So worth the trip from Georgia. Had a wonderful experience. Tour guide was very interesting!Wanted to add: Make sure you get one of the early ticketed tours. Ours was 920a and still had a 20min wait. Was there later in the day and the line literally wrapped around the building. It still was definitely worth any type of wait but who wants to stand in line forever.

So much history in one spot. Amazing architecture, incredible trees, helpful staff. Well worth a days visit. Beware the parking enforcement, they will ticket you. And book your tour times early.

I would highly recommend this to be seen by every American at least once. But the tour itself seemed very flatline. For the how important this square is to American history the tour guides didn’t seem to convey this. They take into two rooms. A court room and the assembly room. After the reserved tour. I would recommend experiencing the great essentials building and the capital building as well. I will provide their own reviews.

It was very interesting, just small. They gitta expand. They could include history, CGI and more camera tricks. But it definitely pocks your brain.

An awesome sight for anyone who enjoys U.S. history. Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell are 2 of Americas iconic sights. The tour guides are very knowledgeable. For Independence Hall, timed entry tickets are required. The tour is about 20 min. Then you can self tour the West Wing where a draft of the Declaration of Indepence along with other documents are kept. After that there is a guided tour of Congress Hall. The Liberty Bell is a self guided tour, no tickets are required. Both locations have intense security in place.

This was my second time visiting Independence Hall and it was just as great as the first time, if not even more informative. We took a historical trip with the kids for a hands-on homeschooling experience and they learned more than we couldve expected. The cleanliess and upkeep of the property is immaculate, too!

Great little spot to hear more about the history of the US seeking independence. The Park Rangers who give short 20 min tours of the site are incredibly passionate too!

Historical, well maintained building. We ended up doing the tour, and it was the perfect amount of time and history. Came during the week, and our group wasnt too big which was nice. Our tour guide was fantastic, and it was wonderful to see inside the hall. Do schedule ahead of time, as you cannot buy tickets at the door. We spent about an hour an hour and a halfs exploring the grounds along with the tour. We probably would have stayed longer, however it was really warm out.Note, would recommend parking in the parking structure at the visitor center.

This building is a place where Court used to run, also the place where American independence was signed. They provide free 15 min tour inside, the Guids are super excited and will tell you all the history about the place and always happy to answer curious minds. We visited this place towards the end of the day and believe me the energy of the Guide was never down. keep up the good work!

While we were waiting for our tour of the East wing of Independence Hall we visited the West wing which housed a few museum pieces including an original copy of the Declaration and the pen and ink stand used when it was signed. They had information in many different languages. It was particularly nice because it was very hot outside. The park behind the Hall is also a lovely shady place to wait. The tour given by Ranger Larry was excellent. It’s just two large-ish rooms decorated to look like they would have back then. Larry gave wonderful talks, pointed out the interesting bits you might miss on your own and reinforced the facts about the Declaration and the Constitution and pointed out that the Constitution is a living, adaptable document and was written to ensure that.We also visited the adjacent building where the Senate and Congress met while Philadelphia was the nation’s capital, and where the first succession of power from the 1st (Washingtonand the 2nd president took place. Our guide was also excellent.

Independence National Historical Park is a beautiful place to learn about the beginning of the United States. The entire area is walkable and is free to visit. There are several sites at the park to experience on a self guided exploration. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and go to the Visitor Center.

For years I have dreamed of standing where our founders did, when our declaration and constitution were formed. It was awe inspiring. I wish that our current citizens were as loyal to each other and our country today as they were then.

Seafood was good. Service was quirky. I have an allergy to cow milk so asked it the shrimp and pasta dish could be made without cheese. They said it could so I ordered it without the cheese. It arrived at the table looking like they had added extra cheese. I had to wait while they made another plate and my dining companions ate their meals. I liked the dish very much when it did arrive. The shrimp were large, juicy, and plentiful and the sauce was delicious.

You should definitely come here before The Don Troiani picture exhibit leaves. He is a wonderful artist who pays close attention to details and is historically accurate. The museum also offers a comprehensive and all inclusive history of the war as well as the time period.

A must-visit place for a set of experiences darling to accumulate a great deal of recollections stuffed in the recreation area. The following are 2 spots one is congress corridor where the congress used to accumulate before Washington DC and you can visit without a ticket however you need to sit tight for directed trips. Another is Independence lobby which required free planned tickets booked on the web. Try to buy a couple of days prior.Stopping is accessible close by region, paid to stop. It is entrancing to watch the freedom shopping center from the recreation area yard and it is a superbly enormous park region.Evening lights in various shopping center region are generally excellent to watch and for photography.

A very good place with lot of memories packed in the park. There is always something happening in and around the area. Parking is available near by area , paid parking. We went to the park after the bell and visitor center is closed to enjoy the very large lawn space. It is mesmerizing to watch the independence mall from the park lawn and it is wonderfully large park area. Kids can enjoy lawn and it is too within the urban area. Security should not be an issue due to importance of the area. Nighttime lights on different mall area is very good to watch and for photography. May not be suitable for family after 9 pm due to we felt the smell of green stuff. All in all a must visit place if you are around the area.

Fair warning when getting tickets. Thought we had to get tickets at the visitor center but they will tell you to get it online. The place does not tell you how to get tickets but that is okay and we were suprise we needed tickets. Also tickets are a dollar for each person. Please buy your ticket in advance, not sure if this is temporarily or from now on. So the website is recreation(.)govOverall, amazing place. It is wonderful and fun. A buck for a 20 minute tour in the independence hall to learn about our country. Seeing the courtroom and another room. Sadly wished the tour guide was given a little speaker and a mic to hear them but overall it was amazing and worth a dollar.Do not be suprise by security check as it is important place so be very prepared to follow protocol and security procedures. Basic knowledge but had someone suprise by the security measures. Same applies to seeing the liberty bell. This place is also across from the liberty bell as well.

Loved the history and we had an amazing tour guide. The tour takes about 20 min and is well worth it but book ahead as the spots sell out quickly. After your done I highly suggest walking through the court yard to Congress Hall. That building is 1st come/ first serve and no tickets are required. Arrive 15 to 30 min early as you will need to go through a metal detector and your items go through a xray like at the airport. Enjoy this amazing piece of history.

Its nice that its all so walkable. The "national park" is a whole section of town, so theres regular shops and stores in the middle of all the historic buildings - its not like its set apart like a Williamsburg, VA or anything. I do like that it feels pretty safe at night.

This historic national park is set in many buildings in downtown Philadelphia. The Liberty Bell itself is encased in a wider exhibit building. It is worth checking out the surrounding buildings to see where the first two presidents lived as well as the Independence Hall and where Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence.
