Amazing service and great food! Came in just a couple minutes before close and they were very nice about it all. Delicious authentic food! Highly recommend this place.

Please get a location in cedar city. I love there pu-pu chicken with the Mac salad and rice. Sadly no where else sells out pu-pu chicken

I highly recommend this restaurant. They have great food and service. There teriyaki sauce is addicting and the chicken is delightful. Even the prices here are great.

Only able to eat at this place a couple time a year. Cant say its the best for its type of cuisine, there are better places in town for the same sorta food. Honestly, would probably have a higher opinion of the place if they didnt keep such silly hours that means I keep getting there 15 minutes from close and denied service. Because how dare I work overnights and try my best to do things at standard business hours in America, right?

I’ve been to Island Grinds hundreds of times. Every time I get the pupu chicken and I’m ALWAYS impressed. Tafoula that runs the front is always so nice and even when I call in, she knows my order. She is on top of it! The food is made to order, which means the chicken is always crispy and hot. Island Grinds is my favorite place to go in town. They also give you more food than other island restaurants and for a cheaper price. It’s a family owned restaurant, which makes it even better! I highly recommend trying Island Grinds.

Good enough food but they have a lot of signs making it seem like customers arent welcome. "No dining in!" " We can refuse the right to serve anyone". Not a welcoming atmosphere.

Food was great!!! Only thing Orange passion can juice $3. Thought Hawaii was bad!!!

Everything was delicious, hot and freshly made to order. You wont find a better $5 lunch deal anywhere.

Update:Back in town and this was my first stop in my list of must eat at restaurants for this town and I can confirm still very enjoyable, still on the good list, and I may get again before I leave.Priorish (Oct/Nov 2021):As good as ever. I did try the other similar food chain thats popped up on this trip out and I can say they got nothing on ISLAND GRINDS. I repeat, dont waste your time at that other one and come here to be happy. I surely made sure to come here after on this short trip. Oh that mac, so good... well the whole plate was.Prior to (Decemberish 2020):Its been 4 years since I last posted the review and Im happy to say its still tasty and a good deal. I got the special lunch combo this time and enjoyed the all mac (still among my favorite anywhereand chicken katsu (Ive gotta try something different one of these times). The special combo is a really good deal if you want a filling bit on the smaller side, but if youre really hungry (or eat bigger lunchthan its probably not going to be enough so get the regular size and enjoy.Cheers to this place, one of my few must eats when I come into town.Previously (4 years ago):Been there a couple times now and the food is great, started about 2013ish. The staff is friendly. Then to top it all off, its a good value proposition. Chill inside area, clean the few times Ive been in there.

Customer service definitely could be better i made arrangements last month for a party to be catered and they canceled on me the week of your food isn’t that good for me to be willing to put up almost 700$ Then get canceled on very very dissatisfied

Covid fear is manifested there. Prices are up, service is down. Dining room is closed. The whole dining room, tables and chairs stacked by the wall.Order inside, wait outside for your order. Food reflects the fear. It is not as good as it used to be. Not going back.

This place is amazing, it brings back my amazing collage memories . My Dixie College roommate and I would eat here when her family was in town. It was such a treat for us. The shrimp is the best, the Service is warm and feels like home. Can’t wait to bring my family

Great food, but slow. Expect to wait 15 to 25 mins.Ive eating here several times and their food is amazing. They are probably the slowest Hawaiin food place in town. They have a steady pace of customers, but everytime Ive gone it s never busy; but still takes longer than it should to get your food. If it wasnt for the slowness of the order; Id give them 5 stars.Note: this place only accepts credit/ debit cards. No cash.

Yes, the Pupu chicken was really good. Ill have to try more dishes here. Call first though. Kudos for the covid protocols where 95% of the population does not wear masks.

Great place to get Hawaiian bbq if you’re in the area!My bf got the chicken pupu, and he loved it. I tried a piece and wish I had gotten it too! Their chicken katsu was the best I’ve ever had! The macaroni is overly peppery, in my opinion. But my bf who loves things to be heavily seasoned really liked it. Beef teriyaki was good but not amazing.It was easy to order. We gave the employee a name and phone number, and they texted when it was ready. The person taking orders had a mask on, but none of the kitchen staff did, but they had the back door open for ventilation.We would eat here again next time we are in the area. Gotta have more chicken pupu!

I came here during the lunch rush and waited a decent amount of time for my food. I ordered the $5 combo with Kalua pork. When I got my order, I noticed they gave me the wrong drink. I was just thinking maybe they have a cool green colored fruit punch. It was Mountain Dew, which Im not a fan of, but I was in a hurry to get back to work so I didnt worry about a drink. When I got to the break room at work, I saw the receipt and it was the wrong order completely. I was #43 and they gave me order #44 which was Pupu chicken. It was my first time here and I heard a customer saying he always orders the Pupu chicken so I wasnt going to complain. Im the guy who shows up to the party if you say free food. Despite getting the wrong order, I was very satisfied with my food. The chicken was great, the macaroni salad is better than your familys macaroni salad at every summer BBQ. It was super good. I will be back to get the pork next time. Friendly staff.

Very yummy! It’s a little bit of a “hole in the wall” but don’t let that turn you away. The Pupu chicken is amazing! And the side salad & Mac salad are great too! We also tried the pork which was very flavorful too. The service is great…very friendly & helpful. Call in and it will be quicker. We definitely will come back next time we’re visiting.

Island grinds is the BEST in St George 😍 We have been there many times and it never disappoints! Prices are great and portion sizes are wonderful!! All of their menu items taste amazing so it makes it really hard to decide what to order!! We have ordered for a big party before and they are great to work with! 10/10 would recommend them to ANYONE!! Best family owned business!

We LOVE the teriyaki chicken! Its better than any weve tried in St George. I always ask for an extra sauce, but it comes with 3 boneless chicken thighs, 2 scoops of rice, and a scoop of mac salad. The traditional kind like you get in Hawaii! Its takeout only right now but totally worth it!

First and foremost. The employees are fantastic. I Ordered the bbq teriyaki chicken with two scoops of rice and 1 scoop of Mac. The food was delicious and the portions were way bigger than I expected. Will definitely be coming back

Island Grinds was great! My wife and I visited here on our honeymoon looking to find some authentic Hawaiian food and this place delivered. The staff were very friendly and the food was amazing. We got the pupu chicken and the katsu chicken. Both were really good! And the Hawaiian Sun drinks and Mac salad on the side made the experience the best meal we’ve had on our honeymoon so far!

Great food. Great price. Cant beat their lunch deal for 5 bucks and you get a drink. I can feed my whole family for under 20 bucks. The food is fantastic. The lemon pepper chicken and the pupu chicken is a must try. The pork is amazing. Mac salad? Yes! So good. Havent had anything bad. Service is has always been great. Wish there was one closer to home up north. Visit this place every time Im in town

I live in Hurricane and I drive all the way to Island Grinds for their Amazing food. My Favorite is the Lemon Pepper Chicken, and Mac Salad (I always order extra). Best Hawaiian food hands down, they never disappoint!

We love Island Grinds!! We think they have the best Hawaiian food in the area! Their macaroni salad wins hands down!!! You can’t go wrong with any choice! Make sure to get the garlic teriyaki sauce and put in on the rice! It’s the bomb!!Their staff is always so so happy ,helpful and kind!

Holy cow! So good! Me and some friends were going out to lunch to catch up and one suggested Island Grinds and Im sooo glad they did! The food was amazing! And the employees were so nice and got our orders ready incredibly fast! amazing service, amazing food. Cant wait to go again!

We love Island Grinds!!! They have the best island food in St. George, and their Lemon Pepper Chicken is to die for. In fact, all of their food is amazing. I am from New Zealand and lived in Hawaii as well. I love that Island Grinds is owned and operated by a Polynesian family who know how to cook island food right. I highly recommend Island Grinds if you are looking for great island food.

I ate at Island Grinds today- despite being told there would be a 20 min wait, they took steps to get my food out to me in less than five minutes!! The store is always very clean when I go in, and they clearly are careful to follow COVID restrictions to ensure guest safety. The food is amazing, of course; I was craving it all day, and the teriyaki chicken plate lived up to my expectations. The mac salad is so good!! Thank you guys for the fast service and delicious food.

Island Grinds are awesome. We’ve been going there for over 5 years and we love the food. The pupu chicken is out of this world and you can always count on it to be delicious every time. The staff are friendly and always try to get you your food in a timely manner. The only complaint I have is that they only have 1 location here in Southern Utah.

We love the consistent delicious food @ Island Grinds. Today we tried the $5 combo and we’re so pleased. We had the Katsu chicken in one combo and Kalua pork in the other. Love the Mac salad! Spot on flavors! Great value

Island Grinds Hawaiian style food is awesome as well as the customer service. It’s one of our favorite places to eat. Can’t go wrong with any item. Food is always HOT & ready for take out when promised. Staff is very friendly and professional. I high recommend this restaurant!!

I had lunch today at Island grinds, and as usual it was fantastic. Today I tried the Pupu pupil chicken; It was moist tender lightly battered and the flavoring was just simply amazing. I prefer brown rice which they have, and the mac salad. This was a $10 meal, but I got for five bucks! And it’s not the only choice on the five dollar menu either. I’ve had the Katsu chicken, pulled pork, and each is tender and juicy. This is an amazing establishment keep up the great work guys

This is one of our favorite places to eat! So delicious!! The pupu chicken and the Mac salad are bomb! I even love the rice! The rice is chewy and so good with the sauce they send with it! Not to mention, we feel like you get a lot of food for your money!!

Island Grinds is one of my favorite restaurants ever! I can’t get enough of the BBQ Teriyaki Chicken - it’s always so perfectly cooked, juicy, with a great smoky flavor. And the Mac salad - the absolute best! Great value - I would also highly recommend the Chicken Katsu, Teriyaki Beef, and grilled fish. I absolutely LOVE island grinds. Their food is delicious and their $5 combo deal is unbeatable. I hate Mac salad but crave theirs especially while pregnant! I highly recommend the PUPU chicken. You can’t go wrong with any of their items. We tell everyone visiting to go here. You’ll be glad you did!

Delicious Hawaiian fare. It took over 20 minutes for three plates, but the place was packed and the results speak for themselves. A gem in St. George and a real treat for its residents.

Heart and soul in a to-go box! Please!!! Island Grinds knows how to grill yall. Teriyaki chicken is just what my starving self needed. Their $5 combo comes with choice of meat + macaroni salad + rice as a side, AND a beverage. But... Im a lover of rice and their sauce (I double upFamily owned and operated folks!!! Right here in St. George.

**UPDATE**Still finding that theyre one of the best values in town for lunch....The Pupu chicken is great!! One of the best lunches in town. Hands down must try in St. George. I also got to use Dixie Direct coupon for BOGO and 10% off the rest the year.

Wow! This is some of the best island food Ive ever had! The pork was super juicy and tender and just full of flavor! And my chicken was super tasteful as well! Plus, you get nice portions. If you havent been here yet please to stop by. The area was clean and the employees were super friendly and truly showed some great customer service.
