IKEA Restaurant - Swedish restaurant in Elizabeth, United States
I ordered through online a shoe tray for store pick up. It says they have 52 pcs of it online. When we went there to pick up the product they said it wasn’t available!. I was so mad because 1st wrong information online second they didn’t even notify us earlier and third we waited at themall for 3 hours. We wasted our time and car gas for nothing!!!!I rarely complain for something but what happen was too much!
Had very bad experience today, ordered futon sofa with delivery, they brought all parts of futon, but not the spring per se, which was out of stock. Sofa was deliberately split in price by piece, so they can sell incomplete sofa, by its components, which separately would not make sense, only together. IKEA didn’t ever call to explain, emailed me rude note saying I refused the delivery. Unprecedented!!!
IKEA after COVID-19 pandemic hasn’t been the same. There’s staff shortage, broken items on display, less food variety and overall a run-down feel. Quite a few of the items are not available.
Save your relationship, save the marriage, do it for the kids. Do it all with parking lot pickup!Unless I really need to go into the store or if I really want meatballs this will be how I shop here from here on out.Updated: I went in and it was terrible, not the store, food, products just going in with family. Kids had a million meltdowns.
Good store is clean. Always best to go during midweek since less people there. But they are having supply issues. On the website and in store PC it shows items being there but when you got to the shelf items were gone.. items were in stock today
My first time here and can see why it was busy. Great furniture ideas and restaurant was tasty too!
I always find something interesting to buy. Its a little shame that during my last visit at least 40% of the items didnt have the price tag. I had to use the app to check the prices. The managers should do their job! Several items out of stock and always mismatch of price labels. Nobody checks....
Worst experience. Store doesnt have items in inventory that are on display. They asked us to order online. Then Online order never gets delivered, they have rescheduled my order 3 times and I have to fight over a call to cancel the order. Id suggest to go buy from wayfair or even Amazon but not Ikea.
Still the very reasonable furniture store specially if you are on a budget. The place is very clean and they have a very good small cafeteria that serves good food all day long.
Workers dont greet customers, low on stock on a lot of popular items. Convenient location, however mgmt needs to step up training their employees to be more helpful... rather than having their heads down texting!
Always fun to spend time looking for new kitchen items and dream about possible changes for my utility room. Also , the childrens are is a must to check out for new items.
Like Disney but for adults who love decor on a budget.Hear me out though…. Start buying your live plants from ikea. Value for money ✔️✅ Plant Health 10/10. I mean… just have a look for yourself. 🥰 Thank me later.
It was my first time back in many years, looking for a chair, desk and end table. We found what we were looking for but then they were out of the cover choice color for the sitting area chair. We searched on line and not available in several nir able to order for delivery. But 2 out of 3 items not bad and prices are good. The place is pretty big so wear comfortable shoes. We did find some art canvases we loved too.
much better the Elisabeth store than the Paramus one, nicer people and far way smarter and helpful though in general it is a total mess, they say items r available and when one goes to pick them up nothing is there or they are placed in a different bin than the one they tell on the tags.
Huge store lot of stuff and beautifully decorated 😊
If you in the Elizabet Nj area and shopping around you need to stop by IKEAand Check this place out PLENTY to choose from LITERALLY all staff is very helpful in directing you in the right wayIf you are hungry don’t forget to stop by and grab a very affordable meal‼️👍👍😋 😋😋😋👍👍also plenty of parking 🅿️‼️I guarantee you 🫵won’t come out of here empty handedBecause there always something for everyone here.Keep up the good work! They’ve been here for many years so the really know how to take care of us (ikea customers)Thank you 🙏for your many years of service 🫡
Debbie, Marlene and Tyron helped me out tremendously with my delivery since i had some issues with timing. Great costumer service from all of them and they were really caring and willing to help. Best Ikea - would Recommend 100%.
It’s a place where you can find your dream living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, basically your dream home. You can roam around the whole store, feeling like you’re in your own house. Seeing all the display designed perfectly and with just a very little space. Love all the displays, will copy some of the features seen when we visited. Awesome store.
Bought 2 floor cabinets. Had to drive to the Elizabeth store. My local Paramus was out. Only drawbacks were having to walk 6 miles to find it and the warehouse was like 80 degrees at 90% humidity. On the positive side, the cabinets were nice.
Nice huge day to spend here to ship ship ship shop. They have dining , bedroom , living room , washroom and kids necessities around .Also they have amazing lamps and stool, ladder , chairs , swivel chair, amazing parking space and even section for babies .It has amazing study room stuff and reading room . Their dining area has amazingMenu for everyone to cover up .
First time at an IKEA. A lot of work and effort is put into creating the rooms on the upper floor. Furniture is affordable and of good quality. Make sure you give yourself time to walk around.
Ive been going to IKEA for over 20 years. But since COVID I had not visited IKEA. This weekend, I went to the Elizabeth store, I was surprised at the prices and quality of the merchandise. Too expensive for cheap looking products. The staff seemed uninterested in helping customers they were in little groups talking to each other. There were very few customers in the store but the place was a mess - merchandise was all over as if all merchandise was being sold "as-is". Then the topping on the cake - the famous cinnamon buns were a joke. Selling them cheap should not be the goal. I would rather pay more for a fresh, fluffy, flavorful, and eye appealing bun - not a small, dry, tasteless bun. At one time, the whole downstairs would smell of the delicious cinnamon buns. Now, you smell nothing. The one star rating is for the cafeteria staff who were working and keeping the place clean and the friendly/helpful cashier.Im assuming the store was empty of customers because of the same things my friends and I observed. We wont be going back to IKEA.
Staff are not the best honestly, they are mean but helpful. They make the customer feel like they are doing something wrong by asking questions and like it’s not their job to be helpful for the customers. I will not give 1 star because IKEA’s system makes your visit always convenient except when you need help from the crew members, they don’t have the best attitude.
I used to be Ikea fan but I just noticed my wifes comments were so true...Ikea is expensive now!! I strongly suggest you do your homework on sofas, chairs, mattresses and even kitchen appliances...you can easily get better made items elsewhere for less cost now! A friend of ours passed on buying their new Ikea sofa due to costs last month...they bought from Raymour and Flannagin(sp?.... so as we walked thru Ikea yesterday, we took note of everything and were really shocked by their prices AND no "new" designs...all look like pre-Covid styling....Do your shopping BEFORE going now as you will not get the same Ikea deals as before!!!
I was pleased after not visiting this location or store in YEARS, at how affordable their prices still are. Ikea is more affordable than Target, Walmart & Amazon. I spent about 2.5 to 3 hours simply looking. I purchased paper light filtering blinds, 2 panels of curtains, curtain rod, candles, a set of small cutting boads, 2 under bed Storage bags, a wall mounted coat rack & 2 magazine files for $100. I missed this place and will return for more Storage related items, lighting, picture frames, & a mirror.. I dropped a star for the unfriendly staff.
This Ikea was quite large and had lots of variety. But when we went to find our bed in the isle, it was out of stock. Was not a big problem a little anoying. Also they seemed very low staffed and lines were long. The food area at checkout was out of a lot of meals besides a couple hotdogs and chips.
Overall I admired the business structure that they provided, it feels something new to walk through a store and take a look at all different kinds of ideas for home improvement, decoration, furniture, it feels quite refreshing indeed.
IKEA , definitely not cheap and the best qualityYou can find better quality products for better price in many local furniture storesSaying that , they have for sure some cheaper items , which you will find ,If you can find a free stuff member , they are really helpfulHaving membership, restaurant , fast food options is smart used globallyThe swedish restaurant or the IKEA restaurant is definitely good , in pricing as well as tasteHave a look and good luck on hunting deals
I bought some furniture for pickup. I chose the option to have help to load my car. The girl who was meant to "help" me during my last visit purposely dropped the box while we were carrying it together into the car and told me to have a good one. I dont know what thats supposed to mean and I dont care. I was a a paying customer and she did not do her job.
I love how this store is super clean. Things are very easy to find and food court is never that busy.I would suggest is more short cuts for when youre there for something specific. I hate having to go through most of the store, especially when I have the kids.
I HATE this IKEA, the only good thing was the woman and the food at the upstairs food court. The woman at the downstairs food area was NASTY, the returns line should be considered torture because they try to be tech savvy and I ended up doing all the work for them and still had to wait on a line and go through the same process I already completed. I only come here as a last resort.
First time at this Ikea location. It’s very close to the Newark airport which made it very convenient for me at this point. Since I had previous experience navigating IKEA stores, I did not have a problem finding my way around. The items I had pre-paid for were ready and waiting for me. You cannot take shopping carts out into the parking lot but they have a useful locker system for single shoppers where you can lock up your whole cart while you bring your car to the loading area. Worked out well for me.
I mean, who doesnt love ikea? Youll get your 10,000 steps in, gain all those calories back from the meatballs, and then burn them all again getting the boxes into your house and putting the furniture together. But in all seriousness, I love going there for inspiration and ideas. And I personally enjoy putting the furniture together.
Well organized. Limited choice of food but good. Clean toilets. Good product range. It has grown over the years
This place is great to buy furniture and small items, as well. I got a toilet brush and a soap dispenser during this trip. I also have furniture that I have bought and built in the past, and they hold up well. The store itself is laid out nicely. Everything is clearly marked and there are shortcuts if you don’t feel like walking through the entire store. They have all kinds of things besides furniture and household items like art supplies, stuffed animals, and pet items (leashes, cat beds, pet carriers, etc.). All of these items are affordable and sturdy. Also, the restaurant they have is really nice. There are a lot of unique, affordable meals that can be found here. I usually get the swedish meatballs plate with ligonberry juice. I also like their mac and cheese, so I get that, too. All in all, a great store that I have enjoyed visiting for many years.
I always go here for furniture. The prices at ikea are realistic and u cant go wrong with their exquisite meatballs.
For an eight year old, it was amazing. I got to see airplanes, dine in it, and shop in it (also the food was tasty)! It was also HUGE. This place must be rich! Finally... IT HAD PATHWAYS INSIDE so you can not get lost AND everything was so clean!!!
The first or last thing to do is have a frozen yogurt cone...or have one each way in or out. There are always new things here. This time I found an air purifier thats functional as a table. Fabulous. So many ideas and at such wonderful prices. The shopping carts are weird in that they can go sideways which makes pushing it difficult sometimes. The food at the food court is reasonable and delicious. The cookies and jams at the grocery area is fun. Enjoy. An update, there are very few wall wardrobes the go floor to ceiling and these do and I also included the stunning green units wow what an impact especially in person. The wall decor is beautiful and unusual not found in stores like tjmaxx and such. The dressing table mirrors are perfect. Great for dorm rooms too since not too expensive. The collapsible wash bowl is great for cleaning in that it has a scrub board on the bottom to rinse your rag and it has a rim and small handle to carry it around. It saves on cleaning product and smell when all you need may be a damp rag. The shoe rack with mat is great for winter and rainy days in that you can let the bottoms of wet boots or shoes dry out. I have never double stacked them but may try it. Very cost effective and space saver and looks tidy.
Huge place, Plenty of parking.. i wish it was easier to get to the cafeteria without getting lost in the maze of furniture marketing. Like a casino or The Hotel California you can enter but you can never leave. Easy access fromI-95. They offer delivery if you don’t have a car or just prefer someone else lug the stuff and they offer assembly also.
While shopping for new closet space and a new addition to our entrance way I realized that Ikea is constantly changing with the times. You can now find items such as refrigerators and dishwashers as well as other appliances and countertops. Great job ikea love that I can literally do a one stop shop...
Got there at 10AM opening. Store was busy, but not over crowded and everyone was masked appropriately. Many items were out of stock, especially couches. Checkout was easy and what was super helpful was the gentleman who helped us load large items. Wish I had had more cash to tip him. Really appreciated the help with the bully mattress we had.
i have a love-hate relationship with this IKEA. everything is set up nicely and maintained well for display and shopping, but its often a struggle to get certain items as the stock does not fit the demand, but the prices are good when you do find the items you are out for. everything is also organized well in terms of getting through speedily and checking out speedily but wish that there were more strict social-distancing guidelines at play. i feel unsafe as the areas get so congregated.
The mens bathroom on the first floor, there was no soap. I had to use natural water. 🤣 The hand sanitizer dispensers had no hand sanitizer. Only some. Like whats the point of them. 🤣
Super disorganized at the furniture pick up. Nobody seems to be fetching the furniture people have paid for inside the store but rather serving people who’ve ordered online/home delivery. Been waiting 45 minutes so far for a 5 lbs. towel stand and the employees are not at all helpful. It cold and windy outside, and you’re not allowed inside before you receive the text you’ve signed up for. Ridiculous!
Stock levels are low due to COVID so check to make sure that they have what you need before going. They are taking proper precautions to protect customers and employees. Overall a positive experience.
Love Ikea and all the sleek storage space savers. Great ideas for small homes or organizing. Playroom for kids to hang out while you shop is a great idea. The restaurant food was good but a little pricey in my opinion.
I made my twice yearly visit to Elizabeth IKEA today. Midweek late morning is the best time to go, very few people shopping there today. My husband doesnt come because he doesnt like the rat in a maze concept, but I love to take my time and follow every arrow! Staff was very helpful when I asked for a specific item. Lots of creative storage items. Love IKEA. Even had the mac and cheese for lunch. Yum
A good Ikea location, but a good piece of advice, if you know your way around computers and you want to buy wardrobes/dressers or kitchen make your plan before going there. The. You can just finalize colors etc and you will save a ton of time. Morning are also a lot less crowded!
A complete package, good quality furniture and home appliances. They have wide range of variety and worth buying home stuff from there. Well organized and a place you will find everything all you need to decorate your home.
IKEA took some getting used to; I didnt care for it the first couple times I went with my wife. But now I enjoy our trips to IKEA. Its a really unique store. once you get used to their system and way of doing things its a good experience every time. They have a secure drop off play area for the younger children and a very affordable cafeteria.
