Il Siciliano - Pizza restaurant in Cascais, Portugal
Very authentic food and excellent service
Carbonara didnt have cream in it, so meal was off to a cracking start! It was a great carbonara, according to my fussy son. My meal was excellent also. Having said that, the ouse red wine was the worst ever, but at least they didnt charge me for my undrunk 50cl, which was decent of them. All wines are Italian, which I think is a bit silly in a restaurant in Portugal, but at least that decision talks to the authenticity that they are aiming for (and achieve, to be honest). Good meal, nice family atmosphere, great service).
Really tasty food and excellent customer service. The people are happy and welcoming and will happily serve you the best Italian food.
I used to come here as a kid after church and for celebrations with my family. It was always so cozy and familiar. I’m glad to see it’s still around!
My favourite place to go for dinner in cascais. Intact it’s the only place my partner and I really enjoy as a veggie and a meat eater. The veggie pizza is soooo good!
Delicious pizza. The tiramisu is to die for!Really friendly service, the pizzaiolo was all smiles since we first passed in front of the restaurant. We were with our dog, so we couldnt have the dinner inside, but we felt so welcome that we had it to take away and went back again to have the dessert.:)
Great service and quality menu. Very cozy space!
Great hospitality, and food family meal and very reasonable price.would return and recommend.
I expected much more regarding the taste of the food and service, but we took long time waiting outside that was windy to have a table despite having tables inside, but low staffs and the taste for pizzas in comparison others nearby were not so great as we had in other Italian restaurants, and not felt welcome we could find others more pleasant in service and taste of food, pizza was quite dried and lot of wheat bread left without topper as you can see on the photo.
Beautiful pizza, best ive had. Staff are so friendly. Must visit.I will be back for sure!
By far our favorite Italian and Pizza in all of Portugal...
Pizza was great! Recommended 🙌
Great proper Sicillian pizza in traditional pizza oven. Super-friendly owner.
Food was very good! Finally a proper, authentic Italian pizza. Pasta dishes were also great.
Really good value for excellent pizza & pasta. Wood fired pizza were as good as any we ate previously in Italy. Great to have an option of gluten free pizza and pasta. Service was also excellent and the staff were really friendly. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely food and great service. The starters, particularly the tomatoes with buffalo mozzarella were superb. Pizzas and wine also excellent. Would highly recommend.
Amazing food, amazing service and we loved it here! As a gluten free person, it is sometimes difficult to find places to eat but the restaurant was so accommodating, even with our little knowledge on Portuguese, and the food was amazing! The pesto pizza is super good and I would go as far as to say this is some of the best pizzaI have ever eaten - if not the best. Would recommend to anyone in the area - we will be back when we are next in Cascais and you should pay them a visit if youre thinking about it!
The bruschetas were ok. The bread was waaay drier than we had at other italian places, tomatoes didnt have much flavor. The pizza was good, not sure if it can be called Italian but I enjoyed the toppings and the crust. Thin, tasty, juicy yet not dripping grease. Lovely
Mushroom appetizer was delicious. Minestrone soup and Margherita pizza were also very good. Limoncello was the best!
Great pizza specially 4 quesos.
I keep coming back to this place for the delicious food and friendly staff. The desserts in particular are very authentic.
Really nice authentic Italian restaurant, good service. House wine was also really good
Lots of options of delicious pizza and pasta - both of which can be ordered as gluten free as well. The gluten free dough for was absolutely wonderful (tasted just like the real dough). Try the sangria, it was great too. The atmosphere is calm and slightly elegant, but fit for a family too. Chef and the staff were very welcoming and the overall experience was great.
Wouldnt let us eat with our two toddlers because we were only double vaccinated. We tried to show them a negative PCR test which by law is acceptable but they put us out onto the street. How sad in 2022, the restaurant was completely empty.
We ordered a salami pizza and a Vegetable Pizza as delivery. The pizza breads were baked perfectly and the sauce and toppings were delicious! We would like to visit the restaurant next time.
Stopped for short lunch. Very good crust. And they have gluten free if that is a need
Great to revisit this old time favourite. Fab pasta, salads & pizza... Never disappoints so do find it round the back streets of Cascais.
We have been to this restaurant several times. They have great pizzas and the services is fast and friendly.
Superb food, best Italian restaurant in Cascais
Best pizza in Cascais and they do gluten free! And the Green peppercorn fillet is awesome! Great service too!
Great pizzas, nice atmosphere. The service was really good and fast. Only thing to improve: add some cushions to the outside chairs.
Best Italian pizza in Cascais, with fresh local ingredients, Sicilian olive oil and Campania canned tomatoes. Pasta is also very good, especially the oven cooked /al forno specialties.
I’ve been eating here a few times and it’s very good. The homemade desserts especially are exceptionally good, staff is very nice too.
One of the best Pizza / Italian restaurants in Cascais and Estoril. Delicious bread, Spicy olive oil. Amazing coffee and dessert options including Sicilian Cassata and Cannoli. Definitely recommended if you are looking for Italian place in Cascais or Estoril.
Authentic Italian pizza. Great customer service. Don’t forget the dessert.
Very charming place to have dinner, I recommend.
Very good service and food. I wish they made a smaller size pizza during the pandemic, because with the limited exercise were unable to burn off the calories as well. Or even 2 smaller pizzas for the same price. This way a vegetarian can have separate toppings without issue
Best pizza in the Lisbon Metropolitan area. The food is delicious thanks to the amazing Italian chef and the staff is very welcoming. Travelling long ways to come here to eat!
Best Pizzeria in Cascais!! Fresh products and really good price. We made a reservation and got a table outside. Love it, especially during the warm weather. (During the winter, we prefer seating outside🥶)The waiter was super sweet, 5 stars for him too! 12.90€ for a seafood pizza, you won’t find that anywhere else! I recommend it 100%!
Staff is friendly and the food is good. The canolli is to save room for.
We were lucky to be there very early, otherwise you will have no chance to get a table.... I really understand why! Delicious pizza and spaghetti with salmon was also great. A little bit funny to have Italian food in Cascais, but if you are longing for a pizza, this is the best place to go.
Excellent food at terrific value. Salmon Tagliatelle was delicious and the pizzas were fresh and flavoursome, straight from the wood fired oven.
I hae been coming to Cascais for 10 years. If you like authentic Italian pizzas this is the best place you will find. Great bases, good quality toppings and reasonably priced
Locals love this place, as do we. Low key. Great staff. Excellent food. Good Italian wine. (A welcome change. Dont get me wrong, we love Portuguese wine, but...Pizza has that unique European taste which we miss back in California. Everything fresh & lovingly prepared. One of our goto places in Cascais.
The pizza is excellent, well served and tasty. The place is very cozy. The staff is ok. I will repeat it.
Good pizza! Also tasty bruschetta. If you’re looking for italian food in Portugal go here.
Ordered pasta that was fine. Nothing that I would expect at an Italian restaurant more something I would make at home. We ordered Sangria and it was basically overpriced watered down fruit juice. Definitely no alcohol involved. Very disappointed. The house bread served complimentary was fine. The pizzas looked pretty amazing so would maybe recommend those if you still go.
Good pizza with soft dough. They use fresh ingredients and lovely pineapple. Typical Italian waiters and chef. Its an informal restaurant, so children are perfectly tolerated. I recommend it for quick dinner with the family.
Great lunch and amazing service from English speaking waiters. We had their pizza which was really good and fairly priced.
Got there at 10pm on a Sunday night and it wasnt empty, but also not too full. A little bit off the tourist path so seems quite good value for the really delicious pizza and tiramisu we had! Lots of vegetarian options. Also really attentive service and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
