INTO THE ARCTIC in Akureyri

Die Ausstellung gibt es dort nicht mehr.Es ist jetzt ein Restaurant. Ich war nicht drin, aber es halten viele einheimische Autos, die Essen als Take away nehmen.

Nettes Museum mit viel Geschichte

Quirky privately owned museum with well done displays and an extraordinarily amount of bird taxidermy from a private collection. Be sure to chat up the proprietor. He will entertain you with artic lore, jokes and shaggy dog stories. The icelandic home cooking restaurant which is located in the same building served the best meal that I had in Iceland.

Kleine und nette Ausstellung. Da nicht viel los war bekamen wir sogar eine kleine kostenlose Führung. Eintrittspreis Islandstandard. Wir würden es jederzeit wieder besuchen.

Very interesting and detailed exhibitions. The owner even talked us through most of the museum. Highly recommended!

Small exhibition about arctic circle, the problem is most of information is written in Icelandic, English explanation is either missing or difficult to read.

Tra i musei meno cari e più formativi. Si. Trova ad Akurery nella zona del porto. Piccolo e accogliente con tante informazioni dettagliate sulla vita dei popoli e degli animali che popolanl la zona polare. Artica. Ci sono anche tanti animali imbalsamati e supporti video di varia natura. Tutto molto bello al prezzo di 10 € circa.

The restaurant in the museum is apparently amongst the cheapest in Iceland. 1800ICR for a main course (lamb or fish+ refillable soup + refillable salad + refillable coffee.The museum itself is interesting, but small and may easily be avoided as Its 1500ICR per adult.Helpful chap at the counter. Also met the retured pilot/owner who owns the museum . Interesting chap!!

Extremely interesting. Fantastic welcome. Manager could not have been more welcoming. Very knowledgeable Would recommend a visit

The museum was fun and interesting and the staff was great. I definitely recommend checking out this museum if you are in Akureyri. Also, the food in their restaurant is really, really tasty - possibly the best food we had in Iceland when visiting.

So many interesting items, the film at the end was brilliant.

Small museum that opened a year ago containing hundreds of objects around Iceland and Greenland. Most objects don’t have explanation plates but just ask the owner, he will love telling you more about them!You can also get a local meal for a very reasonable price!

Petit musée sans pretention, la visite sera rapide pour qui ne saura sattarder sur lauthenticité des pièces présentés. Prenez le temps, prenez le temps ! Le ticket dentrée est valable à vie, donc si vous restez plusieurs jours dans cette ville, nhesitez pas à revenir !
