I didnt leave a tip today. I felt guilty because I always tip. The best way I can describe it is indifferent. Perhaps suffers from being too busy - the coffee and prices are good. Indifferent: no welcome, find your own table - not a problem; had to ask for menus and service; the coffee arrived quickly; had to call for service to order food; omelettes took forever: second coffee almost done and had to ask a waiter to check; the food arrived - warm, not hot; mine was tasty (cheese and bacon- no complaint; wifes spinach had grit (unwashedand some unsliced mushrooms were too big for bitesize. The table clearer took the plates without a word or eye-contact - our comment about the grit in the spinach was misdirected as he didnt do anything with the information; we paid - I embarrassed my wife by not adding a tip - and we left. Normally I would just accept as is... with a typical when management is nowhere to be seen thought. But today I didnt leave a tip and I dont feel any better about it.

Great atmosphere, food and coffee. There was a water leak next to our table in the courtyard, but everything else was excellent.

The house blend is one of the best roasts I’ve found in Cape Town.

Didnt eat anything but did enjoy the atmosphere and the drinks we had.Had a meeting here and I will definitely recommend having a meeting here it is not loud and you can actually have a conversation. The menu items look tantalising I will try then next time

Great coffee, great WiFi, cool ambiance. Excellent place for meetings, both live and online. Staff were also attentive and had a good sense of humour

Absolutely loved their Hot Lozenge beverage a resounding 10/10; the toasted sandwich with a bit of salad on the side not so much...sorry.

Had the most delicious hot chocolate and caramelized onion toastie. Very good value for money (especially on a student budgetand will definitely be going again.Sat outside in winter but the fire they had going kept things warm.

Superb toasted sandwiches. Would recommend the chicken mayo on Sourdough, truly exceptional. Iced coffee is also great, nice to find a cafe that doesnt drown the iced coffee in water

Great place to get an early breakfast.. but be warned its very popular with cyclists.. and tables go fast.. food and service is great.

Stunning ambience, it has a great feeling. The coffee was good and the pastries delicious but, it was not busy and my coffee arrived cold. The pastries were delayed because they were being warmed but arrived warm on the outside and cold in the middle. Being on a tight time line before a meeting I went inside to find either of our servers for the bill. They were leaning against a table having a fat chat and seemed disinterested. Perhaps I was just unlucky.

Nice place with cool vibe, service was a bit slow but thats to be expected when as busy as they are. Was just there for coffee but would love to try the food next time.

Excellent coffee, breakfasts, smoothies and more. Friendly service. Can get quite busy especially early mornings but worth a little wait for a seat. Cute courtyard at the back and verandah in front, both covered.

Amazing vibe. My friend and I usually go in the mornings when its very busy but all the staff still have time to chat to you. Besides all that the coffee is the best Ive had so far in Cape Town. 😌🤘🏻☕

Went there for breakfast, didnt have a great experience.Coffee 6/10.Ordered the blue cheese and biltong omelette, their speciality.Firstly they didnt have biltong, weird if its your speciality + there is a biltong shop 2 minutes away. Took 20 minutes for them to tell us this.Then when the meal arrived they had placed cheddar instead of blue cheese. We had to remind them to bring the toast (guess it wasnt made with the first order).The meal was good, the experience and service, not so much.I have had 1 good experience in the past, hence the 3 and not a 2 out of 5.

Love this little spot for breakfast or lunch. The only critique I have is that fresh wraps and salads shouldn’t be served on a hot plate. My greens were warm and lettuce limp. : other than that food is delicious!

Great coffee, great carrot cake and such a warm vibe and place, especially on a cold rainy day. Really great place to have a coffee/breakfast catch up with friends. However please not that the staff were not super attentive when it was super busy. It was super busy so I do understand but to forget an order of cookies and have to get the bill at the front is never the best. Still a great place and I will be back many more times

Nice little coffee stop or meeting spot. Portion sizes are incredible. Breakfast wrap is enough for 2 to share and that’s coming from a. Guy that can eat like his life depends on it 🤣

Lovely place, good design and delicious coffee. Really enjoyed the chicken and mayo toasted sandwich, despite being small it came with a very generous and absolutely delicious salad. On the whole really enjoyed the place. Just a bit expensive.

Love this local spot! Friendly staff, awesome decor, delish coffee and juices and in my opinion the best freshly baked croissants in Cape Town. Love the outdoor fireplace in the back which helps with keeping Covid safe. Becoming a firm favourite as my regular spot

Been going here since it opened, the food is amazing and staff very polite. However in the last 5 months the service has been slow and we go almost every day and each time there is a mistake with our order. E.g meal missing, eggs not cooked right, incorrect coffee order or very slow service for something simple like a glass of water or side of honey.

Tranquil atmosphere with full-body coffee that draws you into your company and the full flavours. Beautifully designed interior and the staff are exceptionally kind and delightful. Incredible experience.

Charming eclectic and trendy vibe&decor.Excellent variety of choice on themenu.Best Ceasar salad I have ever eaten anywhere!!. Salad ingredients were top quality, well chosen, perfectly cooked and faultlessly assembled(give that chef a raise!).Importers coffee is still up there with the finest. Staff is very efficient, knowledgeable and courteous.Water feature in courtyard makes sitting there a joy.This cozy hideaway checks all my boxes.

Please note it has since changed names to the Hans and Lloyd Coffee Co.The coffee is superb. (Id give it a higher rating of just rating the coffee)The vibe is good.Hopefully they will add some halaal options to there eating menu in the near future. ( hence only 3 starsotherwise would have been a higher rating.

Ive been past the coffee shop a few times now with both clients and friends... Theres a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, and the space has been organised and styled beautifully. The staff have always been friendly and accommodating, and of course the coffee is great! Wonderful sorbet and ice-creams too - such a treat!

Beautiful setting. Good food. The service could be better but wont stop me from coming back.

The service was wonderful even though we got there just before closing. My cappuccino was delicious and the decor was stunning.
