The food is amazing and the service is one of a kind. They have a great menu selection and the prices were very reasonable too.

Amazing food! Unique items on the menu, very flavorful, extremely fast turnaround time. Their pork ribs were to die for!Highly recommend!

The food was exquisite. It came out a little slow, but I cant ding the service since they recommended an excellent replacement for a dish that ran out. The balado beef was sumptuous and soft. The Chilean sea bass was fluffy with a delightfully subtle crunch. The mung bean dessert resembled a custard and completed the dinner well

Went there for a birthday dinner last night. Drinks were made quickly and well.Roti was really good. Fried rice has got a nice kick and the ribs were falling off the bones tender.Service was... Weird. We felt rushed the whole time.The dining room is VERY dim and makes it hard to read.... Anything. Otherwise the patio is very pretty.

Went there with my team around 7 people. Outdoor dinning area is nice. Food is in small size but quality is really good. Even though it is not my type, I have to say foods have decent flavor. We had all three kind desert, I remembered that ice cream taste best. Staff there are nice, we stay really late even a little after business hours, nobody come to kick us out. But one of the biggest down side is there is not enough parking space. Their street parking looks unsafe.

It’s predictable and consistent. Food is good - we prefer chicken satay, roti prata. Wok fired eggplant and chicken curry or spicy basil. Some kind of egg noodle

I was raised in Malaysia and the food here really passed the bar. Even though theyre not exactly Malaysian food, all dishes were amazing. The service here was 5-star as well. The waiter helped us turn the table around when he saw the two of us were cramped sitting on the bench. The cocktail was reallyyyy good, especially the gingle ale mule. It has its own unique spin and Ive never tasted anything like this in any other bars (I often go around trying different cocktails). Everything was priced reasonably and we had an amazing fine dining experience. Highly recommend it!

we had reservations for 12:15 pm. when we got there, a sign in the door said “closed for repairs back at 5pm.” no effort to contact and let us know.

The Indonesian style barbecue ribs were a bit too sweet imo. Also they seem to be a bit short staffed and the service is p slow.

Came here with the team to eat dinner and I absolutely loved the large outdoor patio with plenty of space and seating.Everyone loved the food, it’s a mix of Indonesian flavors and some dishes elevated with more modern flavors. Portions were good sized while being tasty and delicious. Didn’t have a single bad dish. Favorite dishes were the mussels, prawns and garlic noodles, and the steak. The desserts are quite tasty as well.Service was friendly and food came out quickly.

We made the reservation and as soon as we came we got the seats. This restaurant has it’s own parking which made it easier 😀😀 The outdoor sitting ambience was also quite cool and we ordered roti prantha and love the dressing, then we had fried beans, noodles and mango salad which wasn’t that great though. Spring rolls was okay in taste and I couldn’t get much option in drinks in the menu,so i will give decent rating. Since we ordered the vegetarian options so it was ok for me. Since we came there to celebrate birthday for one of my friend, these people charged us for the outdoor cake that we got which wasn’t normal but the server was good and available frequently.

Party of 4 went for a celebratory dinner on a Thursday evening in July. We didnt have a reservation, so had to wait around 5 minutes for an outdoor table to become available. Loved the food!! We had the Gado Gado, Martabak, Roti Prata, Lamb Korma, Pad Thai, Chilean Sea bass, and Fried Eggplant. Everything was pretty tasty - I especially liked the Roti, Martabak, Lamb, and Pad Thai. It was enough food for us. We had a pot of litchi tea as well and I wouldnt recommend it - didnt really stay hot for long. Service was friendly. The tables are a bit small to hold everything. Tips and taxes included, it came to slightly under 50 per head.

The customer service was pleasant. The food was sweet which felt unnecessary at times. The fish halbot was tasteless.. overall people we were not generally satisfied with their dishes. Would not go back.

Great food, nice flavors, we liked all the dishes we ordered! Menu has good selection of vegetarian options. We took the roti curry, green papaya salad, nasei goreng, mei goreng, green sambal. For desserts, the crembrulee and coconut pudding. Will definitely recommend this place.

This was my second time here. My first time I really enjoyed it and left a 5 star review. I was not nearly as excited this time.We ordered the Bali ribs and the black pepper prime rib. The Bali ribs were a tad dry, but otherwise okay. The black pepper prime rib was way too salty and came pretty much well done despite being ordered as medium rare.The food took almost 40 minutes to come out and it wasnt until the manager came by to ask how we were doing that we got our food. Our waiter wasnt very attentive. Also my water tasted like someone put a bit of vodka in it? No idea what was up with that, but I was very put off by it.

Some positives, easy to park, courteous waiting staff, decent variety in cocktails.They have to up their game on food quality. A tone of sweetness in every dish, which should’ve been savory.

Poor service. The menu got quite a bit shorter. Further, they were out of ossobuco - which was the main reason I wanted to go that nightThat said, both green curry and seared bass were very tasty

INDO was an amazing Indonesian restaurant located in Palo Alto, CA on El Camino Real. Pretty convenient location. Theyve decent parking space too though we parked on the street right across the restaurant. Cocktails were okay...but the food was amazing. We got Roti Prata, Chicken Satay, Mussels, and calamari for the appetizers and Black Pepper Jumbo Prawns, Lamb Korma, Sambal Tofu and Pan Seared Chilean Sea Bass for dinner. More on the expensive side. Good ambience and upscale vibe. Worth a visit. Could be used for formal occasions, birthdays/anniversaries or any other events.

Lovely place. Really good food. I didnt like my drink. It was pear vodka and ginger beer, but also tasted like dishwashing liquid. I thought maybe it was some kind of floral liqueur but really came to think that they hadnt washed out the copper mug thoroughly.

When you walk in, you can already tell the ambiance of the place is great. Its dark but not too dark, making the vibe more moody. We sat indoors but the roof / outdoor patio looked very cool. I definitely want to set there next time I visit.

Food was good and tastes like traditional Indonesian Street food, although could be more flavorful and perhaps warmer (?), not sure if my food was left on the counter for awhile before being served. Restaurant seemed shorthanded on a weekend and thus service staff wasnt able to be more attentive. Nonetheless, everything was reasonably priced and the atmosphere was really good.

Was not the biggest fan of this spot. To start off with some positives, I do have to say that parking is easy to find and the outdoor seating is spacious and pleasant. The problems arise with the prices and dishes. So, my friend and I got 1 entree each, 1 appetizer to share, and 1 drink each. After all the taxes and tips, we ended up paying over $65 each. Im usually of the mind of "quality over quantity," but the portions were quite too small and lacking flavor to justify such a high price. Although we were relatively the only ones there when the spot opened at 17:00, our foods and drinks did take a considerable time to get to our table.

Vegetarians you have less options. Small plates- Roti prata must try. Super yumm. Also Pomegranate Peartini is good.

My friend took me here for a last-minute dinner and we absolutely loved it. For drinks, we had the Passionfruit Caipirinha and Pamplemousse - both delicious. Then we shared the roti prata, seafood curry and coconut rice - perfect for two people who were moderately hungry. It all tasted divine. The atmosphere is great, really relaxed and casually luxurious. The service was great. It was actually surprisingly affordable (for California prices). Highly recommend this spot for dinner.

I came here on a Thursday night with a reservation and this place has a super cute ambiance! I liked the covered outdoor seating here and the service was quite fast.We got the roti which actually was just two pieces that me and my friend split.We also got the mie goreng noodles which I surprisingly finished though the portion sizes were huge. It was good but nothing too mind blowing.I thought this place has great value for cost so would come again!

NDO is one of my favorite, go-to spots in the Bay - every experience Ive had here has been extremely solid and all of the dishes are delicious as well!During my last visit, I got to try a ton of different dishes but some standouts to me were: the roti prata (I loved the different dips it came with, especially the yellow curry dip), the chilean sea bass (the sear was PERFECT and the fish was crispy while still extremely flaky), the wok fired eggplant, and the balado short rib (extremely tender and flavorful).INDO has a lovely outdoor seating area but due to COVID regulations is only offering takeout - still would highly recommend this spot for a nice night in!

Has to be the most flavorful southeast Asian food in the Bay area. All the dishes were fantastic(anything with the sambal sauce is outstandingand the patio area is done up so tastefully. Great service to boot. Genuinely worth the dine-in experience during the lockdown.

Went there for New Years Eve. The entrance is a bit confusing... you see the restaurant when on El Camino and but there is a locked gate facing El Camino. We initially thought it was shut... the entrance is on the side street. The place was quite crowded as it was New Years eve, so they setup outside seating. We were a party of about 25 but there were also other parties the same size or larger than ours. They had patio heaters but they were very ineffective where they were but after we complained they moved them closer to us and it was much better. The service manager was great, she gave us 2 expensive bottles of champagne to make up for the inconvenience!!Anyway, we had a blast after that. The food was very good. We ordered satay chicken, rotis, calamari, poh pia. One of the roti was charred so they brought us another one. All of them were terrific. The wine selection was very good, we got couple bottles of the Mibrandt Malbec and the Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc - the wines were great but obviously dont compare the prices to retail prices :). Given the party we ordered almost one of everything on the menu. Almost every entree was good except maybe for one of the chicken dishes (forget the name now, had too much wine...). All of us had great fun and the service was good, no complaints. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Most of the dishes were mediocre at best and overpriced (typical Palo Alto 🤦🏻‍♀️also, the dining room is SO COLD. The dishes were barely lukewarm by the time they go to our table. They didn’t survive the cold walk from the kitchen to our table 😆☃️❄️Roti canai was tasty. Char Kwai teow lacked the wok hei flavor (smoky flavor of the wok). Lemon grass chicken (bumbu rajakwas so one dimensional in flavor we barely touched it.If you do go, double check your bill before paying. They charged us for an additional dish that we didn’t order (we asked them to correct it)

We love Indonesian foods and love this place. Authentic delicious foods. The best!

The steak is too salty. Probably because I’m not used to that much sauce on it... The dish seems expensive, but kind of worth it given the size of steak. Tried the other dishes that my friends ordered and they were very good. Will definitely go again and try different options on the menu

Very unique flavors, but wasnt mind-blowingly amazing. However, it is definitely worth a shot. Service was pretty good, prices relatively decent. I highly recommend the mango dessert, the roti prata, the sampler appetizer, and the seabass. The eggplant was subpar; so were the spring rolls and the lamb korma.

Very nice restaurant with some exceptional Indonesian/Malaysian dishes. Came here on a Saturday for lunch. Has a great outdoor seating are that seems to be great for events or even large parties. Has indoor seating of course and a nice long bar.Just tried a few different dishes and all were excellent. Started with beer on tap (Trumer and Sapporo). Had a stuffed Roti appetizer. Then on to Nasi Goreng (fried rice with egg and shrimpand Gado Gado (green beans, cabbage, coconut). Yum. Would definitely come back to this nice place.

Great ambience. Outdoor seating is pretty. But since it’s summer and was hot we were not able to sit outdoors. Food was good. The Chicken Satay and Roti Prata tasted delicious. The spicy chicken curry wasn’t spicy actually. The fried rice and garlic noodles were good. Cocktails and desserts were worth trying.

Felt absolutely cheated when I ordered chicken rendang only to get what I know is a curry. It was not spicy. Had to pay separately for rice. Service was okay, was reminded to leave earlier as the place was fully booked for a private event

Honestly did not enjoy the food. The server was great. The ambiance was on point. The food was just bad.I had the lobster pad Thai and it was probably the most disappointing meal Ive ever had in my life. The lobster was bland and rubbery, the pad Thais sauce tasted like ketchup and the noodles were mushy.Would not recommend.

Being from Indonesia we found the food to be very authentic, fresh and delicious. The roti prata was excellent!

The appetizer with curry was AMAZING the flat bread was cooked absolutely perfect. Friendly staff... Great atmosphere... All around great place to visit.

The martabak is really unique - shaped like a samosa but tastes like a traditional martabak. The gado-gado is great too... great place to visit for homesick Indonesians, and the patio at the back is great for events

Good place, but could be a little bit better.My Duck Kapitan was really good, but not great. One person of our corporate dinner got his dish 20 minutes later than all others since they mistakely put his dish to an another table originally. And people who brought our dishes were not sure, which of those were ours and which not. Plus their clothes wasnt neat.Finally the interior of the building doesnt have any character and needs to be renovated.
