Illeta dels Banyets - Archaeological site in Alacant, Spain
Restes de la història dels primers assentaments de l’home a la zona del Campello.Just darrere la torre de l’Illeta onces vigilaba dels invasors.Al sud del port esportiu la llotja de peix i el bar de la llotja on es pot menjar el peix que venen.
An archaeological site. It costs 5 euros to enter paid by either cash or card. Interesting dug sites and historical information boards scattered around the area. No bike parking around so better bring some bike key and park it at the side fence nearby.
We only saw the site from outside the fence as we arrived early. We were underwhelmed with what we saw so didnt bother waiting for it to open.
Wonderfully preserved and repaired Roman ruins.
Interesting and informative archeological site in a great setting, worth the visit and on the edge of El Campello marina and sea front, so plenty of places nearby for lunch.
Beautiful area. If you are not an archaeological expert or enthusiast, it will probably take you 30 minutes max to visit. It was free. There is parking next to the tower, only 2 min walk from the site.
No swimming in November!!
So beautiful ❤️

It is a historial site to visit
Super
The ruins itself are great. It is well maintained and cared for.
Loved it
We went to El Campello looking for nautical activities. We found the marina and the "Torre Vigia de la Ulleta". We continued walking to the beach and we discovered an old water reservoir. I was not signaled and people we asked had no idea of it use. Then we found the "Illeta dels Banyets". It is an archaeological site that was closed. We searched online and found the information. We will be back to explore it.
Interesting archaeological site in a beautiful location, most of the site can be seen from walking around the outside but probably still worth paying for admission for the extra information and helping with the upkeep.
Only 2er or so to go in, very cheap and well worth a short visit. Restored roman fish farm arm and some other ruins. A 30min explore or so.
Very beautiful place!
It was beautiful. The small sculptures around give it a different view
Lovely place, especially at sunset!
Beautiful clean and crystal clear water
Its alright, but if youre going to do some scuba diving dont expect to see much.
Calm place where you can swim in mini natural pools
Lovely historical place to visit. Only cost my family of four €1 to get in,(so we donated a bit more as the staff was great and friendly and 8nformayive about other places to visit). The site itself is very informative, with information boards in a multitude of languages,(inc english). The only thing is the site is small, and can be walked around in 30 minutes, but is well worth the visit. The adjacent beach and rocky areas on the front is lovely and my four year old loved that part. Free parking under 5 min walk away if your there early!Worth a visit.
Snorkel route
good for scuba diving and snorkelling but if you go deep always bring a knife if you get stuck in fishing line
Great ancient site
Ok
A good spot for an afternoons snorkelling fun. Plenty of fish. You can bring kids but make sure to bring water shoes.
It is a good visit for a morning. It doesn’t take long to visit and prices are very low. I’d recommend it for a cloudy day.
Nice place to chill around
Its an intestine historical place. I recommend going there.
Top!!!!!!!
Well worth a visit
Come here to understand our ancestors. Sara does a great tour at 12midday and at 4pm for €1,50. Otherwise just go snorkeling in the Roman fish pools (ancient steps into the sea are on the left hand side of the site)
Great place for some diving or also for a relax bath in an spa-like way in the ocean.
Awesome place for your vacation
Swimming in a place with 5000 years history is unique
Relax
Dont waste your time.
Nice Iberian and Roman ruins, great place for a dip in the sea.
An interesting archaeology site and a beautiful place to go for a walk , also a nice restaurant nearby overlooking the marina and bay .
Was an educational distraction on a spit of land. Some reconstruction on original buildings. Shame I didnt go for a swim :(
Interesting place to visit
Really nice part of the world, lots of fish to see in the clear waters of the marina
These Roman baths are a must visit place. Take snorkeling equipment if you have it.
Its beautiful but if you have kids, prams or wheelchair then there is no access to get to there
Cool place
Nice plaze to go swimming within the old remains of a Roman fishfarm. Remember a mask..
When old remains meet up with the deep blue sea...
