Imperial Inn - Asian restaurant in Atlantic City, United States
Huge portions, delicious food! Reminds us of a favorite Chinese restaurant back home in WA State. Good prices too. Ordered 2 entrees and we couldnt finish it all!
I am in live with the eggplant in garlic sauce and the wide rice noodles with beef and Chinese broccoli!!!! My mouth is watering!!!
The lady(ownerwho took our order was extremely rude. That should have been our first clue to leave. Food was horrible. Dumplings were absolutely the worst we ever had. The general Tao’s chicken was drenched with some kind of sour source, at the end there was at least half a cup sauce left in my plate. Will never return!
Amazing food. Very time I come to AC I have to come here.
Absolutely awesome and delicious food , one star because it seems the old lady-owner need to buy decent size mirror to see herself i felt racially profiled by my skin , tip was added automatically on the bill but i ending uo giving her extra tips just to prove the point dont judge the book by its coverVery rude and theres bo hospitality at all on this place , BEWARE if you are colored dont patronize this place
Ok. Place but food it was delicious. They Just need to hire more personel to help out.
The worst chinese food we ever ate. Egg rolls awful. Peking duck okay. Pepper beef not great. Service was bad. Ate there for new years eve it was horrible. Im from NY and Ive been to China and Hong Kong I know good and great Chinese food and its not this place.
Great spot for the family. Recommend the Thousand Island Shrimp and of course the Peking Duck
Great food! Great prices! Very friendly staff. Must stop here when staying at the casinos.Authentic China Town style Asian restaurant. The wonton soup is amazing. The wide noodles were delicious!I recommend that you order and split your meal family style!
Great food and service, especially their duck. Will definitely visit again, next time in the area.
Excellent place a few blocks from the overpriced Asian restaurants at the Trop. Everything was great... highlights were Peking Duck, salted fish fried rice, and the intestines were fried to perfection. Highly recommended.
Ive been coming to this restaurant for over 20yrs and I never have a bad experience the food is always lovely but I cane in last night and the hostess was absolutely rude she looked at me as if I didnt belong there I asked her a politely if they carried wings and she was ever so nasty at that point I didnt even wanna order anything and I left horrible experience
Great service and great food. My favorite spot in the area and I definitely recommend their authentic Chinese food menu!
Always a pleasure to dine here.Been coming for past 20+ yearsFreshest seafood with consistency in prep and execution of all dishes.
Been to Atlantic City at least 8 times since 2012-2019. Stayed at Hilton, Tropicana, Trump Plaza, Ballys, Claridge, Trump Taj Mahal, Showboat & Ocean/Revel. Traveled to Imperial a lot during my stays for both Luncheon & Dinner. I have repeatedly ordered the Roast Pork Fried Egg Noodle & Pan Fried Wide Rice Noodle with Beef (Drythey both fill the stomach good. The full-time waiter & the chefs have at least a decade of experience. Its a bit of a distance from the Boardwalk but, after your first taste of Imperial.. you will most likely return for more! I miss not sitting for a meal in 2 years at Imperial.
Disappointed with our experience here. We ordered chicken, fried rice, egg rolls, and hot and sour soup. Everything was very middle of the road. The chicken was too chewy and the rest was just not that great. Also, the price was a bit high compared to what I’ve paid elsewhere. Not awful, but not fantastic.
We ordered take out for 4 people. The food was decent and was ready quick.
Excellent as always. Roast pork with wonton noodle soup, scallion pancake, fried rice, spicy pork chops.
We love the food here, authentic, delicious food. Every time we go to AC we have to go eat here. Impressive.
Ordered imperial inn fried rice and was very impressed. Clean place friendly people food was ready on time and worth going back for.
The food is always great. We love ordering the Egg Drop Noodle Soup, the Sliced Chicken with Chinese Broccoli and the Salt and Pepper Pork Chops
This place was amazing! We had the steamed dumplings and egg rolls to start off and then beef with Chinese broccoli and wide noodles and pork and wonton soup with egg noodles - hit the spot and then some 🤤
This is the best Chinese Restaurant Ive ever had! Only place I know that makes Lobster Sauce the old way. That have dishes that no other Chinese restaurant has. I do miss the Phoenix roll though😆Ive eaten here for about 25+ years, and still cant get enough.
Owner was very nice. Food service was quick. Some items were not as good as others. The shrimp and soups were good. Some of their chickens and noodles lacked some flavor though.
Best authentic Chinese food in Atlantic County for 15+years since a kid I loved the spicy pork chops
I have been going here for years. Excellent authentic Asian cuisine.
Food was banging and service was excellent. It helped we knew some people but food alone was...as good as any top favorite Chinese place in the area.
This Valentines Day my husband and I ordered take out to enjoy great food at home. Hands down Imperial had the BEST shrimp lomein. A big thank you to the chef! Cooked perfect! The sauce was so good, I usually need to add duck sauce but there was no need. The Hostess was very friendly .
This place has unfortunately gone downhill from prior years. My family comes here occasionally for dinner as its a convenient spot, and its usually solid. Last night was pretty disappointing. We ordered the crabmeat fish maw soup (ok - tasted mostly like cornstarch and egg drop), whole roasted duck (did not taste like it was roasted same day), steamed striped bass (way overcooked), salty fish fried rice (good), "dai pang chow mai" (noodles were so wet but flavor wasnt bad), and beef chow fun (not bad). They did give us sweet potato sweet soup at the end and it was good.I wonder if we just caught them on a down day, but Ill think twice about going back again now..
i dont even like the lady their ,,, she very rulesi told her i pay my friend family diner and i also gave her credit card incase i friend come up ,,,, she saw my friend pull out the cash and she said “ i want cash more” ,,, but i the one gave my credit card first ,,, isnt very nice and i embarrassed infront my friend family ,,,, i told her we not come back again and she even told me i dont care ,,,, this is not very nice to business like her
Food is delicious! We will definitely come back here whenever were in AC!
For any foodie who likes authentic Cantonese Chinese food this is the place to go. You dont find food like this anymore and the decor looks like the Chinese restaurants of yesteryear. The food is wonderful and if youd like things like scallion pancake none compare with the ones they serve here. They have a very diverse excellent menu the portions are tremendous and the price is right
Have been going for years. We enjoy taking family and friends. If you are a Chinatown junkie this restaurant puts them to shame. There is a family member across the river so take a look at the name and say Oh!!!
Cant say anything about the food. On a Saturday night we were first ignored for about 10 minutes and then told that we had to wait at least another 25 minutes. The restaurant was not full at this point. I could have dealt with the wait but I didnt like being ignored for that long.
The staff was super friendly and the food was excellent!!!! We had the pineapple duck and shrimp egg Foo young.
WOW! screw the tourist spots & overpriced restaurnats in the casinos. Try this place for sure! Authentic & fresh 👌 The menu options are so great including vegetation. The decor is so pretty and shiney. They even give you hot tea and crispy dipping chips on the house! The prices are great you cannot go wrong. Portions are huge. The soup bowl was so flavorful especially the wontons. The customer service was 100 percent. You can tell they really want to please their customers, they even have parking lot on side. DEFIENTLY give this place a try.
Decided to come here because there was a 4 star rating. Not exactly how or why though because the food was nasty. The decor was like outdated/Asian/Christina Aguilera. The egg drop soup looked and smelled funky. My chicken and broccoli was slimy.Gross
My first time there: bright, cheerful atmosphere. They do not make combos for take-out on the weekends. I tried the Chinese standard—General Tso’s Chicken. Different from my usual experience. The chicken was VERY lightly breaded. In fact, it had almost no breading at all, just a flavor dusting. Good chunks of chicken in a slightly sweet sauce. Served with white rice the way I like it—sticky, NOT individual grains like minute rice. Rice you can definitely eat with chopsticks. Less expensive than the PF Changs a few blocks over. I’ll go back again.
Great food, nice atmosphere for dining in. Reminds me of back in the before the majority of the restaurants started converting to a fast food takeout concept. Very few nowadays serve hot tea which is better with the than soda. Prices are good too.
So delicious and fresh! The workers were nice and the prices were reasonable. It has a nice calm atmosphere and feels very clean.
Authentic Chinese restaurant, can accommodate traditional family banquets. Very good oysters and whole lobster. Service is friendly!
This restaurant has the look, feel and even the smell of a restaurant in Chinatown, NYC. You cant get more authentic than that! The food and service were excellent. I will definitely be making it a regular stop when Im in Atlantic City.
Delicious and perfect Chinese food... Clean restaurant and amazing selections... My husband and I love it. Great Chinese (sit down in a cozy atmosphere with the BEST shrimp 🍤 and lobster sauce since The Pak Inn and Chinaland (My Dads favorite)....Great service and Asian perfection 👏🏼 Try the roast pork like mein, fried rice 🍚 and enjoy 😊
My family and I have been enjoying the Imperial Inn for about 15 years. It is one of our favorite places. We live in the Vineland area and travel the 28 miles to eat there and then come home. There are times we frequent a couple times a month and then not visit for a bit.The Imperial Inn is consistently one of the best restaurants in South Jersey. When we want to impress company and they like real Chinese or just quality food, this is our go to restaurant. The service has always been outstanding, the waiters attentive. They will answer any questions about ingredients or prep.As with any establishment once in a while they are a little overwhelmed by the unexpected wave of customers beyond what is the norm. This has only happened a couple of times in the 15 years. Service and meals take a little longer as would be expected. The food is authentic and delicious. Although they do offer General Tso’s Chicken, Moo Goo Gai Pan and similar fare, the vast majority of the extensive menu selections are authentic and ample. It is not American Chinese.I enjoy the broiled west coast fresh oysters with ginger and chives, as well as the ½ duck and just about anything off the menu. My wife likes the chicken and vegetables dishes. They will also cook to order if you are clear on what you want. The seating is comfortable, the restaurant clean. There is a lot of Asian cliental which to us is an indicator of the high quality. We have always felt comfortable. It is clean.
Chinese food done right the best by far in town always fresh and delicious great atmosphere a must!
Food always taste fresh. Never had a bad meal in the 10yrs that I have been coming to this place. Service staff always friendly. Great place to come eat with a group of people or even just 2 people. Also is BYOB.
We got the "spicy beef soup" it tasted like garbage in a bowl. We also got the $9 fried shrimp appetizer and long john silvers would have been better. Worst $24 ever spent on food. Tossed it all in the trash.
1st time here. Visiting from Los Angeles. Had the shrimp and pork wonton soup with noodles... #2 and Calamari appetizer. The bomb. Soup was fresh and calamari was the best Ive had.
The food in this restaurant was awesome!!Its hard to find great Asian food when your on Vacation thats just like ones around your hometown! I highly recommend dining here for lunch or dinner! Wont be disappointed!Great service too and friendly!!Very nice dining area!!
Used to go there alot four years ago. this last trip was not good. The egg noodles appetizer tablee snack chips that they being out were burnt. I ordered the egg foo young with pork fried rice and the egg patties were horribly burnt and the fried rice had barely any pork in it. Didnt look like the same owners or staff that was in there when I used to go regularly so Id also guess whoever is in the kitchen is different too. The wonton soup was just add good as I remembered though. Will go back one more time. If still bad that will be the last visit.
