Ignia in Madgaon

The board outside reads Famingo. Reviews of Ignia looked great here and the menu was very interesting. Upon going there, we found many items of our interest in the menu not available as in “we don’t have it today”. We left without dining as we felt the waiting staff to be quite unaware of the menu items and there was absolutely no table occupied..

Great cocktails and good food. Great ambience and the bartender was very hospitable and welcoming. I loved the grill on the table. I thought it was innovative ! The location is a bit confusing and since we went in the evening, it was a bit scary for me to drive in the road. Anyhow, I do feel this place will be amazing in another location perhaps.

IGNIA were not equipped for dinner hence we could not order steak or pork as the main course ( only chicken / fish was available for the main course)but stuck to starters which more than made up. Hence call up in advance and ask them if they have sufficient food stocked up.Tried the following :-Ghost Chilli chicken ( not for the faint hearted)-Old spice spiked pork- Tuscany Beef-Pesto dipped vegetables- Coorg style pork- cilantro kissed prawnAll the meats come on 2 individual skewers which are mounted on a portable barbecue that sits at the centre of the table ( Much like BBQ Nation)Kid friendly place as pastas and French fries available . The Penne in white sauce was exceptional. I really wish I was a pasta person because the Italian dishes on their menu were really tempting ( Hand rolled ravioli..🤤)Their cocktail bar and options is really something . I tried the famous Beerita .. and another Ignia special gin cocktail and it really blew my mind..Dessert- Tried the deep fried ice cream Dicky Bird and the White chocolate fudge . Dick Bird was really unique whereas the white chocolate fudge can easily be given a miss .All in all it was a great experience. A must visit when in South Goa . Their menu is very unique and the taste of the food follows through as well. Great service ( we were only two couples ). Teh head waiter gave us some good recommendations and it all lived up to what he mentioned .

This place again has great potential, am giving 3 starts just for the service and ambiance. The food was average to below average. The meats weren’t fresh like you would expect. Excellent location with below par food. Not sure if it was a one off bad experience or things have gone downhill. I have had better food here in the past.Update: after a year, had the pasta and again the chicken was dehydrated. The pasta by itself was really nice but chicken was disappointing.Cocktails were really good, enjoyed it a lot.Love the place and location.

Worst management ever. I had made a reservation and had gone all the way from the north to the south and despite confirming the reservations even on the same day, upon visiting the hotel the staff dint even give us a place to sit.. They had some party being held at the venue and since it was just two of us we told to give us a table anywhere since we came from the north and had made prior reservations.. The ride staff made us wait out in the rains n thats when I decided to walk off and write this review and let people know the kind of management they have. I never stepped into this place and vouch to never do so again. They r just too full of themselves and I hope they would just learn to respect customers. Anyway it was a bad experience I had and hope nobody else faces the same

Good food and good variety of cocktails. Price is on higher side. Secluded location and nice ambience.

Dining at Ignia was supposed to be a pleasant experience but instead turned into what was the worst experience I have had in my lifetime. The staff performed well and ambience was to par, but go to the restroom and you will be met with a different scene. Add to that the fact that food I consumed gave me the worst case food poisoning leaving me sleepless through the night and my distaste for the restaurant becomes clear. Would never recommend or go back again.

At first the road leading to the place.. Makes u wonder are u on right track.. But when u arrive at the place. U get the feel of place.. . Nice and cosy ambience. . Soft music . Delicious finger licking good.. Nicely balanced spices .. On table grill for ur chicken.. And gr8 cocktails and bar...Staff is friendly and awear of their jobs .. Excellent service .. Dont know about afternoon . But night is very relax .. U can actually enjoy the company and good chats with nears and dears ..

Overall one of the best dining experience Ive had. The grill on the table was a really nice touch. Great service and friendly staff made sure every dish was satisfying. Notable mention for the peaceful and serene ambiance. The creamy penne Amarula sauce was the highlight. Even though they have just 2 desserts, both were unique. Try the Walter White dessert with white chocolates and nuts.

The restaurant is know for their cocktails.The surrounding is surrounded with thick Forrest and a natural spring.They serve Continental food.But due to limited food items, isolated area and high price I have given it 2 rating

Very difficult to recommend. First of all, the place is in a very remote part of the area and is quite hard to find (Without Google Maps). Which can be a plus if youre looking for some privacy.Talking about the food. The quantity is quite less and they serve Italian/Mediterranean cuisine as far as I recall. However, if you expect Indian cuisine here, dont.The staff are very polite and courteous. They helped us pick from the menu and maintain good decorum. If theres a major downside to this place, its that it seems deserted which could probably be down to the time of year we went it.

Very disappointed friends told us it was wonderful but we had awful service with all 4 meals coming out at different times

Was searching for a great burger experience and after googling a lot narrowed it down to Ignia, and it was a risk worth taking. Although it wasnt really much crowded but the food was exceptional in every aspect. The taste is overwhelming and can expect next level of burgers not to mention the superb drinks section and waterfall as a background sound. Worth visiting if you are in south Goa.

The best place i have been to in Goa. Awesome food and cocktails. The bartender is very friendly and provides customised drinks and really tasty food options. The ambience is wonderful and the music is soothing

Fantastic BBQ Ribs, Cocktails were just innovative and fresh, and so were the Italian Herb Roasted Chicken & Ricotta, A must visit but the location is deep dead end of the forest, be sure to have enough time on you as we for fooled by the Zomato Maps and Surroundings while we we took a detour of over an hour from National Highway as we were on our way to Belgaum from Goa to satisfy our cravings, the restaurant should havs done something to take care of the disaster, nevertheless the food was good and a full thumbs up for it!

Nice barbecue food, big seating arrangement so when few people are there looks empty . Awesome food, first time ever had a hot cocktail with Brandy cinnamon n dont know what more, it tasted so good specially on a cold rainy nite. Have a barbeque grill with lit coal that set it on the table which has a depression in the middle...meats near done served on skewers which you place over live coal grill...deserts were awesome too...specially the chocolate fudge...

5 starts on ambience..... GGood service... The beauty around the place more calming.. The good is good recommend pork n prawns and the spicy chicken... They have a live band on sat evening... Can go with family friends...

A beautiful village drive, a remote place with a waterfall. Ignia a brand by itself set up by adventurous entrepreneurs with a renowned mixologist Glen. Excellent food, nees to be there to experience it. A must visit while in Goa.

Even though the place is a bit secluded, its an amazing place to enjoy delicious food.

Driving through the village to get there is a great start. The place is nestled prettily close to the Uddear spring. Not that you can see the waters but I bet you can hear it in the monsoons.The food was good. I recommend the blue cheese pasta. Their burgers have been raved about so we decided to try the pulled beef burger. The meat was great with very balanced flavour. It could have been larger though for the price.Overall a nice experience. I think it is nicer in the evenings as the afternoons are humid in the summer. But nothing beats the clean fresh air and green around you.

A winding road passing along the lake in Verna leads to ignia. Its situated in an old house which has been nicely restored . You can also hear the water flowing close by. Peaceful place with beautiful seating area.The service is excellent , everybody will greet you with a smile . We ordered chicken soup which was a perfect beginning .In the starters go for messy wings and chicken barbeque . Extremely tasty and filling .We skipped the main course as we were full and gobbled up the rich chocolate dessert.Less crowd and peace , if you like these then ignia is where should head at.

Place is nice but some rudy tourists spoiled its beuty by throwing grabage in the nice spring

Nice food, but place like that gives you ambience of local bar and restaurant because there is no music. Only football on the screen. Can you imagine going to place like that and sit and listen to the football commentry. Beer was warm. It was let down for us.

Lovely ambience.. laidback & elegant. Best place to try cocktails when in South Goa, team it up with their grills & some good company.. Bliss! And ofcourse u hav the steady sweetness of the Uddear Springs just round the block.

Its a secluded place but a beautiful one with a spring nearby. Though at night... One cannot see the beauty of this place as its a very dark area. Food is continental and Asian & Barbecue. The service is very slow and takes its own sweet time to deliver anything. I believe they have serious shortage of waiters.

Nice place tucked in the interiors of Verna. Getting there can be quite a challenge if you dont have GPS, but the place is secluded and peaceful with a great bar and decent grilled food. Worth a visit.

So my wife and I were in south Goa to check out udear springs when monsoon rains started lashing the area. We took refuge in Ignia which seemed to be at the unlikeliest of places, to be greeted by the best sea food and beef dishes, grilled right in front of us. The USP of this place is that the mixologist and the chef work in tandem to get you the best possible combination of drinks and food to accompany your choice of alcohol. I earnestly recommend the desi twist on familiar cocktails made by (possiblythe best mixologist in India. Very friendly team running the place, so if you keep an open mind and listen to suggestions, youd be rewarded with one of the best dining experiences in Goa. Highly recommended.Tip: Skip the beer and go for the desi cocktails. Be a little adventurous and try out the beef and pork dishes instead of sea food.

This place was started by bunch of friends who met in hotel managment. Must vist place wen u r in south goa, normally in goa u think of going to beach side, but spending a time in lush green place with the spring next to restuarent. and yummy food for non veg and veg, and specially pork and beef lovers ( feedback from friendsand one of the best mixologist in goa will be serving u one of the best cocktail and mocktail. excellent service and hospitality.

I along with my family went at dis place on 14 feb. The service was really very slow. We had to wait for almost one and half hr for Dinner and finally we ended innkeaving this place.Food is good, guys service arevery sweet to talk but all on cost of waiting. On top of that sm in staff are really rude nd keep judging and staring.There are enough places to spoil ur day in Goa then to be here.
