Visitors can see an array of exotic & native animals & ride camels at this seasonal habitat.
Great place to spend a few hours with my daughter. We usually bring a friend or two with her. Not sure what I like more, seeing the animals or the awesome employees that work here!Everyone is always so kind and professional. So much to see here! Have fun with all the animals, spend some time at the craft tables, and then enter the gift shop to enjoy a stuffed animal or two!To the female employee sweeping up leaves, youre our favorite!!! ❤️
The place was nice clean and well kept. Some of the animals looked very sad but I guess thats just a human emotion assigned to an animal which is not always accurate. There was definite evidence of creating larger bigger and better habitats for the animals in the works. I will go back again it was a pleasant experience and we were able to get up and close to the animals. Nice job!
Interactive zoo experience. You can get up close to animals unlike commercial zoo experiences. You can pay for an encounter with sloths, lemurs, camels, giraffes, & birds. Not as crowded so you can really take your time. Mostly mammals and a few primates with a small indoor area with a few reptiles.
Really cute zoo with lots of animals. A lot of the animals you can feed them so I would highly recommend buying carrots at the entrance for the animals! It’s great for kids and easy walking trail. I loved seeing all the animals close up. Some of the info closures seem small but I have no idea if that’s good for the animals or not. They looked happy overall. My 15 month old daughter loved walking around and seeing all the animals. She loved feeding the goats and the camels! The zoo is also very affordable. Loved it!
Nice small zoo that has quite a few animals for its size. All the animals very friendly and come right up to see you. Good paved walkways all around. We need more zoos like this one and funding to help them care for the animals.
Well was a blast great little spot. Took the wife and roommate and we all had a great experience the animals are well taken care for. And a very clean park.
We loved the Zoo. Lots of different animals to observe and plenty to feed.
Sweet zoo. Seemed a little expensive and much of it was roped off and desheveled. Perhaps they are working on structural improvements? Need better signage at enclosures too. I was with a 7 year old who was really interested in learning more about the animals but no signage on all of them. It was a fun afternoon though. The animals seem happy and comfortable.
Took our 2 year old grandson, best time ever. Many animals to get up close to and feed by hand, the interaction our grandson had with them was great. Not the biggest zoo, but huge with what it has to offer. Will be going back.
Was a nice walk in the zoo. Kids loved feeding the deer and goats carrots.
I usually never write reviews, but the mistreatment of helpless animals is not something I can stay quiet about. Please take into consideration all of the other one star reviews before visiting this zoo, they are truthful. I am absolutely baffled on how anyone could rate this place above one star. It does not even deserve one star.I was recommended this zoo by someone, and without doing my research beforehand to see if they were an accredited zoo, I decided to take my kids for a day trip there. We hold Toledo Zoo memberships yearly, but thought we would check this place out. While touring this zoo for nearly two hours, only one employee was ever spotted throughout the zoo. The animals are clearly neglected and ill. Their enclosures are insufficient, extremely too small, not maintained, no environmental enrichment. All of the birds have EXTREMELY curled feathers, which is usually caused by nutritional deficiencies and disease, and feathers too long to walk properly. An alligator was in one small exposure in direct sunlight, with barely enough water to even cover its legs. They have two bears enclosed in one small cage, with hardly anything. The Macaws are balding. All of the deer are massively balding and some even bleeding. The wolf, bears and other animals were showing behavioral disturbances by continuously pacing. This is a privately owned zoo. I noticed their personal home on the property was currently undergoing renovations, while the animals continue to go on without proper care. This zoo needs exposure and to be shut down. It was also filthy with trash all over the place , no directions around the zoo, and no bathrooms seen, except for the gift shop. There was also no place to even buy a beverage throughout the zoo, or a water fountain. The temp was 86 today and you cannot bring in any outside food/drink.These animals do not deserve this. It also appears that the owner is looking to expand the zoo and bring in more animals. This zoo was expensive and also has a gift shop. The money is clearly not being spent on proper veterinary care or on any adequate care for these animals.
Its a smaller zoo with lots of animals. Its by no means anything like the bigger zooswith all the fancy landscaping and food stands, but then again it also doesnt have the higher prices. They have a great variety of animals that all seemed pretty happy and content. I love going to zoos, and this one was great!! No, the enclosures werent top notch perfect but they were suitable and the animals were well cared for. It seems like when you visit the bigger zoos, you dont usually get to see to many of the animals and here you were able to see them all very close! I read a review that complained about them and I didnt see what those concerns were. While we were there, we also did the Sloth encounter and Lemur encounter, which were top notch! The staff was great!! We will continue to support them so they continue to expand and improve!! Thank you Indian Creek Zoo Im already planning on taking my grandkids there next trip.
This was our first visit! We had a great time. Just remember your bug spray!
The zoo was so much fun for my children, my husband and I. We even went back a second day. Its a smaller zoo but easier to make it through in a day, you can take your time seeing all of the animals and going on rides. We had fun in the small petting zoo especially, I adore cows!! It was a great time!
Such a realistic zoo living for the animals. Very friendly and can feed the animals with carrots. First time here
Absolutely love this zoo!! Friendly workers and I love all the animals!! Even just as a volunteer for the zoo one day was a ton of fun to do and it was free to enjoy the zoo after just helping with games for kids for a few hours
Weve been here a few times and its a nice alternative to the larger zoos. A manageable amount of walking but not exhausting. I found that it suits all ages but especially the younger ones because the animal exhibits are closer to the wallking path and the animals themselves are easier to see at their level. Its also a special treat for kids (and adultsto be able to feed carrots to certain animals and you get a souvenir cup or bucket after all the carrots are gone. I also like that there were a few new additions to the zoo since last year...ranging from improving the animal exhibits/ habitats to adding new play features for kids. Lastly, I enjoyed the new look out deck overlooking a pond which has large visible fish in it. We will surely be back!
Today was our first time visiting the zoo. It was Amazing we took our 1 year old son and he had a blast feeding some of the animals and also seeing them up close for the first time. This place is definitely kid friendly for the little ones seeing animals for the first time. We will becoming back more often.
Fantastic zoo with a huge variety of animals. A lot of exhibits kids will really enjoy as well. Camel ride is really cool. Im a grown man and my wife and I had a great time. Highly recommend.
Cool little zoo. Great for little kids. Make sure you get a bucket of carrots at entrance. You cant buy them anywhere else.
Great little zoo and wildlife sanctuary. Stopped here to visit the sloths and it didnt disappoint. Loved every moment of it. Also very affordable
The Indian Creek Zoo is always AMAZING!! The employees are always super friendly, helpful and smiling. The animals look so happy and well taken care of. Me and my son LOVE this zoo!!
We had an awesome time. My 2 year old granddaughter was so excited to feed the animals!! Even my 22 year old grandson was impressed with the animals. The whole experience at the zoo is wonderful. The parking lot was full but we had no issues walking around.
We love it here! Our 3 yo grandson loves it here too! He loves feeding the animals and the contact. We became members last year and have really enjoyed it.
Best Zoo Around !! All the staff are so Great and helpful:The grounds are amazing, been coming to Indian Creek Zoo for the last 4 years and everytime we come its more Amazing! The kids love feeding the animals and being so close to all of them!! BEST ZOO EVER
My boyfriend surprised me by bringing me here. I had such a great time and it made my entire day. I do plan on coming back with my kids.
I have a 4 year old son and he absolutely enjoyed every moment!! Especially feeding the animals!
Cute zoo that I love coming back to! They offer carrot buckets that you can buy and feed certain animals around the zoo, which is always cute.
We enjoyed our time at the zoo, even though we live close, it was my first time thete. There are lots of wonderful animals and it was fun to feed some of them. My two favorite exhibits were the peacocks and the walk through bird atrium. It was a time to see the animals up close. Really different than being at any other zoo. I love the shade trees throughout the zoo too. 5 stars for sure!
A smaller more personal zoo. Its clean and there are many places to eat. When taking a kid this place is perfect. You could walk the zoo in two hours with ease.
Liked the amount of and all the different animals. Easy viewing. Interaction with some of the animals. Disappointed with all the things in view of the guest entering the zoo. Over all it is nice and looks like we will be going back.
Great little zoo! Perfect for the younger ones as they are able to feed several of the animals! Spent about 1.5 hours here and it was the perfect amount of time to see everything without getting bored!
A small zoo with good energy and charm. The animals were so active. I loved getting close to them. My kids are teenagers and they loved feeding the goats. Very relaxing getaway. There was no food or drinks so bring a picnic and eat in your car afterwards.
Was nice but, a work in progress. Need 2nd bathroom on the other side of the zoo.
We always going on Puzzles the giraffe birthday as it is my daughters birthday too. Puzzles was not out this year as it was kind of chilly out. But as we were at that area and nice lady who takes care of the animals was looking after the young camels, as I had meanted that we always come on Puzzles birthday, she said , let me take you to see Puzzles and we got a great tour of the loft to see Puzzlesand another giraffe. What a great day we all had. Thanks for going to the EXTRA effort and making our day? .....also was another couple that tagged along with us and the man was visiting from Poland. How great for him to see the giraffes up close and to get to pet them.
Its great to have such a nice small zoo so close to home. My kids love to visit and its easy to make a quick trip there! Its well kept and they are always making improvements.
Our first trip here and we had a great time. We did the Lemur encounter. Although we didnt get to watch them paint, we still got a painting and we got to feed them through the cages. We also got to feed the Marmosets. The camels were our favorite to feed. The owners dog, Arrow, is the best. Cant wait to go back!
Excellent smaller sized zoo with an exotic collection of animals. They have a really cool monkey exhibit and a fantastic walk-through bird house! Great for kids and adults!
Good time walking through the zoo with my wife. I love seeing all the bears and many other animals. I am glad the money we spent went to Toledo Gospel Rescue Mission through Proclaim FM sponsored evening. Hallelujah Jesus! We will take the whole family to drive through and see the lights they are putting up now.
So much fun for everyone! The animals are all healthy and happy and you get to feed them and pet some of them
Fun hands on expansive petting Zoo lots of friendly animals and get the bucket of carrots its a better deal then the cup
I took my grandson there as a surprise. He loved being able to feed, pet and be up close to the animals.
We loved it! Its not huge to walk around. Lots of places to sit with shade and places to get drinks/snacks. Buy a bucket or two of carrots while there to feed some animals, feed a giraffe lettuce from your hand and ride a camel! We really had a great time!! Nice gift shop, too (with bathrooms).
So many improvements have been made since the last time we were there!! Truly a little gem!! Small enough to enjoy with enough animals to keep the kids interested.
It was a decent zoo .. nice short walk around the place... some animals didnt seem happy n there was no food around for them n it kinda looked like they werent being feed properly...kinda made me rethink zoos....
Small town zoo that is great place for kids. Smaller zoo is clean and the entire zoo can be seen in a couple hours. The zoo was pretty clean when I visited and there are always employees riding around.
Looking to kill 2-3 hours? This great little place to visit, I loved the bird sanctuary, my kids enjoyed feeding the deer, donkey, and camels. And you have to get on of their fresh squeezed lemonade, best one I ever had.
Our second time being here and its come so far in just one short year. More habitats, more animals, nice staff, affordable prices. Great for my little family, we all love seeing the animals. We will absolutely be back!
We went yesterday. They are not officially open until April but there were plenty of of animals still out to see & feed. Very kind staff and great interaction for both children and adults. They also had a cool gift shop. We hope to return again.
Awesome and unique hidden gem!! My friends surprised me with the Giraffe Experience for my birthday and it was totally a bucket list experience! Shout out to Amanda who was SO knowledgeable and friendly and definitely made our time that much better! She was great! Puzzles and Sudoku are my new best friends! The zoo itself was so interesting and an awesome mix of different animals!
