We attended the SANBS donor awards. Well done to the banqueting organisation and staff. Tables were regularly cleared and juices refilled. There were sufficient number of buffet stations so we didnt have to wait too long for dishing up and there was enough food for the number of guests. More yummy cheesecake was needed though... Was impressed, keep up the good work!

The place could do with some renovations. There is absolutely nothing wrong with taking pride in your establishment, and taking constructive criticism wouldnt hurt too.I was at room 914 from Sep 12-14 so maybe you havent gotten around to renovating that as some of the tiles were cracked, the walls were dirty and the bath tub enamel is peeled off that it has 2 different colours?

The rooms a bit too priced for how they look .also can they advice the front desk stuff to be more enthusiastic about their jobs..also add porters you cant be charging that much just for us to carry our own stuff..also let people know when the pool is not working.

Covid seems to have taken its toll, rooms are awesome, but the outside is looking a bit run down. Traffic coming in the afternoon and leaving in the morning is a nightmare!!!

Attended a conference this weekend here. Presentations were marred by frequent power outages (not their faultbut there was a very slow switch over to the generators.

Very neat and comfortable but the only problem was that it seem to be the furthest point between the reception and my room (no fault of the hotel though as they were ready to transport me by means of golf cart when I was ready)

It is really a surprise how big the area is. You can get a good walk from room to reception. The gardens were well kept and the lake was a nice place to visit. The rooms were comfortable and neat. Some furniture was not easy to use but made do. The TV wasnt as clear and at the time I checked not many channels were available. There isnt much to do on site (tennis and alcohol). The conference venues were really top class and they did a very good job at catering and setting up decor and AV. The transition in and out of loadshedding was a small stumbling block. overall a good experience.

I booked there with my family, I called reception at 5am to arrange shuttle, the guy was rude, uninterested and hung up on me a few times and eventually did not pick up my calls. I ended up requesting Uber.Because I was not the one who checked my it, I couldn’t raise my concern. Then I realised I forgot an item there. 2 days later I called to ask about it. The same guy answered, same attitude! As soon as he confirmed my room number, he said ‘collect at the gate’ and hung up!Guys!!! In 2022, why?? Such mean service!

Relaxing atmosphere-tranquil and serene but could do with more lighting especially outside at night. Overall clean venue, friendly staff. Spa, restaurants and conference rooms on site. Rooms are neat however some of the bathrooms need an upgrade. Appreciate that all dietary preferences are catered for.

I was there from 27-29 July 2022. The room was very stuffy and not entirely clean, water in the bathroom was cold, and the phone was not working. The food was okay, I only enjoyed breakfast. The staff at reception were friendly and professional. They arranged another room with hot running water for me to bath; but I had to go back to my stuffy unclean room. Honestly I couldnt wait to check out. Im not planning to go there again.

For a hotel that is located in fourways jhb, you will not tell that this property is where it is. Extremly tranquil with beautiful gardens, spa, swimming pool, gin school, wine tasting, clean and well maintained. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, by far this is my favourite hotel in jhb.

I came for a spa day and stay over. I stayed in room 911. Curtains are stained and dirty. Rubbish outside on the lawn. Empty bottles and plastic outside my room. They hosted a party and people were shouting all night outside my room so I hardly slept. I also could hear their music from my unit. There was what looked like a blood stain near the toilet paper holder. The front breakfast and foyer is so nice but I will never stay here again

It was a great pleasure to be at the Indaba Hotel, Spa and Conference Centre again after at least 15 years since I was last there. Particularly pleasing was the fact that the owners had managed to maintain the establishment in an excellent state through all the shocks that businesses, particularly.in the hospitality sector, had experienced in the intervening time. While I can imagine the business will have faced some challenges, the Indaba looked like it had come through COVID-19 relatively unscathed. It is still a sprawling venue with a mix of rustic and modern features. I was particularly impressed by the well-kept grounds which give the place a feel of serenity, which is useful when one is there to attend a training intervention, such as I was in my earlier and latest visits. Theres nothing like walking on well-maintained lawns while doing an exercise that needs deep thought or contemplation. Indaba is a great training venue. Notwithstanding the rampant load shedding - which was up to stage 6 during the time of my training workshop - the generator ensured that we had power during the blackout. There was an instance when the generator itself failed for some reason, and we did not have power for about 30 minutes, but that was soon restored and we managed to get back on track. The buffet meals also stood out, and although I did not spend the night there, my day visits were enough to leave me knowing that I will be back at the Indaba, if not to stay over, then at least for a meal. A great place well worth a visit!

Feels like they working with Covid limited staff. Service delivery is lacking. Staff is very friendly but they seem overwhelmed. Rooms are a bit dated but kept neat and tidy. Just outside of the crazy part of Fourways so in the hotel facility you feel like you away from it all but everything is 5 minutes drive away.

Located in a way that makes you feel as though youve left the city and youre a part of a nature reserve. The staff are helpful and kind. Very well done on the conference set up. Could improve on cleanliness especially the rooms for overnight stay. The Chiefs Boma restaurant is really great and the Mowana spa even better. Good experience overall.

False advertising on their website for their "Jazz" Sundays. You get a VERY over priced buffet with Stale food, rude staff and no saxophonist even though it was confirmed beforehand. Only pleasant part of the experience was friendly faced Timothy who works at the restaurant. Never again, take down your advert on your website.

The place feels sereal, outside filled with trees. Rooms are large, spacious and clean. Staff is warm, helpful and friendly. Foods are tasty and well prepared and presented. The hotel caters for couples treatments, group of friends and conferencing for businesses. Easily accessible from William Nicol Street in Sandton, Four ways.

Where do I even begin. So it was a stay for two nights and night two had to be cut short because the food was not fresh I got food poisoning. The towels in the bathroom had stains on them, they were not washed from the prev stay. Theres a note that says hang them if you will use again and put them in the tub if you want them washed, did they not fold and hang AGAIN the used stained towels I put in the tub because they were already dirty? The room was not cleaned not even vacuumed, the shower had soap scum on the floor. Dust is everywhere I mean even on picture frames. Sheets were not changed just used again.House keeping they do not do anything really, I left a plate on the table and they took out the trash and left a used plate there.Pretty much disappointed, came in healthy left with blocked nose and stomach bug.

Indaba Hotel is overrated. Rooms are old style and not all that and may need deep cleaning and fumigation to remove inspect I cannot mention. Food is okay and the restaurant staff was fine. However, Service from ground staff for the conferencing was not that great. We had to pay extra R60 each head each day for the tea/coffee machine to stay on for the duration of our conference.

Even one star is a star too many for the absolutely pathethic service at this establishment. My complaint was escalated to the F&B and Housekeeping departments and to the GM, mr Don Jesseman. I was told the Mr. Jesseman would contact me and its been way over a month now and absolutely nothing...What has happened to the service at Indaba Hotel??? It used to be one of the best establishments in Gauteng…

The place is very dirty, the rooms are smelly and it looked like the sheets were not even changed. The conferencing staff were very rude and will not recommend anyone to hold their meetings there-there were two ladies who were extremely rude Angelique and Lufuno. The whole Venue is dirty, the toilets, the place definitely needs some maintenance. The only thing nice about the place is the food-atleast I was able to drown my sorrows with the food. I had the worst 3days of my life last week. I will never go to this place ever again

This place was extremely terrible! The hotel staff was completely atrocious. Considering the Hospitality industry was under intense pressure as a result of the pandemic, one would assume that this particular hotel would actually respect their clients. What is worst is that this hotel disrespects and discriminates on people who did not book over night but would rather use their day facilities such as their horrible spier wine tasting venue. We were literally left out in the rain by the staff at the spier wine tasting venue because we did not have a booking even though there were empty seats and space to accommodate us. I had a look at their booking schedule, which one of their staff showed me, and there was space for us to be accommodated but we still told to stay outside. The staff at reception are also disrespectful. But I won’t delve anymore into my horrible experience because I am sure this hotel is still going to receive complaints and possibly close down if they do not improve the attitude and customer decorum and etiquette. I am disappointed and hotels like this are the reason why the South African hospitality industry will never thrive. I am tired of businesses having an elitist mind set. JUST HORRIBLE!

Plenty of space however the facilities have deteriorated I think due to COVID so we should support them so they can go back to their former self. The staff is excellent we thank you for the service. I was attending a conference for three days. I enjoyed their food and they have good conference facilities. However, they need to create more space for people to network. The gardens are the best the lace is very peaceful. There is also plenty of parking.

Spent a lovely and tranquil weekend here. Most amazing ambience with a step into nature. I love that its not your usual hotel vibe, its very different, almost like its own little city. Theres so much to do and experience - I wish I had booked a longer trip. I will definitely be going back again for the wonderful overall experience, but do I feel some of the customer service can be improved upon.
