This casual standby with marina views & sidewalk seating offers Italian favorites & cocktails.
Food and service were good, but slow.I was in town for work and decided to stop here for dinner. I ordered the Alla Monzese which was very good, but not great. I was expecting the dish to have pieces of sausage in it, but it was only a little bit of ground sausage and I found that disappointing. Service was a bit slow (it took 30 mins for my order to come outbut the staff was friendly. I would come back, especially if I could get a seat on the patio next time.
Very polite waitstaff and amazing quality food.As for portions, Ill put it this way: my entire meal was a salmon and crostini plate with capers, arugula, and goat cheese, something intended as an appetizer. I decided to be a heathen and mix everything into the arugula and enjoyed a lovely salad while my partner had leftover Bolognese to bring home.We were in awe and will be returning. Even during the busier part of the day it was very quiet, and so close to home. The decor is lovely and charming (but the seats are cloth, so you may understandably need to brush some crumbs away before sitting down as I imagine it would be too expensive to pay an upholstery cleaner every day).
Food was good, drinks were good service was ok. Friendly staff just not very quick with drinks.
Wonderful, luxury restaurant with spectacular views. But like every other business in Portland with dinners on the sidewalk, the desperate homeless looking to wealthy guests for support have devastated the dining experience. FOGO De Chao is an exclusive fine dining experience right up the street.
I’m from NY and visited Portland for a wedding - was the absolute best decision we made while here! The food, view, environment & staff were next level incredible! Our waitress forgot to add our wine bottle to the check, so we told her, and she said not to worry about it since our entrees took longer than she said. Truly the kindest wait staff we ever experienced. Would 10000/10 recommend this place. Amazing food, great value & overall fantastic experience!
My husband and I are in Portland for part of our honeymoon and made a reservation at Il Terrazzo-we were not disappointed. They were quite busy, but did a fantastic job with the team they had. Even while we were waiting for our table they checked on us to assure us they’d be seating us as soon as they could. The staff was absolutely wonderful, and the food was phenomenal. I cannot recommend the Alla Monzese enough. My husband got the lasagna which was also fantastic. Great wine selection! Sitting right outside with a view of the harbor was delightful. We would absolutely come back on our next visit!
Fun spot along the Willamette River. We stopped in after a day of driving down from Canada. The food was really good and we had some Charcuterie with salad. Beer was good and the spritz was well done!
Tasty bolognese pasta recipe but VERY slow service. We sat for our 8pm reservation and ordered entrees shortly after, and did not have food until more than an hour later, due to the kitchen being “busy” at close. As a courtesy, we were given a cup of olives. Not the right place if you are on a tight schedule. Mama Mia is also a nice choice if you’re looking for gluten free pasta.
We try to have dinner here every time we are in Portland. The was excellent today and the location is wonderful!
Ok this place is really good lol Been here already a couple times with people from the office and it is great. Services is quick and efficient, food is great, fun place all around though. Today I had the salmon salad with the goat cheese, very tasty. I like it that it’s right on the Waterfront park, you get to walk off the calories right away :)
Excellent food (at least 3-5 interesting vegetarian entrees!and good drinks. Many wines. Only critique: Its a bit confusing to get there. The only entrance seemed to be on the riverwalk, with no direct access from the roads. So, you must park and walk along the river to enter. Just FYI.
This is probably my aunts favorite restaurant and I have been a few times with her. To celebrate her birthday my family decided to surprise her by meeting her here for dinner. I made a reservation a few months in advance and when I mentioned my plans they knew my aunt by name and were more than happy to help. They set up a great room for us and were incredibly kind. The food was obviously incredibly fresh and came out at a good pace. But it was the entire staff who went above and beyond on an obviously busy night to ensure that my aunts experience was memorable.
They were super busy and honest with me about how long it would be to seat me. The food was absolutely great. Kathryn, maybe the owner or just great employee was great. Everything about the place was wonderful.
Food was fresh and reminded me of true Italian cuisine! Our server DLaney was phenomenal! Well be back to try other menu items.
Honeslty; meh.Bland caesar.Pasta decent, if over salted.Proximity to theater 10/10Taste/value 5/10(Ginos in Sellwood is better, hands down)Service 7/10. Server was helpful but obviously VERY fake. Help means nothing when it is "put upon".
My wife and I enjoyed this wine bistro and restaurant.MOST, not all of the food is vegan, so beware. Many noodle dishes. We each had separate noodle dishes. Both were very good. Also the Lodi Zin went very well with our food and temperament.
I recommend you go to the waterfront, take a walk, and dine at Il Terrazzo. We dined in a large party and the chef prepared the menu in advance. We had starters and talked, but once we tasted the mushroom ragu over polenta, we stopped talking; the quality is divine! The service is keen and witty. We will return.
Ohhh goodness this place is amazing! The pasta is cooked perfectly, the view incredible but most importantly save room for dessert. The tiramisu is what dreams are made of.
Michael: you nailed it❣️BEST Caprese Salad I have eaten since I was in Italy. I have had your Caprese several times, and this version was the BEST! I know you experiment, but hang on to the roasted tomato flavors. The pungent basil leaves, covered by the creamy mozzarella, topped with the smokey roasted tomatoes, and drizzled with olive oil and balsamic reduction combined into THE perfect bite. ❤️
I really enjoyed and loved this restaurant…it was so nice to have a wonderful and delicate meal with nice, soft music background that allows customers to have a conversation without yelling due to loud music. My kudos to the chef and staff for an awesome meal and service! I will definitely come back!
Funky, friendly, delicious. Highly recommend a visit!
Its a small restaurant, was hard to find. The food was excellent, unfortunately it was unpleasant experience because of a large group of people that was extremely loud. When I mentioned it to the waitress she said just ignore it. Couldnt because you couldnt hear yourself think. Wont be going back.
What a wonderful dining experience! The food was authentic, fresh and delicious. The wine menu has something for everyone. The service was above and beyond! We were well taken care of at all times and never without, but we weren’t bothered or interrupted, which I appreciate! I often feel rushed when dining out elsewhere because the restaurant wants to turn the table, but I never felt that here. It was an authentic Italian dining experience where we were able to thoroughly enjoy each course and the company. We will be back soon with our friends and family!
Nice view, cute neighborhood by the river, good Italian food, a bit expensive, but it is a great place to come if you have a date. The glass windows are very open and give the restaurant a nice ambiance.
The waiter told us about his kids making the wine with his two sons squishing grapes in between their dirty toes. He went on to say that they had toenail infections causing costumers to get sick. He said they still serve the wine because it “adds a kick”. Another waiter wouldn’t stop correcting my Italian when I’ve lived there my whole life and speak fluently. She also spilled the dry wine on my child. Ms valley girl waitress gave us so much sass! Uncut gems
attention to detail professional staff and a wonderful dish
Intimate setting with beautiful views of the Willamette River. Fantastic service, excellent food. The Bascaiola and the Puttanesca reminded us of our times in Italy. The tiramisù was the best I have ever had and the cannoli was also delicious. I highly recommend for authentic Italian cuisine.
Delicious food and amazing service! We loved Catherine and the rest of the staff. Would definitely recommend the ravioli and her wine recommendations any time and will be returning
Great wine and dining experience. Let me explain...If you love wine...drinking, tasting, experiencing and discussing wine, you will love this place. Michael, (owner, I believeis fascinating and full of knowledge. They have an extensive wine list so you get to try wines that are hard to find. Jura Bubbles? Gattinaro? Greek option, lots of Italian options and local winemakers as well. I was impressed. You could be overwhelmed but thats where the staff comes in. They work with you and help guide you wines with their menu.Food: We ordered the Ahi tuna salad, a cheese and charcuterie board and a blue cheese, mushroom pasta plate (cant remember the exact nameand split it all. Wow. The salad was light, the cheese was complex and the pasta was rich. Finally, its located on the waterfront and I havent walked down there in years. It is a beautiful place to hang out. So, yeah. I loved the whole experience. Will go back.
Service was top notch. I’m sorry I can’t remember the name, but the server who helped us was amazing. My fiancé really enjoys dessert wines, the waitress was knowledgeable of the subject and was extremely helpful in finding something good. Pasta was delicious. Go here and you won’t regret it.I had 2 entrees, 2 appetizers, and a view of the River for a little over $100. Highly recommended
Very cute, little Italian place! Great food and attentive service. It turns to be one of my favorites in Portland!Update: Weve came here again and it was again outstanding. Very attentive, amazing service, GREAT food, good portions and fantastic desserts. One of my favourite, very private and cute places in portland - a gem.
Came here for a date with my boyfriend. Cute location on the river. We were seated quickly and the staff was super helpful in helping us order. They suggested a lovely wine to us that we enjoyed. Decent prices, great food.
This place is the real deal! Michael and Katherine were awesome and made us feel like we were dining in Italy! The food was terrific and the atmosphere was so relaxing, I could have stayed and talked to them all night!
The food was immaculate! I ordered the ravioli and 10/10 would order it again. It was cooked just the tiniest bit too long but the flavour of it and the sauce more than made yp for it.I also ordered the tiramisu and it was perfectly balanced
Always wonderful food and wine. They have the most incredible views of the Christmas ships. Weve had several large parties here before and everyone is always amazing and so knowledgeable!
Solid, classic Italian experience with affordable plates and deliciously balanced drinks. No frills, but every dish was simple and exactly what it was supposed to be. Floor to ceiling windows with views of the river and harbor, the Hawthorne Bridge, the Marquam Bridge, The Tillicum Bridge and the boardwalk. Great place to take a date or meet your semi-fancy friends.
Cute place on the river with outdoor seating, fine Italian food and amazing wine. Great service as well! The tartufo ravioli paired with a Demi bottle of amazing Italian wine recommended by our host was delicious. Kids enjoyed the pizza as well!
So glad we finally tried this restaurant. Michael was the best. Very welcoming and knowledgeable. The wine selection was excellent. Food was incredible. You can tell that both time and heart were put into the dishes. Highly recommended for a high quality Italian meal.
My daughter had her last-meal-in-town-with-friends here before moving to Italy, and the staff could not possibly have made it more special - or delicious! The manager went out of his way to share stories of his time and family in Italy, seated their party graciously while accommodating COVID protocols, and prepared a special 5-course meals for the group to enjoy together. They are still raving about the food, and the views were equal to the menu. I am in love with everything about this place. Do yourself a favor: GO!
This place is amazing! My fiance and I were in town for the night and really wanted to try this place. They were completely booked for the night, but happen to have a cancelation and fit us in. Everyone was so nice and thoughtful. The food was delicious. The bruschetta was so fresh and full of flavor. Thank you!
Waterfront outdoor seating! Perfect dinner spot on a summer evening! Great Italian food and exceptionally good service!! We will definitely be back!
Excellent food. Short a couple ingredients for the day, no crab or pepperoni, so I went with a pasta. Bread service was good as well, not quite as good as the pasta.Tiramisu was great, better than we even expected.
Loved the menu options. We were sold off on a bottle of wine which may or may not have been a smart idea :P Certain pasta dishes have way more quantity than some others, so it might be good to check if your choice needs to be shared. Also, what a great view. We went late April and the weather was great and the view was soothing.
The best lasagna Ive ever had! Tiramisu was excellent as was the burrata. Service was great. My wife had the Bolognese and she loved it! Head chef was present and accounted for. Well run and 5 well deserved stars
Cute little Italian joint with indoor and outdoor seating, right by the water. If you’re a wine lover, they have a large selection. Pasta was delicious and service was friendly
Good food and very good service here. The owner is very involved. He came out and checked on us several times and we had a good conversation with him about cooking, wine, and olive oil. I had the bolognese and it was quite good. Also the winner list here is good for domestic and import. They also seem to have a lot of banquet or meeting space here and outdoor seating.
Very nice bistro style restaurant with excellent food. From out of town and it is near my hotel. Convenience with great food and staff. The $33, 3 course dinner was perfectly prepared by a courteous and attentive staff.
First time here, went before hitting a show at the Keller Auditorium. Service was great, and wasn’t overly busy for a Saturday at 530Appetizer and foods were great. Bread is excellent. We had two orders both were different daily specials. A great pasta and sausage dish and a scallop and shrimp dish. Prepared perfectlyService was on the spot. also there house red wine is really good and pairs excellent with their foods. we will definitely be back.
Micheal K, Il Terrazzos owner, is a wonderful human being and a great restauranteur. Yummy food. Exceptional service. And even better wine list! Will be giving him kudos in this months edition of Portland Waterfront Living.
Terrazzos choice of wine is great! I had a house red that was delicious. They are a little spendy. It was $7 dollars just to get Hazelnuts. Great place, just wish their happy hour was longer.
