Hyatt Centric Montevideo in Montevideo

Nicolás in reservations really went above and beyond. He was very friendly, especially kind, and was genuinely interested in myself and my clients. Its easy to find great properties but very difficult to find amazing staff.

Spent 2 weeks there very recently. the Staff and facilities were excellent, ESPECIALLY Natalija! Excellent Customer Service, whether it be from the bar or restaurant, or even local information. She is the absolute perfect "Face" for this fine hotel, always cheerful, helpful, and kind. I have Elite Status with another major hotel chain, but will stay here instead when i return to Montevideo, in large part due to Natalija!

Decent hotel but extremely disorganized. I stayed here with several colleagues for a week of working collaboratively together. It was difficult at best to get pricing from staff for a conference room.Unfortunately the conference room was not prepared, we needed to arrange and ask for the screen and such to be setup.Overall, average at best.

I love the Hyatt chain of hotels. The Hyatt Centric is a great place. Competent staff, with a vibe for the place. Just the right size that it does not feel crowded. Rambla location is great. My new home in Montevideo!

Its located right by a beach and the very well visited Montevideo-sign. We paid for en upgrade to a sea-facing room. Cost us only 20USD/night and gave us amazing views over the pacific! Huge room, clean and nicely upheld. The gym is very well equipped!

I stayed here with my wife and it was great. I must make emphasis in the room, what a great room, plenty space and wonderful ocean view. It had lot of variety of channels in the tv. The breakfast was perfect, lot lot of tasty food and had free Cappuccino all you wanted to take. But wasn’t perfect, lacked of green environment at least a small space inside with a green area but what I really got disappointed was about the view of the top of the building cause only can get access private parties or private events so you cannot go there and see the view.By the way the pool was also great.

That amazing breakfast was all I needed to start my day after a long trip. The hotel has a great location, my room had the most stunning view in the city (I guess). What a nice pool they have! Purple with the water at an ideal temperature!Good gym and cool bar.

Great hotel right across from the beach and Montevideo sign. Rooms are spacious and clean, beds and pillows are super comfortable and the pool is awesome! Gimena and the restaurant staff are the best!!!

Pros: Professional business class hotel: Very well maintained, excellent staff, and good sized rooms. Beautiful view out across the bay (river). Super breakfast!Cons: Dinner menu was only “ok” and bar menu was very limited. Fine if you really do not want to go out, but like a lot of business hotels not at good price point. Much better choices within easy walk.

Loved the room. Amazing view of the river and the city. Service was impeccable as well. Location is great too , in La Rambla bang opposite the famous Montevideo sign.

The hotel amenities and style are nice enough, but I would not stay here again. In general, I have been pleased with Hyatt properties but the service in this particular property is sub par. For instance, the bar told me they were out of half their menu (over 20 itemswhen I tried to order a drink. I asked for late checkout (at midnight the night priorand was told to come back in the morning by 9am only to be told they could not help me. They didn’t look me up to see my Hyatt status, they didn’t try understand my need, nothing. I mean at least tell me the night before and don’t make me rush down in the morning to be given no additional consideration. We also booked directly with the hotel as a status member and were given the worst room possible; looking out at a dirty wall and roof with AC units. If I had saved money and booked with Expedia or the like, sure, but this was a direct booking two months in advance. I had absolutely no redeeming moments here. Go elsewhere for the money.

The worst customer service weve ever encountered. Receptionist were all very kind, hotel is quite fine but the front desk manager was just horrible. We asked to move to the suit and were promised we would enter until 13:00, there for we stayed in the hotel in order to move. We informed her that we have an important meeting downtown at 15:00.The suite wasnt ready, no one called and informed us, at 20:00 she called again and said we can move to the suite but well have to check out at 12:00.Of course we did not move and stayed in our normal room.... highly disappointed with the service. After all that, at chck out time she tried to charge us for the suite.. and it took us about 40 min to explain the stupid situation she got us into.Highly disappointing. Other than that the hotel is fine..

Pretty room reminiscent of Elana at the Four Seasons Buenos Aires but without the quality of food and service. It is too bad but they are trying to improve.Their lunch buffet the last time was even weaker than usual, plates of unappealing salads not refilled, a few cheap cold cuts and very little else.I am told they are going to revamp the menu and I hope up the quality and service. The price is ok but not cheap and I know they can do better.

For current time this is most trendy hotel and most comfortable with Hyatt trained staff. There are some minuses such cool water in the swimming pool, no Champagne only sparkling wine, not perfect dry martini at the bar, but again for this time probably the most trendy hotel with very good location if you have to be in the city.
