Indian Pavilion - Indian restaurant in Tauranga, New Zealand
Favorite shop! Come here every time. Literally delicious!
I have been going to this place over the past 10 years and the quality have been up and down. I gave it another try just maybe over year ago and have been converted back again. You know its a good curry place if they cook fresh to order. If you havent been. Give this place a try. Yummy at a decent price too for lunch. 11$ and you get any curry (they have a long list of optionsnaan bread, rice and a softdrink to boot. Really good value for the taste and price point.
Worst food I have ever had.Tasteless food and the quality is not good. (Specifically, the curry is very tasteless)Its not good at all.
We needed a indian meal for a get together on Sunday evening and found Indian Pavilion on Google maps and looked at the reviews and decided to try, we are in Maungatapu, the ordering website is amazing and very easy to use. Meal was on time, friendly staff and great food. Thanks π. We will be back.Dave
God damn that was good! Had the lunch special, chicken Rogan Josh (hotit was perfect, served with rice, naan and a can of soft drink (if you want itall for $11 cant go wrong π
Excellent standard of food and service, atmosphere. Very good prices. Bar opening soon too
Best butter chicken dinner special I have found in Tauranga, highly recommend if you are looking for an affordable yet tasty dinner.
Beautiful kai fast friendly and affordable. One of the best Indian takeaways Iβve had in a long time. Thankyou ππΌ
Friendly crew my lamb was good but not much in the container.
Tasty and good value for money
I LOVE THIS PLACE..MEALS ARE NOT OVERPRICED AND VERY WORTH IT. So SO YUM AS I LOVE MY CURRY LOL. I DID AN OLINE ORDER HAD IT DELIVERED AND IT WAS FRESHLY HOT I never go anywhere else. !! I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU ππππ well done
The food here has been consistently tasty, delicious and cooked well. We prefer the spicy butter chicken not the sweet version that many Indian restaurants serve in NZ.This restaurant serves as requested by the customer. The naan is always soft, fluffy & fresh. The mango lassi is thick and tasty.Itβs a delight to order our favourite dishes from here, and itβs the reason we keep coming back.
Small, quiet restaurant, but theyre good. Their fish curry is the bomb.
Beautiful Indian butter chicken. And the size for price wasnt too bad aswell. Service was A +
Hot, tasty and ready in 20 minutes all with a smile, now thats service!!!
A good old local, always open whenever I want to enjoy a change of menu, yum π
Great service, food was ready before the pick up time. Butter chicken was not too sweet. Overall, it was delicious.
We used to be regulars, food is pretty good. The last time we ordered it was supposed to take 20 mins, however there was a 45 minute wait. No apology, no explanation or update - they just let us wait. Wont be going back.
Lovely freshly cooked food, we did the lunch deal an the curries, rice an nann were delicious, childs meal was good too an generous portion. We did have to wait a while for our walk in 20-30 mins but it was worth it, will definitely be back again soon.
We called to order a dairy-free AND nut-free dish and the person on the phone was really helpful. Then when I came to pick it up, he helped me through the menu marking which items and making recommendations for the same for next time, spending several minutes talking me through the menu. The food was delightful and enjoyed by everyone who shared the meal. Indian Pavilion is one of the best Indian meals we have had. We will certainly be back. Thanks for a wonderful experience.
Food is always delicious and staff are all really friendly
Good place to try chicken tikka biryani and fried riceππ
One of the best indian takeaways in the area.Have tried a few and now I dont even consider going anywhere else.
I had the kumara masala. Requested for mediun spicy it was so spicy get sick. Food was tasteless. I used to go their often. This is second time very disappointing. Wanted to return food n ask for money back. Late night so left it. Not happy or suggesting others like used to do.Well a bit of update.suddenly my phone rang n it was a call from Indian Pavilion team. A sincere apology along with offering a meal or money back with assurance to do better. Wow!!! Didnt expected that not sure how they got my number though but yah a pleasant response from d team. lets see how my meal will b on my next visit. For sure will go back there only if get a satisfactory meal. Thank you to the pavilion team. Keep up well workCant believe the hypocrisy guys. U guys have called me offering money back or free meal at any time. When I went at there for money back today u guys place a deal to me. Either I have to take off my review only then will return my money. When I deny to delete my earlier review, u guys deny to return my money n said as its long time earlier so can give me a replacement meal on; unless I take off the review no money back. N here on social sites writing so much lie. Very poor customer service skill with utmost dishonesty. Lots of Indian restuarant is around not necessary at all to coming back at Indian pavilion. no ways...sadly to say buy to most visited place but for sure other Indian restaurants deserve chance.
Orderd an chicken tikka, cheese and garlic and some curry very tasty and recommend everyone if you want some authentic Indian food.ππ
Best Indian Ive had. And Im a long time lover of Indian cuisine.
Oh dear, bitterly disappointed in butter chicken. Bland, tasted like Watties spaghetti sauce out of tin. 8 small cubes of chicken in full takeaway serve. The garlic nan wasnβt garlic and tasted like pancake. Should have gone Own Masala
We often get take aways from them for dinner and love the food as it always taste great.Indian Pavillion is one of the best curry places in Tauranga.
Great service and really nice indian food with a wide range of selections.
Nice staff, yammy butter chicken and cheese nan.
Best Indian in Tauranga. Beef Korma and Mixed Veg curries were delicious.
This is a severely under rated Indian restaurant. At the East end of the Chadwick Road shops in greerton.Amazing food, helpful staff, and well priced. My new fave Indian restaurant.Dine in or take away meals.
One of the best takeaway restaurant in Tauranga, very clean place, loved the food. So tasty, I recommend every people to go and check the food. No one will be disappointed.
Food is nice but quite tasty. Mutton curry is my favourite though. Prices are fair. But make sure to count your change before you leave the place. Donβt know if this thing only happened to me or not. But just be careful. :)
very great place and service, lots of varieties of cuisine, I recommend every one to go and check it, you will love it.π
When in birkhead we always visit. Tastiest butter chicken ever. Fabulous ambience and very pleasant owners.
Love this place so much. Nice and quiet, friendly staff and love that they play music. 100% recommend going to the Indian pavilion. The portion of meals there will feed a tribe. Me and my 2 babies go there at least once a month to get our fix. They love it here
The chicken Korma and Butter chicken meal was absolutely beautiful. I;m so happy I live close to your restaurant, thank you for a beautifully executed authentic meal :)
First time tonight on the back of a recommendation and it didnt disappoint, very nice takeaway meal. Thanks Guys.
I recommend the public to call into this take away the food is great including fresh naan ππ. Order what you like and eat till your hearts content
its was awesome i was buy my fav curry kadhi paneer by last 2 years and the taste was same like that which i was buy 2 years backand also one of the best thing is their customer service there way of attending customer and warm welcome make customers happy
We had a horrible experience here. The butter chicken was the worst Ive ever eaten I asked for mild and it was so spicy that myself and kids couldnt eat it. We returned to the store to ask for a refund and they are being very difficult accusing us of trying to get a free feed as we returned 1 of the 2. That is because I dished up the first one for the kids and they screamed at me with how hot it was. I did not return the other pot as it was already dished up and mixed and had spoons in it I left the second one unopened and returned. They dont have very good customer service and dont want to listen or believe me when Im trying to give them constructive criticism. All I want is our money back and will not return there.
Sadly we were bitterly disappointed with our butter chicken meals tonight. Worst butter chicken weve ever had. Asked for mild. It was medium, could barely eat as it was too hot & spicy. Also ordered garlic naan. They were very puffy & fat but we couldnt taste any garlic at all & they were dry. The sauce actually tasted like Watties butter chicken sauce in a can. It also turned very watery as it cooled down. Tried to enjoy it but just couldnt. Unfortunately we cant recommend based on our experience π
Very bad taste I have ever had in my whole life...The alo gobi is bad taste not even tasting like gobi . We wont be back. I recommend not to go.
Very tasty, prompt and the naan bread is delicious. A small is more than enough for one person. Would highly recommend
Amazing and they know the difference between vegan and vegetarian so thats awesome again. Food is delicious I cant complain great service. Always come back here
Fantastic Indian Cuisine, would 100% recommend this to anyone. Delicious food, and the quality is very high with low waiting times.
I would definitely recommend this place. Despite of its location (not in the city center), Indian Pavilion still managed to be one of my most favorite Indian restaurant in Tauranga. Their food tastes delicious as always, and I have never had any bad experience with their customer service nor their food. Keep up the good work!
I too use the lamb korma as a benchmark of quality and that just goes to show how varied individuals are because in my opinion it is the best in Tauranga
When you are spoilt for choice you do get get a bit picky. The butter chicken here is good but we were not too impressed with some of the other curries. Korma is normally our gauge and it was not as good as other places in Greerton. Not a great place to eat in since it looks a bit tattered.
