Excellent Food is worth the price. Big portions amazing Customer service Fantastic Ambiance. Must Go
Amazing place, wonderful food, waiters are excellent with hospitality. Only challenge is the smokers, their smoke still reaches us the non smokers
Authentic Italian cuisine with serene calmness. Love the greenery. Incase if you feel like trying your luck u can visit the adjacent building Mayfair Casino
Its an amazing place, perfect customer service, good food, great ambience... Id definitely go back!
Excellent service and really good food.
Would be highly recommended for good Italian food. We being pure vegetarians got a variety of dishes suitable. It on some days has a live band playing. Nice place.
Nice food and staff. The place has a great ambiance for chilling.
It was my first time here and i loved how chill it was. First of all the interior was great. It had that vintage vibe about it. Large wall mirrors, paintings and all. The service was great and the food was good too. I tried the italian style cuisine from lasagna to italian pizza, pene and the bolognese pasta. Overall it was a great hangout place. I would recommend it
The food here is delicious. .service is really good and a hidden gem within the city
It has a clean and wide room for dining. The workers are kind and nice. However, the foods are too salty for me and my friend. We even needed to eat them with bread because of TOO MUCH SALTY TASTE. I don’t want to visit here again for a meal.
Visited in the evening had Pizza and Classic Lasagne.... Cooking is decent took 20 mins to have my meal, can take bill in cash or plastic. Environment is private with secure parking. Feels like an extension or backdrop to Mayfair Casino for a decent pasta.
My favorite Italian place in Kampala. Its a high end place with reasonable pirces and both food and service quality have been consistently high for the decade Ive known it.
Beautiful Ambience as always. Tasty food.
Have you ever felt that you are outside Uganda when inside.. this place is by far the coolest.. very classy and has all types of foods.. there pizza can make you hate all other pizzas in Uganda.. customer service is at its best here . You feel like ur not a stranger at all.. it has big parking too.. its really classy trust me .. I liked it the time I entered and wasnt disappointed at all.. please keep it up
its a lovely place and the ambience is lovely and as the same says it, there is a beautiful patio. the food is authentically Italian, there are other options too ofcourse. its a good choice and for a romantic night out or a family outing with the children. there is ample parking and the place is located right in the middle of town.
Great night views, yummy pizza!
Its a beautiful place with amazing food and good service...
The place is near a casino, the food is Not as good as imagined
Best Italian in Kampala. I love the expat feel, and the ambience.
AMAZING Italian food, fantastic service and such romantic ambiance! I love every second of it!
Very popular with expats and in quite an exclusive location, as it is within the same building as Mayfair Casino - with the entrance just to the right of the door to the main lobby. Although the decor is quite dated, the atmosphere is still quite luxurious. I had some breads, soup and lasagne - it was all really tasty and didn’t take too long to prepare, even though my waiter warned me that it would. Nevertheless, there are better Italian restaurants in Kololo. It was good, but that’s it!
This restaurant is located in an interesting building; the architecture is unique - I haven’t seen anything quite like it in Kampala. The parking is very ample and secure. The building is home to a casino with the restaurant located on the patio (hence the namefacing a green courtyard. The courtyard makes the ambience quite special and interesting. I think they were going for a moorish/moroccan theme but the decor is a bit dated. The waiters are polite and helpful. I had the passion juice without sugar while I waited for my date to arrive - it was refreshing. When we ordered, the waiters were a bit slow to come and take our orders. The bread and butter before the meal was great, especially the breadsticks. The food came faster than I expected. The pizza was slightly disappointing - there wasn’t enough chicken. The stuffed pasta was just ok - not very exciting. The waiters offered extra cheese for the pasta - which was a nice touch to their service. Overall, the food is ok, the service is great, the toilets are very clean, the ambience is nice but needs an update, the prices are quite reasonable for the kind of restaurant. I would give this restaurant another visit.
Really Nice food good ambiance and good service as well
The restaurant has good food with big portions, good ambience and friendly staff. Probably the beat Italian food you can find in this part of the world. The restaurant is usually a lot of expats which kind of took away from the “local” experience but overall we had a lot of fun.
Been there about 5 times each time it takes a very long time and recently when I went itTook an hour to bring my food, got the wrong sides and did the steak rare instead of medium well. Overall there are many better restaurants in Kampala would not recommend
Best Italian in Kampal
Why two stars? Service! The family came here for my birthday. We arrived slightly after 9pm. Our server seemed more interested in going home that serving clients. He was rude, absolutely disinterested in answering our questions about items on the menu; completely unprofessional. The food was okay, but by the time we go it it was cold.Dont get me wrong This restaurants ambiance is out of the world. And Im sure the food could have been better, but the service and unprofessionalism spolit what could have been a great experience.
Tonight was my first time to visit this restaurant. And I hasten to add that its the best restaurant I have been to in Kampala. My relationship with food is personal. It goes back to my family and my childhood. It has changed and developed over the years and having lived abroad for a part of my life and returned back home to Uganda, I inadvertently found myself on some sort of food quest to find a restaurant that my taste buds could call home.I was so determined to find it that I was even very recently willing to give up going to restaurants in Kampala all together than to compromise my standards! I had failed to find it.Ive had horrible experiences with the food industry in this country. From the service to the food. The meals have been as uninspired as the staff and the chefs who make them.I dont want to jinx it but Ive found my restaurant. Like I said, Ive only been here once but everything was on point. The service, the timeliness, the presentation, the food quality, the premises themselves. This is my kind of restaurant and I think you may agree with me too.
crab meat cream pasta was so yummy. however meat is a bit tough. overall good
I was very impressed with this place, I had a mushroom risotto that tasted amazing and the service was phenomenal. The interior of the restaurant is nicely decorated. The pricing is very fair for being such a high end place. Im definitely coming back to this place, I absolutely loved it!
Best Italian restaurant in town. Excellent food. Great service. The staff are amazing with kids. The spinch rissoto and the desserts were fantastic. Highly recommend as a must for any visitor to the city.
Excellent Italian food in large portions. I had the chefs special seafood salad which was delicious and had prawns, calamari, octopus, and a white fish, I think possibly perch. It also has grated carrot, green peppers, tomotoes, and lettuce. The dressing was lemon and olive oil.I also ordered chicken breast with lyonaisse potatoes. Another large portion. The sauce was a bit tart and acidic but otherwise OK, rich lemon butter and parsley flavour. The service throughout was exemplary. Friendly and not overbearing. Drinks were reasonably priced too. Once I get to know the menu better I think this will be an excellent quality vs. price option in central Kampala.
Excellent restaurant. Real hidden gem.
What a great find this restaurant is. Wonderful pizza and continental food. Quiet garden setting. It is behind a casino but once you are inside you would never know it. Highly recommend
Lovely place, good atmosphere and the food was good too. Safe some space for the third course. Most of the car parking is taken up by people going to the casino so be careful.
Great food. Its diff food . Nice food . Happy with the menu and staff. Not very expensive . Tasty and hygienic food . Very of salads . Veg and non both kind foods . For a Asian it will be great food to task its quit different and tasty food in town .
Place is nice and beautiful. However food is a little delicious. Also price is middle-high. But affogato and coffee is so sweet. Enjoy your time.
Their service is superb, the cuisine is exquisite. Good for those in need of first class meals and service. You will not be disappointed.
Wow, how did I not know about this place before!? A+ atmosphere and service. Cheaper prices than Mediterraneo, and I honestly think BETTER food! Will be returning for sure. The Ciocolatissimo dessert was unbelievable.
