Food was OK. We were greeted and taken to our table by nice younger waiter.The customer service experience then went down hill by the rude unfriendly grumpy 70 year old male waiter. Obviously he needs to retire or should be retired. People dont need to be feeling unwelcome from the beginning by first throwing the menus at the table

UGLY FOOD, UGLY SERVICE, UGLY STAFF!!!!!THE STAFF IS RUDE!!! WE ASKED IF THEY HAVE FREE WATER. THEY TOLD US TO GET FROM THE RIVER. MYGOSH!!!! THIS PLACE SHOULD BE CLOSED. THEY DONT DESERVE TO HAVE A BUSINESS. THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS!THE STEAK TASTES BAD. IT IS NOT MEDIUM RARE! IT IS DEFINITELY RAW! THEY DID NOT ASK US HOW WE WANT THE STEAK TO BE COOKED!WE PAID FOR A SERVICE FEE OF €3 PER HEAD FOR THE UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE!OUR EXPERIENCE HERE IS VERY BAD! WE PAID FOR €83 FOR 1 STEAK AND 1 PASTA. THEY SAID THE STEAK IS 1 KG BUT IT IS DEFINITEY NOT 1 KILO! LOOK AT THE PICTURE!!!!PETITION TO SHUTDOWN THIS OVERPRICED RESTAURANT! NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY!

Such a lovely location to have a meal.The food was delicious and very reasonably priced.

Unfortunately the meal I ordered (penne dei golosywas tasteless, the “meat” was just fat pieces. The staff also seemed quite rude, talking over your table and laughing/smirking when you acknowledged it. Asked 3 times for the bill. Good view from the restaurant though!

Yikes. I very rarely leave poor reviews, but this was so bad that it was funny. We knew it was a tourist trap but in Italy, oftentimes even tourist traps have good food. Not here. $15 for a single rubbery sausage that could barely be swallowed, coperto $3 per person as a hidden fee, no service, noticed a large soda costs $11 (didn’t order). Great location for live music on the square but I suggest going to one of the great little sandwich shops next door and eat on a bench instead (I had to do that to get a full meal after this joke).

Terrible food. The lasagna and risotto were disgusting. The pizza and pasta were bearable I guess.

Pizza is decent, not spectacular, service is decent, not friendly. After we ate, some hobo got really really annoying and waiter defended him saying that he was his friend and said that its okay. Coperto charge is $3 per person.

Avoid; a tourist trap. Expensive and terrible. Italian cuisine of a caliber you’d expect in northern England, not Tuscany.

Very slow and unpleasent service, the food was served cold and was not tasty at all.

The location is great. The food is below good. We ordered pasta carbonara and pizza. The pasta was good, the pizza took more than 30 min! I cancelled one pizza and they were very upset. The waiter behavior was very bad! Very bad service and the owner was literally forcing people from the street to sit while they dont have any capacity to serve more people!

Overall a great experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, food was excellent and coffee the best finishing touch. It was not cheap but worth every penny.

Very good Italian ice cream. One of the best in Brussels.

Really fresh pizza and bruschetta. Granted, this is in the middle of a tourist plaza so prices are higher than you would expect, but you are also probably hungry and looking for a spot to eat and relax in AC out of the sun. Wouldn’t go out of the way to find this place, but definitely worth your while if you are hungry and near by.

I enjoyed the food and service, I think we understood that the price would be higher based on the location.

nice location. i visited 3 times while i stay upstairs. all of the staff were friendy and helped us when i had some trouble. it was very impressive. have a try! but mind that it closes 11pm (well, like most of the restaurants nearer)

Amazing atmosphere! Right in the square.. everything was delicious and the staff was beyond amazing giving the kids blankets/ponchos while we ate outside. Highly recommend and will be back. Grazie!

This was by far the worst meal I’ve ever had. The wine was garbage, many of the mussels were missing meat and tasted disgusting, and the fried zucchini was so soaked in oil that it tasted like carnival food which is bad considering we’re from USA… We were signaling to others to not come in. Had to go somewhere else to get the taste out

Good food, service, but when is cold outside is better to choose other place, the heating come only from one inverter from the wall.

This is another restaurant I found on The Fork which offered a 50% off discount from the bill. Due to that, we ordered a LOT of food. All of it was good but none of it was great and I’m not sure I would necessarily come here without a discount in my reservation. It’s located in a fairly touristy area and the prices reflect that. We ordered for starters the pear and cheese plate who h was huge and definitely could have been shared. My partner ordered the buttata and meat board. For primi I ordered the four cheese gnocchi which were good and my partner got the carbonara which he wasn’t impressed with. For our main courses I got the Florentine steak which is definitely not worth the price, very fatty with little good meat on it. My partner got the beef tartare which was good but not the best. Overall, I’m going to try and find something better for dinner in Florence but this place is worth a try if you have the discount.

Please check on the charges.The beer is more expensive than the food.Questionable???Aranciatta Grande?? That was supposed to be a fanta and it is as much as expensive as the Spaghetti menus.😳😳😳Not good.Never good.

Fantastic view with funny, entertaining staff. He gave us a little gift of a postcard which is the same view if you sit outside. I absolutely want to visit again

Stopped by to order take-out and the owner greeted my and was friendly and gracious. took my order and let me sit at a table inside to wait. 10 minutes later, my pizza and fried calamari was ready and packaged well.Highly recommend the food which was perfect and delicious, and the stellar service, even for take-out. Il Bargello is a must go for me whenever I go to Firenze. I recall enjoying their salads and pasta before the pandemic. This time my family and I went once only for dinner during our one week stay. We loved the atmosphere and the food. I can recommend their gnocchi ai quattro formaggi. To die for.!!! Lasagna was not the best we ever had. The calzone was delicious. The staff friendly and helpful. I do recommend it with all my heart.

The pizzas were delicious, and the environment is very friendly. I can not forget to mention how nice the stuff is! All this together provide an great dinner 😊 I definitely recomend!

Service was spectacular. Fast, fun, listened to our needsNegroni was perfect. Bitter, sweet, big.Pizza was thin, too crispy, slightly burned at the end but the review has nothing to do about the burn. Pizza dough should be luscious and this just wasnt.Ingredients on the pizza were great but food was subpar for italy.Definitely choose a different spot unless youre just drinking.Edit: they charge a cover charge for no reason, changed from 3 star to 1 star. Ridiculous. If it was busy or they had live music. Fine. But a cover charge for no reason is not redeemable.

Staff was nice and considerate. Had Atomica pizza and lasagna. Wife loved her dish too. Beautiful at night. Also, ask for the kiwi spritz. Great!

There are reviews that say the staff was unfriendly, but I cannot disagree more. The staff was more than delightful and the food was great. Yes, I’m pretty sure that most of the clientele is tourists like me who happened to be near the piazza, but still the food was great with every pasta perfectly “al dente”. Cozy and cute, highly recommend if you’re in the neighborhood.

We’ve had an amazing time the last few days in Florence. The Ristorante Pizzeria Il Bargello restaurant exceeded our expectations. The wait staff was engaging and fun. The owner was adorable. We had an amazing meal and great wine. They must do when in Florence.

Tourist-Trap! They charge you between 20 to 25 Euro for the table ("coperta" aka service feeand they dont disclose it in advance so it was a big surprise when we got the check. After I paid, the waiter took the receipt and disappeared quickly. Because a lot of people got ripped off (read all the other negative reviewswe took pictures and will report this restaurant to Italys financial police, the "Guardia di Finanza". Did I already mention that we literally had the worst food ever eaten in Italy?

Friendly staff and attentive, considering that the restaurant was busy at the time.We stopped by here for a refreshment between lunch and dinner at 5 PM in a very hot hot summer day.Lasagna was delicious, we also ordered pizza and orange juice.

Had an amazing time here. Food was very good, service was amazing. The waited out forth every effort to make sure my wife and I had an enjoyable experience. After our dinner, we were even brought complementary limoncellos! Really made our time in Florence special.

Average food and charged ridiculous amounts. A coke cost almost as much as a pizza and on top of a service charge and cover charge, the waiter hovered over our table and pressured us into giving him a tip. He was rude about our 10% tip saying it was ‘better than nothing’. Waiter handed my boyfriend the bill, and gave me a postcard saying ‘I’ll give this to you’ then laughed. Would not recommend.

Even though im not raisist and usually not left the comment , but i would like to comment it. there is raisism between Cocasian and Asian.and really rude ,impolite.Here is the worst restaurant that ive ever experienced in Italy, Europe and my treveling experience(i treveled more than 15country USA,Canada,Frence,Germany, etc)I took inside site alone.Server usually cut my talk while i asked WIFI-Password and order foods.as well as they didnt give the bill for 10min since i asked the bills and throw the coins on the table when he gave the changes.i was disappointed in Italy and this City. so im gonna skip and cancel all of treveling in Firenze

Food and wine were delicious. Wish wed had time for dessert but had tickets for the gallery. Staff are very pleasant and happy to recommend dishes. Can highly recommend the veal with asparagus. Its not much to look at but the taste is divine!

Really good pasta and the best panna cotta! Fast and amusing service. Romantic interior decor and conveniently located off the plaza.

The view of the piazza was amazing and had 2 waiters who made us laugh, spoke enough English while keeping it authentic and looked after us. We had a few drinks, coffees, paid service and had 2 awesome pizzas for less than 50 euro. Happy we went!

Please try the lamb!!!! Our waiter had the best sense of humor.
