeaway menu.Regardless, all the previous times I have been were great. Would recommend.
A very authentic indian restaurant. The food is always delicious, the staff is very polite. The good thing is, parking is free after 6 oclock.
Fine evening good food spoilt by intolerant fellow diners. A group complaint that our toddler was making too much noise. Clearly they never had kids who ever were small or cranky at times.
Love going to this place , food is so delicious and service was really good.
This place ambiance is really good. The test of food is fine and will say near to authentic indian food. I visited this place for team party and we order many different curries , indian breads , Kabab platter also we tried sweets. I ordered Rasmalai as sweet which was really good with vanilla ice cream. The cost is little higher. It cost me £30 for that meal.Overall good restaurant with many food options and good ambiance.
Excellent curry house in Sunbury with a wide selection of dishes, including deserts which aren’t frozen. Service was excellent and everything tasted wonderful. I highly recommend the Vindaloo with a Peshwari Naan.
Great place and the food was very nice and tasty. We went for the lunch time special at 13 pound per head. Its only a short drive from Hampton Court so if you have a car its defo worth going to. Parking is available for very cheap.Food is halal as stated on their website. I asked too and the confirmed everything is halal other then the Duck. Always check
Fine dining experience, great authentic Indian food with excellent service. It has nice decor and well maintained. Quite impressed with the menu options also they have separate menu for gluten allergies. Highly recommend for Indian food.
Best Indian I have found in the area. Very affordable and tasty lunch menu.
