In a dining room with exotic artworks, the menu & buffet offer a range of classic dishes from India.
Delicious food and friendly staff. Would recommend!
The food was amazing and the staff are nice and helpful…the tikka masalah will be the best one that you might ever have,It is zayeka’s speciality!! We highly recommend it.Al-Mudahka from 🇶🇦
As a nomad, it isnt often that one gets to taste food from back home the way its meant to be... or even better! Eating at Indian Zayeka means getting an authentic taste of India right here, in the heart of Lausanne with its melt-in-your mouth naans, ridiculously delicious vindaloos and meat dishes as well as lip smacking entrées and vegetarian fare. The quality is impeccable, the quantity absolutely sufficient and the taste is exactly what you always knew (or at the very least, imagined!Indian cuisine would taste like but might never have actually able to pin down before. And to top it all, the management makes sure that you arent just welcomed into their restaurant but are transported to a cosy nook in the back alley of your hometown as you savour delicacy after delicacy!
Definitely one of the best indian places in Lausanne. Food is delicious, staff is super friendly and the vibe is amazing.
Very good Indian food. Lunch buffet looks good but did not try it.
Excellent! Very tasty, authentic, good quality . I enjoyed a good moment with friends and the waiters were very nice also.
Very good buffet, veg and meat on offer. Best Ive found in Lausanne so far.
Amazing Indian foods! Also the owner is really friendly
Awesome place. Delicious food and super kind staff. Highly recommended!
Good food with very attentive staff. Best Indian food we had so far in Switzerland during this trip.
Best Indian food I’ve ever had. I Love it!We are coming back! Generous portions. Big choice of tasty dishes. Excellent service. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Amazing authentic Indian food served with warmth. Great service from the staff and owners
Just had another amazing dinner at Indian Zayeka last night. We sat out on their terrace and the temperature was perfect.I usually stop by at mid-day for their buffet, which is always a treat. Nice salads and 3 hot starters, naan, a few different rices and a meat, poultry, fish, shrimp veggie and dal main. But I digress from the dinner. Finally had 4/5 of the family together so we could really order a variety. It was great. We had: onion bahji, aloo tiki, crevettes tandori and raita for starters. This was followed by cheese naan, the poulet makhani, poulet shahi korma, agneau saag, rara gosht, dal palak and riz citron. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS. Even the Swiss Syrah was great. And for the bonus, we took the "rests" home and had enough to serve dinner for 2 tonight!Indian Zayeka has been serving fantastic, traditional Indian cuisine for more years than I can count. Im always grateful for what they do.
Hi, One of the best restaurant in Lausanne. If someone would like to eat most authentic taste of Indian food this is the place to visit.Thanks..!
Very nice restaurant, clean and friendly interior. Ordered takeout late on Saturday but they were still able to fulfill the order on time. The service was top notch, the family that runs the restaurant is very kind and friendly. And most importantly, the food was excellent, the best Indian Restaurant Ive found in Lausanne to date!!
Great food, fish achari, paneer Tikka, daal makhani, laccha parantha, and chicken kadai was awsome... great Indian flavors..great service. Friendly owner from jalandhar... awsome, and dear himachli cook... great experience.. 👍
Super delicious food and very well priced! The owners were incredibly nice and checked up on us several times. Best Indian food in Lausanne for sure. Will be revisiting soon!
Literally the best cheese garlic naan I have had here in Switzerland! Too good of a meal and very friendly owners ☺️And a major sign of a top-tier Indian restaurant: saunf, mishri, and toothpicks for you to end the dinner with.
Excellent food, and amazing hospitality! Must visit place if youre craving authentic Indian food in Lausanne! Will definitely visit again. :D
The most tasty , authentic , delicious genuine Indian food. Balanced flavors . Would not be wrong to state that probably best Indian restaurant in whole of Switzerland , even Europe. I would travel 100 miles additional to have food at this place. Absolutely amazing food & overall experience
Absolutely amazing food! The owners are extremely kind and nice people. and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend going there!
Excellent restaurant and very hygienic place. Best food in all of Switzerland and a must visit especially for the quality of service. The owner herself is a wonderful person to talk to and very accommodating for all guests. A true joy to eat here, the Chef is very talented.
No second thoughts. Head to this restaurant if you want to eat authentic Indian food. Paneer is homemade! Soft and full of flavour. 1st time I ate samosa made of dough made inhouse instead of spring roll sheets. Friendly environment.
i think it is the best indian restaurant in Lausanne.Location is a bit weird (residential areabut not let that fool you - the food is just AMAZING!!!
Great food for fair prices
Lovely restaurant, delicious food and excellent staff/management. My wife and I were very happy and satiated after eating lunch here today. Tandoori prawns, fried onion rice, chicken fry and chicken curry were the winners today! Others dishes were awesome too. If you like Indian cuisine, you’ll thoroughly enjoy this place. Thanks Indian Zayeka for the lovely afternoon!
The ambience is very nice, options for food is also good. They also ask for the kind of spice level so you can get it customized. Food quality good. Can visit for the nice evening or nights.
The best Indian food in whole of Lausanne area. The owners are very welcoming and greet you with so much politeness. Really liked their food and would recommend everyone to try their different cuisines.
It was a delicious meal. I enjoy visiting them regularly, This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, wide range of delicacies and wonderful desserts. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again.
This place looks like a canteen, and not a great deal of effort made to create a great atmosphere. HOWEVER, do not be misled, this is probably the best indian food in the region.Excellent food, reasonably priced, friendly staff, I go often. Strongly recommended.
I visited the very famous Indian restaurant recently. Unfortunately, my personal experience was not very nice. Firstly, the waiting time before taking the order and after ordering the food was very long compared to other casual restaurants. No offence but Secondly, the place is claimed to be reserved at the restaurant area so we were given place in cafeteria but atleast to my notice, we did not see any guests coming until we left (which was almost 2 hrs). Thirdly, the food was okay but not worth the wait. Finally, I had to deal with stomach issues the next day.The host was friendly to talk but my personal experience as a foodie could have been much better.
I had heard about this restaurant from some friends and also checked its good ratings from different websites.Overall, it was a very good experience and I highly recommend this place to Indian food lovers. The food quality was really good, prices were reasonable, the ambience was cosy and the staff were very friendly. The waiting time to order and have the food at the table was a bit more than usual but for us it was not a problem since we were enjoying talking with friends.
One of the best option for vegetarians. Authentic Indian food, very delicious. The owner Preeti herself looks after everything. Great team as well Silvia was super awesome and fast. Food is absolutely smashing,
Best Indian restaurant in Laussane, Switzerland. Food test was awesome and beautiful ambient. Great service. Jain food options available at this location. I tried Jain Sahi panner and Roti with mango lassi and it was delicious. Must visit.
We expected a lot from this restaurant considering the high rating. However, we waited soo long just to order, I think it was more than 20m, then we waited another hour for the food to arrive as we thought at least the food must be good. But, food was horrible! Rice was not fresh, I ordered korma that tasted like burned coconut milk(and Ive eaten before, this was not the taste). My friends ordered other things from the menu and also were not satisfied. We could not eat half of what we ordered, but not because we were full. Please if you keep your guests waiting at least make it worth while. As google doesnt let me comment on your comment, I will write here. No, we did not take ANY dish at home. AND at least you couldve told us that there is more than an hour wait. Some of was were working all day and starving. Of course we will eat something...
Shame, the poor service does not give credit to its excellent food. Ruined the experience. They run a take-away while hosting over 25 tables, they simply cant cope with the demand and they dont prioritise. Waiting 1h20 minutes for main course, the people behind me 1h30 for their soup! When confronted the owner about the wait, they got very agressive blaming, not even an apology, big shame.
The waiting time was too much but the quality of food made it worth the wait. We ordered Daal Makhni and Paneer Butter Masala, both were amazing. Service was pleasing. The fresh buttery Naan and Tandoori roti were the winners. Worth trying if you love Indian Punjabi food and are in Laussane.
Wonderful! I’m delighted to have found an authentic curry in Lausanne. The food is always hot, fresh and creamy. I order through Smood and they’re also always on time.
As an Indian living in Lausanne, Im so thankful this place exists whenever Im craving real Indian restaurant food. Most things Ive tried have been super yummy. In addition, nice ambience and the management is warm and well-trained as well.
Atmosphere:Great! The restaurant set up was super beautiful and spotless.Service: Cannot fault anything. The owners were super nice to us, they were always ready to give recommendations and suggestions to our pairing to make sure that we could all try everything. Very amicable and warm. We had a lot of laughs and a great time!Fluent English - something that we appreciate a lot when going out to restaurants as we do struggle with French as much as we tried so this really made us felt at ease.Food: Amazing! Hit the spot for everyone on the table as we all prefer different levels of spiciness and flavors. Will definitely be returning often!
Incredible Indian cuisine ! I strongly recommend this restaurant if you are ever in Lausanne ! The chicken biryani and chicken tikka masala are the two main dishes that truly stand out. Do try the paneer and butter chicken, they are also delicious. The mango lassi is also great. The restaurant has pretty maharaja themed decor, with areas that are suitable for seating big groups.Hosts Preeti and Harmeet are very kind and hospitable.Thank you for a wonderful lunch, will definitely come back !Photo: Close up of the mouth-watering Chicken Biryani. I was too hungry to take pictures of the full table laden with aromatic dishes, sorry !
We simply wouldnt eat Indian food anywhere else in Switzerland. Their cuisine is authentic, fresh, main meals delicious and entrées surprising! Overall impressive! Love it!
I’m from India and Ive lived in Paris, Munich, London and now in Lausanne. I must say that this is definitely one of the best beat indian restaurants i have found in Europe. The food is as authentic as it gets, and the staff is nice and friendly. Worth the visit.
Its the best Indian restaurant which Ive ever been. The food is awesome, properly cooked. I must taste all the menu!
Hands down the best Indian food in Lausanne. Have been probably 10 times in the last year. Service is efficient but very warm and charismatic. Menu is strong with some surprising options, particularly in the lamb/beef category. Portions are very healthy and complemented well by an extensive choice of naan breads. Take the opportunity to sit out on the ample terrace area in summer. Well worth a visit!
Wonderful cuisine. Very friendly and helpful family run business who takes pride in what they offer. There is a nice lunch special with a lovely combination to select from for CHF 25. Highly recommended. Great location and pleasant and relaxing to simply sit outside in a secluded terrace.
Best Indian food in Lausanne. The owners are extremely polite and show great hospitality. The staff is also very warm and nice. The price is reasonable considering Lausanne is an expensive city. I would recommend everyone to go there if you wanna eat authentic and delicious Indian food.
The food was delicious and the service very good in a little delay in preparing the meal and the price is a little high but the restaurant is worth a visit.
Best and authentic Indian food. I really like Ambience, food, staff and the service. We just had dinner their with family. We are in 2 weeks Europe tour. Have been to different Indian restaurants in Interlaken and other places. I am glad that we stopped here on the way to Geneva. This restaurant is just amazing.
One of the best places around. Consistent good quality food with warm hosts and amazing ambiance. Highly recommended for both buffet and from the menu dining ☺️
