Ikebana Sushi Bar - Guaynabo in San Juan

$3.85 for a can of coke.Sushi is okay at best.Moises was an amazing server.

Not as good as I remembered. Poor service and nothing tasted up to our expectation. Sorry to see it disappoint its long lived reputation. Not going back.

The wait was completely unreasonable, we waited for over 1hr45min for food without apologies, explanation or anything to eat while we waited. We were about to leave, after 2hrs of waiting for our food, and they brought the sushi to us, with a mild apology and the smallest discount ever for having us wait with no food. We waited for drinks, and even water. Horrible experience, definitely not coming back.

Sushi was amazing, tried the sumo and the mariachi and both were great. I always eat crab rangoons and sushi places but they don’t have it, instead ask them what’s the closest thing to it and they have it. Waiter gave good recommendations and was attentive to our needs.

Have to give it a 0 horrible service worst place to eat the food is way wayyy to pricey for what it is there’s way too many asian restaurant in Guaynabo for anyone to choose this one so STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE RESTAURANT

Food was very good but the service very poor. I had to stand up to look for someone to take an order for extra drinks. I later cancel the order for they tool too long.

It was too expensive for a so so taste, i tasted way better sushi and food at other places. Meh experience.

Best sushi!!! Super fresh, the rice is not only an amazing price but super delicious, in total I think I spent about 8 dollars?

Good food, done very far from Japan and very close to Puerto Rico.

Service was impeccable, the place is clean and followed Covid regulations. Tried the King rolls and they were amazing.

Sushi (shrimp tempurawas ok, not the best I had and I think it was a bit expensive for the taste. I really expected more flavor.

I’ve been in this place many times. Today very much for my surprise the sashimi tasted weird it’s not right. We complained without eating it and they took it and replace it with another type of tuna yet we where charged for everything ,,,,, unbelievable

Best Sushi Restaurant in PR. My favorite roll is called Dennis. They also have a great variety of wines, beers, and cocktails. I recommend it 100% for the sushi lovers.

I wanted to order to go so the bar tender took my order of two Nakima it took more the hour to get my order and more then one person asked what i wanted but none knew where my order was o who took my order even the manager came up to me to ask what was my order after almost 45 minutes i had no rush to leave but after i explained to the manager that the people at the bar took my order they denied it as if i was gonna just sit there all night and not order anything at all once the order was done I paid full price but maybe someone else would have fought because of the wait i was just glad I was finally gonna eat something.

It is not the best quality of fish, but the sushi rolls are great. Skip nigiri or sashimi and go for the sunomono salad.

Been going for years (when they were where Bottles isfood is still very good ... but the service sucked. Absolutely no management presence. The girl who waited on us was very sweet but had no support or training. Feel sad cuz this used to be my favorite sushi place. Marcelo made the difference ... need to find someone like him to survive

Sushi here is good but it is more like a fusion than traditional sushi. The spicy avocado crab salad was good and huge quantity in comparison to other restaurants. Sushi was fresh and tasty. The spicytuna roll was my least favorite here because it was not spicy at all but the Sidney rollwas good. The service here was good,our waiter was efficient and friendly but they took too long to bring our food. In general, Ikebana was good but not as great as other sushi bar restaurants in Puerto Rico.

Great service, but I was not amazed with the menu. Have patience because they are slow.

Slow slow slow, still waiting for my order while having a beer. 45 minutes for Two hand rolls to go on a tuesday night, not great.Update: my unattentive server ordered me regular uremaki rolls. Plus i had to go to the hostess who did me the favor to go pick up may order which was just laying at the sushi bar for who knows how long.Last but not least, 15% of tip was automatically added for my convinience as recipt reads, how convinient for bad service reward.👌🏻Ikebana, feel free to contact me.

Worst experience ever! Ordered sushi for takeaway and was given 45 mins time but when I got there in 44 mins they said that the order isn’t ready and took extra 30 mins. To calm me down she offered a drink as complimentary only to find out they charged me for it. Big liars! Untrustworthy

Excellent food , the spicy tuna wasnt what I expected STAFF 5 STARS and Raymond Acevedo my favorite barman.

It was good not great. Service great, food was average. The bartender was awesome and the prices where way too expensive. Will give 5 stars if they improve.

This restaurant was awesome the Hostess Melanie was awesome as well as the famous singing waiter I want to say his name was Xavier also the manager ❤️🧡💛💓Hector n bar tender made me the best 🥭 mango margarita yep my special drink (Mel’s Mango Margarita)Hector Rivera this drink should totally be on the menu. Food was good manager interaction beautiful atmosphere. Thanks again guys.

Usually this place is top notch. This time it was dreadful. Poor service. Fish not that great. Even the ambiance was not good. For the prices they charge they need to get it right every time.

If you go out with a budget in mind it probably wont be the cheapest place keep that in mind, aside from that is a very nice place, the waitresses are super friendly and the food comes out fast...The star I took out is mostly for the music that is not exactly my taste

Our first place to dine out after the lockdown. Surprisingly great protocol, temperature and names taken at the door. Clean and spacious outdoor area. Served all the time with our waitress wearing a mask. She even brought to us the credit card we forgotten there. Cant recommend more!Love the plum wine i ordered :)

Sushi great quality! I love how they make the Chocolate Martini’s. Best Crab & Avocado Salad. Customer service was amazing. I’ve been there more than 3 times. Definitely I recommended.

Great armosphere, very chill and cozy. Love the Leechi Martini and their crab salad with avocado. Sushi rolls were great, I just cant recall which one were the ones I ordered. They were from their specialty menu.

For me the best sushi in the metropolitan area. My favorites the tsunami and mariachi rolls and the tuna avocado salad is really good too. If it was for my wife we would be there every week.

Great service and ambiance. Sushi and deserts are "ok". We had the Siberia, Mexican and Tsunami rolls. For desert, the chocolate decadence, fried ice cream and tres leches cake.

I dont usually leave bad reviews about restaurants, but this food was bland and the prices were very high. The chicken satay was just grilled, unmarinated chicken served with a scoop of plain peanut butter! The sushi was ok, but you can get tastier sushi other places for much cheaper! I gave 3 stars instead of 2 because the server was very nice!

The waitress service rocks! And the chef talent is to die for. I ate the beef tenderloin and it melt in my mouth! Price range is fine and my kid loved their sushi. They treat you like royalty. I ask for the fried ice cream and it was delish. Cant recommend enough.

worst sushi bar have ever went to. The tempura is like hard chopstick. Got a sheet iron from the drink. Can’t image how did they get a 4.4 score by 200+ people. Trust me don’t waste your money.

4 items 64 dollars. The place is clean, the service was good, we were offered 7 dollar drinks multiple times.We sat outside because the inside was full, super uncomfortable chairs. The Mariachi roll is $16, tastes like hot garbage. Tuna roll was the best, simple. 5 dumplings, 10 dollarsMr. Rivera,I understand the concept of a restaurant but thank you for the enlightenment.A quick search in the history of Ikebana reviews will reveal a constant complaint for your 5 stale dumplings at 10 dollars. It will also reveal your great skill at car salesmen-like responses.The constant offering of seven dollar drinks felt more like harassment by your waiters.Thank you

This was my second time I ever had Sushi. My first time was a bad experience for me so for years I did not want to try again. When I read about this Sushi place I decided to give it another try and am I glad I did. I ordered the Shrimp roll, Eel, and spicy tuna. They were all made to order and very fresh and tasty. I also had some pork dumplings with eel souce and the flavor was amazing. The service was great and so was the restaurant itself. You should check this place out for sure, you will not regret it. Also, free parking......... most places in or near San Juan chare for parking :)

My best friend visited PR and was looking for a good sushi restaurant, and I was looking for a restaurant with craft beers.So I looked on Google maps searched for sushi and Ikebana delivered like no other.Service was fast, food was excellent, the dining area has lots of space perfect for large groups of people.I had a salmon with fried rice. The salmon was excellent, beautiful crust on the outside moist on the inside, the rice was a little dry but good flavor. I had a Lagunitas IPA, my friend had a dark Modelo.The portion were well rationed, we were so full we didnt try dessert. Highly recommended, will visit again!

I ordered thru the Uva! App for pick up at the store. After I paid and waited for about 20 minutes I received a call that the restaurant does not do pick ups but they do delivery. This would have been fine if it was specified anywhere on the app or restaurant. I was coming from another city so I did not have a delivery place. But to charge, thru the app they appear to be very diligent.

Good nigiri, huge pieces, but tasty. Those were the highlight. Good beer selection. The rolls I tried lacked flavor and were too big. Stick to the simple sushi. The dumplings were below average and too expensive.

Interesting place in the middle of San Patricio, sushi was good. The signature rolls were interesting flavor combinations. Quite a few craft beers and a decent selection of wine. Price is in line with the location. Would definitely recommend.

Delicious sashimi and nigiri. Their slices are twice as large as in any other sushi restaurant. They have a small salon for private dining for 7 to 10 people. Nice atmosphere and convenient parking right in front of the entrance door. Nice neighborhood, part of the San Patricio Mall, but on a separate small building by itself. Very convenient, no matter how you cut it or slice it, (do pardon the pun). Visit. You will not regret it.

The reason why Im rating this restaurant with one star is because I visited Ikebana Thursday January 4, 2018 (Night Shiftand I got totally disappointed with everything this place have to offers to their customers. Currently I dont live in Puerto Rico, but I visit the island multiple times every year, and in Summer 2017 and now the service havent change. I used to live in Puerto Rico and I was a regular customer of this restaurant for years, and I remember how great Ikebana used to be. Due In the past this restaurant was wonderful, I decide to give a second chance now on Christmas, but OMG horrible service, horrible food, and not only the Sushi but main entry quality was really bad. The customer service. OMG they totally forgotten they have customers and the waitress and supervisor stay in the back of the restaurant making jokes.Im really disappointed of this Ikebana customer service. If any of the owners read this comment. You have a wonderful restaurant and due your employees, you are loosing faithful customers. I will never eat on this place again and I will never recommend Ikebana again. I used to recommend this place for sushi because use to be the best Sushi restaurant in Puerto Rico. Excellent service provided by the staff. The cocktails and beer selections are superb. Not to mention that they have the best creative Sushi in Guaynabo. Kitchen is available until midnight on weekends.

way to expensive. really good sushi and great service but prices are rediculous. a California roll is $10.00, back home in Chicago, its only $5.00. they have a mango roll with tuna and crab that was $15.00, back home its $7. we got 3 rolls, 1 small bowl of rice and 2 drinks and paid $70. ...so basically, its 30-35% more expensive here then back in Chicago. ...maybe it cost more to buy fish here in Puerto Rico or maybe Ikebana just charges to much, not sure. ...but Ill say again, if you can afford it, the food is great and the service is excellent! thank you ikebana for giving us great tasting food!!

One of the best sushi places on the island. Great selection of original sushi creations, great selection of beers and wine to go with the food. If you have any type of food allergies or particular tastes, they will happily design something for you.
